"My mom and I went kayaking in Hines Park with a group from the Friends of the Rouge over Mother’s Day weekend and it really worked up an appetite. On my way home, I stopped by Beirock Wraps, a casual Lebanese Mexican spot in Garden City, and was impressed by the shawarma nachos — loaded with chunks of tender steak, nacho cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, and the restaraunt’s signature Beirock sauce. Arabs and Mexicans have been co-existing within relatively close proximity in metro Detroit for decades, and have an even longer shared history dating back to the early days of tacos al pastor, making it only natural that we would be blessed with a spot that celebrates both cultures’ culinary contributions in one place. Owner Adrian Jimenez tells Eater that he started learning about Middle Eastern cuisine around 2008 and quickly picked up on similarities between the food of his Mexican background and that of Lebanese food, including an insistence to keep tradition alive. Beirock does this seamlessly, allowing ingredients typical of each region like turmeric, allspice, cinnamon, paprika, and cumin to combine, resulting in incredibly rich, complementary flavor combinations — such as with that Beirock sauce and the nacho cheese, which are both liberally ladled over warm tortilla chips. The shawarma meat at Beirock is not prepared on a spit, but rather on a charcoal grill, which Jimenez says helps lock in those flavors. I kept trying to decide if the nachos were more Mexican or more Lebanese. The answer is both. And I love that." - Serena Maria Daniels

This restaurant is amazing! Both the food and service were perfect. Very clean too. The chef/owner really takes pride in his food and making sure each customer has a good experience. Highly recommend! Update- just started getting my meal prep meals from here. Delicious! Abe was amazing and very easy to work with and order my meals. Looking forward to my weekly orders 😊 I’ve now completed week 2 of my meal prep meals and I am so satisfied with both the food and service. I highly recommend for anyone trying to make lifestyle changes and still enjoy what they eat.

First time here. We ordered a chicken volcano and a steak burrito. The chicken was ok. I liked the steak burrito, it was definitely different that the regular burrito but it was good. The staff were friendly and nice, and the food didn’t take long to be served.

This place is unbelievable. As soon as I walked in the employees were very accommodating and friendly. I watched them make the food and you can tell everything is authentic and fresh. I talked with the owner who was extremely friendly. When I got home to eat the food it was heaven in my mouth. I ordered the kabob sandwich super. The meat inside this sandwich was cooked perfectly. It had a little pink to it and was tender. The size of the kabobs were large compared to other middle eastern restaurants that are cheap with the size of the kabobs. Not BeiRock. We also ordered the Qusabirria which was amazing and I highly recommend. The meat was very tender and it was delicious. Definitely will be back, favorite new spot.

Amazing food and awesome staff!! I lost my wallet and the staff found it and held onto it for a whole day and returned it with all of its original contents. Very pleased

The owner and staff at this restaurant are beyond unbelievable. I order the same order of chicken tacos each and everytime that I place an order with this establishment. All times have been really good. Today, I ordered my regular but this time they were so spicy, literally to the point I could not eat them and I love spicy food. I called the restaurant to see if there had been a mix up with my food when we picked it up. The lady on the phone immediately jumped into defensive mode and was extremely rude saying that that’s the way they make their tacos and that’s how they come. I tried to explain that they were different and maybe there was a mistake. She told me I can’t help you I will get the owner. He then proceeded to get on the phone, asked me what the problem was and as soon as I got the word spicy out he cut me off, said the same thing that she said. And said I will take off all the sauce and remake it. He was rude and would not even hear me. Then told me I don’t care what you do and hung up the phone. Unbelievable

