The 35 Best Restaurants in Porto, Portugal | Eater

"Argentinian chef Mauricio Ghiglione brings the smoky flavors of his homeland to the parrilla (grill) at Belos Aires, now at a new location in the buzzy Baixa neighborhood. He incorporates Portuguese products, such as sea bass with carrots and thyme, but the real highlights of the menu are the meats, especially the chorizo and rib-eye. If you come craving Argentinian classics, know that Ghiglione also prepares amazing empanadas and a spectacular dulce de leche flan. The restaurant now has a sister venue right on the sand at Praia da Aguda, with views of the Atlantic and a focus on fish and seafood grilled over the parrilla. Must-try dish: Lemon-seasoned sweetbreads with crispy fried cassava." - Rafael Tonon

Amazing food and friendly staff. I do not say this often, but we had the best dinner in a long time here. The meat just melts on your tongue, salades are superb and the desert, wow. Go and see for yourself!

Good food/drinks in a nice atmosphere. Our server, Clayton, was great - attentive and helpful with suggestions on what to order. The pumpkin ravioli and strip steak were great, as well as the empanadas.

The food was delicious but waited about 20 minutes (after having asked 3 waiters/waitress) to have some ice-cream for dessert.

Steak: 6.5/10. Drinks: 9/10. Pasta: 7/10. Sweet potato side: 8/10... I eat a lot of beef at home in Canada. I make my own steak twice per week, typically. This one was just alright. I got a strip. The inside was cooked near perfectly. However, not a great sear and no real crust on it. Additionally, too much white fat on the side that was not rendered down. Basically, inside was cooked well but the outside was a letdown. Side was good. Pasta was alright (my partner had it). And the drinks were very good.

We had an awesome meal here. The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with selections of food and wine. Such a delight. Good sized portions as well so turn up hungry. Highly recommend if it’s Argentinian inspired food and wine you are after.

What a fantastic restaurant! The staff are standing especially the Manager, she couldn't have been more helpful accommodating our group of 18, including my father who is 92! The staff were kind enough to move the entire group downstairs so he wouldn't have go up and down the stairs, which for a small restaraunt is outstanding. Excellent food! Highly recommend Belos Aires

The original restaurant we wanted to go to didn't have an earlier time so we went to plan B. So glad we did! It was amazing! I think a reservation is probably prudent but we didn't visit during peak tourist season so probably could have gotten away with not doing it. We were promptly seated. The service speak English but I would be mindful of taking it slow so you're understood. I had the beef empanada while my other half had the beef capacio as a starter. He had the ossobuco with polenta as main and I had the ribeye steak but opted for a salad due to a late lunch. For dessert we shared the brownie, not because we were still hungry but to you some thoughts 😂 The food was generous and tasted amazing! Please do give them a visit. I think price wise it was also value for money. I would certainly swing by again if I was in the neighborhood. This place has thumbs up all round!

Very good option for Argentinian food in Porto. Amazing ambiance, staff, drinks, and starters. Couldn’t give 5 stars as the meat was “good” but not amazing. It’s a nice steak, but expected more for an Argentinian steakhouse
