McDonald’s and Starbucks Tweet About Social Justice, But Fail Employees | Eater

"The ice cream maker threw down a Cherry Garcia–flavored gauntlet with the decisive proclamation “We must dismantle white supremacy,” followed by a blog post arguing that George Floyd’s death was not a single “bad apple” incident but the predictable outcome of a racist system; it included four policy-oriented calls to action aimed at lawmakers. The statement read more like an activist manifesto than typical corporate copy, earning overwhelming praise online—tens of thousands of likes on Facebook and hundreds of thousands on Twitter—and was hailed as genuine allyship due to the company’s long track record of speaking out on Black Lives Matter and criminal justice reform and the progressive civic profile of its co-founders, who remain closely associated with the brand despite selling the business to a multinational in 2000." - Jenny G. Arrested Development’s Buster Bluth Gave Away Banana Sundaes in Burbank | Eater LA

"A limited 90-minute pop-up at a Burbank ice-cream shop drew long lines as actor Tony Hale (best known as Buster Bluth) handed out the show-themed Bluth Banana Stand Sundae, scooping with a prosthetic arm as a playful nod to a scene in which the character loses his hand. Fans received souvenir hats and pins reading “Make America Bluth Again,” sampled a sundae Hale described as vanilla ice cream topped with bananas, peanuts, whipped cream and chocolate, and celebrated the Netflix series’ fifth-season launch. The promotion runs for one month and the sundae is also being offered at 55 locations nationwide." - Mona Holmes

Google
The ice cream was so fresh and delicious The people working there were very friendly , and the prices were not bad at all. Definitely a great place to enjoy a sweet treat

Google
Amazing experience at Ben & Jerry’s Burbank! The staff was super kind, professional, and helpful with flavor choices. Tried Chocolate Fudge Brownie—delicious! Clean shop, fast service, and a welcoming vibe. Highly recommend and will return!

Google
Good old Ben & Jerry ice cream, where you can never go wrong on a hot day. Due to the whole covid situation, they closed the dine in experience and it's still closed after California relax on the restriction. They have hand sanitizer for you to use and they allow you to eat outside of the store. The employees are friendly and still give you sample to try on the different flavors. You have to basically part in the parking structure or you can park where the Burbank mall is and just walk to this place. I park at the Police Station since they have public parking and it's easier to get into while also easier to leave as well.

Google
Hello, so on August 15, I went to this Ben and Jerry’s, and I was ordering my as usual, when the lady taking my order whispered something under her breath about me. I asked what she said and she refused to tell me and ignored my question. I was asking for her name and she wouldn’t tell me it and she told me that she was the manager. Ice cream was good but lady was rude

omar A.

Google
Someone with piercings around their mouth was very very rude. If you want to lose customers and business, keep this guy working, or put him back into training. Horrible customer service.

Alanna L.

Google
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles and excellent service. The staff was super helpful and patient while I sampled a couple of flavors — they really know their ice cream! The selection of flavors is fantastic, with all the classic favorites and some fun, unique options. I went with the classic Chunky Monkey, and it was as creamy and delicious as I remembered. My friend tried the Half Baked, and it was a perfect combo of brownie and cookie dough goodness. The shop itself was clean, well-maintained, and had a cheerful atmosphere. It’s also in a great location, perfect for grabbing a scoop while strolling around Burbank. They even have some great dairy-free options, which is a huge plus. If you’re in the area and craving something sweet, Ben & Jerry’s Burbank is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Google
Just took my boy to Ben & Jerry’s for his 16th birthday before he heads off for real into the partier lifestyle almost all 16 yr olds go through. They got all the nicest, most delicious flavors, and toppings. Unfortunately, some of the staff were quite rude to my boy to the point where I had to say something, and they tried not honoring my coupons at first. Still, while this behavior is unacceptable and the normal prices are pretty steep their ice cream can’t be beat.

Brittany

Google
It's just not worth it! We paid $20 for 2 cones. Mine was a sprinkle cone with 2 scoops and my husbands was a regular cone with one scoop. $20 plus the machine asks to add tip. Just really overpriced and the ice cream wasn't that good! Go to Baskin!

