This review is specifically for Chanel. I purchased a bag there a couple days ago and I asked the sales associate to give me a new one as the one in the display case has a few scratches on them and so they showed me a new one. But, when I opened the box when I got home they switched it back to the scratched one!! I am just visiting so it’s not worth the hassle of coming back or spend my energy on replacing. I was seriously thinking of using that SA to be my permanent one as he was so nice to my face but was a fake!

This review is specifically for Schiaparelli. In June 2023 I walked into Schiaparelli in athletic clothes and was welcomed with the rudest SA—he was slim, tall, and French. I inquired about some pieces on the rack and while he did answer my questions, he made sure to specify that “we don’t do sales”. I was appalled, I didn’t even ask for one. I went back the same week and spoke to an American SA to share my horrible experience. Despite me sharing that I work in the luxury industry too and know this isn’t right, she tried to make excuses for her colleague, citing the fact that because “he’s French” they tend to come off like that, instead of just apologizing and leaving it at that. October of the same year my family and I went to Paris for vacation and went to the Schiaparelli Atelier—total 360 degree treatment. We were given the full history tour, and were treated like royalty. We ended up purchasing some pieces from them instead. I finally had the guts to share my story. Never have I expected to be treated this way at a Bergdorf’s. Maybe teach your SAs not to judge and discriminate based off of on looks. It could lose your company SO MUCH MONEY.

I ordered two Skin Caviar Eye Wonders Sets from Bergdorf Goodman online, and the package arrived with only one set inside. I recorded the entire unboxing, so I contacted customer service immediately. Instead of resolving a clear shipping error, BG denied my claim, saying the FedEx weight showed no shortage. This is simply incorrect. I weighed the package myself, and the box plus one set matches the exact FedEx weight – meaning the second set was never shipped. Customer service made the situation even worse. They refused to allow me to submit my unboxing video, and they declined my offer to bring the original box and product to the store so they could weigh it themselves. Despite having clear evidence, they chose to dismiss it and acted as if I was making things up. The missing set is worth $388, and BG still refused to take responsibility or correct their mistake. This level of customer service is shocking for a luxury retailer. Extremely disappointed – I expected far better from Bergdorf Goodman and they have zero accountability!!!

Visited last week with the intention of smelling some of the YSL private line. Many of the vendors were super kind and patient, especially a representative at Guerlain who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Unfortunately when I got to the YSL station the only employee was working with another group for a super long time and seemingly had no idea I was there, but she had to have seen because other reps were staring uncomfortably but clearly unable to help as I wasnt at their stations. After waiting for around fifteen minutes she ended up walking off to a completely different section and I ended up leaving never having gotten to smell any of the fragrances I came for in the first place. The experience was deeply disappointing and I wouldn't return again after it.

We stopped in for the bathroom. I left my phone in the stall. Security had it within minutes . On my way out from the bathroom the lady that worked at Guerlain stopped my friend and I. We entered the boutique and we ended up getting matching lipstick cases and lip shades. The process was so cute and we had it customized in seconds. They were sold out of a few shades but we were able to settle on one. Since we did so well we went to Hermes beauty. The associate could not even be bothered with me. She didn't even say hello and I had a list of items to purchase.

Absolutely loved the speakeasy vibe in the new Ginori 1735 cafe. Tucked in the back of the fragrance section of BG, definitely worth the hunt. Coming here for a work lunch the service was excellent. Daily specials offer a fresh variety from the normal menu. Pleasantly surprised by how quickly we received our items without being rushed. Considering the location and value for some Italian classics without the passport stamp. From sea-bass to lobster ravioli something for everyone in the group. Upon exiting I stopped by and picked up a new fragrance so it was a great way to spend the afternoon.

