"Both Llanes and Argentinean empanada and pastry shop owner Belen De La Cruz have stalls at Chattahoochee Food Works in Atlanta. De la Cruz first opened her eponymous empanada shop in Johns Creek in 2020. She opened the Marietta location a year later, quickly followed by the food stall at Chattahoochee Food Works." - Beth McKibben

Google
A business that truly cares about it's customers and continues to serve mind-blowing empanadas and desserts. The first thing that catches the eye when we enter is the simple yet pleasing decor. Their shelves are stocked with an array of goodies and lip-smacking desserts that make you drool. My favorites are their Chocotorta and Spinach empanadas. Chocotorta was the perfect blend of richness and sweetness and the empanada was still warm with crunchy on the outside and cheesy and gooey on the inside. Service is fast and the parking spots are plenty. I'd love to visit this Argentinian bakery once again! Don't forget to try out their samples before buying.

Google
We’ve gotten both their Spinach and Caprese empanadas so many times at this point. Both are delicious, service is wonderful, and the location is adorable!

Google
This is a cute little place which is very well maintained. Its ambience is very minimalistic but is spot on. We ordered a tres leche cake here and it was too good and their empandas are freshly made and they have many meat and veg options. To top it all, their service is great.

Google
I actually saw this place on Fox5 news as a spotlight segment. So me and my daughter came about two weeks ago and the empanadas we're so delicious and very filling. They definitely didn't taste like the regular empanadas I'm used to having, these were way better and plenty of flavor. I love the fact that there are so many to choose from. The restaurant and atmosphere was very nice. Will definitely add this cute spot to my Favorites list💜😍💜😍

Google
See/taste the difference yourself, I have been in the US for 20+ years and this empanadas are one of the best.

Google
A great spot for the neighborhood. They’ve got some solid options. I tried the mushroom and cheese and I think chicken. It was made fresh and price was solid. They have some good desserts. Got the ricotta tart and tres leches. Pastry a little dry, but filling good portion.

Google
A very cute bakery with delicious food. My husband and I were very pleased with our experience. The cheese chicken empanada's were my favorite and the flan was pretty good too!

Google
Came here on a whim without any expectations and was blown away. The empanadas are so good and reminded me of the ones I had in Miami! I had the spinach and cheese and that one was my favorite. They made mine fresh for me and came out less than 5 minutes later hot and very fresh. Very reasonable prices and very clean and cute on the inside. The empanadas here are much better than the ones at La Buena Gente in Decatur.

Yelp
We have never been to the facility but enjoyed the empanadas during the basketball game for the national championship on Monday night. It was a great treat and we had the rest of them the following day. OK we will be back to enjoy them some more in the near future.

Yelp
It's not really a restaurant but 2 tables inside and 2 outside. It's the real authentic stuff. It took about 15 minutes to get our 6 empanadas. They were really good and I would drive out of my way to get some. Mushroom was a 10, squash was 8, a bit bland. Chicken with cheese was a 10, gooey cheese. Spinach was a 10, also plenty of cheese. Chicken was a 10, leeks and onions. Come for the food not the ambiance.

Yelp
I can't believe I actually never posted a review about this place because I've been here a plenty of times and I absolutely LOOOOVE everything!! They specialize in Argentinian empanadas and pastries. The empanadas are $3.50 each and I have tried many of their different flavors including their Ham and cheese, cheese beef, onion, corn, and bacon ones. They are all super delicious but my favorite flavor still is Ham and Cheese. They also have GF options! I love that each of their empanadas are stamped to distinguish what type they are. I also totally suggest ordering a side of their chimichurri which is just like an extra $1 but sooo worth it. I know they have different pastries yet I just keep ordering the alfajores. They're so good and if you like dulce de leche you'd love these! The store is beautiful. It's so clean and bright and all employees are so nice and welcoming! There's also plenty of parking. All in all this place is awesome and I wish they had more locations!

Yelp
Belen De La Cruz is located in the Chattahoochee Food Works Hall. I stopped by and grabbed two empanadas: the beef one and the spinach and cheese one! These were pretty good, but nothing to really write home about. It cured our empanada cravings, but would have loved a flakier dough.