Updated review: The owner offered to personally make me a bbq wrap correctly and it was perfect. I really loved the garlic parmesan fries he included as well, if they're not on the menu yet definitely ask about those! The food has always been consistently good here and I love restaurants like this where the owner is a chef and makes his/her own recipes. Everything I've had here has been good especially the smoothies, don't miss out on those. This is a place worth going out of your way for, let's just hope for fewer "off" days. Original review: I don't usually write reviews, and I especially don't like doing negative reviews. I really want to support businesses not bring them down. However, it's really unacceptable when you have to open up your food to go searching for the ingredients that are supposed to be there, that you PAID for... Even more unacceptable when you call and all the chef can say is "I put it in there." Okay, you be the judge. Look at the pictures and tell me if that looks like it has ranch, cheese, and tortilla strips. I love this restaurant and their BBQ wrap has been a favorite of mine for years, so I'm including a pic from 3 years ago for comparison. I understand there are supply and cash flow problems in the world right now but just be up front with your customers and tell them that you can't afford the ingredients or they're too hard to come by, whatever. Or stop serving the dish! If you can't do it right, it's better to not do it at all and preserve your brand image. I would have even been happy to order anyways with an appropriate discount from the menu price, of course. See for yourself. The tortillas aren't even green anymore.

I was on assignment from Doordash to photograph some of this creative restaurant's dishes. Adrian, the owner for the last 5 years was intent on showing his mexican/Middle Eastern fusion dishes. He has hit it out of the ballpark! Take a look at these dishes. They are tastier than they appear. I had the opportunity to taste the chicken shawarmas and fattoush salad. So good! But I know the shawarma tacos and nachos are very popular. I highly recommend their service and dishes. Also, they play great music videos while you wait.

Yelp
Food was hot, service was pretty quick, and seating and ambience is nice! Excellent wrap made to my specifications!

Kien H.

Yelp
So it's very small shop so it's more along the lines of a carryout situation but there are about six booths there if you do want to have a seat. You come to the front and order at the counter. They were cool and brought our food to us. Chef came around and talked to us for a few too. Hummus was great. Cheese sticks were okay. The steak shawarma was huge and super flavorful. The meat was mad tender and actually went well with the hummus too. The chicken shawarma fries were pretty good. Nothing was topping the steak shawarma though. Got some extra garlic sauce and it was just right! 10 out of 10, would recommend.

Pam S.

Yelp
Lots of processed yellow that is heavy . Why all the cheap oil on great food? More healthy but oil is concerning

Amanda R.

Yelp
Very rude ppl, talking over your customers when they are trying to look at the one menu you have doesn't help. Then talking about them to ur co workers. Seeing reviews on how this place is falling off makes sense. And it starts with the employees. Photos looked great but, it's just not how we do it here. Get your act together and off your attitude.

Yelp
My last stop for food while visiting back home, and so happy I stopped here. I ordered the chicken shwarama wrap and the small chicken fattoush salad. After calling it in and hearing the total was $22 for these two items, I was shocked. Seemed a little pricey for those two. Once I arrived for my food, I asked why it was so much and was told that they don't do a small chicken fattoush (though it's what I saw on the menu). At that point, I'm thinking no big deal because I haven't had this in a few years. I was definitely enjoying my salad until I realized there was not enough fattoush and definitely not enough lettuce. It was more chicken than salad and I would have preferred more lettuce on a $13 salad. Two people next to me while I ate even commented on the lack of lettuce! Wish I had a better picture to show of how much lettuce I had. Overall, the food was good but the salad was not worth the price even if the chicken is delicious.

Dawn V.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was exceptional- Completely unexpected for this little spot in a shopping plaza Chicken shawarma can be a wrap, over rice, over hummus, etc. the hummus is smooth as silk- creamy and perfect. Don't leave without the shawarma fries- no pic can explain it although I'll post one. Everything good about the chicken shawarma over fries with lots of cheese- it's a fabulous invention, lol! We also had the rice salad- very nice and not overly dressed. All comes with pita The young woman at the register is extremely friendly and all was ready before expected pick up time.

Ian M.

Yelp
I haven't tried everything but I add grilled bell peppers to the shawarma after a workout and it hits the spot everytime

Lauren H.

Yelp
After the gym I needed something quick and healthy and I saw this little gem across the way. Customer service is great, food was ordered and recieved in less than 15 minutes, and the juicy chicken wrap I ordered was sooo filling and good. The chicken was all throughout the wrap unlike some places where half the wrap is meat snd other half Lettuce. I will return

B G.