Yelp
Summer ice cream fix, but make it non-dairy Popped in to cool off before the movies in Downtown Burbank, a beat away from the AMC 16 and it was clearly where the party was. Ben & Jerry's of Burbank was busy in the best way and the one person server on duty was doing it all and then some. They still need a little TLC in area with some natural wear and tear to corners, tables, water stains from the ceiling and really minor things, but have great service and a variety of options for everyone. Today I went instantly to my favorite, the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, so good in it's non-dairy goodness. Vanilla meets gods of chocolate chips, fudge flakes and perfection. The Mochaccino Chip will definitely be in my near future as summer is still here for a little bit longer and us LA peeps know the heat lingers until late October. That said you can and should enjoy ice cream anytime of year :) And B&Js has all the classic, dairy-free and sorbet needs and wants. Still beat the heat at this creamery 7 days a week from 1pm to close daily (9pm Sunday through Thursday and until 10pm on Friday, Saturday). Parking in DT Burbank is fairly easy with free parking garages and street parking, but can be a journey on weekends, especially when the the whether is ideal or they have the night market just outside of Ben & J's

Yelp
This was my first to Ben & Jerry's in Burbank. It didn't disappoint at all. I was greeted the minute I walked in with a smile. I felt so welcomed. Young lady who helped me( I think her name was Andrea) was very patient and provided outstanding customer service. She was patient and explained the flavors, made suggestions and even told me the ingredients. She also asked if I liked chocolate and based on that she made recommendations to make my ordering process easier. I really appreciate her effort and patience in providing customer service. For my ice cream, I can say it was one of the best ones I had. I picked mostly chocolate flavors which was a great choice since it turned out to be so yummy. For ambiance, this location has couple of tables inside and there are seats available outside. This store was really cleaned and well maintained. Tables were clean both inside and outside. For parking, there are public parking and street parking available. Also, this location is within walking distance of Burbank Mall.

Yelp
Update: I appreciate the owner responding and explaining the reasons behind the bowl and straw choices. I do want to note: the straw is not made for shakes; it's made for soda. I suggest getting larger straws. Even your employees noted they were too small for shakes and suggested I go to the Boba store to get a real straw. Original post: Stopped in to enjoy some ice cream. Great customer service. However the place could be disinfected. In addition, after receiving my shake I was informed they have the world's thinnest straws. No kidding. Went to the nearby boba to get a real straw. Also, what's up with this franchise? No logo bowls? Just one from Smart & Final. Cheap. We won't be back.

Yelp
I think there was some cross-contamination happening here with the ice cream scoop. My strawberry cheesecake ice cream had some peppermint flavor. Otherwise, this is a convenient location just outside of the mall with ample seating.
google avatar

Yelp
Great location in downtown Burbank. This is a small place, but the line moves rather quickly and the place is clean. They let you try out different flavors and this location has plenty of flavor options. Good ice cream, friendly service, and very convenient location. My go to flavor is Phish Food- it has chocolate fish and fudge and marshmallow goo. Plenty of interior table seating.

Yelp
Sat to wait for my daughter to meet after school and I "couldn't sit here" I was sitting for maybe 2 mins. So I go order so I could sit and wait for my daughter, and when I get to the register "sorry cant accept a bill that large."
google avatar

Leslie L.

Yelp
The ice cream was really tasty. The price is just way overpriced! We paid almost $10 for one scoop of ice cream! The scoop was so small too. I loved the flavor but sadly the price was too much for the amount we got.
google avatar

Lisa P.

Yelp
I love this place! The staff is friendly and willing to assist. Andrea is super friendly. We were able to sample some Ice cream. The facility is nice is clean.
google avatar

Yelp
They provide exceptional service and delicious ice cream. Everything about this experience is great.

Robert R.

Yelp
We used to stop here for a happy treat after the movies, that is until their pricing became ridiculously high for tiny little servings compared to all of the other retailer ice cream stores in the area which are reasonably priced for generous servings. Most recently, when we complained about a hair stuck to the scoop, the employee simply replaced the scoop of ice cream without apologizing.
google avatar

Yelp
Every year my daughter asked for the same ice cream cake for her birthday and every year the staff at this location handles everything perfectly and are very friendly. Yaz especially
google avatar

Cosmo W.

