Béo Ơi

"Off from the main drag, this simple shop is run by the owner-chef, affectionately known as béo ơi or "fat boy" by regulars, who come in droves during lunch hours. The menu features generous portions of Hanoian home-style cooking, including bún riêu cua, a flavoursome tomato crab soup topped with crispy deep-fried tofu. Order a couple of sides for a complete meal. Or go with friends and opt for a hot pot dinner with the tasty soup as a base." - Michelin Inspector

The restaurant is located in a small alley, very pretty and pleasant. The food is well seasoned, I feel the taste of the North, next time I will try hot pot

What a meal! Came here for Michelin guide. The flavor for the assorted soup noodle was so rich and refreshing, only the portion was disappointing even though I ordered the extra large version. The crab roll was so fun to eat with (grandma and the chef were so warmhearted they saw me not eating the local way, literally came to teach me hand by hand. Price for everything was so reasonable considering It’s also a cute little diner with clean open kitchen and fun wall paintings. I highly recommend!!

A nice bun bo nam bo (my favorite vietnamese dish). It was a sizable bowl full of fresh ingredients but nothing special, just nice. I had to wait for quite a while at lunchtime as some of the ingredients had not been delivered. A reasonable price for the meal.

lẩu riêu cua was decent, but the quantity of the meat was kinda little. atmosphere was fine

It’s a fairly nice vietnamese restaurant that even suits for tourists. I especially like the crab paste hotpot and squid pancake with noodles. The prices here is pretty reasonable. It’s located through an unique alley, so it’s nice if you want local experience as well.

this spot is a little hidden away youll need to walk all the way down of the alleyway (from the main road it looks like this alley is just residents) - once you reach the end youll find it on ur left (youll also be welcomed to an opening of another couple spots too!) pretty decent Bun Rieu imo i usually dont like eating it much but iv quite enjoyed having it here! very tasty

Our friend group has dined here twice, about two years apart. While the service and atmosphere were never its strong suits, the restaurant used to make up for it with a good price-to-quality ratio. Unfortunately, on our last visit, the food quality had noticeably declined. Some ingredients didn’t seem fresh, and the flavors weren’t quite the same. That said, the prices remain reasonable for an eatery in the city center.