Yelp
Cooks just need to change gloves or not touch phones wallets or everything around them with the same gloves they cook with .

Dory K.

Yelp
This place is good! They seem to run out of falafel quickly so I haven't had a chance to try it, so I have gotten the chicken shawarma wrap and chicken shawarma fries with the stuffed grape leaves and l are amazing, especially the shawarma fries! Try it out.

Nancy M.

Yelp
Today the service and the food was awful. This girl had no concerns because they already got their money for the food so she didn't care to check on the table. It's sitting there waiting for her to service them. She gave me mushy tomatoes in my salad. I didn't come and explain after that I paid knowing what I wanted that something wasn't included gave me old rice chicken not cooked and still hasn't came to my table because it doesn't concern her. I really don't know where the owner is today but I really wish she was here to see this crap.

Vancey P.

Yelp
The food was good. I had a Philly wrap and it was a 10 but unfortunately, the fries were barely lukewarm and they get a 7. Lastly I had a smoothie and it was a 10. Average a 9/10!! If the fries were hot or hotter than cool it would have been a perfect score for me. I will be back. The service was friendly and the food was cooked to order. That is worthy of extra points! I recommend this place. It took 20 minutes from order to receiving it. That was fine and had my fries not just been sitting waiting for my wrap they would have been hot. They sat in the to-go container getting cold while my wrap was smokin hot. Should have been timed better. I hate cold fries.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
This is my favorite place to get a shawarma wrap. I now go here every Thursday to grab one. The price is great and it is honestly the best shawarma wrap I have had here in Michigan!

Erika T.

Yelp
We've been living around the corner from this place for years and finally today gave it a try. We ordered: Chicken Shawarma Fries Fattoush Salad Hummus Garlic Sauce Kafta Kabob Wrap Chicken Shawarma Wrap Crispy Chicken Shawarma Wrap Bei Rolls There were three adults and 3 children eating. There is nothing we didn't love. And the Bei Rolls? I can't even describe them but they were everyone's FAVORITE. So flippin' uniquely delicious. Excuse my lame pictures, I forgot to take pictures until everyone started eating. I'm telling you, it's rare that EVERYONE in the house likes EVERYTHING unless it's pizza. So this was a feat. We will be regulars from now on.

Sherron M.

Yelp
Pass by this gem on a daily. If it wasn't for google reviews and a late night craving I'll still be missing out. Placed a carry out and Tried the the chicken shawarma fries per recommendation of the staff. Delicious! An overwhelming amount of crispy fries and plenty of juicy chicken. I'm not sure if I'm a fan of the sauce but it did work for this dish. I would definitely order this again but share it, was only able to eat less than half of it. I'll be back to try more of the menu.

Carlos O.

Yelp
Used to be one of my favorites. Quality has gone down. Music Loud when u walk in and food is not consistant. A shame cause mexican /arabic fusion is a good concept

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Food is excellent! Chicken schwarma (sp?) nachos are delicious, hummus is fantastic, staff and owner always make sure everything is right and are fantastic to the customers!

Amy T.

Yelp
Food is pretty solid here! They have a lot of variety in their menu so there's something for everyone. I got the fatoush salad but forgot to add grilled chicken and the owner/cook was so nice!!! He just added it for free. Really appreciated the customer service and I think this restaurant definitely deserves the five star review. Order was prepared in a timely manner and they are following all social distancing protocols. My friends got the BBQ chicken wrap, beirock chicken wrap, tour de Lebanon, and Cajun fries. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. Here's a picture for y'all to see! Try them out! Their customer service alone is worth it - they'll take care of you.

Wendy P.

Yelp
First of all the food here is good. But over the last few years, the portions have gone from decent to ridiculous. The vegetarian grape leaves were a dollar apiece, and this itty-bitty salad was over five dollars. I also ordered a bowl of lentil soup, which was supposed to come with pita according the the menu, and it did not.

Melvin F.

