It started out as such a fun place to explore, with all its different types of foods, products and produce of every kind. It was like I'd gone to healthy heaven.
It's too bad that the customer service skills weren't better. I called in recently, to find out what their return policy was and received an extremely rude woman who answered - TWICE, since I had to call back after the first 'bout of rudeness.
The first phone call was answered with a 9am - CLICK. So I called back and asked about their return policy, only to receive a "I heard you. We open at 9am. CLICK. Again I called back and received what sounded like someone raising their voice to sound like a woman, but they weren't a woman, and when I asked about their return policy, they asked for the specifics of the product, and said it was a 30-day return policy.
When I finally made it to the store to return the products, I was given push back on the bulk food item I was trying to return. The woman was trite about the whole issue. I asked if they could put up a sign near or above the bulk foods saying these were final sale or not-returnable and received a selfish response that it didn't matter, because they don't take the bulk food back because they themselves don't keep it, they throw it away.
I tried to explain that if a customer knew that they bulk food wasn't returnable that they would have the option to buy it or not, whether they were okay with being stuck with a non-consumable product, as well as realize they wasted their money. But the store supervisor, at the time, seemed insistent that it was more important that the store didn't lose money, but that it was okay that the customer did, by not being well-informed.
It doesn't make sense, to not allow the customer at least the option to be informed, that purchasing these items means they cannot be returned. I mean, why not? It's good customer service skills, and it shows that the store really does care about their customers. But this store obviously sees things from a different perspective, their own and their own bottom line. Their profit.
If I do ever go back to patronize this store, then I will definitely not be buying any bulk foods. It does make me wonder, what other items in the store are not refundable, that I will be stuck with or feel like I've wasted my money on, that the store refuses to let their customers know so that they (the store) doesn't lose money, but it's okay that the customer does.
