I Enjoyed my Mushroom Burger that I had today, Also the pinballs and Vending Machine. Also at Night time the Inn is more than Lively, Has a Great mix of People.

This is the Dive bar you want to be at. Inflation prices haven’t got to this gem yet and I’m personally hoping it stays that way. Wide open spaces yet it still feels cozy and homely. What more can you ask for? 9.5/10 for everything, unfortunately it gets -.5 for feeling like an earthquake every time the bands next door strike up. Other than that, if you’re on Belmont and you are looking for a place that takes you back to some good ole days, Belmont Inn is it.

The bartenders are warm and welcoming. The crowd is a mix of all ages and styles—locals, hipsters, and people way cooler than me but they all blend effortlessly, giving the place a laid-back, unpretentious vibe. During the weekdays, it’s the perfect spot to unwind, grab a drink, and enjoy good company. Chill, no-frills bar with character.

SE Portland dive Belmont Inn is back! Sports Bar, Pinball (7 tables including Stranger Things, Elvira and new Avengers) Pool, Video Poker, Decent Bar food. Staff seems a little more heavy metal than before and that’s a good thing. Outdoor seating now as well.

Belmont Inn is by Far my Favorite Spot to come chill and have me "alone time". All the Bartenders from Past to Present, are very Enjoyable Individual to see and talk to!¡ Best Food for the Price they charge and the Portion size are Amazing. The Drinks made perfectly by the Bartenders😋All my friends I brought cannot get enough of the bomb Foods they serve w/drinks. Nothing Bad I need to say about this Place. It kept on doing well even after Covid and before 😊 Been coming here for well over 10yrs😁Will continued to Enjoyed my Fun times and Enjoyed the Great Workers they Have. 10/10. Belmont Inn is great. Great food, service, games, and microbrews. I prefer Belmont in over the other surrounding establishments because it's a bar. Instead of an overly trendy try hard factory. Thanks Belmont Inn. Keep up the good work. P.s fix the buck hunter game.

So I was served a beer by the female bartender. Everything was fine. Then the long-haired male bartender came out from the kitchen and called me a "f-g." So yeah. That's this place in a nutshell in so called "liberal" Portland. After a few minutes I confronted him on it. He knows what he said but accused me of "eavesdropping." Excuse me? I simply happened to hear the derogatory slur you uttered. Then he said "I don't need a white guy telling me . . ." and got racist about it. Yes, you can be racist without being white. (racist AND otherwise bigoted in this case) The original bartender took my beer and I was not offered a refund or anything for standing up for myself after harassment in their establishment. I took the high road and left and will take my business elsewhere, to more enlightened pastures.

Visited the area and it was, expectedly, raining. Our group needed a spot to relax after a mini hike, and this spot was great to grab some beers at noon on a Saturday and enjoy conversation. Drinks were good and the food menu looked good as well. Definitely would like to come back!

I was ready to give this place 5 stars for convenience when nothing else on Belmont was open, service that was friendly and fast, and very decent bar food. I really appreciated the huge portion size on the salad. But 3/4ths of my way into the BBQ bacon cheeseburger I found a long hair in the sandwich. Very sad. Killed the vibe. Way too busy to speak to wait staff about it. I have mixed feelings because the food was otherwise good.

Anywhere I go in and around Portland, if a place has a burger I will get it and I build my own rankings, the classic burger I got on the evening of 05/31/25 whoever was on the line, hats off to you. Definitely made my top 3 and I will at it to my just looking for a great classic burger list.

bartender not friendly at all. food and food service was good. Over paid $50 and the bartender knows but she's not telling the truth she just hangs up when she doesn't want to talk about it anymore. We have called and talked to her twice about this, just says its not her problem. She never ofers to get manager Hope to hear from manager

I can't say enough about the Belmont Inn. When you turn 21. You want to find your cheers. Decades later I found mine. Megan! Joseph! Chelsea! And the team are absolutely amazing. From watching games, grabbing a burger or hosting a large group the Belmont is my place. I absolutely love love love this place. It doesn't get any better.

I can't after the man/owner of the company reimburse me after the bartender so $50 from me is still employed with the company I came in on one 1/15 /25 she is still employed with this company. This woman needs to be fired. She sold $50 out of my pocket to where the management/owner had to reimburse me every everything that I paid she should not be working in this company. She is a terrible bartender. I was here for 45 minutes and it took 25 minutes for me to even be served. This woman should not be even working at this establishment. I wonder why they couldn't get out of a one or two status on yelp is because of her.