Siva M.

Yelp
EMPANADAS the way I like. Beef and cheese is the best. It's a little place so don't be extra it's not lots of options

Adam F.

Yelp
The empanadas here just aren't very tasty to me. In my opinion they were slightly dry, with a mild flavor. Otherwise the store is very nice -- friendly service, nice clean space with tables, good looking decor.

Yelp
Round 2 only 2 days later...this time we brought my husband. Between the 3 of us we've had beef & cheese, chicken & cheese, caprese, corn, bacon & cheese, onion, mushroom, and ham & cheese all of them were delicious; we have nothing bad to say about any of them. The only thing I would mention is the onion: this may help you if you like the flavor of onion, but don't like to bite into them. My son and I both had one and neither of us had anything inside except cheese, but it had a definite flavor of nicely caramelized onions. Oh, and those coconut bites are ridiculously delightful! I haven't stopped thinking about them since the other day. This is the type of place I really hope makes it. I know I will be here often and I hope many others will as well.

Yelp
Belen De La Cruz is a great spot for a homemade empanada. They offer a variety of fresh made empanadas that take approximately 10-15 minutes to prepare: cheese and chicken, chicken, beef, vegetable and more. It was my first time visiting so I went with the 2 classics: beef and chicken empanadas with a drink and raspberry tart dessert for $10. The restaurant is mainly for takeout as there isn't much of an ambiance (music) or seating. Customer service is decent. I sat and wait and several patrons were coming in and out--popular spot. After about a 15 minute wait, I received my piping hot empanadas. The chicken was delicious with shredded chicken and vegetables sprinkled in. The beef was made with ground beef and was so oily that the empanada was falling apart while eating and the contents spilling out. The beef definitely needs to have less oil and grease.

Ozzie P.

Yelp
Amazing empanadas made with fresh ingredients and more importantly, authenticity made the true Argentine way. Will always come back each time we visit.

Shirley A.

Yelp
We had one of their empanadas at the food and wine festival yesterday and wow! The spinach one was amazing. Crust was so flaky and filling was delicious! I'm so happy to find that they are in John's creek which isn't too far from us.

Yelp
Belen has been on my list to try out for a while. After seeing them pop up on Yelp, I wanted to try out the scrumptious empanadas. My love with empanadas stem from my visit to San Francisco and having it on the pier, so when I heard an empanada spot opened I had to try it out. Getting there was a bit of a drive, but it wasn't too bad. The storefront I thought was very cute and very minimalistic, neat, modern. The person behind the counter was very helpful as I ordered my order online. Got there, checked in, and got my free cookie! Ordering online was pretty easy. One thing that you do have to watch out for is that if you order a dozen, you get a discount but you have to note it as an option. They'll credit that money back to you after several days. That was probably the most confusing part about ordering online. Otherwise, everything was pretty smooth. My options were pretty simple, beef and cheese and beef. I also had nibbles of the bacon and cheese along with the caprese empanada. I thought it was okay. I wouldn't say it's the best that I've ever had, but I would say that the creativity along with how the empanada was presented was adorable. I think I would definitely try this place out again, but pick different flavors. The beef and cheese along with the beef was pretty simple as far as taste profile. Dare I say it was kind of like a hot pocket? Not saying that it's bad, it was good. I think next time around I'll choose different empanadas. Empanadas are simple. They're pockets of food and meat. I can say that it took me about 4 to get full, so unless you are doing it for just a snack I would say to order a bit more than usual. Plus, they reheat great.

Yelp
Amazing everytime we go in! Highly recommend chicken and cheese it is fantastic! It is a favorite in my house!