Yelp
There are 3 other ice cream shops in this area, but I prefer Ben & Jerry's. They have a large selection of creamy deliciousness, the staff are quick and very friendly and the servings are generous. Plus, their ice cream is so delicious. It is also so nice to sample their flavors without having to buy a full quart at the grocery! I generally eat dinner at one of the many restaurants in the area, and then stop by here on the way back for a cold and creamy dessert- you can't go wrong!

Priscilla F.

Yelp
Classic! What can go wrong? Ice cream was great service was okay. The inside was very cute and had really cool tables.

Yelp
My friend and I wanted to grab a pint after going to Barney's... tell me why a pint is $11!!!!! In stores it's $6!!!!! What an absolute joke of a rip off.

Yelp
So here's the thing: Pros: 1. good ice cream 2. staff is friendly 3. clean environment that is family friendly in a really convenient spot. Cons: 1. horrible price now unfortunately which is king imo. a. example: a SMALL scoop is now $8.00 which is CRAZY. 2. ask for tip No matter how good the service or how clean the establishment is today was my last time visiting after paying $8.00 for a single scoop (plus tip)

Yelp
This is my first time at this location and it's located near a lot of restaurants in downtown Burbank. It has been so long since I've been to a Ben and Jerry's so it was nice being back in one but wow it's gotten super pricey since the last time i stepped inside a location. They gave so many flavors and it was the hardest choice i ever had to make but ultimately went for a flavor i never had before but i forgot the name of it. This location only has outdoor seating which is nice but it was too cold to sit outside. I wish they had set up tables inside during the colder months. I had just finished eating dinner and i wanted dessert but didn't know what flavor to get and the workers were very helpful with what flavors they recommend for a lighter flavor but all the lighter flavors are the most common flavors lol and i didn't feel rushed at all which was nice but too bad they're not allowing samples due to COVID.
google avatar

Jissel M.

Yelp
This place has the best ice cream, although it is on the pricey side and two scoops will cost you almost 10 bucks. I got the pecan and the cookies and cream which was delicious. We were greeted by a nice staff member who let us take our time to look at the menu and options in front of us. They gave us great service. The dining area is quite simple but it gives it character. There are some cool paintings on the walls and it is spacious, nice to hang out and eat your frozen dairy delight. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
(Tookout 07/19/20 SU @ 2:45pm): Ben & Jerry have been annual family members of mine for years but wished they offered a kama'aina discount! Over the past decade or so, I've snacked at this Ben & Jerry's Burbank location during the annual MDA Fill The Boot fundraising campaign in association with local firefighters and donated graciously. However, on this particular afternoon, it was dessert time after lunch with a bunch of Yelp friends at nearby Gordon Biersch... and I actually paid this time. Back in the day, I frequented their long-gone Glendale location and enjoyed the company of friends with a creative scoop of ice cream. Was the experience just as good paying compared to donating for my sweet cold treat!? PURCHASE 3-Scoop Large Cup ($7.25) https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=iFMOhY2Tl_uNlYXb53hMlg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw Justice Remix'd: A mix of cinnamon and chocolate ice creams with gobs of cinnamon bun dough & spicy fudge brownies... all you needed to know was "cinnamon", "chocolate", and "brownies" - 'nuff said! Cannoli: Mascarpone ice cream with fudge-covered cannoli pastry shell pieces and mascarpone swirls... this Italian delight was "molto bene"! Salted Caramel Blondie: Sweet cream ice cream with blonde brownies & a salted caramel swirl... anything salted caramel always pleased me! Needless to say, this was a tantalizing trifecta on my tastebuds albeit a somewhat pricey one! SERVICE During these COVID-19 days, they had Plexiglass safety measures between the staff and customers. The lone friendly young female patiently waited for us to place our respective orders as she efficiently gathered scoops for our group of desserters. I believed they went cashless to also minimize human contact which was fine by me (I'm all about a cashless world!). Mere minutes between each order, she had us in and out rather quickly. Thanks for the wonderful service! PARKING (FREE) Plenty of parking stalls in the attached multilevel structure associated with the downtown Burbank Media Center along with a ton of street parking along the main drag of San Fernando Rd. and other surrounding side streets and parking structures - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE Due to COVID-19, the spacious indoor dining area was empty of all chairs and tables while the ubiquitous calming baby blue painted walls welcomed you into a cloudless sky of ice cream bliss https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=VjVik66hmVU-B0fdc0v1eA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Immediately in front of you were the display ice cream cases with a divider Plexiglass for everyone's communicating safety with an easily legible menu up on the wall https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=AbDoo7C2w1BxhC9trLGOMA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Plenty of natural lighting came through the glass windows and front door while standard electric ceiling lights covered the rest. I couldn't recall any TVs although music played in the background. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL This Burbank Ben & Jerry's location was perfectly situated outside a multiplex, several restaurants, in the line of fire of constant foot traffic, and I certainly was a fan of it and the brand as a whole. The prices weren't cheap, but the standard and rotating fun flavors always kept you on your toes while the service was always very good. But it was hard to fork over this kind of money when I was able to purchase a 1.5qt. carton of my favorite Thrifty's Ice Cream, so this was definitely a treat for me. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $7.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Yelp
I got Ben & Jerry's ice cream yesterday. I got a scoop of Strawberry Cheesecake and a scoop of Chocolate Fudge Brownie in a Dipped Waffle Cone. The ice cream was delicious as was the cone. Service was good.

