Bella Mama Rose

We have experienced catering from Bella Mama Rose and a pizza party at the restaurant. The catering was for a tailgate during our football game, the sandwiches and salad were a hit. I’m picky about my chicken, usually when you order sandwiches the chicken ends up being dried out and on the tough side, these sandwiches were amazing. The chicken was just right, not cut too thin and didn’t dry out. I would say it was made fresh before the delivery and not preheated. We hosted our team pizza party on a Saturday at the restaurant, we had one of their private spaces and had 50 people. The food did not disappoint, the salad was delicious, rice balls, bread sticks and fried calamari were a hit and the pizza was perfect for our group. I failed to take photos of the food but trust me, worth it! They even had our team logo on the screen for us and provided a speaker so we could have music in the room. This is a great place for a group outing. The staff was accommodating/attentive and kept the food coming. Full disclosure, Bella Mama Rose is sponsoring our football team this season and we like to give back to our sponsors by hosting our get togethers with them when we can. Thank you Justin and Ashely for your support and accommodating our group even with 20 kids who play tackle football. We’ll definitely plan another date.

My brother gave me a gift card for my birthday back in September so my hubby and I decided to go this past Sunday . We were greeted and welcomed with professionalism and friendliness. As soon as we sat down the water and bread came Nick our waiter took our order he helped my hubby to make a good choice although I have a feeling every dish is scrumptious. The salads are huge and the dishes are equally huge we actually had dinner for the next day The restaurant was quaint and comfortable . We will be going back again for sure . Thank you for a wonderful Sunday . And thank you Nick for paying attention to us .

After living here so long not too far from here.. I never knew this place existed.. even though we went as a family and friends gathering for music bingo.. the food was delicious and the service was great.. I'm giving it four stars instead of five only because there is no parking.. but other than that the food was delicious and the service was great.. I would definitely be coming for dinner here again

We had an awesome time celebrating my friend's birthday this past Sunday!! Bella Mama Rose restaurant is now 1 of my best places to go to eat. The food, the atmosphere, the service, and the people there are " PHENOMENAL "!! I will recommend this restaurant to any and everyone I know. The New Bella Mama is great. Food and service are out of this world. Great menu and concept A must try is the grilled pizza, especially the arugula and capers. The cutlets are huge and tasty. Not one complaint. It is a must try you will definitely go back

We went after finding out there were new owners and so glad we did. Great and I mean great chicken cutlet parmigiana. Owner came to the table. Server was great. Our new spot for sure

This party was both a social gathering of my gym buddies from South Beach CrossFit and also rolled in with my bday 🥳🎉 Out of three restaurants I contacted, Bella Mama Rose was the most responsive (I prefer to message via email or instagram). I never had their food before the party, but visited beforehand to check out the space. They provided me with different party menu options, and we chose the Pizza Party with open bar. This came with a choice of 4 apps and 3 pizzas. Party size: 26 Total Party time: 3 hours Apps: Eggplant rollatini, fried calamari, Caesar salad, rice balls Pizzas: Margherita, pepperoni, meatball. Extra touch: they had the logo of our gym in the TV screen! That was so nice! I appreciated their flexibility- I had very last minute additions to the group, and surprises the night of! Surprises/extra party members may not be a big deal to some, but a restaurant needs to be prepared due to staffing and food prep. We had about 3-4 servers, two floaters (including the owner), and one bartender (she was fantastic and quick!). Everyone was so incredibly kind and pleasant. The food: The crew enjoyed everything. I tend to be picky with salads (I don’t like salad dressing) but their Caesar salad was solid! The fried calamari was crispy and not oily or soggy like some places. I also ate my fair share of pizza and wish I had some to take home, but my amigos beat me to it and I’m glad bc it means they had fun! My friend bought a sheet cake from Moretti’s and he was able to drop it off a few hours before the party. My favorite party/birthday party I’ve had to date. I tried to take as many good pictures as I can… but you know, that open bar package! 🥳🤣 My immense gratitude to everyone that worked the party, we really appreciated the staff! This place is outstanding! 2 weeks ago I hosted my birthday party in the private room of the restaurant. The food and the service was absolutely incredible. Planning the party was a simple and fun process. Usually I'm anxious hosting such a big party, w/over 30 people. However, the staff and Justin made me feel at home and excited to celebrate. All of my guests had a great time and I was not stressed at all. The sangria was phenomenal and I was able to bring my own cake. The music sounded great as I used their speaker and I even had a Tarot Card reader who was able to have her own section and was comfortable. It truly was a wonderful experience. I would have another party here again as well as recommending the restaurant to anyone and everyone.