I rang in the new year here last night and had a great time celebrating. There was no cover charge or line to get in unlike a lot of other bars on Belmont St. Chill vibe here and lots of laid back people dressed casually playing pool and drinking. There are some pinball (?) machines as well and some other games in the bar beside pool. There was a good drink selection and everyone counted down to the new year! A few minutes before midnight they gave out complementary champagne :)

Spacious bar with a couple of pool tables and games. Good service. It's chill, a bit divey. I enjoyed my time there.

This place is okay. The issue I have is they threw away my full beer when I went to the bathroom for five minutes. Bar tender dude was unapologetic about it, and didn't offer me another. Also the blonde bartender chick kept skipping songs that we paid for on touch tunes. That's ridiculous, spend money on songs to just have them skipped, not cool.

Wow, never going there again. I'm in the service industry and sometimes want to sit at a bar and get poured a drink. This bartender ignored me sitting at the bar. I first thought it was because he was busy and I waited patiently for him to come and ask what I wanted to drink. (You know, bartender stuff). He served a few people that came up to the spot that you order from if you're sitting at a table but it became very clear that he wasn't going to come to me to take my drink order (again, I was sitting at the bar) when he pulled out his phone and hunched over by the register. So I got up, walked the 2 ft to him and ordered my beer. There were two people, including myself sitting at the bar and maybe a dozen people in the whole bar. This is Portland, lots of dives to choose from. I'll go somewhere else.

I've been to Belmont's a handful of times over the years and it's become a traditional stop on any visit to Portland. It's part dive bar, part sports bar, part local joint - and that's what makes it so charming. The drinks are strong, there's pinball and pool, and plenty of games playing on the TVs if you just want to zone out or be distracted. It's a great place to go solo, as there's always a seat at the bar and the servers are friendly (and make a mean cocktail). Belmont's ain't fancy, but it has the makings of a friendly, unapologetic neighborhood pub and I always look forward to stopping in.

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill over the years. The food is not good, the service is ok. People aren't as nice as they used to be. I guess it's more for people who are stuck up but want to look and act as if they are poor or more urban.

Thank you for having pinball, good service and an excellent view. Nothing is better than a dive bar with a little light and a pinball machine to see the shots I'm making or even missing...

The Belmonts Inn is a centrally located neighborhood bar that is popular with sports fans, pool players, gamblers, stoners, burger lovers, pinball fanatics and friends of daytime drinking. What more could a person want in their local bar? Cheap prices? They have it; $4 micros & meals under $10 They are known for their burgers. I had an order of wings $7 and they were covered in hot sauce and delicious - I will order them again! Most bartenders are very friendly, particularly Bob whom is outstanding! Highly recommended! True story: I'm at Belmont's Inn and they raised all the prices by a .25 cents. I giggled as I bought my next beer that I have never been at a happy hour where the prices went up!

Good prices, strong drinks. What more do you want in a dive bar? I had their food years ago and it was pretty much what you'd expect for a bar menu. They had a decent selection of beers and the crowd was pretty young. They have apparently redone a lot of the inside which feels like it maximizes space a bit more than it used to. I think there were 3 pool tables and several pin ball machines. I like that even though it was packed, they still have plenty of seating for a lot of people. The only major reason for losing a star was the service, while friendly, was pretty slow. I wouldn't call them slammed for a Saturday night, but there were 4 people working behind the bar, yet there was a line of around 4 people... there shouldn't be a line with that many people working all at once. They also weren't encouraging the line to break up or paying attention to who was next, so I noticed that someone came in after the line formed and was served at a break in the bar before the line was. Oh well! But all in all, a great watering hole that's close to a lot of other places in the Belmont neighborhood.

Popped in one night for a few cocktails. Bartender was nice. Seems like a neighborhood bar. I need to go back and try some food! Prices were okay! Just a little bar to enjoy a cocktail or meet friends before the actual night begins.

Just went in today and based on the poor reviews, I'd say this place has either vastly improved or the negative reviews are from people who wouldn't be happy no matter what. Atmosphere is great, pool tables and pinball. Tables (order at the bar) and bar seating. Great music that's not so loud that you can't hear the people you're with. I got their standard cheeseburger with swiss and tater tots (included) to go and had a beer while I waited. The burger was really well priced (especially for the area) and beer on par. The food came out so fast I still had at least half my beer and the bartender and staff that served my food were very courteous. I will note, it wasn't slammed but the bar seating was full and there were a few tables taken. Got home and the burger was HUGE, and easily one of the BEST I've had in a long time! Tots were great, came with a side of ketchup (even though I didn't ask for it) and there was more than I could eat so my pups got a couple of treats each with their dinner. I will 100% be going back very soon! The only thing that would've made the meal better would've been fry sauce with the tots.