Yelp
Ben & Jerry's hosts a "Free Cone Day" once a year. They send emails out at least once a month starting in January. It was today. It says they are open online until 8 p.m. We arrived at 7:40, 20 minutes before they close. We are stopped by a woman at the front saying that they are not allowing anyone else to get in line for the free cones. I asked why, and she said that there is a line (I estimated about 12 people), and it will take 20 minutes to serve them. I said, "I'm here with my family 20 minutes before closing, not 5 minutes before closing," and again asked to get in line. She refused, and then, in a spectacular display of ignorance, said, "You could have come earlier." I work until 6 p.m., and my kids are in school, and my son had a class tonight. My son had a class tonight, and it ended at 7:15 p.m. In addition to their snotty attitude, false advertising, and subpar customer service, Ben & Jerry's also has dishonest business practices, as they've never turned away anyone who's paying for ice cream if they arrive 20 minutes before closing.

Yelp
Ben and Jerry's is a staple from my childhood and I'm so glad they still have a location in Burbank! The staff is super sweet and there is plenty of seating. Very comfortable space to sit with friends and family and catch up. The wide array of flavors makes it a great ice cream shop! There is also a bunch of flavors in pints ready to buy. They also have a bunch of cakes in case you need one for an event. Overall, I love this Ben and Jerry's and I will be back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
I love cookies so I got a pint size amount of the cookie dough icecream. My friend got the small cup which was around $5 and my pint was about $10.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with Ben & Jerry's! This walkable location downtown Burbank is very convenient if you're out at dinner or out on the town. Late night waffle cone with Change the Whirled non-dairy frozen dessert really hit the spot on my sugar craving :) it was convenient to try out this flavor at a scoop shop instead of buying a whole pint (spoiler: this flavor is awesome). Aside from location not much sets this spot apart from other Ben & Jerry's scoop shop locations.
google avatar

S Alicia S.

Yelp
Ben & Jerry Pints are cheaper in the convenience & grocery stores... However, I live near an ice cream shoppe. I bought non-dairy. Specialty with a good variety like six to eight choices, which isn't everywhere. Environmentally conscious company. Friendly service. I tried a spoonful of the cinnamon buns. It was like a creamy cinnamon bun. Maybe, I could add crushed pecans. Mmhhh hmmm.
google avatar

Tina L.

Yelp
Delicious!!!! Pretty good options and I wish they'd stock up more on the weekends though & have more dairy free options!!
google avatar

Kristofer N.

