The Best Themed Bars & Restaurants In NYC, According to Andrew Barth Feldman - New York - The Infatuation

"“Beetle House is an unauthorized Tim Burton-themed restaurant and bar. People are booking Beetle House months in advance for Halloween, so why go then? Make it Halloween right now. They've got actors playing Jack Skellington and Wednesday Addams. They've got magicians. They've got food themed to Sweeney Todd. Let the spooky side of yourself out in the summertime.”" - brennan carley

Bar Owner Clueless About D.C. Nightlife Opens Beetle House on H Street - Eater DC

"There’s a new Halloween-themed restaurant full of Tim Burton references, stuffed bats, lamps supposedly made out of real human bones, and spooky pumpkins opening on H Street NE this weekend. Before opening the doors to Beetle House, a former New York City pop-up that now has locations in NYC and Los Angeles, owner Zach Neil has done everyone in D.C. the favor of showing he knows nothing about D.C." - Gabe Hiatt

Dark and loud but plenty of fun and the food was delicious. You won't go away hungry. The risotto app and burger were really good. No one is my family had a bad meal and we tried most of the menu. The show and ambiance are on point. Beetlejuice/Halloween fans should not miss this place.

I have been to both the NYC and LA locations. Great atmosphere and love the staff. They play their roles well and provide great service while doing it. Enjoyed joining them to jump in the line and have some fun. Cocktails and food is great.

We fall into a pit of darkness just thinking about this place! We try to go when the doors first open since we aren’t drinkers. The staff always makes us feel deprived and depressed in all the best ways. We went on slasher night and barely got out with our lives! We went in for one baby beetle (virgin drink)…waddled out with a few of these, LaLaurie fries, and death by chocolate! Dan makes the most deplorable drinks and he made our whole night! Claire is a sweetheart with a heart of pitch black! This is a place for all dark souls to gather!

This was a must go to the minute I knew was going to NYC for a convention. Immediately made reservations for a party of five and they accommodated six for a Saturday at 545 pm reservation. The ambiance had me at hello, 100% Halloween and Tim Burton themed. Loved the small bar area with the iconic sand worm! Everything screamed Halloween! The pre booking for dining area is a three course meal and interaction with Tim Burton characters and show. Between the six of our guests appetizers ranged from Chester Mac & Cheese, Frites & Frights Fries and Jack's Jambalaya Risotto. We all loved the apps! Dinners ranged from Edward Burger, Butchers Bolognese, and Sweeney Beef. All delish Sweeney Beef cooked perfectly to order and loved the jambalaya! The drinks were fun, I shared the fish bowl that was predominantly coconut rum flavored which is not my favorite, the server provided extra pineapple juice to balance. The other table favorite was chocolate chocolate martini which was a hit! Great service throughout the meal. The entertainment was provided by three actors which was sporadic at table and circulating throughout restaurant and bar with some small performances for all. Beetlejuice, BoB, and Edward Sciccorhands, for a Saturday I thought maybe another character or two would have been appropriate for a packed house. Desert was also delightful, the majority had Emily's wedding cake which was raspberry tart and a light delight, and death by chocolate which the rich deep chocolate speaks for itself! I think we ended up around $115 per person plus tip. 90 minutes of fabulous fun and Tim Burton Halloween! I will definitely return my daughter is dying to go! Love to visit LA location as well! Beetlejuice was very perturbed I was there to bring his dead skin back to life! Visiting for International Esthetic and Spa Conference!

I've been here so many times. It's one of my favorite places to go. The performances are SPECTACULAR & the food is equally AMAZING! I went on my birthday this year with my work bestie & we had the best time. The mac & cheese is bomb. The Sweeney beef is delicious & the pumpkin cheese cake I'm still thinking about 4 months later 🤤🤤🤤!!!! They use to have Alice wings and I miss those soooo much!

Google
I was surprised how fun this place was on our bar run. The drinks were cool looking and decent, but the atmosphere and performance by the actors/singers was the real show stopper for me. Definitely give a it look if you can.