Yelp
I'd have to give this place 3 stars. Nestled off Jones Bridge in John Creek and seeing all the beautiful Instagram posts in their empanadas, I was in the area and stopped in. At first we had to circle the area twice as the store front lights were not on, it was dark, and we could not see where the store was. GPS had us going in circles. The store front lights were on by the time we left. Initially the place was cute and farmhouse vibe, but the service was cold and the place lacked any personality. When we entered the shop around 6pm on a Tuesday, there was no greeting or smile. Just a girl behind the register looking at us and waiting for us to order. After she took our order, she just resumed to her phone. The menu is on a small chalk board to the left of the register and their bakery items was just in the single handfuls. I had a coupon from checking in and used it on a Dulce de Leche cookie. We ordered the beef, beef and cheese, chicken and chicken and cheese empanadas. We had to wait almost 10-15 minutes for our food. Sitting around with kids and no music in the shop while we waited kinda stinks. Upon receiving our order I saw that some of the empanadas were not all the way cooked - I make empanadas on the side for friends and family and seeing a raw piece of the dough was concerning. We got home and ate the empanadas about 45 min later and they were still warm. However, they were not the best tasting I've had. There was an odd sour taste, which I wasn't sure where it came from. The empanadas are cute as they are branded with their filling on the dough, but other then that, we didn't love the food and probably will not be back. Not sure if these are baked or fried.. but they weren't the best.

Yelp
Swung by yesterday around 1:30 to pick up some sort of pastry to go. I've been stalking there Instagram and everything looks amazing so I knew I had to come by. They had quite a few choices ranging from cheesecake bites to dulce de leche cookie bites to cookie bars and brownies. I settled on the chocotorta because it sounded unique and so tasty. It was a bit pricey - $5 for a square. It took a minute for them to bring it out - they got it out of the freezer it seemed because it was hard as a rock when they gave it to me lol. But that was ok because I was taking it to go to eat later anyways. Oh my this was a little slice of chocolate heaven! Layers of dulce de leche between chocolate cookie cake - this was divine! A great little shop! They also have empanadas that looked amazing. Will have to stop by again to try those out as well!

Paula N.

Yelp
I see this place all the time on Instagram and was so excited to finally check it out! They have a variety of empanadas and even desserts and pastries. I ordered 4 flavors - chicken, cheesy chicken, beef and cheesy beef. They smelled so great in the car when I was driving home and I was pretty much salivating by the time I preheated the oven! It's recommended to preheat the oven at 450 for 15 minutes then bake the empanadas for 3-5 minutes. I tried the beef and chicken one first. My absolute favorite is the chicken one! All the empanadas were delicious and perfectly seasoned. These were all homemade and it tasted super fresh! My boyfriend loved the beef ones and the cheesy chicken empanadas. I'm so glad we got to try out some of their flavors. We can't wait to return and purchase more empanadas!

Elham Y.

Yelp
I was encouraged to pay a visit to the place after reading the good reviews about it. I don't and will never regret. The place, service, the tasty empanadas and sweets, everything was perfectly organized. I highly recommend that place and thank you to the good management. Best of luck!

Lauren O.

Yelp
This place was great. The empanadas are super reasonable in price and delicious. I had the chicken and cheese one, which was amazing and I'd definitely get again. I also tried the double cheese one, but I'd try something different next time for more flavor. The baked goods also looked great and I can't wait to go back and try more. It takes about 15 minutes for the empanada to be ready so it seemed like some people were calling ahead so tbeg were ready when they arrived.

Christine K.

Yelp
Hidden gem in a small strip. I was introduced to this place by my daughter. This place is small, nice, neat and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We waited a while for our order to come out but it was worthy. The empanadas came out hot fresh out of the oven. The coconut pastry was also delicious. I like this place and will definitely be back. Please give it a try when you're in the area.

Yelp
I've heard great things about Belén De La Cruz, so I decided to try them out for First Taste Friday. I wish I had stopped by sooner! Belén specializes in authentic Argentinian empanadas and pastries, and have only been opened for 6 months. I stopped by for a late lunch. Parking was a breeze. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. Bright and welcoming, too. It's not huge, but they've maximized the space to allow plenty of seating. I was immediately greeted by Belén herself! She is so wonderful. She gave me brief rundown on their menu and offerings. They offer 10 different types of empanadas from meaty to cheesy to veggie. I chose three of the veggie options: caprese, spinach, and onion for $3.20 each. The empanadas are made to order and were ready in under ten minutes. They were incredible! They were flavorful and filling! I couldn't eat them fast enough. I devoured all three in one sitting. I ordered 4 more to share with my family, who also enjoyed them! The pastries look divine, but I didn't indulge this time. However, I will definitely be back soon to try them and other empanada flavors!