Do NOT order online from Bergdorfs!. Bergdorf Goodman sent my daughter in Chicago multiple pairs of Cucinelli shoes in various sizes. My daughter tried them all on and didn't like the look or fit. She never wore them except across her carpeted floor as she was trying them on! Bergdorf Goodman sent two pairs back to my daughter alleging (falsely) that they had been worn. Everyone else on here is not kidding that Bergdorf's is indeed NOW DELIBERATELY STEALING FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS. I returned well within the return window timeframe and they sent me back BOTH pairs of DIFFERENT SIZED (lol) shoes that they claimed had BOTH been worn ??? Same color, same shoe, only thing different is the sizes. And these geniuses thought both sizes had been worn. Season after season, a stop to shop at BG's handbags and shoes departments I must make. A visit to their lingerie, jewelry, kids, and, my favorite at-the-moment designer departments when needed. This has been my go-to spot for lunch while in Midtown and most especially for my birthday lunch. The servers and host are always so kind and manage to get a table for walk-ins or only wait a few minutes before getting seated. For special occasions, I highly recommend booking a reservation and call in advance to plan accordingly if it's a surprise or get together with a close circle of friends. Their menu selection offers a wide variety of dishes from classic deviled eggs to duck dumplings as appetizers to lobster napoleon as a main course which was quite filling since it had lobster and mushroom paired with a creamy sauce. It is worth splurging on yourself if you make it a special trip to Bergdorf Goodman with fellow foodie lovers who like variety of dishes or afternoon tea time with beautiful decor across the restaurant

Kind of sad to leave my once favorite store a 1 star review. Be warned. If your package was stolen or lost, you are s..t out of luck and better eat that cost yourself. Recently had a package stolen and despite providing video footage of the package theft, Bergdorf said it sucks for you but better eat the cost yourself. Who would have thought that BG would treat its customers like this? Don't they have insurance in place, and why they don't require signature?? Ridiculous!

BERGDORF GOODMAN PATTERN OF FRAUD AND STEALING As I read reviews, I realize I have been another victim of fraud and theft. I returned an expensive bathing suite which I tried on once, then put right back in the box in absolutely perfect condition. It showed up in a box back at my house weeks later with no explanation and had marks on it that I did not cause. I called and spoke to 2 supervisors who told me there were deodorant stains on the suit. I DON'T WEAR DEODORANT. I asked them if they had read reviews on Trust Pilot (check those out) and let them know many customers have had this same experience. That if they truly cared about their customers as they say, they would read reviews and look into this problem. All I got was "They won't accept a rejected item". Who is "They"? I asked. "Returned Goods" I was told. I'd like to speak to "Them". I was told there is no phone number... Basically, we are all getting robbed by Bergdorf Goodman and I hope people stop shopping there. DO NOT SHOP AT BERGDORF GOODMAN.

I was visiting the store to look for a nice gift for my brother, was looking at some shirts from Loro Piana, but was surprised to hear one of the female sales associates doing a weird fake Asian accent to her Asian clients. Personally, it came off as extremely racists and you could tell her clients felt like she was making fun of them. I ended up leaving the store without buying anything. Originally I wasn't going to say anything but it still bothers me. Don't expect to be treated with any respect if you're not a rich white person at the BG in NYC Men's location apparently.

High end department store, actually it's way less pretentious than Saks Fifth. While the staff is much more pleasant here-- they have most of the same brands and/or items. I would say you probably experience less traffic and fellow shoppers who are more courteous and pleasant. I think their online department along with their umbrella company Neiman Marcus isn't that great, but the store shopping experience is worth a visit.

The first thing I have to say is the customer service on the lower level is deplorable!! I was there May 30 at 5 PM and an older, thin woman took care of me. I stood there. No one greeted me, and then she mumbled something like oh I didn't see you standing there. Are you joking? She was sitting and talking to another coworker and she didn't see a customer standing there. I had just spent $1900 in fragrance and make up with Hermes, YSL and Baccarat. I had an expired $25 gift card and she very bluntly told me it's impossible because it's over a year old to extend it. OK, I could deal with that, but it was more the way she said it.. Rudely as if she enjoyed telling me this. Bergdorf Goodman Is an iconic store and legendary, I've been shopping here for 40 years. It seems nowadays so many employees in the store have their noses in the air to the customers who actually shop here!