We recently celebrated my son's 14th birthday at Beetle House, and it was an incredible experience for kids, teenagers, and adults alike! Nestled in the heart of New York City, this restaurant is a hidden gem that stands out among the many dining options we've explored. The detailed theme of the restaurant is truly impressive, creating an immersive atmosphere that captivated everyone. The entertainers were outstanding, showcasing their acting skills and adding an extra layer of fun to the evening. The pre-fixed menu offers a generous selection of appetizers, main courses, and desserts. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, featuring fun touches like scissors sticking out of the burgers that perfectly matched the restaurant's theme. Overall, our experience at Beetle House was nothing short of fantastic. It’s the perfect spot for a memorable celebration, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun dining experience in NYC!

Google
Great experience! Loved the food and live performances, but since the bathrooms are dark they kinda stink of piss so be careful. Everything my sister & I ate was perfect except the dessert. Her cake was dry and my food wasn’t anything special. Overall I would recommend especially if you love the esthetic!

Yelp
We came during Christmas Jack show! AMBIANCE: nice photos and other small decor. I would have liked to see way more lighting and the Christmas tree was underwhelming. STAFF: Amazing! From Lydia to Jack they were all engaging and witty! Lydia's singing voice blew me away. They make the price worth it. FOOD: I loved the Mac n cheese, and the meat dishes were yummy. The drinks were strong and tasty. Desert was nothing special. Food came fast hot and ready. CLEANLINESS: Average NOISE: nice low music. They do a great job of turning it up during show time and lowering it during food service. You can have a conversation here and enjoy the show OVERALL: I loved the experience and would definitely come back for Christmas. We did the 3 course meal for 65 PP and all-in spent $102 PP including tax and tip (18% gratuity is included). And it was awkward when the waitress asked for additional tip if we would like to tip only her. Try to grab the seats by the entry or center.

Yelp
I have quite a few thoughts and opinions about this spot, so let me break it off into some categories. Atmosphere - 3.5/5 - I loved the look of the bar, and I loved the decor. I think the art on the wall and the pieces they added to make it very Halloween-esque were great. However, and it's unfortunately, the way the space is built, but it is extremely narrow at BeetleHouse. Essentially, they have a wall separator that separates the bar from the dining area, and it makes it so very hard for both people and actors alike to walk up and down. There is also a little back room area and when the actors go over there, if you are in the front, you can't see what they're performing. You just hear them singing. And vice versa. I feel like that takes away from the experience because of the way the area is built. They also encourage exploring, but it's kind of hard to when people are eating right in front of the thing you want to see, and it's already narrow as it is. Actors - 4.5/5 - The actors were so exceptional and honestly, they really did work with what they had. The makeup was great, the singing was good, but what really made it where the individual interactions they did with people at the tables. It was my cousin's birthday and Beetlejuice in the most Beetlejuice way took pictures with us. Lydia and Emily from corpse bride was there that day and they were cutting his ass the whole time, which was hilarious honestly, what went against them is the fact that the house is built the way it is. But they did what they could! Food - 4/5 - I read mixed reviews about the food so I didn't have high expectations when I got there. Now, I do think it is quite expensive, but you also need to remember you're paying for dinner and a show essentially, so the prefix menu makes sense. As for the food itself, I had the mac & cheese, the Bolognese, and a chocolate cake. The Bolognese was OK, I could've done for more meat and sauce, but when I ate it the next day for leftovers with grated Parmesan cheese, for some reason, it was so much better! The chocolate cake was a bit too much and too chocolatey for me, but that's just my opinion. The mac & cheese, however, FIRRRRRREEEEEE. That was some of the creamiest mac & cheese I've ever had. I did not expect the mac & cheese to be so damn good, but if I worked there, that would be the only thing I'd ever eat all the time and I'd turn into a mac & cheese ball. Overall -I'd say, if you are curious, totally go at least once. I had a great experience, and I think, though the bar does sound like it plays on a gimmick, they do a really good job of making it a true authentic experience.

Yelp
I love Halloween and I love Tim Burton so of course I had to come here especially as we were travelling to NYC with my friend's goth teenage daughter and trying to find things she might like. First off, the decor in this place is impeccable. There are so many nods to Tim Burton's movies, it's like a treasure hunt to find all little easter eggs from the movies. The menu is pre-fix so you choose an appetizer, entree and dessert for a flat fee. They had enough to choose from that everyone was able to find something they liked, even my picky child. They serve the drinks with dry ice, so they come to you smoking, but really, really cold. I didn't trust the dry ice so I plucked it out of my drink. It was literally freezing my throat. What I didn't know is that they have entertainers dressed as Beetlejuice and Edward Scissorhands come around to each table which makes me...uncomfortable. I guess I should have read the yelp reviews before we went! All in all food was good but expensive. Atmosphere was incredible, and if you're a theater kid, you will love it.