Yelp
Ben and Jerry's is what it is. We all know their classic flavors, because they've been around forever. This Ben and Jerry's location has also been in Burbank forever. I remember coming here when I was young, and all throughout high school. The shop has been remodeled over the years, but the one problem that I've always had is that the temperature inside the shop itself is very hot! No matter what the temperature is outside, it's at least 10-15 degrees hotter inside. They do have two entrances, and the doors are wide open all the time, so I don't believe they ever turn on their AC. The ice cream itself is good. They do keep the ice cream at very warm temperature (most likely to make it easier for the workers that are scooping) but along with the warm climate of the store, your ice cream is fast melting, the minute you get your scoop. They have all their classic flavors, plus whatever the new monthly flavor is. The prices are a little high since it is Ben and Jerry's, and nowadays there are so many great artisanal shops to choose from, but if you're craving some "Cherry Garcia" "Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough" "Phish Food" or "Chunky Monkey" this is the place. I personally love Cherry Garcia, and that is what keeps me coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Our waffle cones were stale and the Tonight Dough wasn't as good as I remember it. We were really looking forward to dessert after dinner but oh well. Friendly service though.

Yelp
As far as bad decisions go, I suppose driving out of our way to purchase mediocre and incredibly overpriced ice cream (over $6.50 for a SMALL) isn't the worst decision you could make. But it's still a rookie move. If I'm going to pay that much for ice cream, I want some exceptional and locally made stuff, and a large amount of it too. Save your money and just buy a pint of your favorite ice cream at Ralph's or something. Ice cream from here was non-descript, especially the sweet cream and cookies - quite bland unfortunately. Very few non-dairy options as well. Also, wooden spoons. These fall in the nails on a chalkboard category for me. And $2 extra if you want just a simple waffle cone. Additionally, no restroom for customers, and the nearby parking is a congested mess. No. No.

gibbs c.

Yelp
I usually get my ice cream in a cup. But today i got my ice cream in a cone. The cone was old stale and chewy for some reason.
google avatar

Daniel B.

Yelp
Owner complained about my last review, and Yelp removed it because they deemed it vague. Well, let me elucidate on the issue further, Ben and Jerry. It's really simple: Price(Ben and Jerry's) plus quality(Ben and Jerry's) is less than Ben and Jerry's frozen offerings and grocery store (price x quality) less than price(baskin robins plus quality (baskin robins ) which is less than Price(salt and straw ) plus quality (salt and straw) Those sections at the grocery store ; you know with those customized signature celebrity branded flavors? Yes, on occasion they hit their beats, but they're cheaper and you receive more -- and at a more reasonable price! Ben and Jerry's doesn't offer the same variety as Baskin Robins (51 flavors) and sure as hell cannot live up to Salt and Straws mom 'n pop roots blossoming to be Crowned the forerunner for delicious handmade ice cream. Plus , it's expensive. Five dollars for a cone? Baskin and robins literally offers the same thing, and on certain days like Tuesday for instance, they offer cones for a buck fifty !
google avatar

Steven C.

Yelp
As one previous reviewer referenced, it's mediocre and incredibly overpriced ice cream; $15.93 for two small scoops of ice cream and one waffle cone, in addition to a "scoop shop team member" having the audacity to ask for a tip at the time of payment. Total of $18.10. Mind boggling and ridiculous. The business owner justifies it being expensive because they're all about "Fair Trade, GMO Free, less air (more cream, cage free eggs and other good stuff), and have the biggest chunks and swirls in the business." I could care less about any of that. What I care about is a consistent product at a fair price. This store offered neither, the scoop of ice cream I received was disappointing at best (Mint Chunk) and did not live up to the Ben & Jerry's brand you find at your local grocery store. Oh, and how about you pay your employees a fair wage ($15 an hour minimum) so they don't have to "hustle" customers for tips. Do yourself a favor and head to your nearest Ralphs' or Vons, pick up a pint for $4.50 and have a much better experience, and a whole lot more ice cream for the price.
google avatar

J.K. G.

