"After over two years in the build-out phase during the Pandemic, Bellwood Coffee re-opened its much-anticipated flagship cafe and roastery in Riverside in the first quarter of 2023. Since the grand opening nearly two years ago, Bellwood’s flagship location has hosted numerous events such as Jazz Night and open mic nights. The bar program was introduced last year, with craft cocktails available Wednesday to Saturday evenings. There’s also the East Atlanta Village location of Bellwood Coffee in collaboration with The Victorian." - Eugene Buchko
"In Atlanta’s Upper Westside, Bellwood Coffee’s flagship has been brewing seasonal and classic coffee concoctions since 2019. What started as a pop-up cart has transformed into a coffee bar, roastery, kitchen, and, more recently, a cocktail bar. The Ezra (cold brew and vegan horchata) is always a good idea, but if looking for something a little stronger, the Spro-Tini is Bellwood’s take on an espresso martini made with cold brew concentrate and cognac. After a few cocktail pop-ups, Bellwood went official earlier this year with a drinks menu that includes notable sips like the School Night (a low ABV spritz with apple cinnamon, and caramel that “tastes like a fall festival”), the Sailor’s Surprise (a boozy gimlet riff with a fernet floater), and a mini Negroni flight. There are even spirit-free options like the FOMO (a bubbly pineapple drink) and the Garden Party." - Allison Ramirez, Eater Staff
"Aiming to be Riverside’s true third place, Bellwood Coffee offers a friendly space for working, studying, or evening socializing and was launched in 2018 so neighbors could stay past the afternoons into the evenings; co-founder Charles Norman says they wanted beer, wine, and cocktails to complement the coffee. Nathan Nerswick, whom Norman hired at Bellwood’s Peachtree location and later promoted to general beverage director, crafts standout cocktails — an espresso martini recommended as a must-try and the Mermaid Magik, made with dried seaweed–infused gin, sherry, lime cordial, Meletti, and soy, which Norman says balances savory and sweet and evokes stepping out of the sea. Bellwood is also finessing a new food menu and emphasizes treating customers like friends while delivering memorable coffee and signature drinks." - Denise K. James
"I noticed that Bellwood Coffee partnered with Cary Smith and Libby Hockenberry to open a coffee shop inside the Victorian’s East Atlanta Village location." - Beth McKibben
"Bellwood Coffee is a coffee shop in Atlanta's Riverside neighborhood. It reopened on Bolton Road after two years, now occupying the entire space it once shared with Jim Adams Farm and Table. The shop serves coffee, espresso drinks, soda concoctions, locally roasted beans, pastries, and offers seating. Bellwood Coffee also operates locations in East Atlanta Village inside the Victorian plant shop and in the lobby of the 1776 Peachtree building on the Buckhead and Midtown border." - Beth McKibben