If you're looking for amazing Italian food with an incredible family atmosphere, then Bella Mama Rose is an absolute MUST! By far the absolute Best Mushroom Pizza I have ever tatsed and I cannot wait to go back over and over until I try everything on the menu...its rare to find such great customer service but you will find it here!

Went to celebrate my relative's birthday and I was amazed by the calm ambiance and the great tasting food. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful and kept the event going smoothly. I will say the appetizers were top notch and they are very filling. The apps could have been meals themselves. The dinner was buffet style with a fantastic salad, homemade dressing, penne, chicken parm, fish and other good entrees that slip my mind but were of excellent quality and taste. Dessert served which was chocolate cake and yellow cake were delicious and not overly sweet. Great coffee too. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and I will say it is definitely worth a visit for an excellent Italian meal.

I will give it another shot but it definitely was underwhelming. I don't know if it's the new management but the food just isn't the same. The chicken was not for me. At all. Over salted. Sauce was ok. This is a very Italian American spot. It just doesn't feel authentic like it used to. Service was average. There are far too many places to eat on SI so maybe I'll go back when they work out the kinks.

Food was ok at best but the service was a mess. Perhaps they were short staffed when I went but I won't be dining there again.

Chef's kiss! I had such a great meal -- ate the best chicken parmigiana and penne I have had on the (staten) island. I already want to go back. Have you tried it? If not and are seeking yummy Italian dishes, stop by for a good dinner spread. This place is perfect for casual meetups or family gatherings.

2.5 Stars Here is my balanced impression. The staff was very friendly. Basket of bread was small. Zuppe di mussels - mussels were not fresh. Grilled Cod with rice was good but salty. The chicken cutlet parmigiana was terrible The chicken was stiff and tough although the sauce was good. Staff did not refill water automatically.

The veal parmigiana in spicy vodka is insane. Highly recommend. The ricotta gnocchi was delicious, tried the clam pie too, and pasta Fagioli. All amazing

I haven't been to the restaurant in ages, however, I saw their instagram and the pizzas they were making so I decided to order for takeout. We got the traditional grandma pie and the rice ball salad. The pizza sauce was delicious and the pie was crispy and thin. The salad was really good and the rice balls complimented the salad nicely. They were fresh and tasted like a little Italian grandma was in the back making them :) Everything was so delicious and fresh, I imagine in the restaurant it would be outstanding. Definitely heading in soon to try some other dishes out.

Solid delivery experience from Bella Mama Rose. Everything was packaged neatly, no runs no errors no drips. Ricotta white pie was outstanding, garlic, olive oil, high quality mozzarella and ricotta....highly recommended Fried shrimp, solid portion with a good marinara sauce to dip Chicken Parmigiana sandwich, very good. Comes with a choice of salad or fries We will order again....one strike against them and the reason for the star deduction....one item was forgotten

From the moment I walked in, the aroma of sauces, breads and wine, I felt like I was in an italian spot in the 90s. The inside is very cultural, and decorated beautifully, with a lot of care for detail in the design. We were looking to decide on an appetizer, and met with fresh baked bread, and a delicious bruscetta served on croustini. My wife started with red sangria and I wanted wine with my steak, but one sip of hers, and I ordered one of my own. Regardless of the complimentary plates we were presented, we were suggested the meatball appetizer as one of the specials. We were lied to. The waitress told us it would be the size of a baseball, it was more like a small volleyball, huge! Served over a pasta weve yet to discover the name for, we had to come up with a way to approach it! Eventually, we went right down the middle, hot steamy cheese pouring out, meeting sauce. The meatball itself remained very tender and flavorful, and believe it or not this wasnt the end of the meal. I had the Ribeye, a nice go to for a new restaurant, while also trying my wifes shrimp fra diavolo. The steak came with mushrooms and onions in olive oil that I needed on everything, my steak, potatoes, veggies all over. Cooked medium like I asked, and well seasoned. The winner here however was the fra diavolo, epic. Mountain of mussels, shrimp, clams, sitting over pasta and this smoky spicy red sauce. The italian experience here is real, and its for everyone. Highly recommend. Very generous portions and delicious food. The atmosphere is very family friendly. Workers are very attentive and ask multiple times if anything is needed.

Excellent pizza great on delivery. Nice people too. Which they were Closer. A must try Italian Restaurant. Truly one of the best in Staten Island and I will go further to say in New York City.

