Slaps!! I went in very hungry so I couldn’t make up my mind. The man at the counter was super helpful and friendly! He recommended the “Left Coast Steak and Cheese“ and it hit the spot. I couldn’t decided between hot and cold and this was perfect. Service was 10 outta 10!

I order takeout from this store about once a week. Their turkey, chicken, and steak sandwiches are all top notch. The quality control is typically excellent as well. Yesterday, there was a minor mistake with my order, so I called into the store to discuss a resolution. Jay, the team leader, was very courteous and took my name down for a complimentary replacement sub the following day. When I returned, the manager Ryan came out to personally apologize for the error. Mistakes are bound to happen every once in a while, and it speaks volumes about this Bennetts store that they go out of their way to make things right in these cases. The top notch customer service and delicious subs will keep me coming back long into the future. Thank you Jay, Ryan, and the rest of the Bennetts team!

The employees was great and the food amazing. Ryan is mvp make sure to give him a shout out. Side note make sure to get review cards on the store website, that way all the employees can get their time to shine in the spotlight, everyone is there is awesome.

I called in an order today & the woman I talked with was impeccable. She was professional, effective and helpful! It seemed like she genuinely wanted to assist without asking for anything in return. That is very rare these days. I wish I got her name, but thank you miss! You made my morning🙏

My colleague ordered catering from Bennett's for an event, and everyone was really impressed! Everything came packed up perfectly wrapped in boxes ready to go with mayo and delicious spicy mayo on the side. The condiments on the side were a real pro move! The sandwiches were packed dry (with no condiments) so they don't end up soggy. We had some leftovers, so I brought a sandwich home, and it was good even after being in the fridge for about 24 hours!

Normally a solid breakfast sandwich choice. There was a mix up on my order today where they forgot to add hot peppers onto the sandwich. I called to explain the mix up, and the gentleman apologized, but said he wouldn’t offer a credit for a future order. The hot peppers are the best part! Solid food, but poor customer service. They lost my business today.

Conflicted in leaving this review but it is what it is. On one hand the steak was marvelously cooked, tasty, and not greasy at all; on the other hand though, Bennett's kitchen translated "grilled peppers and mushrooms" "provolone cheese" and "mayo" to "a HEAPING HELPING OF ONIONS (with a few mushrooms and peppers)" and "a smear of mayo." (No provolone cheese to be seen anywhere!) Tried to pick out as many onions as I could, but they were everywhere so basically, welcome to my gastrointestinal distress for the next 48 hours. (It's not like you can send back food via Uber eats at rush hour.) The fries were ok. Siiigh.

Bennett’s is class. I eat there because I love their chicken steak n’ cheese sub, but they also were very good to our men’s soccer Emanuel for a catering order. Customer Service is outstanding!! Couldn’t recommend more for some looking for a great sandwich or if your organization needs a catering order!!

maybe some of the cheapest eats in boston -- and a can't miss for that reason!! this place obviously benefits from being a regional chain and having a fairly simple menu. still, in this economy, a $6 hot and fresh bagel sandwich that i'm not questioning the cleanliness of? everything. cashier was friendly and accomodating of my modifications, food came out in under 5 minutes, and the shop was neat, clean, and warm. a million times better than subway or any other national chain. maybe not the most exciting culinary experience, but as far as value goes, broke girls and students -- bennett's got you!!

Ordered 2 sandwiches from here for pickup. Order estimate was 30 minutes and it was ready when we got there. The interior is nice feels warm and cosy. I ordered the 'famous chicken cheesesteak' which is a hot sub comes with onions peppers and mushrooms. I asked for no cheese and it actually worked this time because a previous time it still had cheese despite the request. Sandwich was good - bread was soft and the shredded chicken meat was plentiful. Veggies were a bit on the lighter side. I ate half of the 12 inch sub for dinner and saved the other half for the next day. Hubs ordered one of the cold cut sandwiches with ham and turkey supposed to have tomatoes- but there were no tomatoes. :( He thought the sandwich was okay. Saved his half for lunch leftovers as well. I would give a 3.5 stars for the missing ingredients. Overall okay experience, will try some other sandwiches next time.