Yelp
I love this place! The food is amazing! I mainly get the oregano chicken, if my wife is in the area and she knows that I didn't eat yet, she would buy this for me. I have had their chicken shawarma's which are great and my wife loves the zucchini fries. The last time we went, we decided to try the smoothies and they were really good! This place hasn't failed me yet LOL!

Jae R.

Yelp
Tried to order chicken shawarma on a few occasions, the chicken was burned. A little char is great but I prefer to not eat charcoal. Two years ago this place was my go to but now they have become a place to avoid

Leslie E.

Yelp
We ordered take out through Grubhub. Grape leaves were delicious, the chicken shawarma and humus appetizer was very large and delicious. The picture on the restaurant's Grubhub site had sauce the shawarma but none was on our order and it would have benefited from it. We also ordered the falafel dinner with a side of hummus. We did not get the side of hummus and beware, the falafel were extremely dark (over fried???) and were SPICY!!!!! My family member who ordered them can not eat spicy food so they only ate the rice. FYI: the rice portion was about four cups. The pickles were good. Overall the food was good but the menu should state that the falafel is spicy and my suggestion is reduce that amount of rice. Also my Grubhub order stated I needed utensils and none were provided.

Dee D.

Yelp
The Beirock Sandwich is amazing. It's a special sandwich they offer on the menu with a special sauce. Wow. I'll definitely be back for the sandwich. The tabbouli I was not so fond of. Very clean place and the staff were very friendly. The chicken Fattoush here is probably one of the best salads I ever had. It was so refreshing and tasty. I love that they include different types of peppers inside and radish. True Lebanese salad. The chicken was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The garlic sauce is also amazing. This will definitely be my lunch spot from now on.

Hanan Hafeez H.

Yelp
I was amazed by the quality of the food. Went here yesterday, they had so many online orders from the area. Underrated in the area I live in! The place is small but love the setup inside. Family friendly. Variety of food And absolutely DELICIOUS. Loved. Need to advertise more in other communities!

Patrea S.

Yelp
Love their food! Flavors are amazing. I usually go for the wraps since they're easy. But I've also tried their salads, chicken wings, and chicken shawarma plate; they were all good! I think I order from here at least once every time I'm in the area. Excellent customer service.

Cris M.

Yelp
We ordered grape leaves, shawarma, and lamb chops to be delivered at work... unfortunately they called and said they were out of lamb chops so I had to substitute kabobs... the lady was very sorry and accomodating about that. The food is deeeelicious! Flavors are right on point. The vegetarian grape leaves are probably the best I've ever had! The highlight of my usual Mediterranean meal is usually the garlic sauce, which is usually pungent and super garlicky, this one is more lemon-y and I barely got the garlic taste. I was a bit disappointed... I was really looking forward to the garlic breath! Half a point off for the garlic sauce... half off because 1 mini-salad was packed with the kabob dinner... dressing leaked from the foam.... and cold salad should never go in with hot food. Delivery was early and Covid compliant!

Christine H.

Yelp
So much flavor! We ordered the crispy tender shawarm. The chicken was super crispy and moist. The pickles and garlic sauce added to it too. I ordered a cup of the garlic sauce because I like to dip my pita in it. It's priced well too- $2.89. Lastly, the hummus was some the best hummus I have had in a long time. I will absolutely go back.

Sam E.

Yelp
I came in here around 5 pm to break my 20 hour fast after getting stuck in the depths of hell that is the Southfield Freeway. I wasn't hungry in particular but knew I ought to take advantage of the local cuisine. I was already a bit fed up after dealing with the your typical selfish attitudes that are prevalent in the smug IT "experts" at my office. Let me tell you. This place is a gem. Quick in quick out, great service and high quality Shawarma. High quality staff and clean environment. I'm not in Garden City often but I have no doubt I would be there on a weekly basis if I lived nearby.

Matt F.