Yelp
Will not be returning here. The ice cream is completely overpriced, only one vegan ice-cream flavor was available when the website shows two, and the customer service by the young woman working there on a Friday afternoon was terrible. I asked for a kid sized ice-cream because I only wanted a small amount. Instead of telling me this size didn't exist, she gave me a small, which was a tiny scoop of ice cream for $5.99. I asked if they had toppings and she gave me a tiny amount of walnuts for an additional $.85, without telling me there was an extra charge for it (doesn't state there is an extra charge on the menu board either). I personally don't want to spend $6.84 for the amount of ice cream shown pictured here, no matter how much the manager states what high quality product it is (Burbank location and the Long Beach location Yelp responses are almost word for word trying to validate the reason for the high prices "We know we're pricey...Fair Trade, GMO free, less air (more cream, cage-free eggs, and lots of other good stuff) the biggest chunks and swirls in the business." Instead of writing copy/paste responses, try listening to the customers and do something about the issues they're having. Have a smaller kid size available, offer a larger vegan selection, and train your employees to act like they care when customers are there, instead of acting annoyed.
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Flavor is okay, per children. The reason for my 1 star is the price and volume of the scoop. We payed $19 for 1 regular cone, 2 cups all single scoops, walked out feeling ripped off. Not sure how Ben & Jerry's is still in business charging these kinds of prices. Embarrassing...
google avatar

Natalie W.

Yelp
Bizarre that this place doesn't offer samples. I've been to quite a few ice cream shops in recent months that have all provided samples safely. The whole point of going to an ice cream shop is to be able to try the flavors so you can build your perfect combo. Especially one like this B&J's franchise; It is way over priced and you can find all their flavors at grocery stores for a fraction of the cost. I'll just go to a Vons and buy a few pints and a pack of waffle cones for about the same price as one 2 scoop cone at this establishment.
google avatar

Arthur T.

Yelp
We stopped by to get some ice cream for the kids and some of the adults. Line moved pretty quickly and location was pretty clean. Only problem was no restroom for customers but wasn't a deal breaker. They have plenty of selections but you need to make sure you have a favorite here unless you won't be too happy. Also little shocked with 4 child servings in a waffle cone ended up almost $30. Kinda steep for ice cream but hopeful they use quality ingredients.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Went here for Free Cone Day the line was at least 60 people and it moved faster than I expected it to. This is because Burbank Fire department was there behind the counter helping in the scooping process to fund raise for Muscular Dystrophy. But... it could also be the fact that if you took longer than 30 seconds to decide on your flavor you were "wall of shamed" on Instagram. Good job Ben & Jerry's for still giving out freebies, when you know your flavors are so good people would buy anyways.
google avatar

Amanda Q.

Yelp
The blonde girl with glasses working tonight was kinda rude. Although the ice cream was good, she left a bad taste in my mouth.
google avatar

Rachel M.

Yelp
It's not bad ice cream, it's just really overpriced. When you walk in on a hot evening for cool ice cream and the store itself is unbearably hot, it's not exactly refreshing. If friends asked me to I would come back but otherwise it won't be my first choice
google avatar

Cassandra Y.

Yelp
FREE birthday one scoop ice-cream. Sign up on their website!! This location is right on the downtown Burbank. Very close to the AMC theater. The store is very clean & well maintained. 2 staffs are on duty. Very friendly service. Good customer service! Love the Monkey Chunky ice-cream, creamy banana ice-cream, big pieces of chocolate chunk and walnut.

Yelp
After eating at Wokcano down the street, decided to take a walk down the strip to find some dessert. Found Ben and Jerrys so decided to give it a try. Located in a little shopping area off the street . Street parking available . The area has a lot of foot traffic during weekend nights . B&j's was clean and spacious . Some tables inside to sit at. Service was quick since there was nobody else in there. Good selection of ice cream and cones . Can't go wrong with B&J.

Yelp
Ice cream cake looks plain but taste good. Nice quiet place. It needs better selection. Line was too long at Cold stone so came here. This is ice cream at its best. Love the atmosphere.

Yelp
It's always nice to find an ice cream joint that carries non-dairy other than sorbet. The down side to any Ben & Jerry's is the price. So be prepared to spend more for a cone than you would spend for a tub of non-diary at the grocery store! But if you're out and about and you want ice cream, you have to pay the price. The other downside currently with Ben & Jerry's is they only have almond milk ice cream for non-dairy. So if you don't like almond milk, and you don't want sorbet, you are out of luck. B&J's needs to jump on the non-dairy bandwagon with more plant based milk options, not just almond. Staff was pleasant and knew about the non-dairy options. Great location if you are seeing a movie or having a meal in Burbank.