Firstly-this is a beautiful and elegant store. The window displays are superb and the selection has become quite edgy My only co plaint is the floor for Women's Coats has a very sparse size selection. Was in the market for a 3:4 Cashmere coat and was informed that many designers only go up to size -10? I'm confused I e bought coats on Madison Avenue and in chic stores in Greenwich Connecticut and they both do coats in 10-12. I have many friends all over the country who buy cashmere coats in 10_12. I believe the salesperson was too lazy to order it or the Coat Buyer is literally out of touch with how to order Retail! My solution-I'll order it in the Hamptons or have it shipped from a store in Los Angeles. There are plenty of stores in the country that carry a full range of sizes

I'd never been inside for all years I'd been visiting the city. I have the time today and compelled to pay a visit. As it is known to be a high end department store, each pieces showing a quality mark that's worth the price. Am I paying the price tag? Oh well, I have to see first the perfect piece and should be on the sale rack. Gladly to share that associates here are not pushy. They let you browse and browse and browse until you get exhausted and pay for the last piece you see. The layout design of the store is easy to follow. There are associates ready to answer for any inquiries. Classic location and worthy of the visit time. A place to check every time you are along 5th Ave.

When. American Express Concierge recommends a NYC restaurant with a view we take it seriously. The experience lived up to the reviews. They squeezed us in even though the restaurant closed at 6pm. The staff was very friendly and conscientious. The room felt like a European tea room. The steak was very good and everyone was happy with their meal. We came for tea which was nice. Then we looked around the 7th floor gallery. We were adoring the jewelry section but ended up leaving because we did not have a nice experience at all. I was basically shut down mid sentence by one of the two -snooty- sales men. No I don't live in the area but I come from Prague, very old and historical city and I grew up around antiquities- this is nothing new for me. It was more than surprising to be treated that way. Perhaps I wasn't wearing correct shoes/outfit? Ha.Ha. I wasn't laughing tho, it was surprisingly rude and made me feel unwelcome. We went to shop at the Chanel downstairs anyway, thats why we came- where we encountered a very nice sales woman and will be returning- but the 7th floor experience was less then polite.

I love Bergdorf's. It was THE place for party dresses when I was young and single. And then it was THE place for perfumes that you couldn't find anywhere else, back in the 2000's. I discovered Clive Christian perfumes there, and it became a tradition to get a new bottle every year, when my ex-husband and I would visit New York to see my family and friends. It's a truly beautiful department store, with many boutiques. Swoony shoes! Gorgeous clothes! A fashionista tree! Beautiful china! And a lovely restaurant. We had planned to have lunch there with my cousin, but she couldn't make it, alas. We wandered around, and my mother bought a bell for a friend who falls down. I fell in love with a stunning Jason Wu dress, a shocking pink ball gown, but alas don't need it in the near future. Was seriously tempted by some shoes and a Schiaparelli purse, but the Mommy said I could put buckles on shoes that I already have. I have the rhinestone buckles, too. Sigh. A very pleasant couple of hours. Truly a wonderful place for glorious fashion and home decor.

The ambiance and experience is why you come here. Overlooking Central Park on the 7th floor of Bergdorf Goodman, this restaurant makes you feel elite and is a great place for tea or lunch. The glasses you use for your meal are so beautiful. All the details of everything in the room is impressive. Most of the food is fine - small portions, insanely expensive, and average tasting (nothing special for the price) - but the SCALLOPS!! The scallops rule the menu. Scallops in truffle sauce: 11/10 Everything about this dish is fabulous. The scallops are perfectly seared and massive. The truffle sauce is INCREDIBLE. Even the spinach and mushrooms is amazing. Great place for the views, vibe, and scallops. That's all.

