We went to Bell+Amadeus for Christmas dinner, and overall it was a really nice experience. They normally require reservations, so we were very grateful they were still able to give us a table even though we didn’t have one, definitely a good reminder to book ahead, especially during holidays.
The restaurant has a cozy, intimate atmosphere, very much in line with how other diners describe it, relaxed yet refined, with a European-inspired feel that’s perfect for special occasions or a slower, more intentional meal. One thing to note is that they don’t have a private restroom inside the restaurant, you’ll need to step out and use the shared public CR at 88th Avenue, which is used by other establishments nearby.
Service was excellent. The staff was very attentive, polite, and well-paced, checking in at the right moments without hovering.
The food was consistently very good. For appetizers, we ordered the Tuna Tartare with Squid Ink Tapioca Cracker, which was so good, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. We also had the Grilled Pesto Chicken & Dragon Fruit Salad with Creamy Parmigiano, which we finished almost instantly.
For mains, we tried several dishes and enjoyed all of them. The Paella Negra was rich and satisfying, the Chicken Confit was tender and delicious, and we also had the Short Rib Ragu Fettuccine, which was comforting and well-executed with deep, hearty flavor. We ordered their frozen margaritas, which were on a two-for-the-price-of-one promo, making it a great deal.
Dessert wrapped things up perfectly. We had the Chocolate Lava Cake, Pesto Ice Cream, and Poached Pears in Red Wine Sauce, and all were very good, a lovely way to end the meal.
Overall, the experience at Bell+Amadeus was warm, enjoyable, and memorable. Between the cozy ambiance, attentive service, and consistently good food, it’s easy to see why the restaurant is popular and often fully booked. Definitely worth a visit, just make sure to reserve ahead next time.
