"Below Zero is an Italian/Argentinian scoop shop on the outskirts of MiMo. It’s easy to miss from the street (and is pretty much just an ice cream display case inside) but the ice cream here is very good. They have classic flavors like rum raisin and mint chocolate chip as well as more interesting options like stracciatella, cannoli, and a perfectly balanced banana dulce de leche. There are other good desserts in the freezer too, like frozen alfajores and mini ice cream cakes." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

"Banana Dulce De Leche Ice Cream This week, I’m updating our ice cream guide in time for summer. And the Italian/Argentinian spot Below Zero is joining the list. This little scoop shop on the outskirts of MiMo is easy to miss from the street (and not much to look at inside either). However, the ice cream here is very good, and they have some great flavors like stracciatella, cannoli, and a perfectly balanced banana dulce de leche. There were other good desserts here too, like frozen alfajores and mini ice cream cakes. I still have half a frozen alfajor and a pint of stracciatella in my freezer, and I’m counting down the minutes until it’s a socially acceptable hour to eat both." - ryan pfeffer, carlos c olaechea

This place is a hidden gem. I showed up expecting normal ice cream, but I was blown away. They make all the ice cream in small batches in house. Everything we tried was top notch!

I went with my boyfriend when they were almost closed and the owner let us in. We found out that he makes all the ice cream and he let us try the flavors we wanted. He was extremely nice with us and the ice cream was delicious! Probably one of the best I've had in Miami. Definitely coming back✌

We just discovered this ice cream shop. Their ice cream is made in-house. I’ve tried the Mango y Maracuya it was excellent. The owner very approachable. Highly recommended

Very inviting and unpretentious place that has really great South American ice cream flavors. This is where you should go if you want unique flavors but still a clean high quality ice cream without a million mix ins. The mango maracuya was especially good!

Personalized recipes from the owner, Gavi! He loves what he does and makes the ice cream fresh every Monday and Friday. Told us he used to own an ice cream parlor in Argentina and evolved those recipes into this Little Haiti store. You get lots of ice cream for the price. Very affordable. Go support local business!!
