Consider the simple loaf of bread. Lots of shapes, lots of colors, lots of varieties, lots of sweet and savory flavors.
So how good can a hunk of bread possibly be? Well ever hear of that TV show on Food Network called "The Best Thing I Ever Ate"?
In Season 6 (way back in 2011) panelist Gabriella Gershenson confessed that a slice of Bread and Chocolate was indeed the best thing she ever ate! That's pretty high praise, no? Oh, and in case you were wondering, that chocolate chip bread was made right here at the Berkshire Mountain Bakery.
What a fun place! When you walk in you will see sales counters to your left and right and refrigerated and frozen cases straight ahead. On the left is where the beauteous loaves are on display, and they sure a sight to behold.
Want some variety in your breads? Check these out - their Famous Bread and Chocolate, Cherry Pecan, Multigrain, Olive, Peasant French, Potato Onion, Raisin, San Francisco, Sesame, Spelt, Flax, and Whole Wheat.
If a whole loaf is too much for your household, try a baguette or a mini ciabatta loaf (Plain, Cheese & Herb, Dark Chocolate, Jalapeno & Cheese, or Olive and Rosemary).
They sell frozen pizzas and pizza shells, all sorts of sweets and pastries, and a "Day Old" Section where we scooped some croissant croissants that seemed super fresh to us.
We bought two loaves -the Bread and Chocolate went straight to the freezer for Thanksgiving, and we are about a third of the way to polishing off a loaf of Cherry Pecan; which is absolutely terrific.
What a fun place to shop !