C'mon people, don't diss the Belmont Inn. Thursday night Triva is where it's at. I came here last night for some Community trivia and had a blast!!! The beer was a flowing, the service was nice, and we all had a great time. Sure, it's a dive but it adds to the charm. They offer your typical pub grub, burgers, fries, sandwiches...you get the idea. While the food may be on the greasy side, this place get's 4 stars in my book for having Firestone Union Jack IPA on tap- my favorite! They have pinball, pool tables, a couple tv's for your viewing pleasure, and Thursday night triva-of course!

Dropped in here on a weekday afternoon with a couple of buddies to get together for beer and burgers. Aside from the fact that there's no table service, I'd say that this was a pretty generic experience. And I'll correct myself - there wasn't a waitress, but there was slow table service from a distracted bartender. Reflections on meals - my hamburger was a thin hard patty but the flavor of the burger itself was decent. The dozen-or-so tater tots that came with the burger we're slightly over fried, there could have been been three times as many more. Chicken strips guy thought his meal was just okay. Quesadilla guy enjoyed his quesadilla but said that it was lacking substance. Decent meal for what it was but no rush to come back here.

LIGHTWEIGHT DRINKERS like ME, beware, do not visit this place! So I went to Belmont Inn on Monday evening. The bartender was not very nice, but not rude either. She seemed just didn't care with my existence at the bar. I ordered the Cranberry Vodka because they have a $2 Wells special and it was THE STRONGEST Vodka Cran I ever had in my life. I was buzzing about half way through my drink. I didn't remember the conversation that I had with my loved one there. There were all different kind of people visited this place. My only problem was, this place was WAY TOO smoky. But from now on, I know where to go, when I want to get a super stiff drink. Belmont Inn is the place. :).

If the Inn on Belmont were a Super Bowl halftime performance, it would be the Black Eyed Peas and all trillion of their stupid LED lights - annoying, hard to ignore, and derivative of its more talented (bar) predecessors. But it could be worse. You probably won't contract herpes from the bathrooms at Belmont Inn, though I can't really promise that because I am not a medical professional. They serve food, albeit kind of begrudgingly. You have to order food at the bar, and although they'll bring it to your table, they don't like to take additional food orders while they're there. And the dipping sauces come in plastic containers, probably because the dipping sauces are older than Fergie's face. Still, it's better than being the Bruce Springsteen's crotch shot of bars.

Well f*** I love a good Bloody Mary but not served with a side of jerky badittitude. No Dice! This could be exceptional bad service by one bartender or a pattern. I've been many times to the Belmont Inn but I've given it it's 4 lives. Read others reviews, determine for yourself.... I loves me a good dive bar, but you know what? Bad service defended by more than 1 worker with excuses that you should expect bad service because of a pattern of bad service be damned in this town. Good dive bars do not equal shitty ass service or getting reflected upon of personal problems towards other customers. Seriously this is a well paid service industry town with 10 others to replace the shitty servicer (and I do not believe in abusing this by owners of restaurants/bars either but geez). This place is dirty, dive-y and reflected of so by the other dive-y desirous souls who seek the same. Hard to find a good dive in this area honestly, but they are around for other choice diving pleasure (read Triple Nickle/ Watertrough/ Ladds Inn/ Mt Tabor/ Space Room to read a few). This place is known for cooler-then-thou attitude of bartenders who will if they choose you just hang and talk around you while you are ignored for your drink. Just remember great pool gaming to be had here for sure. Great cheap beers to be enjoyed ($2.25 Ninkasi brew!) and expect service to leave you thinking that the bartenders job is more difficult and somehow more deserving of shit-giving-to-customers then your own job. That's right take it, love it, and still leave a tip! If: you are a sadist. If: You want a great burger this is a place for one of those. Grrr... it IS tough to find a good burger. If: You want bad service from people that don't care about service or really even have any pride in the business... well, this is your place. For staff with a history of badditude service (see other reviews), you could go for the experience and YELP away about yours. Or you could just skip the abuse. Damn. One of the worst behaving bars I have been to yet... and not in the good way. I will not be back. Way too many other places to spend my hard earned dough, too many other dive bars to give tips to. I do not review this lightly.

I would say this place thinks it's a little cooler than it is. It's got the pool tables, and lots of TVs, and I think there's a jukebox. But it's a neighborhood bar that's overreached itself. I sat at the (small) bar and waited too long to order my drink, and then for the bartender to come around so I could order my food. It strikes me as a place that's set it self up as (or has become) an attraction for people who don't want to go downtown. I wouldn't say I hate the Belmont Inn (or Belmont's Inn?), but I don't have too many reasons to come here. I should say that the burger was pretty good. The curly fries were overcooked.