I've walked by here so many times and was super intrigued, and one day my girlfriend and I decided to stop here for a quick breakfast before heading out. I got a bacon egg and cheese on an English muffin, and my girlfriend got one of their pre-configured sandwiches and subbed it for a bagel. The staff was accommodating in making her sandwich, but the sandwiches themselves were just OK. The beverages in the fridge were also warm because their fridge was broken. Nothing really to write home about. I am sure they are more known for their deli sandwiches and Philly cheesesteaks, so maybe I'll give them another shot for lunch- but definitely skip it for breakfast.

Would've gone 3.5 stars if available. Got a steak and cheese and thought it was decent. Not really a standout - but wouldn't rush to go back. Service was average.

Well, every time I go in there, the music is way too loud. There are not enough spaces to sit in. The place is awful crowded. Why would the music be so unjustly loud when it makes no common sense to make something uncomfortable when you're having a sandwich, especially when you're taking Uber or Lyft down there and you're spending at least $50 or more getting there and the prices are much too high for what you get The price a waiver price for what you get. The employees are very undertrained down to the last second.

UberEats driver stole my order when all my wife had been craving for weeks was a Bennetts turkey sandwich! Bennetts made another sandwich and helped sort it with Uber Eats! Great sandwiches great people!!

This place is definitely not it, don't come. Tasted horrible, no flavor, and overpriced. If imma be honest subway might even be better. Horrible first place to eat since coming to Boston

I ended up taking a detour on my lunch travels the other day and I had not noticed this sandwich shop before. Going in was a good decision. Like most spots on this part of Boylston Street, the inside is set for the in-and-out and take out lunch crowds. It is a cozy and bright atmosphere which is just right for a short pit stop. I ordered a large Pastrami and they definitely hit the target! I'll be back to go through more of the menu as time goes on.

Really like their tasty Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. It is good for lunch and dinner as you can eat one half for lunch and the other half later, for dinner.

I've tried the pastrami, italian signature sub, and the f-bomb. I love sandwiches and this place definitely is now my go-to place for subs now! They have 3 different sizes so I decided to do the kids size for two different sandwiches because I wanted to try both. The bread is so yummy and the chicken isn't dry at all but super juicy. I ordered in and it was fast in making it. I would recommend this place for a quick yummy bite that is also affordable!

Can here for the first time 4/5/25 with my wife. we ordered the large bacon cheeseburger sub. The food was awesome. The sub was nice and hot. The service was excellent. He took my order right away. The only downside is the fries were a little salty, but they were very fresh and hot.. we will definitely be coming back here again

I had the port fries from this place before and I obviously knew I had to get them again since they were excellent last time (maybe even the best fries I've ever had) but this time I was interested in trying out the sandwiches. I went with their steak and cheese. I ordered their through a catering app at work, but despite it being delivery, it was still warm when it arrived. It was a decently sized sandwich, about 8 inches long. I took a bite and my first thought was, "wow, this is the softest bread I've ever had." It reminded me of the buns they use for baos where it's malleable, soft, and pale in color. This wrapped around a heap of meat that was perfectly cooked, but I wish the cheese flavor was more prominent. I think because it was mixed in with the meat, it was hard to distinguish the taste. I do wish it came with a sauce or had a spread to make the sandwich more interesting, or less dry. The fries were as delicious as last time (only some were a but overcooked) and the sauce it comes with was amazing. Overall, very much enjoyed the food once again.

Wonderful spot for DELICIOUS sandwiches! A true Boston gem, if you like sandwiches, Bennett's is a must. I order steak & cheese melt with mayonnaise ketchup pickles salt and pepper. hubby got a large cheeseburger sub with salt and pepper banana peppers oil & vinegar large chicken tenders with honey mustard

Came here for breakfast on a Friday morning and ordered a bagel with eggs, bacon, and lettuce. The cashier was super friendly and the space is open and lively. There are a ton of options and I would definitely come back for a quick lunch.

