"Bellmont is a Spanish restaurant in Miracle Mile serving traditional Iberian specialties. The Spice menu opens us with options such as gazpacho served here in two iterations: the “Andaluz” blending tomato, garlic, olive oil, sea salt, onions, white and black pepper, or the “Old English Cucumber,” where a mix of sea salt, Greek yogurt, and almonds are enhanced with a touch of garlic and olive oil. For a main course, there are three paella dishes to choose from, along with wild salmon accompanied by porcini risotto or pork loin cooked in homemade marinated sauce and served with French fries. The dessert highlight is the flan, a simple combination of milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Offered from Tuesday through Sunday." - Juliana Accioly

The place was amazing. Duni was fantastic his attention to detail was extraordinary. Hands down the restaurant was an absolute delight. Good was fresh and so well prepared.

I could just write about the food poisoning my elderly mother got from this establishment. I could write about how the paella seemed to be cooked badly, with a grayish, almost black tinge to the rice which could only mean that the clams it had in it were added at the wrong time and not washed out meaning that they basically sat in the rice and all their "dirtyness" went straight into rice water. Heck, I could even write about how the burnt "crust"(why?) on the paella seemed to come from a cold paella that was reheated underneath a salamander(broiler) right before serving it to me (again, why?) No, what kinda bothered me more than that was the restaurants' reaction to this happening at all ... to any of their customers. Granted, I didn't complain about this atrocious excuse for a paella since my head was wrapped around what was going on with my mother. I was in disbelief at the sheer smell of nothing less than a rotten chicken breast, cooked and served . So, because I didn't complain about my paella, nothing was done and I paid for it. The server comped my mother's meal and I'm grateful for that i guess but I have to be honest, I was expecting a visit from the manager. Guess things just aren't the way they used to be. Wouldn't recommend this place; not because of "one experience" but more so, because of what seems to be the way of doing things there. With what happened recently where a dude died from eating bad oysters here in Florida ...I gotta be honest, this place -with it's lack of regard for food safety- kinda scares me a little. Just saying Beware. There are PLENTY of other places in South Florida (Miami alone) to get quality paella (not pre-made and re-heated) made while you wait, from scratch (as Paella SHOULD BE MADE) ... try those places first Sorry for any typos

Went there for father's day as everything else was booked. Was pleasing surprised by getting a last minute reservation when I called and got Sergio on the phone. The food was delicious. Authentic Spanish food, my parents are picky and they enjoyed it. I did too. Everything is good. The place is not glamorous but the food is great. Highly recommended

Ordered several small dishes because it all sounded delicious but could not finish most of it since it was quite filling. Croquettes were really home made but oddly enough I prefer the mass produced ones at the Cuban bakeries. The squid ink risotto was light and not too salty. Eating with the lemon juice and sweet pepper was good and it provided a different flavor profile (I ate it first by itself). Unfortunately most of the food is very salty so I could not eat too much of anything. I recommend coming here with a big group so everyone can just get a bite of each dish since it is quite heavy to try and eat it all by yourself. The food is good at first bite but by the third bite you are ready to move on. Paella was ok. The tosta with goat cheese was good for a few bites but the high salt made it hard to finish. Turrón ice cream was made with the almond paste turrón which is dryer than the yolk turrón but they explained it was the only turrón possible for the home made ice cream process so I didn't enjoy the dessert as much as my sister. I look forward to trying the suckling pig next time (have to order at least 5 hours prior and it serves 4 to 6). I won't come back too often since it won't make for easy light eating but it was nice to try something different from the usual pasta and steak menus.

Made reservations for dinner and the Flamenco Show! I can't say enough about this authentic Spanish restaurant. The food was amazing, hot and fresh. The wine was perfect. the service was fast and attentive. The Flamenco Show was absolutely amazing!

Google
First time in this restaurant and love the experience. From the appetizers, Sangria and the traditional Paella. Everything was delicious. Don’t forget desert, I had the Torrija Borracha Manchega which was superb. Will return Highly recommended!

Google
Really good seafood Paella isn't about a recipe or a formula, its an art and requires an understanding of the ingredients, the heat, the timing and often can't be taught because its an intuitive sense...an artists talent... someone here at Belmont is passionate about making Paella and it is clearly evident. If you appreciate an excellent seafood paella don't miss the Belmont..

