The 17 Best Restaurants in Dakar, Senegal | Eater

"Le Beluga brings a taste of Peru to the heart of Dakar. The menu includes an array of ceviches and other seafood dishes depending on the catch of the day, but look for the ceviche criollo with aji amarillo (yellow Peruvian chile pepper) and anything with the restaurant’s truffle sauce. Salmon is a consistent star across the rest of the menu; try the spicy grilled salmon or the salmon poke with avocado and soy sauce." - Yasmine Fofana

This was a very pleasant spot to be introduced to. The interior of the space is very well done, although there is a portion of it close to the kitchen that gets a bit smoky. We were a large party and we were handled excellently. The food in my pictures below are all of what I enjoyed. There was more but I was too busy easy to take photos. I go a gin basil as a cocktail and although it was a bit plain looking in presentation, the flavor was not. Definitely the sort of dining experience to order as much as possible and share! It created the perfect ambiance for friends.

WOW!! Wonderful and amazing food, service and setting. Menu offerings include many savory options for most tastes. The steaks are high quality cuts served on a charcoal hibachi. Seafood also high quality and cooked perfectly. All sides tried were also very well done. Great wine selection as well as liquors and mixed drinks. Highly recommend this establishment for an amazing, relaxing meal and respite from the busy streets of Dakar. The only down side to this restaurant is the price but…you get what pay for here.

Lovely place to dine in Dakar. The food was good and so was the service. I recommend booking in advance as they get really busy. Try the cocktails!!

Fantastic ambience even on a Monday raining night, pretty good cheerful.service.. the food was good..Enjoyed several sugar cane free Pisco cocktails.. ..but .. we had Sushi ... and the wasabi...oh the wasabi was no where near any decent wasabi.. it just didnt hit the nostrils ..let alone brain freeze... and the dips were a let down too..the sweet, too sweet and the salty ..too salty.. just killed the the sushis which were by themselves really briliant.. .. The yellow tail starter was to die for , guacamole - out of the world,... will definitely come back.. just hope they get the wasabi/dip act together. For a vegan turned ocassional pescitarian.. I enjoyed myself (well almost).

Decent food selection in a nice and cozy environment. The prices are on the high side, with some prices being a little ridiculous. However the quality is there and I particularly enjoyed my dessert.

Loved this place, the food is delicious and the ambience is nice. I recommend to take a table in the rooftop because the music can be loud. Be patient because the service can be very slow!
