Bell+Amadeus - Review - Cebu City - Cebu - The Infatuation

"On any given evening at Bell+Amadeus, you might spot a trio of twentysomethings in matching halter tops huddled in a booth, or an influencer couple fromManilain town for the weekend. These diners are here to have hushed conversations in a dim, sexy atmosphere, a great contrast to the decidedly vibrant seafood- and floral-focused dishes, like coconut and elderflower espuma, ylang-ylang crème brulée with purple yam moss, uni pesto linguine with a creamy, briny kick. Never say no to seconds of the squid ink-tapioca-and-tuna-tartare crackers. This is the place to people-watch, either inside or on the patio that puts you right in the middle of the nighttime buzz." - Chandra Joshua

This is such a beautiful spot for a cozy yet elegant dinner in Cebu City. The atmosphere feels warm and intimate, the food is really good, and the staff are so thoughtful and attentive. They also remind you ahead of time about your dinner reservation. They even helped arrange a customized cake and a special proposal surprise, which made the night unforgettable. The saikoro beef ribeye was a standout, the chicken confit was unique, and the guava mocktail was so refreshing. A perfect place for moments you’ll want to remember.

Our experience at Bell and Amadeus was truly delightful from start to finish. The ambiance felt cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the moment. Our server Mel was courteous, attentive, and made sure every order was handled with care. The food was simply perfect, bursting with flavor and served impressively fast, which made the experience even more enjoyable. We would also like to extend our appreciation to Chime who welcomed us with genuine Cebu hospitality and surprised us with a complimentary dessert that added a sweet and thoughtful touch to our visit. Bell and Amadeus truly stands out as a place where great food meets heartfelt service. It is without a doubt the perfect place to be for all occasions.

We had a truly memorable experience at Bell + Amadeus. Even though we arrived close to their closing time, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth and kindness, never making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. That alone says a lot about the heart of this restaurant. Service throughout the evening was friendly, attentive, and sincere. The team took time to explain the menu and made sure we were well taken care of, which really elevated the whole dining experience. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality feels so natural and unforced. The food was excellent—well prepared, thoughtfully presented, and clearly made with care. You can feel the passion behind both the kitchen and the front-of-house team. Bell + Amadeus is not just about good food; it’s about how they make guests feel welcome and valued, even at the end of a long day. A big thank you to the entire team for going the extra mile. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Cebu. (BETTER THEN SIALO!)

We went to Bell+Amadeus for Christmas dinner, and overall it was a really nice experience. They normally require reservations, so we were very grateful they were still able to give us a table even though we didn’t have one, definitely a good reminder to book ahead, especially during holidays. The restaurant has a cozy, intimate atmosphere, very much in line with how other diners describe it, relaxed yet refined, with a European-inspired feel that’s perfect for special occasions or a slower, more intentional meal. One thing to note is that they don’t have a private restroom inside the restaurant, you’ll need to step out and use the shared public CR at 88th Avenue, which is used by other establishments nearby. Service was excellent. The staff was very attentive, polite, and well-paced, checking in at the right moments without hovering. The food was consistently very good. For appetizers, we ordered the Tuna Tartare with Squid Ink Tapioca Cracker, which was so good, fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. We also had the Grilled Pesto Chicken & Dragon Fruit Salad with Creamy Parmigiano, which we finished almost instantly. For mains, we tried several dishes and enjoyed all of them. The Paella Negra was rich and satisfying, the Chicken Confit was tender and delicious, and we also had the Short Rib Ragu Fettuccine, which was comforting and well-executed with deep, hearty flavor. We ordered their frozen margaritas, which were on a two-for-the-price-of-one promo, making it a great deal. Dessert wrapped things up perfectly. We had the Chocolate Lava Cake, Pesto Ice Cream, and Poached Pears in Red Wine Sauce, and all were very good, a lovely way to end the meal. Overall, the experience at Bell+Amadeus was warm, enjoyable, and memorable. Between the cozy ambiance, attentive service, and consistently good food, it’s easy to see why the restaurant is popular and often fully booked. Definitely worth a visit, just make sure to reserve ahead next time.

First impressions last and being told to scan a qr code for the menu is so tacky. Worse, you can’t even read the menu on a single scrolling page. I liked the shrimp salad except for the shrimp. Nice mixture of greens, enough amount of arugula to give that bitter flavor, macadamia nuts for texture, and the blue cheese dressing tied it together. The shrimp could’ve been improved tho. Scallops for starters were interesting, the texture was good. The ribeye steak was tender but not really juicy and oily. The compound butter over it added a comforting flavor while the gravy was decent. Could’ve been elevated with a sprinkle of salt and pepper but it was still great. The truffle cream and risotto was my fave sauce of the night but that salmon meat on top was flavorless and dry. The uni pasta was good but after one bite i was kind of bored. I would’ve had it with any citrus slice to add more acid to the flavor. I had so many things I liked and some things I didn’t but overall I really appreciated the flavors and textures of the dishes we had. That final impression is what’s important. Definitely going to visit next time and hopefully might edit this review to give them a perfect score.

We upgraded our dinner date with Bell + Amadeus last November 6, 2025, since every 6th of the month is a special day for us — and the experience truly lived up to the occasion. The ambiance, service, and food made the night remarkable. For our starter, we had the Pan-Seared Scallops with Lime Miso Dressing and Citrus Couscous on Avocado Purée — absolutely delicious, fresh, and perfectly balanced. We then enjoyed the Mixed Seafood in Truffle Cream Sauce Squid Ink Pasta. It was cooked al dente, creamy, and incredibly mouthwatering. For the mains, we ordered the Wagyu Cubes with Japanese Fried Rice and Nori Butter. The wagyu was tender and flavorful, though the rice was a bit hard to chew and wasn’t quite the Japanese-style texture we expected. We also had the Grilled Garlic Herbed Pork Chop with Potato Carrot Emulsion & Creamy White Wine Butter Sauce with Pork Jus — the star of the night. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and even better when paired with a glass of wine. To end the night, we tried the Ylang-Ylang Crème Brûlée with Ube Moss, Jackfruit Gelée, and Black Sesame Ice Cream — unique, fragrant, and a delightful mix of flavors. Overall, highly recommended. A wonderful upgraded date night experience worth coming back for.

I had a great experience at Bell + Amadeus. The prosciutto and grape salad was refreshing, with a passion fruit–garlic mustard dressing that was tangy and bright. The braised pork was my favorite with its flavor-packed sauce that tied everything together, and the lapu-lapu was cooked perfectly with its paksiw sauce complemented well. We ended with the lava cake and pesto ice cream, which was a delightful surprise; I’ve never tasted ice cream like that before. Highly recommended and memorable meal with impressive and creative flavors.