Yelp
Came back again 2x since the review - Beetlejuice was there each time with Liv and Bob. No fire breathers though. Smells so good! And food/drinks are still great - they keep their menu fresh. Service was excellent! I came with a bigger group including kids and everyone had such an amazing time.

Yelp
This was my second time coming here. I made a reservation a week before on Yelp but when we arrived at 5:15pm on a Saturday I was told they were switching reservation services and had no record of my reservation. It was okay! They put my name in the new system and we were promptly seated. The bar was quite busy but the dining room wasn't too full when we arrived but filled in as time went on. We were told to scan the QR code to get the menu and everything is pre-fix including 3 courses appetizer, entree and dessert. We ordered drinks which came out quickly and were so fun bubbling from dry ice. I had the pumpkin flavored one which was also delicious. The menu had changed since I came a year ago but I loved the new selections for appetizers. We placed our food order and waited for the performers to start. The food comes out quickly which is great! Beetlejuice, BOB, and Wednesday were performing that night. They were all great and very interactive taking pictures and doing funny scenes with one another. We loved it. I had the jambalaya risotto for an app and my friend had the salad both were delicious! We both ordered the burger as an entree and it was so much bigger than I expected and cooked perfectly. I like that they ask if you want all of the toppings since I am allergic to eggs that is included. The desserts were also delicious I had the pumpkin cheesecake and my friend the vegan tart with sorbet. Definitely worth the cost for the prefix as it is a lot of food. Everything was tasty and the service was great. The performers also fantastic. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Beetle House NYC offers a fun and quirky atmosphere that perfectly complements its unique cocktail menu. I tried a few drinks, and each one was creatively crafted, with bold flavors and intriguing presentations. The Beetlejuice-inspired cocktails were especially fun, and the flavors were spot-on. The vibe is dark, eclectic, and perfect for a night out with friends. The only downside was that service could have been a bit quicker, but overall, it's a great spot for cocktails and a memorable experience!

Yelp
They get one star for the decor. Me and my partner ordered the burger and bolognese pasta dish. Appetizers included Mac and cheese and jambalaya. The bolognese dish was so greasy. Went here last night and I am so sick within only a few hrs of eating. Don't recommend unless you want to get sick. Service was quick and the "show" consisted of one performer singing like 1-2 songs followed by another staff member dancing the Wednesday dance from the Netflix series. I don't consider this a show tbh. It was cute but you can probably find better shows elsewhere Their drink was the exception: I ordered a gin drink. Was pretty good. However, again, given that I am sick as I write this...I wouldn't come back. Such a shame. I had high hopes for this place.

Yelp
Beetle house was fantastic. It reminded me of those summer nights in my early 20's ; Where my friends, and I would go into the city for fun dinners on a whim. Beetle house was whimsical ,and fun. My inner child loved the performances. The food was pretty good comfort food. My brother chose this place for a late dinner, and it did not disappoint. I also enjoyed their pop up next door called creep crust. Definitely come here, and have an open mind and enjoy!!

Yelp
As a HUGE Tim Burton fan, I thoroughly enjoyed the two meals I've had here. The food and drinks were beyond my expectations! The character actors were very talented! The decor exceeded my expectations, and the second time I went, they changed the esthetic, and it was even more interesting! I cannot wait to bring my daughter who's a Beetlejuice fan! Make sure to book your reservation before going!

Mandy W.

Yelp
Fantastic vibe and decor, great food, and excellent performances from the cast. Beetlejuice and Bob were the two entertainers for the night and they came out and performed quite a few times during our meal. They even took the time to go table to table to talk to people and take photos. Even though the prix-fixe cost might feel pricey, it's worth every penny between the food and entertainment. Definitely a must-visit if you love Beetlejuice or all things Tim Burton. Recommend going on a Friday or Saturday night when the place is packed as the atmosphere is fun with more people!