The food is good but the lady at the bar is brain dead. Sat for over one hour waiting for 1 pizza and order of calamari. She forgot to put the order in and kept vanishing for 10 minutes at a time. Sadly, others I know have had similar experiences there within the last few months. Place has gone downhill !

I just came here to celebrate my aunt's 50th birthday and it was such a nice time. The area we were seated in was classy with elegant touches in the decor. The food and service were the best part though. The food came out very fast and the quality and quantities were even better. The pizza is comparable to any fancy italian place in manhattan. The chicken wings were juicy, tender, and crunchy. The stuffed chicken marsala with cheese and ham was also delicious and filling. It was a cross between chicken cordon bleu and chicken marsala. The servers were very accommodating and friendly-- always checking up on us and making sure all our food was delivered. This was definitely a perfect fit for the occasion

The Best veal on Staten Island melts in your mouth , The food is great , pizza is great .. tried a new pizza vodka pie with chicken cutlet excellent . the appetizers are excellent , The stuff meatball is delicious , feels like I'm eating my mom's cooking .. can order Family style I would recommend it to everybody

I used to love coming here but their service has gone way downhill. The last two times have been a disaster. I normally don't comment or make a review but this is ridiculous. Last time, I begged my family to meet me here for my birthday because I love their vodka sauce. One of the best on the island. Anyways, I ordered first and made it clear that I'm the birthday boy and the most important thing is the chicken Parm with vodka sauce instead of regular sauce. We ordered a bunch of other things and the chicken Parm comes out and no vodka sauce, it's just regular sauce. Not a problem, I wave down the waiter, she apologizes and said they will make a brand new one right away, dish comes back in about 5 minutes. I cut into and taste and somethings off, doesn't taste like the usual vodka sauce. I look under the cheese and it was the regular sauce, so they just poured vodka sauce over the dish they brought out already even thou she said they were making a fresh one. Manager took it off the bill and bought us dessert. Fast forward to tonight, begged my fiancée to come here ordered our food. An hour plus before we hit our eggplant appetizer. Waitress says she yelled at the kitchen after telling us multiple times it's coming right out. Finally comes out, it's cold, and I'm just pissed. My fork is filthy... this really upsets me. I look forward to coming here so much because the food is good! Smh

Bella Mama Rose is one of the finest Italian based restaurants on Staten Island. We started out with a charismatic waiter that lit up our table with energy. He was not only confident when presenting the nights specials but he also had extensive knowledge of the wines. We ordered 2 appetizers. The fried calamari and the stuffed meatball. The calamari was light and crispy. The stuffed meatball was the size of a softball and completely exceeded our expectations. Our entrees consisted of veal parmigiana, carbonara, and the vodka cavatelli pasta ( which was my personal favorite ). This vodka sauce was creamy, balanced, and went perfectly with the soft cavatelli pasta. Overall, one of the best meals I have had on Staten Island.

Probably one of the more underrated places on Staten Island. Nice menu. Really good pizza and very good entrees. Excellent cocktails. Service is very friendly and attentive. Very solid and consistent. A great choice.

Went to dinner with my sister (615 on a Friday) I have a coworker that loves this place. Service was great, food was good. The restaurant was consistently busy with diners and take out. I'm vegetarian so I always get eggplant parmesan. I thought the marinara sauce was on the sweet side but my sister liked it. I would go back to try a stuffed rigatoni that sounded good.

Very nice staff!!! Very inviting, they make you feel like family. Large portions and a pretty strong sangria. My parents had the calamari as an appetizer and I had the mozzarella sticks. Both pretty good. For my entire I had the chicken Parm, which was amazing. Pretty large portions and they have valet parking. You have to try the Italian Cheesecake.

Service, ambiance decor, all good... The food? I expected better. Seated right away, love the decor, waitress was loud but loved her, everything was on point... Except for the food. Don't get me wrong, the winner of the dinner was that giant, softball sized stuffed meatball: tender, meaty, cheesy saucy delicious ball of "molto bene", but the rest had a little bit to be desired. * Calamari: Tasted better cold * Sicilian Chicken: (Chicken Scarpariello with Cherry Peppers) Made right, this is an exciting, slightly spicy, zesty, delicious dance to your taste buds; this wasn't it. They overdosed it in hot cherry peppers making it too spicy, killing the really nice taste of the chicken. Shame, the chicken w/o anything on it was pretty good. * Grilled Salmon: Just that, nothing else. they put this 1/2 portion of dry salmon in front of me with no salt or pepper on it, I was pretty disgusted. I had a piece of grilled salmon at Randazzo's that would knock your socks off the day before and it was bigger and less expensive: Go there and learn how to make it or take it off your menu. - With a name like "Bella Momma Rose", I expected more. If i'm going to spend 15 dollars crossing the Verrazanno Bridge from Brooklyn... Make me happy about it please? I should have drank more Chianti. Sorry Momma... You got thrown under the bus (I hate doing that).

