Bella's Helado De Coco & Italian Ice

Cute space and delicious Italian ice. The portions were huge and they were making the guava fresh in store and still let us buy us. Staff were super friendly. Definitely worth the money. Will be back next time we’re in Chicago.

I’m so thankful this is a short walk from my house - it’s so delicious and refreshing!! Unfortunately they were out of a few flavors like mango and parcha but that just means I have to go back! I tried the lemon flavor and it brought me back to the ice cream truck days it was so smooth and savory. The piña colada flavor is also amazing! Super fair prices for the portions. Very kind staff too! 😊

This brought back so many childhood memories. If you grew up in the chicago area you knew a coco man. This place is THE spot. They had a variety of flavors to choose from and even options to take home (freeze and eat later). Service was amazing (Thank you Bella). The place itself is so cute and you can feel the inspiration and tribute to Puerto Rico and also honoring the latin community by offering a “vampiro” which has tamarind, chamoy, and tajin. Will definitely be coming back again all summer.

I cannot rave about this place enough, hands down the best ice cream/italian ice in Chicago. Rich and perfect flavors, a great variety of them too. You cannot skip this place whether you’re visiting or are a local. I’ll be here all summer 🥰

Coquito is amazing!!! Brought back so many childhood memories. I'll definitely be returning. My kids ordered strawberry and lime flavors and they are also really good. Side note: Place is cozy and music is on point to sit down and enjoy your ice!

On point!! I dont like coconut anything,but this ice is so good that when I go back that's all I'm getting! These 4 flavors I had, none of them disappointed. They have a cute half of a reusable coconut that they can put your shaved ice in also..

I had a taste for something sweet and noticed this place just opening for the day. I had my mind set on italian ice since that's what I saw advertised however when inside I saw a sign for Helado de coco and with coco shavings on top....YES PLEASE!! The small cup was refreshing, tasty and delicious. I will opt for a large, next time I am in the area. I am curious if they sell pints or gallons and is it made in house?🤔

First time there clean environment speedy and kind service. My kids tasted the Watermelon and I tasted the Passion Fruit. The passion fruit was so sweet and delicious the watermelon according to my kids was good. I ended up with the Cocito and my 1yr old enjoyed it for his first tour in.

I came here for the first time. The staff was great. Very friendly and had smiles. I ordered my usual strawberry and lemonade and my side and kids both go their Helado de Coco. I instantly regretted not ordering one for myself. My strawberry & lemonade was good, it did not compare to the Helado de Coco. It was really tasty. The coconut stood out. It was sweet and creamy and very delicious. I will make sure I get the Helado de Coco on my next visit.

First time here and it did not disappoint! Great service and the flavors were bomb! I came for the Coco and it was on point! We got the Logan Square & for $10 you cannot beat that! Signed up for their rewards system and got a coupon so I'll definitely be back!

I'm in Love with the COCO I'm in love with the COCO I got it for the LOW, LOW... The got Parcha, mango, and many other delicious treats. The flavors are not overpowering, and the ice is closer to powder in texture. This is an adorable Italian Ice shop aLong Fullerton with a couple benches outside too. The inside is small, but smells delicious!

All I can say is delicious! The coconut is best. Priced right and definitely will be back soon.

This small shop was right by a restaurant we had just dined at and decided to go in & was so glad I did! Loved their coconut and mixed with mango Italian ice as it was very good! Definitely worth try and recommend for those looking for authentic coconut flavors and even added the shavings of the coconut as it is creamy and delicious! Reasonable price and overall was a nice experience! I'd definitely go back!!

The helado de coco is delicious. It's creamy and light, with the perfect amount of sweetness and spice. I tried a bit of the tamarindo too, which was also good.

A wonderful addition to the neighborhood! The helado de coco is a hybrid of ice cream and shaved ice and is divine. It comes in a coconut shell and instantly transports you to a beach in Puerto Rico.

afther I saw ana Balabal souporting this place I stop by and try it I order the helado de coco was good but no coconut on top or the cinnamon stick next time I will try the Logan square...........