Sho S.

Yelp
Me and my boyfriend came here for my birthday. Everything was amazing the food the atmosphere. It was so much fun, definitely recommend and very accommodating.

Yelp
The food here is surprisingly delicious for a themed restaurant. Just check out their menu and trust that you will want to come here. The service is amazing AND entertaining to boot. The entire staff stays in character as you take in the world of Tim Burton. We came to celebrate a birthday and did the whole cosplay Victorian steam punk thing which delighted the staff. Walking in, you're greeted by Wednesday Adams--and so the dinner show begins! Our server was Mrs. Lovett (from Sweeney Todd) and she was wonderful! She serenaded us with "By The Sea," chatted up our 12 year old and gave her a mini rolling pin--a nod to London'd worst pies. There is a set price of $60 per person over the age of 12 for The Poltergeist Feast. This includes your appetizer, entree, and a dessert. I ordered Boogie's (as in ANBC's Oogie Boogie) Braised Bacon over grits, the Sweeney (as in Sweeney Todd!) Beef complete with a barber's razor on top, and a Willy Wonka Vanilla Sundae. I had to take that dessert home because I didn't have room after my appetizer & entree. I took pictures but it was hard because lighting inside was so dim. The flash just ruins how entertaining the plating is. Reservations are preferable so go to their website and find a group of friends to go with and experience this dinner theater for yourself. Good Times are ahead! Maybe I'll see you there because we're definitely coming back.

Yelp
Visited the Beetle House while in NYC for Thanksgiving and it was WICKED good! My teenage daughter loves theater and Beetle House was perfect with select staff in full character from Sweeney Todd! The food was fantastic as well! With each of us having a different 3-course entree! If everyday is Halloween for you this is your place!

Yelp
Been wanting to come here for so long. Finally with my girlfriend, which we are huge Tim Burton fans and love Halloween, got to visit this place! Place is small and narrow, gives vibes that it's a dive bar and they said: hey , let's put up some Halloween stuff up. Not complaining, it does look amazing inside. The food is pretty good and came to our table quickly, my burger was huge. My GF had the Sweeney Todd steak. The cool thing was we got to keep the hardware that was on the plates (scissors, barber blade) There is a show going around , we had beetlejuice singing and he does come to every table to joke around, he was very funny. We also had Lydia that night too. They sing several songs during the dinner session. The only issues we've had is that the waitress (she was extremely nice) came to the tables too many times too soon. Asking if everything was ok, it kinda seamed like they were rushing us, but they never really did. Also , the restrooms are a disaster, they should really improve this part of the restaurant. Yikes. Now that's something scary.. Reservations are recommended and the tip is already included in the bill. Come and enjoy!

Yelp
The food and service here were absolutely fantastic. The actors and actresses did a phenomenal job! Our server was very consistent even though the restaurant was super packed. The food came out great and we left stuffed. We made a reservation at 7:30 and was taken to our table at the exact time. We had great seats for the shows they were putting on too and they sang us a happy birthday which was hysterical! The ambiance and the people working there are wonderful. I'd recommend making a reservation here! We paid $180 for two people but we ordered alcoholic drinks. It was worth the experience and I'd come back again
google avatar

Yelp
Omg amazing from the staff, to the food, to the ambiance everything was planned out perfectly! Went on Friday the 13th so much fun! They were ever accommodating with menu and drinks! Definitely referring and going again in the future!!!!