Devon P.

Yelp
Great tasting empanadas , I would most definitely recommend to any and everyone! I don't eat meat so the Spinach and mushroom was great

Nicholas T.

Yelp
Don't stop here if you're in a hurry. Don't believe them when they say your order will be ready in 12 minutes. Because even asked him at 20 minutes they'll say it's going to be another 4 minutes. If the 4 minutes goes by and you're asking if it's going to be ready soon I'll tell you in another 5 minutes. So the food is good but don't expect to be served too quickly. I don't know what they do to these empanadas but even they think 12 minutes is enough. They just can't meet the requirement of 12 minutes that they promise you.

Leigh B.

Yelp
Super clean restaurant! The young lady taking our order described items in detail and obviously cares about people. I love the flavour of the dough and the chicken was flavoured through and through! The butternut squash was amazing and the flavor wia tad of sweet. I like that this was not deep fried. Thank you!

Earl S.

Yelp
I stopped in to this quaint establishing just after getting a massage next door. I purchased some authentic Argentinian pastries. They were so delicious. I also purchased a delicious, hot latte to wash them down with for breakfast. The attendants were very kind, welcoming, and quickly took care of my order. I love the bright decor of the place. It is so welcoming and charming, and parking is ample in the shopping center lot. It was great. I highly recommend them.

Joanne H.

Yelp
The empanadas here are delicious. My favorites are the cheesy beef and cheesy chicken. Also, I have ordered several cakes from here and they are all amazing. The decor is gorgeous and the service is great.

Richard R.

Yelp
I made an unusual mistake that I've never made in all my years of yelping! Today was the end of Elite week, where Elite yelpers were offered 2 free empanadas of choice from Belen De La Cruz. I signed up for the offer, but didn't pay close attention to the address. In my defense, when I typed the business name into the Yelp search, no other locations showed, so I didn't give it another thought. Unfortunately for me, the offer was only at the Marietta location, which was 45 minutes from this location... which in turn was already 50 minutes from my home! Bummed by the news I decided driving nearly 3 hours round trip was too much for two free empanadas. So to make the best of it, I purchased the $12 Lunch Deal which included three empanadas, a drink and dessert. I chose Cheesy Beefy, Chicken Cheese and the Mushroom based on a recommendation from a customer I met while waiting. I also purchased a second 3 empanada lunch deal for my wife since the selection of meatless empanadas was so awesome and I knew she would enjoy them. *** [ THE DETAILS ] Date & time: Friday, April 16th, 2021 @ 1:30pm Time it took to receive order : 20 minutes Business level : medium What to expect : ADORABLE shiplap farmhouse interior with a few retail items for sale like jewelry and cups. Parking: tight - shared with multiple businesses Restrictive COVID-19 safety measures : YES *Servers and hostess staff all wore masks *floor signs encouraging social distance *Tables were socially-spaced Service: Efficient (B) Server: cashier Outdoor patio : YES (limited) Ambiance : Great for conversation Dress : casual Health Score : 100 (A) *** [ THE FOOD ] All the empanadas I tried were deliciousness wrapped in a flaky golden crust, but the Cheesy Beef was lukewarm in comparison to the others. NOTE: Be careful with the mushroom empanada. It was far juicier than the others and piping hot! My favorites in order were as follows: 1) CAPRESE (tomato + basil + mozzarella) Hands down the most delicious & flavorful (5++ stars) 2) CORN (corn + onions+ mozzarella + basil + white sauce) A very very close second to the Caprese (5+ stars) 3) CHICKEN CHEESE (White Meat Chicken+ Caramelized Onions + Colby Jack Cheese) Delicious! Better than the beef (5 stars) 4) MUSHROOM (Mushroom + Onion+ Mozzarella) Warning: very juicy and HOT (5 stars) 5) CHEESY BEEF (Angus Ground Beef, Onions , Bell Peppers, Colby Jack Cheese) Good flavor (4.5 stars) 6) SPINACH (Spinach + Mushrooms + Onions + Mozzarella) Good, but my least favorite so far (4 stars) I selected the Raspberry Almond Square as my dessert with the first lunch deal and the Coconut Dulce De Leche for the second. Basically the first tasted like a cross between a raspberry and a Girl Scout Shortbread Cookie. Good, but not my typical kind of pastry (3.5 stars). The Coconut Dulce De Leche on the other hand was incredibly tasty (5+ stars). *** [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] Although I went to the wrong location and missed the Elite Week sampler, I was grateful to have discovered this little gem. It was undoubtedly a smash hit with my wife. She loved the dessert selections and empanadas! Her favorite was the corn, but wants to return soon to try the other meatless empanadas such as: - BUTTERNUT (squash + mozzarella + onions) - TWO CHEESE (mozzarella + monterey jack) - ONION (caramelized onions + mozzarella) Other meat empanadas include: - BEEF (Angus+ green & red peppers + onions) - Chicken (White meat + leeks+ onions + green onions) - HAM & CHEESE (mozzarella + ham) - BACON (mozzarella + bacon) All empanadas are currently $3.20 each or $35 per dozen! ENJOY!!! 2021 / 55