First time here. Staff excellent! Accommodating and kind. Went so far as to go to the neighboring store to ensure the juice my 3 year old requested was served. They were vigilant without being over bearing. All items were correctly made. Food Apps We ordered the shrimp special- wrapped in bacon with balsamic glaze and arugula. Wife and son loved it. I personally didn't like the glaze tasted like bbq to me. Baked clams were very good. 2nd best on the island. Pizza- my sons ordered a cheese pizza. It was excellent. Entrees The pork Milanese was perfect- would definitely order again. Wife order crab sauce- we felt like it was Christmas Eve. It was great. Will definitely be back.

This place is legit authentic Italian!!!! The ambiance, the service, THE FOOD!!!!! We accidentally stumbled upon it while in town picking up some goodies from a local bakery and OOOOOH EMMMM GEEEEEE!!!! The "home of the stuffed meatball" pulled us in (and DAMN, IT WAS GOOD)!!! And the best veal parm we've ever had will bring us back!!!!!! (So tender, you don't need a knife.) Thank you for the incredible service, wine, bread, and everrrrrrything! We'll definitely be back!

Went this past Tuesday! Was fun! My husband loves his salmon oreganata .. the baked clams made to our own personal too 5 New York City baked clam list! Pretty stAndard yet awesome chicken parm.. great staff! Will be back.. I have to have the stuffed meatball!!

CANNOT BELIEVE THE RUDENESS FROM THE OWNER!!! Had a wedding reception with pre-planned menu. Did not get what I was charged for and was told 'Yes you did' instead of her conferring with the servers to get clarification. She was very nasty and antagonistic. SO VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!

My chicken Parm was dry, my husband's salmon was served cold. When we tried to complain and bring it to the attention of the restaurant they caught an attitude. They started treating us very disrespectfully. The owner was very disrespectful and made a racist comment. I do not recommend this restaurant. They have to understand that the customer has the right to say something about how they want their food without being retaliated against. Then they had the nerve to overcharge us and refused to make it right.

We were in the mood for family style good Italian food, and here we are in Bella Mama Rose again :) We had stuffed Meatball for appetizer to share. The meatball was the size of a softball, but not only the portion is impressive, it was also very juicy and flavorful. Inside was stuffed with ricotta cheese,and enclosed in a crusty shell that soaked up the yummy sauce. We ordered the Seafood Fra Diavolo family style, and it is so delicious. The seafood was cooked perfect, and come with generous amount of sauce, which in my opinion is the best part :) Thank you Bella Mama Rose, you have yet gave me another good meal to enjoy with my family :)

So I walked over the Bayonne Bridge solo and scouted out an adorable Italian restaurant in Staten Island. I was exhausted and out of breath and had to pee! They welcomed me with open arms, pulled out a table in their parking lot to accommodate a table for one. I just had a fantastic shrimp, calamari salad and 2 glasses of savingnon blanc. I am in heaven ! The service is phenomenal and the owner walks around making sure everyone is happy! I am a happy gal and am now looking forward to walking back ( buzzed) . It was an amazing experience and I can't wait to come back!

Poor customer service, gave me wrong dinner, description of specials were unclear and they messed up our order and didn't even offer an apology or to fix the order, they told us it was made and paid for there was nothing they could do. Never again will I eat here. Average food and over priced as well. Did I say poor customer service??? Extremely poor I would give zero stars if I could.

Great food & the service is outstanding. You feel like family here. I always order the Malibu Bay Breeze and it's consistently great. I highly recommend this place!

A Staten Island gem! Family owned authentic Italian cuisine with an ambience and staff that makes you feel at home. Everything on the menu is good at Bella Mama Rose, try the mussels or seafood fra diavolo- my fav items on the menu!

Food is consistently good here and priced fairly. Service is fast and courteous. A solid go to place. Have been back numerous times and will be back.