Yelp
We headed up to the city for an early dinner. Reservations and reminders stating to arrive 15 minutes early. However, when we arrived and walked in, we were rudely told "we are not open!" As to which we replied we have a 4pm reservations. Met with give us 15 minutes and were basically pushed back outside. Luckily it wasn't raining cause I definitely would be mad. So, that was a turn off right away and not the best way to start our dinner experience. It is NY so parking is an absolute nightmare. Around the restaurant is all 2 hour street parking. So, you're required to arrive 15 minutes early, everyone in the party has to be there. So time everything accordingly as much as you can. We were not brought inside till 5 after. Host reminded us they are very busy and there's a 90 minute time limit for your reservations. If I wasn't going to be charged for canceling I would left. Tim was our server. Greeted us right away and very pleasant!!! His complimented everyone the same way so it definitely was not authentic. Explained the menu set up. Order was in by 4:12pm. Music was extremely loud to the point you couldn't have a conversation with your table! Had a headache leaving!!!! Appetizers came out at 4: 23pm. I ordered the The Healthy Death and hubby got the Mac and cheese. Mine was just bland. No seasoning what so ever. Didn't even finish. Took two bites and left the rest. However the Mac and cheese was packed with flavor. Very creamy! Pasta was cooked perfect! Main course came out at 4:32pm. I ordered the vegan bolognese and he ordered the filet with the mashed potatoes. Nothing is seasoned at all. Had to ask for salt and pepper. As a vegan dish, was it horrible, no. His steak was cooked to temperature. No seasoning. Mash was dry and again no seasonings what so ever. Dessert was ordered at 4:49pm and came out 4:54pm at I ordered the dread pudding without ice cream and he got Sandy Sweet Dreams. Bread pudding had a very fudge-like texture. Blah. His cookie was horrible! The name fits it with it saying Sandy. The over all ambiance is dark and mysterious. Hold true to the name. However, once inside you see how rundown . Vent was covered in dust. There was splatter on the walls. Literally used my napkin to try and wipe it off. Everyone was sticking to the floor. The prices / menu is fixed at $60. However you can have upgrades and or changes for a small charge, which is nice. There was a short little magic show which was cute and entertaining for the guests. He looked the part of that can make sense. A Wednesday Addams came to the table and was in full blown character as well. Didn't stay long and had the same speech for everyone. So maybe make it more personalized to each table. Over all after waiting for almost two years to finally get here very disappointed. Would not come back. Almost left in tears.

Yelp
The ambiance and theme is excellent. Service is prompt and friendly. Food is also very good and reasonably priced for NYC. Overall it was a fun experience and worth a visit, especially if a your Halloween enthusiast.

Danica S.

Yelp
Not gonna lie, this place was actually more fun than I thought. A friend and I only did a walk in and so stayed in a bar area, but that huge fish bowl drink (fun, overflowing, filled with the best candy--nerds and Swedish fish) was $15 and was made into a mocktail on request. That's already cheaper than the cheapest mocktail at paradise lost next door. It was almost pure sugar so a bit much for me but also part of the fun. Got a bar seat easily and was attended to by the friendly staff. The references, fanart, and decor all throughout are fun. And the back oddities area smells nice! One standout thing was that jack skellington came around to talk to not just the kids but to us. I usually find that annoying but the guy had the voice down and had a lot of fun in-character banter.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
We had a fun delicious meal. Making the reservation was easy. The actors were great that visited our table multiple times. My kids are 1, 5 and 8 and loved every second, especially the potty mouth jokes.

Keima C.

Yelp
We had a amazing time the food was delicious and very creative! The service was great very personal environment chill we loved it will be back soon!

Yelp
As a Tim Burton fan, this was such an amazing experience!! Definitely worth the hype!

Yelp
I've been here a few times. and it's always amazing! The food and drinks are good and it's such a cool atmosphere to be in. I'll continue to come to this place every time I'm in NY.

Yelp
Good food, great atmosphere. The waiters are very warm and welcoming. The decor and costumes of the restaurant and employees are fun and interactive

Yelp
Came in on Halloween and had a great experience! Performers were amazing, food was delicious, plus the decor had me in awe. We were greeted by Bob (from Beetlejuice) at the door making my time here was enjoyable start to finish!
google avatar

Lilly A C.

Yelp
Had a great time! A Halloween themed restaurant. Greeted by Wednesday who sat us quickly, the server came quick and took our orders, for drinks we had the beetles juice & headless horseman, drinks were on point. The appetizers were delicious (Cheshire Mac & cheeses & nightmare on 6th street fries) both entrees Sweeney beef, so delicious , filet mignon was cooked perfectly as ordered on top of garlic mash. The entertainment throughout the night just added to the Halloween vibe.
google avatar

M. A.

Yelp
We had a great time. The food and drinks were very good. The actors were good. Service was good. Entertaining. The Ambiance is loud with frequent interruptions. Very close to Subway.
google avatar

Kaitlyn C.