This was the worst experiences of spanish cooking i have ever encounter outside Spain. From the service to the worst food ever. The paella had the rice overcook to a smash. The flavor was awful with tons of paprika and the broth was old. The cochinillo was the left over and dry. The owner was disrespectfull the entire time. Avoid this restaurant at all cost. Wast of money and time. This is one of the worst experiences me and my friends would have. Dont recomend this place ever. And the owner is delusional. That is why a friday night all around this street everything is without an available seat and this place only had 2 tables running including mine. One thing that i want to make very clear as the owners comment in response alleged. Dont need, dont want eat for free in any place. An i haven't raised my voice to anyone. But this is my experience in this place with this person so i strongly dont recommend anyone to have a similar incredible bad experience in this restaurant ever. Dont make excuses hear the complaints and work to be better.

Yelp
I preface this review with that I have been here before and have had a great experience, however this last visit was abysmal: and my last. It was scorching in the place. We asked the owner to lower the temperature several times only to be told there was an issue and that it was already cool. I and others took off our diner jackets. I was part of a large group. We had a set menu, croquettes and paella. The croquettas were actually good. That's it. Full stop. Everything else was revolting. I was given the paella. Burnt to a crisp. It was inedible. The salt content was equal to the Dead Sea. The shrimp was so burnt it should've been sent to a burn unit. The person sitting in front of me had the steak. Same issue with the salt; so much so that he left half of it thinking he may stroke out. Not once were we asked about the food. Copious amounts of food were left on the table. The desert, Tarta De Santiago, was old, dry and no taste of the main ingredient: almonds. The highlight of the meal was the bread and the aforementioned croquettas. The meal came with a flamenco show. The dancers have been there for awhile and are actually a really good troupe. The get a star for the show and one for being a family run business. Fine dining in Miami is having a renaissance. The Gables is one of these epicenters in the culinary scene. Belmont a grand dame, needs an injection of fresh energy. It is going to face strong head winds with the addition of two Spanish themed restaurants on the same block. If it does not change course soon it will flounder like a galleon on the shoals of the competition.

Yelp
Saw this place and it looked nice ordered a couple of beers on tap extremely cold and very good. Ordered charcuterie plate wow it is good but fair warming it is not cheap but it's worth trying

Yelp
Sat outside at Bellmont and had excellent vibes! The sangria is some of the best sangria I have had and the price for a glass is $9 and for a pitcher $20 so it is a good deal. And the croquetas were good. The complimentary bread was delicious and the service was great as well!

Yelp
Back in the last week of June, Wednesday 28th, some family flew into town for a visit and the rest of us met up at this hyped up Spanish Restaurant known for their Roasted suckling pig cooked in a brick oven and so it was a close central point for everyone to drive to. So here we were, a table of 13 in the back portion of the restaurant and the rest was eerily empty-ish with barely 2 or 3 small tables staying at any given moment with the bar mostly empty the entire evening. Service: So leading with that, I expected attentive service but did not get that. It was iffy and had to constantly get the attention of staffers. First off, we all here chatting and mingling around the table catching up family news with some sitting and some standing but we all do eventually settle down and sit. Decisions being made while looking at the menus but staff are barely engaging us and only when we get their attention. It was haphazard that not a single person came around the entire table to take orders or make suggestions voluntarily. Some had already ordered appetizers and I didn't even know about it! Once we were all enjoying various appetizers, I don't recall any staff checking up on us to see how we were enjoying things, the same was true with dinner. Felt very stand-off-ish It just felt like our table was on its own pace. Also, one of my uncles who was running a little late and sitting across from me kept seeming to be forgotten by staff a few times. First was him sitting down and me asking to bring him the basic fork knife napkin. And when they came with it I mentioned his partner is coming as well and the staff person left it on the partners area and not his and went to the back and brought out another set for my uncle. Then they eventually didn't ask him what he wanted to order for appetizers and again I had to get their attention. After the appetizer they yet again forgot to clear his table area and I had to motion someone to do it. Sad comedy and had to make a laughing comment between us. For dinner, when most of us ordered the same Lubina fish, my uncle was given a plate of two flat sad looking pieces of fish like Tilapia even though when questioned they said it was Lubina. It wasn't very tasty, so I gave him half of mine because of the timing issue with the rest of our family eating dinner. So with that, I too had to ask the server to come and order appetizer and when family was ordering dinner I had to motion to the staffer that I too wanted to order. It was annoying. Food: Appetizers: The appetizers we all ordered were amazing which was contrary to the Main dinner for a few of us. The Chorizo a La Sidra was sublime savory, the manchego cheese plating soft n fresh, the 5J iberico beautifully plated and tasted so well, the round croquettas variety flavors were Creamy high quality and tastey (I think I had the ham). Then Dinner mains erased all that: My mom ordered a paella that came out dark semi burnt. Mind you that there is another Yelper or two(?) That who posted one or two photos their paella was very black burnt. How does a restaurant mess up a traditional dish like this? Anyway my mom ate some of but unimpressed underflavored almost bland. Sad. About 9 of us ordered the fish entree Lubina Cantabrica which was described to me by a staffer that is was done in a wine sauce. Ok. Well it loked pretty, tall and beefy and moist but was bland barely barely seasoned and no taste of wine sauce. The side of sliced potatoes were mealy consistency like old potatoes. As I mentioned earlier, mu uncle's plate definitely did not have the same dish and did not look or taste appetizing so I gave some of mine. Why didn't we opt to order the suckling pig you might ask? Well, the website didn't really say it take almost 1.5 hours to cook and also didn't say anything about calling ahead to order it. Another disappointment was the size of their brick oven, it was tiny and just sitting there on the back wall almost like an afterthought? Well.. my family planned our get together so suppose they relied on the website to make this decision. Dessert: Tried someone's crema Catalina, it was ok tasted like other restaurants Also tried the Torta de santiago with a nougat ice cream and it was very very good. The red wine we selected was good but at Miami room temperature. I guess they do the same in Spain Ambience: Empty as I said before, it never got busy. The music playing was strange, it was a collection of some artists and did not fit the theme of Spanish food dining I highly doubt I will be back as there are other Spanish restaurants that have better service and food quality.