I come here to play pinball. Belmont inn is conveniently located close to my house. This is what i make of this establishment: A lively group of people from Gresham, Notorious BIG on the juke at least twice in an hour, the food smells good, I have tried the cheese sticks and I liked them. When I play pinball I need some room. I take a certain stance when I play. My leg goes way out don't ask me why but it works. The patio door is right next to Mars Attacks, which intern causes me to move every time somebody goes in or out. Its not easy playing on the move. I found out the hard way when a woman flew half way across the room tripping over my leg. Don't worry she was ok. I like this place It's not my first choice for a hangout but I will take it.

Disregard my review if you love greasy food and hanging around a dirty bar full of 90% men, mostly over 40. The place is ugly and looks dirty and even FEELS dirty. There is that film of grease that has been soaked up by the dust over the years. When you leave, you will also have that film on your face (minus the dust). Your stomach will hurt cause the food is gross and greasy and you ate way too much cause that is what they gave you. Places that screw up a grilled cheese are no good in my book. It was soooooo greasy and pretty tasteless considering. The tater tots were also too greasy. The fries were just OK. The Belmont Dip was also just OK. If the food was somewhere else, I could maybe deal with it, but between that and the horrible atmosphere, I will definitely not be back. Ever. There are plenty of other places to eat and drink nearby.

When I first moved to Portland in 2005 2006 I used to frequent this establishment quite regularly Nothing super special typical bar food but hey chicken fingers with Frank's red hot sauce and fresh cut french fries sometimes is just the perfect meal I have a lot of TVs video poker jukebox pool tables and a local hangout seen her probably even score some marijuana if you need to after midnight

Yup - it's a dive. In fact, it's SUCH a dive that it still smells of stale smoke. Surprising ...and kind of gross. However, the beers were cheap. The appetizers were fried, and I love me some fried...anything. Also, their veggie burgers weren't too bad honestly. I'd like to say any place that serves tater tots, jalapeno mozzarella sticks, and poppers can't be all that bad. But the smell of the old smoke is pretty bad. Yucky actually. Plus, they leave the back door open, while people are apparently smoking outside and I think the smoke by osmosis rushes back into the bar as quickly as they exhale. Maybe, I wouldn't notice if I made this a last stop instead of a first one.

Isn't it funny how the crappy places stay vividly in your mind? Located here, is Not a dive bar I would ever willingly go into again. So on a night of Bachelorette party hijinks, our drinking Bingo game led us to the door. The guy at the door was cool and I think that was about it. We got a table next to some fishy smelling guy and set about to order the Bride-to-be a drink. This is where awkward takes freaking nose dive south. What the hell is with the random 4 dolls haphazardly stuck to the ceiling?! Avoiding eye contact with the freaky brides of Chucky, we assessed the menu. Meh.. At least there was a selection. It wasn't hard to miss how Mr. Bartender started bitching about "drunkards" after we couldn't tell him how to make an Alabama Slammer. And after he did a little Google action, we got the drink (as a shot) that would make Robitussin taste divine. Our glasses of water (quantity of 3) for the DD's were reluctantly given with a dirty look and deep sigh from Mr. Bartender. Perhaps it was his dolls that were tacked up on ceiling and the bitterness couldn't be contained. Giving the Bride-to-Be a Jager bomb we got the hell out of there.

I've spent more money here than any other Portland establishment. Then again, all the fun I had here at "Belmont's Livingroom" did prompt me to sober up for a year... :) BEST burgers in town! Every time, be they beef, chicken, or garden burgers, it's a "Nailed It!" Good fun *because* it's rowdy. BEST pub quiz in Portland on Thursday nights. GREAT place to watch a sports game.

The Belmont Inn is a dive but a loveable dive. One of the waitresses/bartenders there (Liz) is incredible. She goes above and beyond and is just friggin' hilarious. The food is typical bar fare and tastes just like you'd expect. Happy hour is cheap and the burgers are big. I've been here on numerous occasions for Trivia and have always had a great time.

I had a good experience. However, know this. I was only inside for 5 minutes in order to fulfill a specific task. House shots are only $2. Amazing. And they're generous shots. They have free pool on thursdays after 9 and all day Sunday. I saw at least 5 pool tables. I will be back, at least to play some pool and have a cheap drink.

Ok, so this place is nothing fancy, and I like that. And they do make delicious Bloody Mary's. I've also had a few delicious hamburgers but honestly, they are not very consistent. It's not someplace I really hang out, but I'm glad it exists. It's full of locals and people that have been coming here a long time. From reading the other reviews, It's almost as if Portland would like to eradicate everything that doesn't seem "clean"or closely resembling the real world. Hmmm, now that's not keeping Portland very weird is it?