Extremely Disappointed with Return Experience with Bergdorf Goodman Ordered online a dress from Bergdorf Goodman for my daughter's wedding, which is still seven months away. When it arrived, I didn't thoroughly inspect or photograph it, but I did try it on once for just a few minutes at home. I didn't love the fit or look, so I returned it promptly with all original tags still attached. Weeks passed and I noticed I hadn't received a refund. When I called, I was told the return was rejected due to "stains" on the dress and that the item would be sent back to me. I was shocked. I wore it for less than five minutes inside my home and absolutely did not stain or damage it. I respectfully escalated the issue, but their customer service was completely unyielding. This is incredibly frustrating and feels unjust. For comparison, I recently ordered and returned two dresses to Neiman Marcus without any issues--and the third one I kept. I'm still trying to resolve this, but at the moment, BG has my money and apparently, they are send me a dress I don't want. Very upsetting and disappointing experience.

Afternoon tea was a special birthday treat for our friend's 50th bday. Located on an upper level of the department store. We got dressed in smart casual as noted in the website but there was no dress code enforced. Jeans and work shirts were seen and that was fine but we would have also been more comfy for tea time lol. $85 per person, got you 1 pot of tea of your choice (all excellent) and a tower of goodies. Sandwiches, scones, macarons and other sweet treats. Sandwiches were just ok as were some of the desserts. My absolute favorite item was the cranberry, blueberry and raisin scone with the clotted cream. We all loved it so much we asked our waitress what made it so good? It was crispy on the outside but still moist on the inside. And she told us it's made with crème fraiche and then brought us more scones and cream It's a beautiful location overlooking Central Park. Dress up if you want to, but no one will make you. And please definitely try the scones!

This review is for the women's store. The homeware department needs a serious revamp. Surly staff, stodgy offerings -- no wonder more and more people are shopping online. Good riddance to this dinosaur. The selection of glassware / crystal, in particular, is horrifically dated and uninspired. Go to Jung Lee instead. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Ordered an $1,800 jacket and they didn't even use signature confirmation shipping. It was stolen from outside my house while I was at work. Spoke with customer service and they assured me they would make it right. Then a week later I get an email that reads "We have determined that this claim cannot be processed at this time" What does that even mean? Thanks for absolutely nothing.

I am so tired about complaining to the managers at Bergdorf about the blatant racism of their staff. Can you guys please let me know why Teresa in the underwear department told me 4 times that the store was closing when I asked her to open a fitting room--but continued to help her white blond customer try panties on over her leggings in the middle of the store AFTER I was finished and hung back up my items? I'm curious as to why the store was closing for me and not her.

I came here for high tea because I heard they have a good high tea service. I really like high tea because it is the perfect way to take things easy and speak to a friend for 3+ hours. Unfortunately, I felt like that experience was taken away from us. The waiter was too quick, we sat down and he came by to take our order (despite it not being busy and several empty tables). He then gave us the check before we were even done. Other than the service, I thought the tea was good and the treats were good as well! It is extremely pricy for what it is though - $75 per person for not that much food. They also squish the tables together, so I felt claustrophobically close to the table next to me

Quintessential New York destination for any shopper. It's unique and I love both the attention to detail and the history. If you're in the upper end market you'll have no troubles finding something unique for that special someone. Sure prices are high and NYC tax isn't the cheapest but some things money simply cannot buy. You come here for the memories. It's like a soirée when shopping. Such an iconic and fabulous store with so much to look at! I had a great time picking out goodies to bring back to Florida. Excellent customer service with Emily Karcher, highly recommend making an appointment with her on the 4th floor! Will definitely shop again when back in NYC.

Beautiful items but way beyond my price point! Definitely has eclectic clothes on trend and more avant garde than anything I've seen. The windows and the people watching are also worth looking at here! It is so chic and worthy of visiting! So many beautiful items- scarves, shirts, dresses and more- what to get...for me - I just browsed through and I'm happy to look at everything!

You get excellent customer service at this store. I particularly like the cosmetics department, the store takes all kinds of credit cards. I was once mistaken for a salesperson because I didn't have a coat on. The handbags they have are excellent, and the store carries a variety of designers. Although things are expensive, you will get something great.