Yelp
Roaches all around, very disgusting place. Bathroom extremely dirty with pee all around the toilet and floor, with a bus stop public bathroom smell. The poor waiter Tony did the best he could but totally overwhelmed with doing everything by himself, from cooking to serving. Would never go back or recommend.

Luis F.

Yelp
The service was horrible, the food was barely acceptable, I sat at the table for over 30 minutes with out at least a water or drink refill at a party for a 100th birthday party with 75 guest with only 2 servers and a manager but the worst part was that they kept the outdoor tables opened and could not maintain service to the 75+ guest at the inside of the restaurant. the outside guest had better service than the party guest. The waiter splilled wine all over my head and back and no one offered a towel or an Apology for soaking me and my wife with wine

Joseph V.

Yelp
My first time here and it was for a baby shower so I need to come back for regular dining to give a fair review. But my experience was a positive one. The sangria was very very good and so were the croquetas and tortilla. I ordered the seafood paella and it was tasty but could have been a little more seasoned. However, I was also able to try the meat paella and that one was delicious and extremely flavorful. Will be coming back again.

Yelp
I don't usually write reviews, but after having lunch there this afternoon and seeing it almost empty, I decided to check out the reviews. I just can't believe they have such low score...I've worked in the Gables area for more than 15 years, and although this restaurant definitely hasn't been around that long, I have to say it's one of the best Spanish restaurants we've had. I come here often with colleagues and clients and they have never disappointed. Their charcuterie, garbanzos, chorizos, fish, meats, etc... all dishes I've tried are delicious and well presented. I definitely recommend it!!!

Yelp
2024 nye celebration spanish style at bellmont restaurant with a flamenco show. the place is very nice and modern, with great spanish dishes, and located at the famous miracle mile. service was outstanding and sergio, the owner was taking care of all the tables, he also helped us to choose the right wines. for this event, they offered a prefixed menu, 3 appetizers served family style, a platter of ibéricos, piquillo red peppers from lodosa (asturias) & reduction of strawberries sweet sauce and salmon tartare with avocado, natural pineapple, soy, lemon and lime sauce reduction with toasted galician bread, they also gave us some delicious croquettes because my mom is allergic to salmon. then we choose 100% natural black angus tenderloin cooked on the rock, aged over 29 days, rústicas potatoes, tempura eggplant sticks and seafood paella - calasparras rice (spain), saffron, calamari, shrimp, langoustine, clams, mussels. for dessert, they gave us homemade cookies cake like abui áfrica makes, strawberries, whipped cream, nougat ice-cream. before midnight a glass of champagne and 12 grapes. what a wonderful time.

Tina D.

Yelp
The ambience, decor and service is excellent. It was like dining with family. They were so welcoming. I really enjoyed the fried chickpeas. I did not like the consistency of the croquettes. The sautéd spinach was flavorful. I was really excited to try this restaurant because l had never had Paella. It was not my favorite dish. My friend told me she had had better and not to give up. The almond tart and Nougat ice cream was amazing.