This is probably one of my most favorite restaurants on Staten Island. When you eat there they make you feel like family. Staff has always been super friendly and a great place to bring kids. I visit the restaurant as often as I can and I always feel comfortable and food is delicious. They always have new specials and they are to die for. Anyone who like Burrata needs to try their deep fried Burrata with arugula salad with citrus dressing! OMG my mouth is watering thinking about it! 5 stars is not nearly enough stars for all my pleasant experiences at Bella Mama Rose!

Place is great.. it is a staple of Port Richmond and Elm Park... been here for over 30 years.. been coming here since my.teens... and never is a disappointment.. have to try the pork chops Siciliani... guarantee you will not finish it.. deelish....

I eat here all the time it's one of the best Italian restaurants on Staten Island . One of My favorite dishes is the stuff Bella mama chicken chicken Parmesan and the pizza is out of this world and the service is even better

Came in on a early Sarurday night around 6 with my family, walked in to a warm cozy bar area with a beautiful Christmas tree an decor all around. As soon as you walk in the older fellows at the bar all turn an stare it is pretty awkward but hey you belong there just as much as they do so stare right back. I walked to the host stand an right away I was greeted by a gentleman who was near the bar an he was really nice an friendly I feel bad I didn't catch his name. I never been here as I did come bc I was in the area an the Yelp review where decent so I figured I'd try it out. I breezed through the menu while my husband parked in the parking area they also have valet parking. I was seated right away there was no wait due to it Being early I guess. I was greeted by Chantel our server who was very professional an nice a bit to professional but I guess that's a good thing. She brought us a complimentary appetizer an some water. We ended up ordering a margarita pie which was very very delicious nice an crispy with very good cheese only thing I would say is the sauce wasn't that great a bit watery an no flavor but I defiantly enjoyed it. My husband ordered calamari which he enjoyed as well the spicy sauce was amazing. Only thing that got me a little Was we where the only table an our food took way to long to come out, once it did we did enjoy it. We also ordered chicken franchese with linguine pasta. It was good nothing different from any other over tried. Very nice an friendly staff great holiday decorations prices are average maybe $2 bucks over an average Italian restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

The cleanest restaurant ive ever eaten in its amazing ...open kitchen is a nice touch . valet parking is offered on weekends and a lot on the side n across the street . Portions are big ...pork chop dishes are amazing , fried calamari always perfect . stuffed meatball is gigantic and comes w pasta . everyone there treats you like family and it has a wonderful atmosohere . Id also recommend for lunch as the menu offers so much variety . seafood fra diablo w pasta is excellent Reasonable prices...good food and a polite staff nice wine selection..definitely worth a visit .. Dont forget to ask about dessets ..the homemade cheese cake is a winner and coffee or black or regular perfect .

The food was good, but the service was slow. But what pissed me off was they truly charged a 2 year old and a 4 year old as adults, just to be able to include gratuity. Really Who Does That! Never again and I'll Tell My Friends.

So this was how my dinner experience went at Bella Mama Rose: My boyfriend and I were celebrating a belated Valentines Day and since we had tickets to a 10:00 movie at Staidum 16 on Forest Avenue we decided to go to Bella Mama Rose for dinner since it was close by to where we needed to be. However, the staff (particularly the manager) was beyond unprofessional and rude. We got there around 8:40- Movie was at 10:00. We thought, "Yeah we'll have enough time to eat and then drive down Forest Ave for the movie." We ordered appetizers and entrees. For appetizers we had a Margarita pizza and some Mac and cheese balls. Just that alone took 20-25 mins to come out. Now we're waiting for the entrees 9:20-9:25-9:30.... Still nothing We told them we had a 10:00 movie to go to The waiter replied "Oh why didn't you tell us you were in a hurry? We'll check on the entrees." By this point is was 9:40- I asked for a manager. The manager came over and I explained to her we had a movie to go to and that I'd appreciate it if we could just get billed for what we did in fact eat. She replied and I quote, "If you are a in a rush this is not the place to come to because we cook everything fresh as it's ordered. Your entrees are coming out now, so do you have time to eat them?" I literally thought this was a joke. I said no. I asked her if she could remove it from the bill and she said she couldn't do that because the food was already prepared. So I ended up having to have them pack up the entrees because we were running late for the movie (when mind you we arrived an hour and 20 minutes prior to the movie time) and I was forced to pay for food I didn't even get to consume in their restaurant. What manager speaks to a customer like that ? I just angrily paid and walked out The manager was sitting at the bar when we were walking out and she was like "Sorry about that guys," and I am like "Yeah thanks." Never going back and this YELP review gives me the satisfaction.