Belmont Inn is nothing special. Not saying I don't go there from time to time. It's alright to watch a game. The food is mediocre at best. the bar has a ton of outlets for charging your phone or w/e. its surrounded by a lot of yuppier upscale bars so its an oddly refreshing downgrade.

This place is cozy, with super kind staff, a phenomenal tap list, and surprisingly tasty bar food. Try the totchos - they are a full meal for two people. The West Coast burger is also a solid choice. The pinball is the real draw here, though. The tables are well maintained and they have some great picks.

Crackheads go here. And tweakers too. But that's the fun of the place. Loads of decent pool tables, really good players, stiff fairly cheap drinks and barstools inhabited by local drunks and wannabe tough guys. Probably the best representation of a Beantown bar in PDX, although I'm not from Beantown but thats what it seems like. Basically you can have two types of nights here: A really fun one where you and your buds get hammed and play some stick while ogling chicks. OR A night where your buddy gets punched in the face for accidentally bumping into some dude (true story) and you have a yelling match with some veined-out aggro hippy (another night). Good times.

Had a nice time drinking a couple of beers after work. I met some regular customers, one of which brought in snacks to share with the bar. He just purchased some miscellaneous Pepperidge Farm goldfish and set them out onto saucers. I guess....one of those small-towne behaviors. The Belmont Inn is a favorite dive among locals. TVs, Pinball, friendly servers. Lottery. I had two beers: A Hard Knocks xtra Pale ---- very new brewery from Cottage Grove, OR. Good beer, very dry pale. They have 20 taps, mostly local Beers and Ciders and two Nitro Offerings. The Migration Red on Nitro looks interesting. Mostly filled with working class folks - comfortable and cozy. I didn't have food. I was so filled up from the Goldfish and Pirouette's. I've seen few things offered. The Hot Wings look like a winner. I was tempted by the sauce - I had a little sample, tangy and hot. Many years ago it was called Belmont's Inn - perhaps to reflect the INN of the Neighborhood, now, the prominent Yellow Sign is Belmont Inn.

The bartender was friendly and our orders were fast, but it wasn't anything that blew me away. I wouldn't go out of my way to make this a pit stop. it had a very mixed crowd of people who were chatting amongst themselves at tables, to overly drunk people shooting pool. I like this area in general when I visit Portland, but Belmont's Inn wasn't my cup of tea. However on the plus side, they do have real ginger ale so I was able to get a very yummy drink. And they have a very interesting twist to mozzarella sticks, the jalapenos mozzarella sticks. Nice hint of spice, might come back in the day time just for them. :p

My fav neighborhood bar! Pool, great bartenders and "interesting" people there. The big bouncer doorman is always very friendly. Great specials on happy hour drinks & food. Better than average bar food. Packed for trivia. Good jukebox, lots of seating. Plenty of TVs for sports, if you're into that. Oh, but the bathroom sucks - I think I have shoe boxes bigger than that little shit hole (heh, pun intended).

Pool and stiff drinks guaranteed This is a good joint to play pool and for good stiff drinks. I'd call it a classic, neighborhood pub, but not sure you'll feel at home here unless you're a regular. The crowd can be a bit on the rough side, but the service is friendly and fast. Sometimes all you need in a pub is a lot of good pool tables, and this place definitely has that. It's refreshing when you can actually find an open table, which we did here.

Horrible service. We even sat right next to bartender and rarely got service. Seems like a cool spot to go but don't. Every time I've been people who work there don't give a f**k about there job or you as the customer. Don't go there!!

I only come here for Sunday ticket. i don't mind the dive atmosphere to watch football. The annoying part is the bartender. I don't know how she does it, but she manages to keep her voice at an unbearable yell for up to six hours straight. She obviously feels that she is the center of attention and is annoying as hell. Her voice stabs like an icepick through your eardrum. Meanwhile, she will make sure all the t.v. monitors are inaudible. If you can even remotely hear the game- she will turn it down and scream, "it's too loud!!!" I will note that she has also screwed up my food order twice. Don't get me started on the kitchen service. While the food is passable, the cook is a complete tardo. He is 3/3 when it comes to bringing me my pancakes with no effing knife. He is a tall lanky and dirty individual who occasionally wonders out of the kitchen and right in front of a screen at a key moment in the game. Thanks dirt bag. At least he's a little better than the short yo boy cook with the sideways hat. Hey...your hat is on crooked. I really wish that someone would break through the screen and put these characters on the DL.
