"Equal parts brewery, cider house, and beer garden, Benny Boy is the perfect place to wear a crisp white tee and jeans and feel like the best version of your summer self. This Lincoln Heights spot does it all: there’s a giant patio filled with wooden benches and tree stumps that feels like a grown-up overnight camp, food pop-ups happen most nights, and, of course, the beer is flowing. Expect IPAs, ice-cold Mexican lagers, bold farmhouse ales brewed with basil, and more. The space is 21+, but infants in strollers or carriages are welcome." - brant cox

"Holding a Bastille Day celebration on July 13 featuring a live French jazz concert from 5 to 8 p.m., tarte flambé, and additional offerings." - Matthew Kang

"A Lincoln Heights brewery and cidery that keeps a steady rotation of pop-up food programs; during one weekend a Texas-style barbecue specialist was on-site serving barbecue trays with brisket, pork, mac and cheese, grits, and more, but the real standout was a Japanese curry rice bowl with brisket. Slightly spicy, rich Japanese curry is spooned over sticky white rice and topped with a thick-cut slice of smoky brisket. While beef is a common addition to Japanese curry, this version let the brisket stand out rather than blending into the dish, adding a rich savoriness that paired well with the gently sweet curry base, leaving the reviewer wondering what other barbecue meats would work with curry. "Equal parts brewery, cider house, and beer garden, this Lincoln Park spot is the perfect place for big groups to gather ‘round a fire pit, order flights, and contemplate taking an axe-throwing class together. With its wooden benches, tree stumps, and metal structures, this spacious freeway-adjacent patio has the aura of a grown-up summer camp where people use the word "dude" a lot. Plus, food pop-ups operate most nights." - brant cox, arden shore, sylvio martins, cathy park

"A husband-and-wife–run brewery and cidery by Ben Farber and Chelsey Rosetter with an expansive layout that includes a spacious outdoor patio and two covered areas designed to host pop-up restaurants and events. The taproom maintains a robust calendar—live band karaoke, DJs, vintage car shows, or even bingo with actual live chickens—while all beers and ciders are brewed on-site; the ciders use whole flower hops and include a notable Pippin apple option." - Mona Holmes