Yelp
This was a case of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly... The Good? Friendly (but slow) service and generous portion sizes. The wraps come in 2 sizes. The regular size for those of you with Trump sized hands and the large sized for NBA players. Regular sized humans should share a large one. The Bad? Shwarma that falls somewhere between basic and bland. I also wasn't a fan of the pickles on my shawarma wrap. I like them spicy and crisp. These were somewhat sad and soggy. The pita itself was grilled nicely, however, which helped them out of (soggy) "pickle". The Bad? I found the restaurant less than clean. Maybe this was a busy Saturday for them, I don't know. It wasn't busy when we were there. It's more likely the result of only 2 people on staff. Either way, it's a bummer.

Cat A.

Yelp
Always a great meal. Generous helpings as well as great staff. Have never been disappointed.

Jamie C.

Yelp
Amazing food ! Our family loves Beirock ! We order meal preps every week and often get carry out on top of that. The food is always fresh and the prices are great .

Marie D.

Yelp
The food was really good. Customer service was great. I had a lot of questions regarding the menu and they answered all of them without me feeling rushed. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and rice melted like butter in my mouth. Overall great experience. I will definitely be back

Linda S.

Yelp
The grape leaves were underwhelming. Barely filled with any rice, just filled with more chopped up grape leaves. My sub was fine, but had the butt end of the lettuce in it My smoothie was really great though!

Manda J.

Yelp
The service is great and the food is delicious. The garlic paste is exactly as it should be and potent! Tries the chicken shwarma and lemon garlic chicken, rice, salad, and hummus. All really good. Oh, and a mango smoothie-that was great!!

Kevin K.

Yelp
Another awesome meal at Beirock Wraps! Where else can you go for such an awesome meal where the Owner actually cooks for you? Very Fresh, Very Fast. If you work in Dearborn along Ford or Michigan Ave you can certainly make it, enjoy a great, fresh lunch and back to work in under an hour.

Dawn C.

Yelp
I love this place, they have amazing food, great service and always so friendly!!! Thank you for being open during the quarantine.

Amanda M.

Yelp
Perfection! We just moved to the area the food is bomb! I catered food for 20 people and we had enough for 50! The food was ready on time it was hot and the presentation was lovely! It was for my step daughters 13th birthday! We had chicken shawarma, chicken skewers (mind blowing) with lemon oregano sauce, rice (best rice I've ever had my kids loved it), and fattoush salad with both ranch and traditional dressing. The chef makes his own dressings and all food from scratch and you can tell! The Ranch, nom! The hommous was my favorite! And of course some tabouli he gave us the pickles and radishes too! We will for sure be catering and carrying out with them for every other occasion so beyond pleased! They even made sure everything was safe for family with gluten allergies! Thank you for treating us more like family!

Katie H.

Yelp
Wow!!!! This place is AMAZING!! This was the best food I've had in a long, long time! Everything was fresh and delicious! I am beyond happy we discovered this little gem. I got the chicken fattoush salad which was hands down the best fattoush I've ever had. We also tried the lemon oregano chicken which will now be my go-to main dish!! It was insane! So good!

Mohamad F.

Yelp
Great spot located in Garden service. Staff is always friendly. Their chicken shawarma is really good. Ive also has their hummus with meats and it was great.I get a chicken fattoush salad for the wife as a carryout. Seasoned fries are great also. Super friendly and order is always ready in 10 minutes. Can't wait to explore the menu more. Keep up the great work.

Meloney J.

Yelp
Great ambiance, awesome hospitality, delicious food, and all choices are reasonably priced!! This was my 1st time visiting, for takeout, and I must say, this place was a great find!! Lots of menu options to choose from, knowledgeable expert chef present, and the area for dining seemed warm and inviting!! My fam and I are truly impressed... Looks like we found a new favorite spot for dine-in or takeout!! Looking forward to returning soon...

Andrea F.

Yelp
Amazing food with generous portions!!!!! Probably one of the best fattoush salads I've ever had, just chock full of veggies. We also ordered the Beirut for 2 and everything was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Smoothies were wonderful as well. Gonna go slip into a food coma now. Go order from this place!

Lauren W.