Yelp
This restaurant is a very cute novelty dining experience. There were the Beetlejuice characters such as Bob and Beetlejuice himself performing songs and taking photos with diners. The food was ok. It wasn't bad, I don't think I would ever come back for the food but it was visually appealing. The service was really great. The waiters as well as hostess were very nice and constantly checking on my friend and I.
google avatar

Eleanore S.

Yelp
I went with a friend last year and this was such a fun experience. I loved all of the live performances and the decor was very reminiscent of the movie. It was very entertaining. The food and service were excellent as well. I would definitely go again and I highly recommend! This is definitely a nice place for an event, like celebrating Halloween or a birthday!
google avatar

Ali C.

Yelp
we came in tonight , greeted by an unpleasant hostess, some how our reservation got messed up and she made it seem like i was a massive project to fix. Her hosting skills were lacking. We sat had Amanda as our waitress she was the only saving grace. I spilled somethin on my shirt and used one of the cheaply dyed napkins to try to get it out when in turn the cheap crappy nakin turned my white shirt black ruining it. Not to management get better napkins people use then to wipe up things including drips on clothing. I called amanda over explained to her what happened. She brought me a white cloth napkin and some seltzer. I tried my best to get the stain out, but my shirt was ruined. Disappoint it was a brand new shirt. The food was subpar best and the drinks were lacking. everything But amanda was horrible. wouldnt return ever.

Yelp
I knew it would be entertaining but I didn't expect food to be as good as it was. Fun night out, enjoyable entertainment and drinks.

Yelp
Awesome place we had a blast ! The entertainers were a blast - we went in with lowered expectations on the food but it was really good! The decor is a blast ! If I had one thing is the music ( which was great ) was way loud ( but I'm old ) would definitely come back ( I even bought a T-shirt)
google avatar

Yelp
Atmosphere is truly one of a kind. Tim Burton inspired restaurant. There is so much detail from the second you walk in from the outside, decorations, staff, food, presentation and the ambiance. Food was very good - loved the decorations of fake blood on my steak. Very cool experience!
google avatar

Morena G.

Yelp
I love this place there drinks and also there food but more scissors hand hamburger.

Beverly W.

Yelp
The food was great the atmosphere was great. My only complaint is the service charges seemed high and I prefer to choose my gratuity instead of having it automatically added to my bill.
google avatar

Lisa Z.

Yelp
Stopped in while bar hopping during this past Halloweekend. Was super crowded and packed so we weren't able to stay for long as we had a bigger crowd. The decorations were really nice for Halloween and the staff was quick and efficient. Recombined checking out if you're in the area on a Friday or Saturday night for a quick stop if you're bar hopping.
google avatar

Lori H.

Yelp
Very unique experience, the character's were done well.......and the food was better than I was expecting, flavorful, and excellent quality cut of beef. The selection of cocktails were really cool. Awesome experience! The only thing I will say was that it was a little off the beaten path , but still worth going to. Nice job guys!!
google avatar

Tara O.

Yelp
Fun for Halloween but the wait is long and it's a bit cheap looking inside. Cocktails were fine, did not try any food.
google avatar

Milli P.

Yelp
The food here was so delicious!! This isn't just a meal; it's a full-on culinary circus! The kids were entertained, The entire team was superb--like a well-oiled machine, only instead of oil, it was fueled by laughter and a sprinkle of magic. If you're in the mood for dinner and a show, this place is where culinary dreams come true--just be prepared for your kids to ask if they can live there. Don't walk; RUN to experience this deliciousness!
google avatar

Carri R.

Yelp
Fantastic! I wasn't expecting much because this was a themed restaurant. I was so wrong. The food was fantastic. The filet was cooked perfectly, Mac & Cheese was creamy & super cheese, and the chocolate cake really was "to die for". During dinner characters sang and interacted with guests. My 13 year son loved this place too & is already asking when we can go back.
google avatar

Alyssa G.

Yelp
So my husband was stalking their reservation list and was lucky enough to get us in on 10/28 at 5:15pm. Soon as we got in the halloween spirit was definitely in the air. The details of decorating this restaurant is beyond spectacular! The place needless to say was a packed house. We got seated within a few minutes by this lovely hostess. We got to sit in the back room which was very nice as well. This is definitely dinner with a show. The staff were in my opinion like professional actors and actresses! Beetle juice and Wednesday were the best, great dance moves and totally in character. Wednesday was definitely channeling her inner Wednesday lol. The mock tails and food were good and the set up for the food was very well thought out! This whole restaurant is a vibe and I'll definitely be back next October! Thank you all for the amazing night out and delicious food and drinks!