Yelp
My family and I went to Bellmont last night but I was less than pleased with our overall experience. When they finally arrived, the starters were decent, the cheeses, the Serrano ham, chorizo a la sidra, etc. My wife ordered a seafood paella, and it was downright awful. It was overcooked, bland, and dry. It had none of the ingredients most paella lovers look forward to enjoying in a traditional paella. The rice looked brown; they burned it. It was flavorless, it didn't have the taste of a real paella. I ordered the Corvina, and it was good but the Corvina one of my brothers got was awful looking and tasteless. Another brother ordered the Fideuà Negra, and it was also bland. Not to be all negative, but they do have a great wine list. I will never return especially when you can find better Spanish restaurants in Miami.

Lissette M.

Yelp
Loved the food, especially the sangria. Their service were excellent. Friendly. The place is so clean, & cozy. A great place for a date night.

Yisel C.

Yelp
Came here for one of their flamenco shows and dinner prefix menu. Horrible food! Total bill for 4 was 637$ the only good thing was the wine. Disgusting food, one of the worse places I've ever eaten at for the price. Paella terrible, "cochinito" a joke, dessert is gross. They should be closed. The show was decent but far more Cuban than Spanish by far. Not impressed won't be back and what a waste of money. Will never return, ever.

Kristin S.

Yelp
I had the misfortune of dining at Belmont, a Spanish restaurant in Coral Gables on Mother's Day. While the food was decent, the whole experience was overshadowed by the extremely poor service that we received from the wait staff and management. To start, the restaurant was not busy and lacked a welcoming atmosphere. My family and I patiently waited over an hour for our food to arrive, despite ordering in advance and the food still did not come out correctly. The wait staff was less than cordial and was notably frazzled, chaotic and under-prepared. The starters, which finally arrived, were decent, although the main courses were a major letdown since they arrived so late and not correct, we had to change what we originally ordered to what they actually brought to the table. Our request for the bill went unnoticed among the chaos of trying to correct the meal, and it took a considerate amount of time to pay and exit the restaurant. In the end, while the food at Belmont Spanish restaurant was okay, the terrible wait staff attention killed the experience. An hour beyond ordering is unacceptable, especially since we did not order Paella. I would definitely not be frequenting Belmont restaurant and tentatively would not towards recommending others to dine there until a substantial improvement in their service to justify a better dining experience.

Yelp
I'm surprised that this restaurant is still open! Last year we wanted to try it and went with friends to experience top Spanish cuisine, or so we thought! We all had the seafood paella and it wasn't up to par. Rice and flavor was not good. Fast forward to a year plus later and we decided to give this restaurant one more try (plus we couldn't get seating at any other because Carnaval on the Mile was going on). Let's start with the food. Some of the tapas that we ordered were average nothing to write about, but the prices were steep for what we got. Now let's move to the octopus. I ordered the medium size one for $33 it was supposed to be 5.5 oz to 6 oz. I called the manager and told him I ordered the medium and it looked like the small (2.5 oz). His response was "we weighed it and it was that but it shrunk in cooking." Wow 3 oz shrinkage! Our friend ordered the black seafood paella (made with squid ink) it was over cooked, practically burned. It looked that it was placed in the oven and forgotten! The service was bad. They had three servers and were understaffed. Our friends ordered Chardonnay and the mechanism they used to I pour it squirted the wine (not very classy!). They had to change it to finally pour it properly. More insulting, they added an automatic gratuity of 20% to our final bill. I always leave 20% anyway unless the service was really bad. I found it insulting that they did this. I could have argued about it, but decided to leave and not come back. The grand finale when leaving....a baby COCKROACH went right by my foot! Disgusting!

Jessenia G.

Yelp
Highly recommend this Spanish restaurant for its delicious cuisine and exceptional service. The croquetas, chuleton, and paella de marisco were all outstanding, and the red sangria and warm bread were a perfect start to the meal. Despite having only one waiter and manager on a Friday at 9:30pm the service was prompt and attentive throughout. Overall, a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Spanish cuisine and great service.

Myrna R.