Excellent place for a quick bite on the way to Fenway Park. I selected a simple sausage, egg and cheese on a roll and the staff member suggested a perfect twist by adding Sriracha aïoli.

The food was tasteless. The bread was undercooked to our liking. It was clean and service was good. The food though...not for us. We had a turkey and provolone along with a chicken salad sandwich. We had to add anything we could for them to have flavor

Food is incredible and there are a wide variety of choices. Service has always been good for me. Usually pretty quick with making the food. I like their newer location too, very bright.

The only sub shop you need to hit in Boston is Bennett's, period! I'm dead serious, don't even play with me. That steak, egg, and cheese with hash browns and spicy mayo? CHANGED MY LIFE. I'm debating having them cater my wedding. Every bite is ridiculous. I've tried other spots, but Bennett's in Fenway just gets it. Fast, flavorful, and makes you question every sandwich decision you've ever made, gapeesh?

Such a great spot! The bread is amazing, def toast it for the perfect texture.. it's super fresh. I love the wicked turkey and wicked Italian, as well as making my own combos and the breakfast sandwiches on their signature sub rolls are insane... always add the hash browns in and also get them on the side! Bennett's is def my go to sub/sandwich spot and I don't even bother ordering from anywhere else bc it just won't be as good.

Ordered a veggie sub, found what looks like steak in it. The food is good but the risk of cross contamination isn't worth it if you have any kind of dietary restrictions.

Love their sandwiches. I'm a regular customer. Not a fan of the sub rolls they use. They're very soft, become mushy very quickly. I wish they had an alternative sub roll selection which offered more of a baguette-like, crispy crust or another choice like a panini. I hate to leave a bad review because I like their sandwiches, but the type of bread they offer is unfortunately a big deal.

*This review is regarding a delivery order Are they overpriced? Yea... Do I keep ordering from them time and time again? Also, yea! Their sandwiches are really good! And I know what you're thinking...a sandwich is a sandwich, how good could it be? I think it has to do with the bread because while it's not the best bread I've ever tasted in my entire life, it's pretty darn good bread. If I had to recommend one sandwich to get from them, it would be the cheese steak. Now, I'm a New Yorker not a Philedlphian, so don't come for me if it's not Philly cheesesteak level, but it's good!

That was a good sandwich! I ordered a small cheesesteak sandwich and I would hate to see the large. Portions are big here. The bread was tender and the meat, veggies and cheese ratio was perfect! This place would be a problem if I lived here.

Matt and his team at the Boston Bennett's are always top notch in customer service and consistency. Matt goes above and beyond to greet customers & ensure satisfaction. I have become a regular for lunchtime (turkey & cheese) a classic but delicious sub & I must try their breakfast sandwiches! With so many options in the Fenway area you cannot go wrong with something from Bennett's (and it's affordable!)

It's probably exactly what you were expecting The pastrami breakfast sandwich was great, if a little greasy, and the Italian we grabbed for lunch was solid, but could use something like hots on it as a standard (or at least a required option) to give it some oomph.

This is a hidden gem that more people should be talking about! I first tried their wicked steak & cheese (cheesesteak with sriracha aioli and hot sauce) and will definitely be coming back to try their other menu items. You can choose your bread type (including gluten free) and get a small or large sandwich (+$3). Most small sandwiches beside the lobster rolls are $9.49, but there are also other cheaper sandwiches. The small sandwich itself is PACKED with meat and is a big portion on its own. I thought their fries ($4.49) seemed a bit pricey as a side but I tried them anyway. They are thick, crinkle-cut, and very crispy on the outside. Better than Shake Shack fries in my opinion! They're worth the splurge if you're craving fries.

Customer service is great. You should try the lobster roll. I left a detailed review on Yelp under the other location.