Yelp
The ladies that took care of me and my friend went above and beyond. I honestly don't remember the last time I had Scoopers be this happy to serve. They made me feel like a child in again. It was a pleasant experience

Yelp
The ice cream is wonderful, but the service is meh. I was overcharged for the Waffle Cone Sundae, $1 for the waffle cone. Dude, that's like charging extra for the cheese in a cheeseburger, it's in the title, so it's included. I wonder how many times he's done that to unassuming tourists. It's only a dollar, but if you ring up 100 people in an hour, that really adds up.

Yelp
Ben and Jerry please its always a good time for retirement and now would be that time. The ice cream is bad in the supermarkets, don't know why I thought it would be any better at a shop. Purchased the brownie with caramel sauce and a pint of caramel swirl ice cream. Gee wiz the brownie was dead, lifeless, tasteless, sauce was nothing to write home about. Ice cream...its Ben and Jerry what else to expect...sadness. I'm staying out!

Yelp
I KNOW I AM LOWERING THE AVERAGE RATING OF THIS PLACE, BUT I HAVE GOOD REASON TO! YELP SAYS THIS LOCATION CLOSES AT 11PM, BUT THE WEBSITE SAYS THAT IT CLOSES AT 10PM, SO I GO THERE AT 9:40PM, AND GUESS WHAT??? THE DOORS WERE LOCKED! I GOT NO "SORRY, WE'RE CLOSED" OR ANYTHING; JUST LOCKED DOORS AND GETTING IGNORED. YES, I UNDERSTAND THAT TODAY (APRIL 12, 2011) WAS FREE CONE DAY, BUT WHAT IF I WANTED TO BE A PAYING CUSTOMER (THAT RARELY EVER GOES TO FANCY SCHMANCY ICE CREAM SHOPS) TO GET A MILKSHAKE TO SATISFY SOME PREGNANCY CRAVINGS AND CONSUME A BUNCH OF CALORIES BECAUSE MY METABOLISM CAN HANDLE IT? Despite my "rage" and what not, I have tried a variety of Ben & Jerry ice creams, even though it is super overpriced. I had some in the Berkeley location, and it wasn't zomgsodelicious, mainly because my waffle cone seemed a bit stale. Anyways, thanks a lot for wasting my time and gas money for getting onto the 134 and the 5 to drive *all* the way here for a bunch of disappointment and a stomach without an expensive milkshake and a free ice cream cone.

Yelp
Ben n Jerry's will always be in my heart! They have awesome flavors and a cool location and their pints are loaded with swirls and pieces for the most part! :) I love me some Ben n Jerry's even if it's not the best of the best ice cream :)

Yelp
I came here with Jin C. last week to watch a movie at the AMC. We had time to spare and it was hot outside so we decided to cool off at Ben & Jerry's. This is actually my first time eating at a Ben & Jerry's, I've only ever had their ice cream from the grocery store. The guy behind the counter was nice and let me try four different samples before I decided to get a small cup with two flavours. There are several tables inside to sit at, or you can always just take it with you outside while you look at the different stores in the area. There is even a cut-out for the Liz Lemon Greek Frozen Yogurt that you can take a picture with in the store :) I tried the Scotchy Scotch Scotch (butterscotch ice cream with butterscotch swirls) and the Liz Lemon (lemon greek frozen yogurt with a blueberry lavender swirl). Yes, they don't really go together, but I wanted something light to offset the heavy butterscotch ice cream. And I don't regret my choice at all. I love butterscotch so that ice cream was perfect for me, very sweet and delicious. But it can also be a bit overwhelming, which is why having it with the lemon greek froyo worked out well for me. The greek froyo was very light and refreshing, and I liked the swirl of blueberry (I couldn't taste the lavender). I'm a big fan of Ben & Jerry ice creams at the market, so I was glad to see they have a storefront here. They give away free ice cream every year on Free Cone Day, so definitely stop by if you are in the area and want to cool down.