Came with my sister for Afternoon Tea and was very happy with our choice of coming here. Definitely a cheaper high tea alternative to others in the area while getting the full tea experience. We were immediately greeted with great service and kindness upon walking in. The restaurant itself is very cute and well-decorated. We sat at a cute part of the restaurant with nice chairs that felt so afternoon-esq The tea itself was very strong- i am not much of a tea person but the menu had many options including more fruity versus more herbal the finger foods were so good - i wish there were more fruity desserts! will come back

High tea at Bergdorf is a first for me. Esp. in America. One usually would go to a hotel restaurant in America for high tea. This is the exception. I enjoyed every moment I was here from the decor, table setting, teas, finger sandwiches (which is in my opinion can rival some of the tea sandwiches I've had in there UK), and their sweets. 1 star off because our neighbours were obnoxious and we a little to close for comfort while dining.

The worst customer service/ sales experience i have ever had. First the designer woman's clothes saleswoman' promised me that slacks i bought would be at my apt in two days It cane in ten days later. Then i went to the store bec it needed hemming. I was promused that the salesperson would call me to tsll me when to pick the slacks up .we are leaving nyc as i told thsm , so the hemming was rushed. I have been calling them for three days and thsy do not answer . I left detailed messages with three dif very nice receptionists all of who took detailed notes and promised that id get a callback. I never got a call back. And the designer floor never picks up thsir phone . I love the items in BG but i will NEVER shop there again. Im leaving nyc this friday without my hemmed slacks!!! Horrible place that has taken so much of my time.

We came here for High Tea. Service was 5 stars. Our server was knowledgeable and excellent at helping us select our tea. Nice ambiance, but cramped. The tables were so close it was like being with the party next to us as you could hear their entire conversation even if you didn't want to. Food - okay, not great. The puff with caviar was delicious. The salmon was tasty. The scones were good, and it seemed they were served with real clotted cream. The rest was rather ordinary.

This is the cutest little restaurant filled with 60 year old women drinking champagne at noon. The vibes are immaculate. The food was good but not great, which is to be expected. We were a little bit cramped at our table but overall had a good experience

Department store is very luxe and expensive. It is fun to look around. I came for afternoon tea which was $56/person. Each person gets a small pot of tea and small bites-- sandwiches and pastries. They are very small. I did enjoy myself and the ambiance.

Absolutely a fantastic place to shop and their Christmas decorations are over the top! Great customer service with knowledgeable employees that really cater to the shoppers! I purchased a handbag there and the experience was great! It's always a pleasure shopping here and I highly recommend you stopping by when i'm New York.

Sent me a defective item with missing parts. Granted it took me a while to open the item but now they are refusing to fix the issue. I'm assuming someone working there must've stolen the item and resealed the box. Absolute joke! Never buying from them again.

I've been trying for years to get Bergdorf to change my shipping address. Apparently I'm the only customer who has ever moved. Online will not allow me to change my shipping address, it always says " something went wrong on our end". When I call they always tell me it cannot be changed for "security" reasons. It's literally the most irritating and outrageous customer service scenario I've ever had. In this day of technology Bergdorf still can't figure out how to change a shipping address, Done!

This review is for the mens store across the street from the flagship building. Immediately upon entering the store, a young man who was assisting a customer with shoes immediately greeted me warmly and asked if he could direct me anywhere and I told him I was just looking around. The Goyard case immediately caught my eye and an associate, Antonia, flawlessly walked her way over to me and greeted me and showed me couple pieces. I did not intend to buy anything but I decided to treat myself to a little card holder. She showed me several options and pulled out a gorgeous grey one which is my favorite color and I couldn't pass it up as Goyard is pretty hard to buy in LA where I live. During the sale, she continued to converse with me and get to know me. She handed me off to another associate named Jeffrey who rung me up, insisted on gift wrapping the item for me and gave me a tissue as he noticed my nose was a little runny. I have worked in luxury retail for years in Beverly Hills and shopped all over the world and had my best shopping experience buying a wallet at Bergdorf's. Five stars for Antonia, Jeffrey, and everyone working on the first floor at Bergdorf's mens store.

I had the best customer service here in the entire store. I tried on so many handbags and perfumes with excellent service with recommendations from the assistants. Phenomenal high end fashion from purses, clothes, jewelry, you name it. I had a wonderful time in this store and will be back again!!!