Sandwich had potential, but had to stop eating due to the amount of eggshells I kept chewing on. It was too hard to pick them out. Waste of money and time.

I am big on customer service, and creating a good experience for the customer in front you. It's kinda old school I guess. The food here I got delicious. I haven't got a ton of food but what I have has been good. BUT, big but, the old man with the tight hat, and the skinny guy with the skinny stache have horrible attitudes. It's the weirdest thing because the register lady is so sweet. They are super impatient and unhelpful. One didn't even know how to add points to my account after making a purchase and just went to the next customer. They are subtle with it but after time and time again it adds up, trust me!

Ordered through Uber Eats restaurant claimed someone took order and refused to remake for driver! Now I come on here and see they have recent health violations guess I should be grateful for their horrible customer service!!

Absolutely delicious sandwiches ! My husband got the cheesesteak (no veggies because he's so picky!) and I got the turkey and cheese. Both had amazing flavors ! Highly recommend !

This steak and cheese is the best in Massachusetts hands down. The food was incredible, the service is very quick and they are very friendly. I went to the location in Fenway, the only thing I can say is avoid trying to dine in if your driving and the socks are playing. Other than that this place is great. This sub is easily a 10/10

Squishy bread seemed gimmicky and underbaked for effect the steak itself was unseasoned the good part was the velvety cheesiness but I really couldn't taste anything but that. The problem is once you've had Carls in Waltham everything else seems weak.

I ordered a chicken sandwich through Relish. The bread was super fresh however the sandwich filling was a meager portion. It was even too little for me and I'm a tiny 5'3" woman with a small appetite. I felt hungry afterward.

Excellent sandwiches. Had the original Steak and the Wicked Italian (fantastic spicy twist on a classic italian). James recommended the Bennett soda too. We were very impressed. Service was excellent. A must stop sandwich shop in Fenway!

One of the few places in Boston I can actually order a sub like a normal person. I have celiac disease and need to be gluten free. This amazing spot gives me a huge gluten free sub roll and It's loaded with meats and toppings. The cream soda here is also amazing. I can't stop talking about this spot with my friends because the subs are so good!

i absolutely love this place. it's always very clean and the staff are all so nice. there's even one guy that remembers my name when i come in. most importantly the food is delicious, i've tried multiple things but the steak melt is where it's at!! will continue to come here during my lunch breaks 10/10 recommend :)

So I try not to order out to much but was really in the mood for a good sub. Got a chicken tender sub with bacon, ranch, lettuce and tomatoes from @bennettssandwichshop in Fenway. This is a SMALL. Its huge! Most places this is a large. Ordered online and the sub and drink were waiting when I arrived. My go to when ordering around work. Only criticism is too much lettuce.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how you build a sub. The concept couldn't be simpler, fresh ingredients meets great bread. Well....easier said than done. Seldom do I find a place where the two click. Bennett's sits in one of my favorite dining areas in the city. Peterborough is never short of options. Similar in setup to it's numerous neighbors, seating is available both inside and out, but limited during the colder months. Well that's unless you are feeling brave or crazy...your pick. As far as subs go, this is the jackpot. The freshness of the ingredients come through in the very first bite to the very last, but what separates Bennett's from any other place In recent memory is the bread. Soft would be an understatement. I'm pretty sure if I gathered a enough loafs, I'd be able to stuff a pillow case and make myself a top of the line tempura pedic memory foam pillow! Or I can stuff my face for a few weeks. Either way, win. The so called famous steak and cheese is absolutely delicious, but this is the best Italian sub in the city, period. Yes....better than Monica's. How long have these guys been around?! We have a lot of catching up to do. Bennett's is officially crowned my new favorite sandwich shop.

Yes! I had such a good sub from here. I got a turkey sandwich and it was delicious. Why is the bread so good?? I need to know where they get it!! The cashiers were so nice and it was more of a take out vibe but you could totally eat in.