We had such a great time at Beetle House! We were able to get a reservation at 8:45 so that we could see the 9pm show. My little one loves Tim Burton movies so i thought she'd really enjoy this. The ambiance was very cool. They let us take pictures all over the restaurant. The characters that night were very interactive. They even took our phone to take a pic of us and then started taking selfies which my little one thought was hilarious! The food was good and didn't take long to arrive. The drinks were also good. We'd definitely be back!

Yelp
Amazing little spot for Halloween lovers. I am a huge fan of Beetlejuice as well so I knew I had to stop by for a fun experience at Beetle House. I was pleasantly surprised during our visit as I expected this to be a major tourist trap with iffy vibes but I found it be enjoyable. A friend and I did not make a reservation because we only wanted to stop in for one drink and so we sat at the bar with no issue on a Friday night. The staff was nice and welcoming and the bartender quickly serviced us. The decor and vibe was super fun, plenty of Halloween decor and odes to Beetlejuice. I found the extra touch of Halloween and spooky decor to be the best!! We took many cute photos of the decor and our bubbling drinks. I ordered the Midsommar and my friend got the Beetle's Juice, both really great. They also had live music and a food menu, although I did not order food so I don't have much feedback on that. Although this comes off as a tourist trap, I say pay it a visit anyway - it is worth the splurge because of the fun vibes.

Yelp
I went here with my 12 year old daughter and we had a great time! She had no idea who Beetlejuice was but she thought he was very funny. The food was delicious and came out quick. I had the 6th st fire fries, sooo good. The burger was massive and cooked perfectly. We ordered fun drinks that fizzed and smoked! All around great place!

Yelp
Came here during the Halloween month of October and it was so busy, we got a reservation from a wait list. The line for check in was pretty long, Alize made it painless with her great customer service, even though we were seated 30 mins after our reservation time. I recommend coming in earlier than the time you would be hungry. We ordered from a prefixed menu. For appetizers we tried the Boogie's Braised Bacon which is a small piece of Braised Smokey Pork Belly on a unique Bed of Cheesy Grits with a Maple Glaze. We also tried the Cheshire Mac & Cheese. For entrees we had the flavorful Edward Burger Hands, Topped with melted pepper Jack cheese, smoked bacon, a sunny egg, avocado, roasted red peppers, lettuce, tomato, drizzled with sriracha aioli, and finished with a pair of beetle house scissors which we got to keep. We also had the tender Sweeney Beef, an 8oz filet mignon served with garlic mash potatoes, finished with a razor we got to keep. These are the only two entrees that come with keepsakes. For dessert we had chocolate cake and an elderberry tart served with raspberry sorbet. All the food was surprisingly more delicious and I could have imagined. I also enjoyed several drinks. While we were eating there were great performances going on from actors portraying characters from a few Tim Burton films. This was overall a truly great experience I recommend you try!

Yelp
Embrace Halloween vibes all year round at this spot! This place is exceptionally intriguing with the presentation of some of their drinks. Overall the food, drinks, and overall ambiance were a sight to see! It was super pack because we went in October which is probably their busiest month of the year. The restaurants unique and imaginative decor is a must see, especially if you're a fan of all things Halloween. I plan on returning when it's not October to see if the dynamics change at all when it's not Halloween month, but still a place to experience.

Yelp
The food and atmosphere was great. I didn't feel like we got to see much entertainment though. We saw Wednesday perform one song and her and anothr character came around and talked to all of the tables. We told them we were celebrating my sister's birthday but they did nothing for her. OUr dessert selection was rushed and even though we were told 90 min in the beginning, the timing of the food was out of our control. Also when the bill came I was overcharged for the tip.I confirmed that the 18% service charge was tip and they said yes but when I got home and got the receipt which was txtd to me It showed I was charged 18% twice once for service charge and once an additional tip. I sent an email but it wasn't answered. Overall I felt the food was worth the price and the place itself was adorable albeit small but I would def pay cash to avoid any overcharges