This spot is so cool!!! Growing up in PR all the flavors bring back memories of a hot day in the beach. More accustomed to buying Coco in the park but I love the idea of not having to hunt for someone who is selling this now we know where to find it!

Omg! Found this awesome spot in Instagram. Been there twice and my husband and I love their Italian ice. My favorite is the helado de coco in a coconut shell since I love coconut so much. My husband loves everything and anything Guayaba (guava) so he had the guava flavor and loved it. Went back a few weeks later and they were out of guava so he had the strawberry and loved that one too. Can't wait to go back and try their other flavors

I originally saw this place on my fb feed and saw helado de coco sold ,I had to try. Today I decided to finally stop by and it did not disappoint. We tested some of the Italian ice and they were all good ! Finally decided to get a Large helado de coco with guava , a kids size strawberry and also a Logan square which is 4 flavors in one container ! The Italian ice are very creamy and full of flavor ! Would be stopping by again soon !

We stopped in to try this new place on Fullerton...okay, nice people behind the counter. There's a few tables inside...parking is a pain in the butt because there a popular restaurant a few doors down so impossible trying to find a parking spot. Now the Italian ice...we tried Coco and Tamarindo- not bad, sweet but not to sweet, just right i would say BUT the PRICES Geee how can a family of 4 let's say, afford to take their kids for some Italian ice? Not here that for sure. Way to expensive for the size of the cups.

What's not to love? They have Helado de Coco and about 7 flavors of Italian ice. I got the smallest size, but it was still two generous scoops, lime and passion fruit. My daughter got mango and blue raspberry. All the flavors were delicious. It's a small family owned business, and they put little Puerto Rican flags in the Italian ice...I'm not sure if they do that all the time, or just around the time of the Puerto Rican parade. It's a great addition to the neighborhood.

This place needs more reviews!! First off tiktok brought me here Lol. Secondly, do not I repeat, do not turn away if you see a long line ( it moves fast I promise)It's worth every minute of your wait. Lastly, staff was friendly and attentive to the customers. Love this place! My boyfriend doesn't really like anything coconut flavored but after trying this place, we keep coming every week! We met Bella, and her family. Very kind people. Love supporting family owned businesses! Will always be coming back.

First timer here and loved this place!! The taste was just what I was looking for a taste that I reminded me from my childhood. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was joyful, kind and very attentive. We will definitely be back to try more flavors. I had the original coco flavor (my favorite) and my small child and hubby had strawberry My mil and brother-in-law had the parcha and they liked it too.

We saw this place on TikTok and had to try it out! The owner was so nice and couldn't believe we found him off of TikTok. We got the mango and limon and they tasted amazing. Will be back soon!

Okay don't get me wrong the ice cream I'm hearing is great .. and I had it once before it was great BUT .. taking a step back into the convenience part of it ... I've been turned away twice because they ran out of certain ice creams ... the lines are outrageously long and NOT social distanced . They are completely under staffed and the owner plays the music a little too loud for others to hear . Don't get me wrong AMAZING ICE cream and Helado de coco and great customer service as far as conversation but a huge Step back when it comes to wait time and product on hand and ready to serve ...

I am so glad my friends and I discovered this place last week. It's down the block from our house which is convenient (and maybe even dangerous) for us. The mango with tajin was amazing. Service was great. We will be returning...often!

Weird kid behind the counter was rude. Didn't acknowledge us when we approached the counter. Hard to find parking, small space, no labels, didn't offer samples, mid ice cream. Wouldn't come back.

Amazingly DELICIOUS! Tastes like real strawberries, passion fruits and mangoes! The mangonada was simply divine! So fresh, smooth and creamy. The owners are so friendly. We'll be coming back again soon.

This place is literally AMAZING! The atmosphere, the vibe, the experience of eating the AUTHENTIC helado de coco straight from a coconut shell is unexplainable. They pay so much attention to detail here by adding a Puerto Rican flag toothpick and a cinnamon stick. I love how clean it is, how sweet the staff is and how tasty everything is. Go here seriously you will not regret it.