Yelp
I've were less than pleased with our overall experience last night. We had a reservation through Open Table. We arrived on time and were seated. We should have know that an empty restaurant at 7:00 pm was a "red flag". I say overall experience because there were definitely some wonder aspects to our dinner. We ordered the manchego cheese. Excellent. We ordered a pitcher of sangria. Excellent. We ordered the ham croquets. Okay, not so excellent but edible. The paella was downright awful. It was overcooked, bland, dry. It had none of the ingredients that most paella lovers look forward to enjoying in a traditional paella. The rice looked and tasted like boiled-in-a-bag rice. It was flavorless. We did mention our concerns to our waiter who immediately defending the cook, "I don't understand. The chef has been making paellas for over 15 years and he's from Spain!" Our evening totaled to $120 (the paella was not removed from our bill but rather discounted at a 50% of the total cost which was approximately $25 off). It should have been removed. The crema Catalan dessert was yet another disappointment. Not at all worth the calories or the cost. One of the worst feelings in the world is being made to feel like you've been taken advantage of. We left the restaurant last night feeling just that. Come for the items that don't have to be cooked. The cheeses, the Serrano ham and the sangria. Stay away from the rest. Find yourself a different paella experience. This is not the restaurant for such a plate. I hear they do have a very nice flamenco show. We did not stay to watch it. There is parking in the back of the restaurant. A large public lot. Park there and go to Seasons 52 which is right next door to this place. You'll have a better meal and

Yelp
Great food and great service We went during Miami Spice time and the portions were big & tasteful

Manuel P.

Yelp
The food was incredible. My mom is from Madrid Spain and I grew up with this cooking at home. Sergio the owner/operator is also from Madrid and the food brought back childhood happy memories. We had the seafood paella and the Cochinito pibil. Both were loaded with flavor but not overwhelming. We also had some of the cured Serrano ham. Best I've had in south Florida! Not salty, melts in your mouth with flavor. The bread was freshly made (dough is flown in from Spain). For dessert we had Crema Catelana and it was delicious. All the food was OUTSTANDING! Service wise there are no words. We had reservation at 9:30pm but our flight was delayed and I called Sergio from the plane asking to please cook the food and worse case scenario we will take it to go. Sergio said no worries and stayed open for us(he still had customers finishing up)and was so gracious and also selected a good red wine to accompany our feast after we asked him. Even though it was late, at NO time did I feel rushed. I felt like I was in my own dinning room at home. Sergio knows his product and kitchen! Extremely knowledgeable and happy to share and answer any question. A class act, old world gentleman! He has a beautiful wood burning oven that he shipped from Spain and installed at Belmont. This is a place you must go to and you will be hooked. What a confi yet elegant ambiance! This is the real deal when it comes to Spanish cusine and ambiance!!! And it's not the decore but the knowledge and experience he shares in a humble respectful manor!

Yelp
The worst service I have experienced in a very long time. They have 3 servers and only 1 of which can actually close out your check. We walked in and there was only 2 tables occupied... waited 10 min before before being acknowledged. Then another 15 for a drink order. We then orders tapas, a paella and the ham plate. The ham play never arrived and the service continued to be terrible. We requested to close our bill and cancel the ham plate so we can leave. That took another 10 minutes and still no ham plate and not even an apology for the service. After I gave my credit card I had to wait another 15 minutes before getting up and getting angry in order for the only 1 person to close out my bill. This place is one of the worst I have been to in a very long time. The food was average and the overall experience made me feel like I threw my money away. I do not recommend this place and I plan on never returning. Horrible overall and a total waste of $165. Ambiance was ok but so hard to even look past the service from start to end as just a total nightmare. I would never recommend this place or return again.

Yelp
Great food and service, family owned restaurant with a real Spanish food. I like it!!

Yelp
Such a great find in the Gables. Amazing food, great service with a cozy feel. Can not recommend Bellmont enough.

Maria G.

Yelp
The food was very good. The tapas' selection was adequate. We received very good service. The ambiance is very family oriented. We sat outside & we watched the flamenco show. The show was very entertaining. I recommend Bellmont Spanish Restaurant.

Mauricio D.

Yelp
The place was alright though honestly I wouldn't return. Firstly the place was not the cleanest the border near the floor on the wall was so nasty that when I was eating a roach came out and started to run all over the place and when we told the waiter he did nothing about it like he didn't care. The ambiance was also pretty loud though that was because their was a wedding/celebration happening next to our table though I can imagine the place would still be loud considering they have a stage for people to dance on. The food was too expensive and not really that good though it was the first time to use a stone to cook our meat though I wouldn't recommend it considering all the juices of the meat fly up and hit and burn you which can be painful. 3/10 would not recommend

Jose V.

Yelp
Still TERRIBLE SERVICE, WRONG ATTITUDE OF THE OWNER. I went back after a few years and nothing has changed, not even the intnse smokey smell indide.