Yelp
This cute cafe is tucked away in a strip in Johns Creek. I wanted a small snack and found that this place had just opened. I ordered the combo with 3 empanadas, a pastry and drink for $12 (great deal considering one empanada is $3.50). I decided to try the beef, ham and cheese and spinach. For the pastries, they offer small brownies, cookies and more. I chose the dolce de leche cookies. They have cans of Coca-Cola products or Dasani bottled water for drinks. The employees were so nice and gave recommendations on what to try. I ate the spinach empanada and loved it. The crust was flakey and light and there was plenty of hot and delicious filling inside. I brought the beef and the ham and cheese empanadas home for family (still warm after the 25 min drive!). These Argentinian empanadas are amazing, I can't wait to get more!!

antonio d.

Yelp
I was there today for the first time and the empanadas and the place were Amazing Highly recommend place with fine taste. Estuve hoy por primera vez en belen de la cruz y las empanadas y el lugar estuvieron increibles. Altamente recomendado si estas buscando un lugar con buen gusto.

Diana T.

Yelp
Wow just FANTASTIC! These reviews do not lie! After seeing CM's Gretel review on this place, I knew I had to check it out. I am so glad I did. I ordered the beef, chicken, chicken with cheese, spinach, Caprese, and bacon. My favorite is the beef!! I love how crispy the outside layer is with the juiciness of the meat! My second favorite would be spinach. I add some Chula with the beef empanadas and it tastes heavenly. The best part is you can also order them frozen. I did bake them at home and the taste is the same!

Vivi S.

Yelp
The beast empanadas I've ever had. Desserts are amazing. Give them a try, can't go wrong with anything there!

Vanessa N.

Yelp
Food: We got a good number of empanadas, but since I don't like onions, I could only try the bacon and the caprese. Out of the two, the caprese reigned supreme. It was quite refreshing. With the bacon, you should expect the grease that comes with it. Printing the name of the empanadas on the shell was a pretty good idea. I kinda like my empanadas crunchy (sorry if that is not the way it should be eaten), so reheating it in the air fryer the next day almost gave it a better eating experience. Store: I love the decorations and design of the store.

Gail E.

Yelp
I love this shop! I have tried almost every flavor of empanada but the beef and cheese and corn are my favorite. I drive out of my way to buy from here. You will not be disappointed.

Kinjal S.

