"Lausanne's EHL Hospitality Business School can be proud of this top-notch restaurant. A crack team of chefs (several Meilleurs Ouvriers de France are on the teaching faculty) work with the students to orchestrate a series of dishes that abound with coherent flavours, bringing their classroom learnings to the table! The dishes, which are perfectly poised between classic and modern, demonstrate a mastery of technical skill. From start to finish, each bite is bliss, and the setting also enhances the experience: the bright interior has a superb view of the surrounding mountains. Hats off!" - Michelin Inspector

Tried the breakfast at Berceau des Sens today. It was a great experience, very warm and thoughtfully served by the EHL AP students. Friendly service and overall a very humane and attentive atmosphere. The meal started with a cold drink of choice and a separate welcome drink, followed by assorted breads and jams. For the main breakfast items, there were options like omelette, scrambled eggs, or fried eggs, along with granola with yogurt and fruits. You can also choose pancakes or French toast with toppings such as maple syrup or chocolate. A hot drink is included as well such as coffee or hot chocolate. I chose the gourmet breakfast, which is usually 35 CHF, but paid 28 CHF as a student. The classic option is 30 CHF and would have been slightly cheaper too. Overall, very good service and a satisfying breakfast experience. Reservation is necessary!

Great fine dining experience, while at the same time very human as most waiters are students. The food was delicious, we enjoyed our 4-course menu. The cheese platter was great as it allowed you to discover previously unknown cheeses (and the Roquefort was a highlight, apparently from the last artisanal manufacturer that’s standing the test of time). Only negatives were that aperitif champagne glasses were proposed without being told the price, and then turned out to be 26 CHF each, a bit steep when not informed upfront. Also, a bill error was made by adding drinks we didn’t have (and other billing issues happened to my brother when he went as well — so make sure to double check it). Overall great, would recommend to try the experience!

We had a lunch on Monday which is the first day for most students working in the restaurant. It was a great pleasure to watch stressed students making mistakes. I believe it is a part of the experience. The food is expected for a Michelin 1 start restaurant. I highly recommend Voile d'encornet. Actually I don‘t remember many details after 4 glasses of wind. The wind selection was so good.

Great staff and fantastic food, truly a 1 Michelin star. Having been to other hospitality school restaurants this by far stands out. You have to be patient and expect one or two tiny errors, but the professors clearly hold them to a high standard. Quite value for money for sure

Delicious food and a cool experience! Considering they’re students, the service was great and all of the dishes were perfectly prepared. Very good value too. Reservations open 60 days in advance, and can go pretty quickly so be prepared!

It’s very hard to get a reservation, so organize yourselves in advance. But the experience is always lovely. This is an application restaurant, EhL students are cooking and serving you under the supervision’s of professionals and MoF. The food is always deliciously made and I always discover new products and pairing. Prepare your wallet! But the experience is worth it.

Unique experience. Try it! This is hotel school with a 1* Michelin inside. Place. It is an incredible facility with a lovely restaurant inside. Cozy and familiar with nice music and gray ambiance Service - is done mainly by students and obviously you can't expect the consistency of long term staff. There were several mistakes that they overcame with kindness and a great attitude. It was fine. Food: They prepared some monkfish and potatoes for the kid. And we got a 4 course menu, they started with some polenta and lobster and spoons of veal carpaccio I think. Firsts highlights were the tuna poke roll and the foie. The mains were many as we were a large group but highlights were the langostinos, monkfish with calamari spaghetti and duck. Desserts also quite good with very distinct flavours. They closed with some homemade chocolates and pattiserie. Overall we enjoyed a lot, there is a great ambience result of a mix of student excitement and teachers know how. We will probably come back.

A Michelin starred implant right on the best hospitality school of Switzeeland is such a delight, especially for visiting family and friends of students of EHL. Nice to witness the future hoteliers being trained in such a competitive culinary setting…