Jose C.

Yelp
The lunch was awful. the gazpacho was watery and the paella was dry and over cookEd. For starters we order a jamón tabla and it was very fatty. Not a pleasant experience.

Mairiz P.

Yelp
The place is not to par. Food is mediocre. Not consistent. Was not happy with the service we received on such a special event.

Susana F.

Yelp
The food was good, but the service was actually terrible. The hostess was rude when seating us. The server that brought us sparkling wine struggled to open the bottle, then almost hit us with a cork, and the bottle sat without an ice bucket for nearly an hour until I had to walk in and remind them. We went for a prearranged four-course meal for mother's day and when we asked what the courses would be, the staff running the food couldn't identify what we were being served. Some in my party don't eat meat, and we were never given a veggie option for a starter. No one asked why the two dishes were untouched. No one offered an alternative. Getting a glass of water refilled would take 40 minutes since no servers checked in on our table. The dessert on a $70+tax&tip fixed menu was a glass of plain yogurt with granola and honey, among other things. Absurd. They were overwhelmed with the event, despite the fact that they presold tickets and knew the number of guests. If the service was bad on a day like today, with no surprises, I cant imagine how bad it would be normally.

Ada H.

Yelp
I wanted to try new restaurant so I reserve a new place everyday for lunch. Paella is one of my favorite dish and honestly it's super challenging to find a really good paella place. I tried so many in Spain, Las vegas, LA....now Miami. The place is simpily decorated. The server is really friendly and nice. The food is not impressive. The paella was salt, and too wet. I like my paella moist yet dry at the bottom. Not crispy but dry and has a good seer at the bottom. The appetizer really wasn't that appetizing for me, greasy and day old croutons. Anyways, you can judge from the photos yourself

Julie W.

Yelp
What a memorable night! The food was delicious, especially the lamb chops. The calamari is fresh and perfect, very different and yummy take on croquetas. The flamenco show was so beautiful! Very talented dancers and singer, guitar player. Magical night; will definitely come back

Simo I.

Yelp
Such a trap!!! If I could rate 0....I would. It's a restaurant that has the word Spanish in its title and serves paella.:one would expect they can nail down a paella...the short answer is NO! Such a shameful experience... their paella is boiled rice, watery with closed mussels !!!uncooked fish!!! Not even the shrimp properly cleaned!!! I don't think that any cook could allow to have such a dish coming out of its kitchen and call it paella or to serve it. We've expressed our feedback to the waiter and she said 'that's how we cook it here' and she gave us 50% on the dish...that we didn't touch after few bites... Do yourselves a favor and do not go here... unless you want to risk and get food poisoning

Nadia S.

Yelp
Food is really really really baaaaad, buah:( You're not welcome there if you don't speak Spanish. I came for lunch and I was only one there. Even so, the waiter didn't want to take order, didn't offer any water. Ok, eventually I ordered. 2 more Latin people walked in. Waiter immediately gave them water, bread, took the order. I got croccuettes, they were hard, like they cooked it yesterday. After I ordered Paella. That was the most disgusting paella in my life. Rice is so over cooked, it became just oatmeal. Server came to Spanish people, asked if they are ok, but just ignored me. He gave them water but passed by my table without stopping even my glass was empty. For dessert I had nasty flan, taste horrible. I will never come back and I will tell everyone to stay away from this place. Horrible food and no service!

Yelp
We are currently planning our newborn's baptism and decided from the beginning that we wanted to have the reception at a restaurant. Since we choose Little Flower of Coral Gables for the ceremony we wanted to find something around the area. After searching several establishments and being extremely disappointed with some especially Mesa Mar, we found Bellmont Spanish Restaurant located in the heart of Coral Gables. So we contacted the manager and were surprised on how friendly the husband and wife team were. They offer a perfect package that includes two types of appetizers, a choice of three different Spanish dishes, and two types of desserts. For an additional fee they are also provide several bottles of Spanish wine. As our tradition we decided to pass by the restaurant to try the food. The exterior of the restaurant is very spacious with a modern twist on a Spanish restaurant, including a ham bar where they have the black hooves ham, just like they would in Madrid. The appetizers that we choose for the reception was the Spanish fritters with Ham, spinach, or cod, and fried calamaris. We also ordered two additional appetizers for us to try which were the octopus and the baby eels. The fritters was amazing with a nice crispy exterior and a smooth tasty interior, while the calamaris were lightly breaded with a fresh taste. The octopus were very tender and was not over seasoned with the right amount of oil and paprika. Baby eels was the biggest surprise and our favorite part of the meal, it was served nice and warm with a touch of garlic. Baby eels are a rare appetizer to find in any Miami restaurant and it was modestly priced compared to other ones in the city. For the main entree we choose the two types of paella , the traditional and the black (squid ink) one. Both dishes arrived to our table really hot but delicious and with a very good portion that can taken home. The rice was not overcooked and it included large chunks of Seafood such as octopus, squid, shrimp, and mussels. Like I mentioned the food and service was amazing and we are exited to have our reception there to celebrate our daughter baptism.