Yelp
My friends raved about this place and I was in the area so I decided to check it out. I got the corn, onion and caprese. I liked the caprese the most. It was tangy and salty but not overly. Had to eat it first or else it'd get soggy. I had the corn one next. It was okay. It lacked some spice. The onion one was good too. I ate that one when I got home and used some jalapeño sauce i had which really elevated it. Overall, I enjoyed them. They're delicious but they were missing something. I would only wish for sauces to go with them. I will try some of their other vegetarian ones next time. I used the check in offer and got the brownie. It was pretty sweet.

Rosana J.

Yelp
Great pastries and cookies ! Will be back! They offer everything fresh to order. I ordered online loved !

Yesenia B.

Yelp
Nice clean store with ample parking in front. I had attended Belen's virtual class a couple of months ago and was eager to try her empanadas. Her store is beautifully decorated. I wish I had experienced the same friendliness that came through during her virtual class. The empanadas were flavorful and filling. I tried the beef, chicken empanadas and the alfajores. The alfajores were amazing and the chicken empanada was my favorite.

Shivu P.

Yelp
This place is simple and sweet. The empanadas speak for themselves! Parking: There is plenty of parking up front Ambiance: This place is very clean and has a coffee shop type of vibe, its small and quaint, a great place to catch up with a friend while social distancing. I got the Caprese empanada which was to die for. It was so fresh and flavorful, the best part is that they were not greasy at all!

Tim V.

Yelp
Amazing is not enough.....great service, great food, great owner. A truly caring place. I am ordering again right now!!!

Vanessa A.

Yelp
I have tried 9 out their 13 available empanadas. And all of them were very good. My favorites were hands down the mushroom, caprese and the CHICKEN (no cheese). Whatever they did to that chicken mixture made my tastebuds jump up and down. I also tried the dulce de leche cookies and what can I add they were also brilliant.

Buffalo Alic E.

Yelp
Love, love LOVE Belen's place! The empanadas are delicious, with a great variety to choose from. They even have stamps branded into the side telling you which filling is waiting to burst out. ;) I recommend calling ahead to place your order. This place is popular and they are often dealing with a lot of delivery orders, pick-ups and whoever is dining in. It's worth the wait in my opinion so hopefully your patience too will be rewarded.

Krelin N.

Yelp
I am so glad I discovered this place. Each empanada tastes like it was made with love. Soft flaky indulgent lush vibes with each bite. The menu has something for everyone. I am always pleased when I see a speciality spot like this offer many vegetarian options. I tried these out at a Collaboration Night at The Creek at JC. My wife and I had the Spinach Squash and Caprese. These baked not fried empanadas are divine. Honestly I feel like I could eat these all day long. They really are flavor packed and truly warm your soul. Each empanada is labeled with a grill stamp as to its content. Cute presentation that packs a wonderful flavor profile that is still making me salivate. I cannot wait to go back.

Kisha M.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious. I'm still thinking about the empanadas three days later. I can't wait to go back. I definitely recommend calling ahead, but if not you only have to wait 15 min or so.

Nicki K.

Yelp
I learned about Belen De La Cruz from CM Gretel Y! She posted pics on IG and I couldn't take my eyes off the cute empanadas. I loved the variety Belen De La Cruz has! My friend and I ate tasty empanadas the prior week and we just wanted more! The IG pics are worth coming for! Then you go the great Yelp reviews that confirmed why you should come! Belen De La Cruz is located in Johns Creek off Jones Bridge Road close to the Abbots Bridge Road/Kimball Bridge Road intersection in a small plaza. I ordered each and every one of the different empanada flavors but order an extra one of two of them to equal 12 for the dozen for $35 Beef - 2x Cheese Beef Chicken Chicken Cheese - 2x Ham & Cheese Spinach Butternut Squash Caprese Two Cheese Onion Get this. Each and every one of the empanadas were stamped to distinguish what type it is. I no longer eat meats but my friend who came with me tried each and every one of them! She says Beef is her absolute favorite one followed by onion. Mine is Onion, followed by Butternut Squash. We both were very impressed with the Butternut Squash. That one blew our minds!!! It was her third favorite. My third favorite is Caprese. My friend and I couldn't stop talking about how delicious the empanadas are!! They were baked but the empanadas were packed and full of flavor and juices. So moist!! We also got two pastries to try cause why not? We got Dulce De Leche cream cheese and regular brownie. We both took a bite of each and was so amazed how delicious they were! They were not overly sweet either. The brownie is so fudgey and delicious. My friend is a brownie fan and says it's the best brownie she's ever tasted!!! She even ordered two more to eat later. She ordered another plain one and one with meringue on top. We will definitely come back! I saw on IG that you can buy them frozen too! Yes! 64/2020