Yelp
Have to give this place another try. My bf and I tried a schwarma last time we were there , weren't very hungry so we just split one but it was very good! I'll have to give them another try and get a few more things. I also say a large chocolate hunk that they shaved chocolate from to make some sort of dessert wrap. Looked good!

Al P.

Yelp
What a great person we me today Eddie with over 50 years owner chef plating up authentic Lebanese meals , everything made in house. Open a year now they have a large following of regular customers. The very best I ever had in a restaurant Sojuk a spicy Armenian / Lebanese Sausage which he prides in making in house, all other places buy from meat market, , OK they good but no as great this kind man make. Eddie his wife and son run the daily operations, so beautiful inside. We had super flavorful moist Chicken Shawarma, Kafta, Lentil Soup all outstanding. Tried his Toum and Falafel OMG this man got old school skills. Platter for 2 outrageous delicious at a great price. Tried the Cocoa Shawarma so unique OMG a must. Can't wait to visit again, a must try, easy find in Kroger shopping center corner Ford and Middlebelt.

Kawthar A.

Yelp
Great Almond rice salad, great hummus, and also nice staff! My only complaint is for the amount of salad it definitely was on the pricier side, and it needed more rice.

Allison G.

Yelp
Delicious food and fast service. We love the shawarma wraps with fries. Will definitely be back!

Paul W.

Yelp
Solid 5 stars, I am definitely a fan. Not big on Mediterranean cuisine, but this place just hit the spot. My friend loves mideastern food and has been all over dearborn trying to find a 'spot'- he said this is it! 2 words - Garlic Paste. Garlic Paste, garlic paste, garlic paste. It is absolutely amazing. Made fresh every day, I could eat it all day. This stuff was addicting, I literally could not get enough of it. I dipped my wrap in it, and smothered my fries with it. Great balance between the bright, bitter spice of the garlic, the lemon zest in the paste, with a nice finish of sweet to dampen the bitter. I would buy this by the bucket and would exclusively come back for it. We dined in and ordered the Shwarma Chicken Wrap. For an appetizer I ordered Dolma. I had the option for warm or cold and there is just something about cold dolma that excites my nether regions. This dolma in particular is made fresh in house and you can tell. When our Shwarma wraps came, they were delicious. I was super impressed with the sauce they used for it. The chicken had a great lemony flavor that complimenting rather than domineering - you could taste the other seasonings they used. We ordered fries as a side and while my friend didn't enjoy them, I loved them. I knew those weren't house made but I was still happy. They have a 'Choco kabob' that apparently is unique to Europe with their establishment being the sole exception. Teddy, who appears to be the owner, told us they were out of the batter for the crepes they use for that dessert and said it would be weeks before it's available because it's shipped from Italy - that sounds a little suspect to me, but he let us try the chocolate shavings which were fantastic so that shut me up. We took home baklava, which was so delicious, and hummus to try later. I'll be eating that tonight. As I already said, huge fan. They have a big menu for such a small storefront but they also deliver and do carryout. I've read some of the other reviews on here, we seemed to catch them on a good day so I'll be back to try something else. The food is amazing and the service was just as great, Teddy really made us feel welcome. One thing that was a little offsetting, you can definitely tell this place is 'family-owned'. Mom , who was also our waitress, had a baby in the back she was caring for when she and grandma could. As we were leaving a small family reunion happened in the kitchen, they were happy to see Ali. I'm not too turned off by it, I actually admire the hard work they're putting into their business. It was just out of the ordinary for me, although I know in most middle eastern communities this is business as usual.

Tarah F.

Yelp
I get takout all the time from them they deliver, and its always fresh, and the quality is great!

L T.

Yelp
One of my favorite places for a shawarma! The staff is absolutely the best and super friendly! I even got my picky child to enjoy the kids chicken sandwich!

William D.

Yelp
Great staff, clean place awesome food really glad stopped in here. I've lived in Dearborn my whole life... I'm pretty particular to Middle Eastern food... This is a great restaurant, delicious food and some great twist on old favorites. I went in for a pickup and stayed to eat. I will be back with friends for sure!