Yelp
The owner is nice, the attention is good, but if you order meat here, this is not the place, the meat didn't have any seasoning, lack of flavor, we order the parrilla for 2, the chef cooked the lamb chops, the pork and the chicken but they came over cooked, dry and one more time lack of any seasoning, this is my first and last time here, I was expecting a good experience and I had good service and good wine, but this is not the place to come for food.

Yelp
Exceptional Spanish food! Jamon 5j tray is like no other in Miami! ! Had the garbanzos and they were the best we have eaten in a long time. Highly recommend this hidden gem in Miracle Mile.

Yelp
Worse food ever. We ordered a delievery and the Steak was overcook, even when we ordered medium rare, horrible flavor, like if it was old. Our entire order was gross even the dessert. I do not recommend this restaurant

Yelp
Seafood Paella drenched in olive oil. I really tried to eat this because I absolutely hate wasting food but every bite was a bite of olive oil. It had no seasoning, the rice was soggy and swimming in olive oil. I wasn't going to post this because I know times have been tough with COVID but I got food poisoning. The appetizer I had was good but the paella was the worst dish I have ever had after 2 years of living in Miami. Not what I expected from a well rated restaurant.

Yelp
AMAZING! Went there for a business luncheon. I had their salmon and my coworker had the pork tenderloin both dishes were outstanding, probably the best salmon I've had. The owners are very attentive and polite. Overall a great experience and will be back!

Yelp
Some of the worst service I've ever received and on MOTHERS DAY. We were here for 1 hour and a half and our waiter came to our table 2 times TOTAL the manager had to come out and take care of us???? The waiter started off by just telling us everything on the menu that wasn't available and then Just said everything else was available. Super cold and rude, other waiters that were literally just standing doing nothing refused to walk to us when we tried to wave them over for basic service. So the food was good, no bad review towards the chef, I enjoyed my food. Extremely slow service, the ice coldest staff I've ever interacted with. Mind you we're not rude nor high maintenance customers that complain about any little thing possible. But at this time of restaurant that has elevated food and pricing you expect elevated service. I have been treated better at Denny's than this restaurant.

Yelp
Service was good and that's about it. Food looked great but was bland, hardly any seasonings and no salt or flavor. Was poured water that looked like a napkin had been left citing in it for a day. Small white particles everywhere. Had high hopes, and perhaps it may still be recovering from pandemic. I'd give it the benefit of the doubt and try to go again. Maybe they had a new cook

Yelp
Horrible restaurant my sister asked if they could make the paella fresh and the manager later comes saying " I hear you have questions about the paella?" My sister explains that she saw the reviews of the paella and come on it doesn't looks the best!!! He later then goes on to say " as an opinion if you don't like the food here I suggest not eating here" which is something in a profession you don't say to FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS!! He later goes to escort us out and my dad ask him not to touch him and he tries to shove him away. And later goes to disrespect my dad why cursing him and threatening him!! The managers is a piece of shit!

Yelp
Came for Miami Spice, food overall all was ok. We waited a bit for our food to arrive which is understandable due to the current situation and them being low on staff. Would recommend if you're in the mood for Spanish food.

Yelp
The only thing I liked about the restaurant was the jamón ibérico (a bit overpriced for the amount you get) and the wine. The food didn't have a lot of flavor and the service sadly was really bad. I think it's disorganized and slow

Yelp
If you want a good time and good food. Do not come here. Horrible service. If I could give this place 0 stars I would

Yelp
I ordered the mixta for $42 and I could not believe the tiny portion that was delivered. See pic. I called the restaurant in case there was a mistake and I was assured by the manager Sergio that that is the same portion that they serve at the restaurant. So much for some friends over for tapas and red wine. I had to order some pizza to make up for the tiny portion.