Yelp
The closest you can get to eating in Argentina OTP. Empanadas are cooked to order which makes for a soft flaky dough , made with great ingredients and it shows in the flavour. The kitchen as well as the dining room exudes cleanliness. I left my third visit already planning my way back.

Yelp
Awesome and unique work outing! We had a group of 14 take the empanada class with Belen. We learned a lot & made the yummiest empanadas. 10/10 recommend for your next event!

Yelp
Great place to pick up some empanadas. It's busy and the food is made to order so you have to wait a little while. I've had the beef as well as the chicken empanadas. The chicken empanadas have chicken, leeks, and scallions. The beef empanadas have beef, green and red peppers, and onions. I have tried empanadas from several regions and I don't remember ever having them with peppers. I love peppers so I was pretty satisfied with it. I prefer the chicken ones however and will go back and order more next time. The kids tried the bacon empanada as well as the caprese. They raved about both. We will make a return visit soon.

Yelp
Delicious empanadas. Wow. What a welcome change to the Johns Creek food scene! This shop specializes in Argentinian empanadas. They serve pastries as well. I have never tried Argentinian empanadas before, so I'm glad I got the opportunity to do so here. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they are doing curbside pickup. Just call to place your order and they will bring it out to your car in 15 minutes. There is a good variety of empanadas on the menu for $3.20 each: Beef, Cheesy Beef, Chicken, Ham & Cheese, Spinach, Caprese, Onion, 4-cheese, and Butternut Squash. They offer combos as well with drinks and a pastry, and you can get one dozen empanadas for $32. My coworker and I got beef and cheesy beef empanadas. They were piping hot when I picked them up and my god they smelled heavenly. As for the taste, SO FLAVORFUL and delicious. The flavor just hits you all at once. The empanadas were not oily either. But they are JUICY. For both empanadas it was almost like there was beef broth in it? Just a little bit. It kind of reminded me of a soup dumpling. I don't know how they did it but it was so good. Not dry at all. Just a bit messy though because some of the juices splash out when you take a bite, so have some napkins handy! The cheesy beef was very tasty and the cheese is not overwhelming. But I think I liked the beef empanada more because I enjoyed being able to taste more beef flavor, haha. We thought we would be full from two empanadas but we devoured them in less than 5 minutes and were still hungry for more. We considered buying something else to fill us up for lunch but the empanadas were so flavorful it just seemed like everything else would pale in comparison. So we went back and got some more, lol. I'd say 3-4 empanadas should be filling enough. Maybe more if you typically have a bigger appetite or are really hungry. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
I came specifically for the gluten free empanadas, and they did not disappoint! The crusts were fantastic, the fillings were delicious, and the store itself is beautiful. The only downsides were that only two flavors were available in GF, I had to wait 25 minutes for my food, and none of the pastries are GF. But the food was delicious, and the service was kind so still deserving of all five stars. I can't wait to come back.

Yelp
After LOVING the food after the yelp elite event at their other location, I had to visit this location since it's apparently less than 10 minutes from my house?! How have I never been here before?! We got the Caprese and the chicken and cheese. Omg! I only had their plain chicken before, but adding the cheese was a game changer!! The decor of the place is really cute and simple, and staff was super friendly. I was surprised at how filling these empanadas are. Definitely will be eating here more often with friends and family.

Yelp
I spent a semester in Argentina studying. I ate a LOT of empanadas in four months. These are better than all the empanadas i ate in Argentina. My favorites are spinach, chicken and beef. The desserts are great. Try the alfajores.
