"Benedetto is a high-end Italian restaurant with white tablecloths, a sommelier, and a menu featuring things like orange blossom ricotta. For as fancy as this Harvard Square spot is though, the menu is priced pretty reasonably. The crudo is great, and we’re big fans of the strozzapreti. Come here in the summer when they open up a nice patio in the courtyard of the Charles Hotel." - Dan Secatore

Had a wonderful Saturday dining experience. Our server Aaron was attentive, incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. His recommendations (as well as Jamie's) were spot on and did not disappoint. This is by far my partner and I fave Italian spot. The team lead by Chef Michael and Pastry Chef Renae executes each dish very well. Another all around memorable and impeccable visit.

We had a wonderful time eating here- the food is fantastic! I had a great negroni with the warm olives followed by burrata salad and the gnocchi with duck ragu. The gnocchi was SO good- my boyfriend had the pumpkin tortellini and it was equally delicious. The service was perfect. The dessert is AMAZING- honestly Michelin level, better than desserts I’ve eaten at Michelin starred restaurants. If you go, you have to have dessert. A wonderful restaurant, I cannot wait to return.

Excellent food! I forgot to check if the menu's seafood bias was intentional. Octopus dish was labeled "spicy," but if it was, it was quite subtle. The portion was really generous!! The tagliatelle was hearty and did not have an overt chicken liver flavor. (It's "safe" for kids, including my daughter who loved it.) Halibut had interesting melange of vegetables with grapes and rhubarb playing some interest counterpoint. The sea bream was the best composition -- well balanced with complementing flavors of citrus, olives, and endive/fennel. Bravo. The strawberries and cream dessert was fabulous!!! Chef Connolly deserves her JB semifinalist nomination! Playful and elegantly composed take on the classic flavor combination!

Good pastas, cocktails, and service. Some dishes were just OK. I would stick with the pastas. We had a lovely time and the service was excellent.

The food was amazing and the service was top notch. However, this is more like a $$$ restaurant than a $$ restaurant. However, it is well worth the price but go in expecting to spend about 70-80 dollars per person minimum.

Good food, ambiance, service and wine list. This is a place you go to either impress your party or if you are in a sophisticated mood. The price reflect the high level of the place but you'll gladly pay a $100 dollar dinner. I liked the touch of the chef that came to our table to get some feedback and, since I was born and raised in Italy, he was particularly interested in knowing my opinion. I am interested in trying some more of their dishes and will go back in the future.

Horrible. We were seated between two poor quality huge mirrors, so there was no escaping looking at a fat version of yourself. Not a great way to enjoy a meal. There was no gluten free bread, but they did have Glutino crackers. There were extremely limited options that were both gluten free and had a protein (not vegetarian). I think there were two options. I chose sea bass with gigante beans. The bass was good, but the beans were huge and WAY undercooked. They were literally crunchy still. There were very very few vegetables in it. All in all the dish was pretty terrible. The portions for everyone were very small also. We all left still hungry. This restaurant is a terrible choice for anyone non-vegetarian who is gluten sensitive.