Yelp
To call this restaurant a disaster would be an understatement. The food is less than mediocre. The service atrocious. It was difficult to find anything redeeming about this place. In fact I'm still thinking on what that might be. Perhaps The wine we ordered, which they had little to do with. On the evening I visited they had a flamenco act and frankly that was the only thing good about the entire experience. It took us more than an hour to be able to order wine. A member of our party asked for flat water and didn't get it until more than an hour and a half into our meal. The evening in question involved a three course meal. For the first course we had the mushrooms, calamari, and garlic shrimp. The mushrooms were under seasoned and tasteless. The calamari was stale and cold. And the garlic shrimp, well TGI Friday's does it better. For the main course most of us asked for the seafood paella. I'm not sure I'd call what we received a paella. It was watery and under seasoned. The seafood was not fresh. It was either under cooked or over cooked depending on what part of the pan it was. Eating hard calamari is hardly a desirable experience. Others in the party had a cold and water paella. One member of the party requested suckling pig which was excessively fatty and in places under cooked. For dessert we all had the crema Catalana, which is supposed to be a hearty custard with a hard sugary topping. The French call it crème brûlée. I'm not sure what we got but it wasn't crème brûlée or Crema catalana. Adding insult to injury, I called the restaurant at least a dozen times and texted it to inquire about corkage. As a wine collector I prefer to typically take my own wine and pay the restaurant a fee for opening it and serving it. They refused corkage and had they actually answered the phone, I wouldn't have taken three bottles of wine to the restaurant. We ended up ordering wine off the wine list which is fine and I don't mind doing but perhaps it would be good if they answer the phone. It should have been a sign of what was to come. I can't imagine I would ever return to this place. There are so many better Spanish restaurants in Miami, including the amazing Jamon Iberico Pata Negra near downtown Miami. What a mistake going to this place.

Yelp
Bellmont is a Spanish restaurant in miracle mile. And their food is the closest food from Spain you can taste: no tricks no inventions, just real food. It is family owned. The owner, Sergio is really knowledgeable about wine and jamón . They have a nice selection of this one, nothing easy in Miami. Experts in suckling pig... I think they are the only one in the city. Portions are huge and the price is not crazy. Wine list probably is one of the best you can see if you consider you can have whatever by the glass... I recommend the pig and the fish which comes fresh from Spain! Good jo

Yelp
My first time here and was for Miami Spice Parking: parked in the back and uses paybyphone app to pay. Very easy then standing there at the machine. And you will be notified when your time is up, incase you need to expand your parking time. Reservations: we called ahead. First view of restaurant: Very nice Appearance of restaurant: homey and beautiful Server: very nice Hospitality: didnt seem like restaurant was ready to serve customers. Appetizers: lentil soup, very tasty Entree: steak, with potatoes and Spanish salad. Very good. Dessert: homemade flan was good. Cost: $23 Other observation: we got there at 1145am, and even though we were the only ppl there till 1pm, we still had a wait time issue for water and food.

Yelp
We were a party of four looking forward to authentic Spanish cuisine. They don't offer Sangria. The outside seating was pleasant but the food was super disappointing in all regards. The paella Valencia was tasteless and boring with boiled flavorless rice, very little seafood, over-cooked chicken, and clams that were closed. So much for a house specialty. The suckling pig was all fat with very little pork but did have very crispy skin. As far as tapas, the croquettas were mushy, gooey and bland but the calamari was acceptable with a nicely flavored tomato sauce. The steak was the best entree, served on a hot stone to cook to your taste. Service was fair. The paella was served cold after waiting 2 hours for entrees and nobody came around to check on us. Won't go back.

Yelp
Bellmont hosted our rehearsal dinner of dreams! Madrid holds a special place in our hearts and it only made sense to make our rehearsal dinner a true Spanish feast. With Coral Gables being our wedding hub of sorts, I knew Bellmont would be a great fit. From the start, Sergio and Claudia were great to work with. We were offered a variety of menus that were super customizable to fit our needs. In the end, we used the entire restaurant on a Friday night for a meal with 65 of our closest friends and family. Everyone was blown away. They were very accommodating when it came to helping us out with A/V to project a slideshow, a microphone for folks to stand up and talk, and even our own playlist if we wanted. While they have great dessert, my mother-in-law wanted to bring in her own special cake and they were super helpful when it came to working through this. From the paella and juicy cochinillo, to jamon iberico and lamb, there was so much food but everyone had a favorite. The flowing wine certainly helped too. I would definitely recommend talking to Bellmont if you're on the hunt for an awesome private event.
