More like 4.5 stars. Great neighborhood joint just off the loin. Staff is nice and helpful with questions. Good portion/price ratio. Doner meat had lots of flavor and good body, rice is smooth and buttery, salad could stand on its own with fresh veggies and a light vinaigrette that complemented well. Pita looked store bought but tasted very good. Chill neighborhood vibe and open fairly late. This makes our go to for the area

I thought the portion size of the Doner was a little bit small. The fries were probably oversized portion lol. I got the beef and lamb doner and it was super good. Good flavor. Got an order a fries and they have some type of seasoning on top that was absolutely fantastic. I really do think they should add a couple more ounces of meat and veggie. Every doner I ever got when I was in Turkey was stuffed and fat.

The Best Kebab in Town! Berlin Doner and Kebab House is an absolute gem! The moment you walk in, the aroma of fresh ingredients and sizzling meat instantly gets your appetite going. I ordered the classic doner kebab, and it was hands-down the best I’ve ever had. The meat was perfectly seasoned, the bread was warm and soft. The sauces? Out of this world—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The portions are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly and quick. You can tell they care about delivering quality food with a smile. If you’re craving authentic, delicious kebabs, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back regularly—highly recommend!

If you are looking for authentic, true Turkish food, then this is the spot! On the corner of Sutter, this is a really great spot to come to and not only relax, but have a great meal. Came here at about 10 or 11 AM and we were one of the only people dining in for breakfast. Menu is straightforward with a good variety. We were able to just go to the register and order and the wait time for our food was not very long. Everything was well cooked and there Was so much flavor. We didn't have to add much salt or pepper. my meat lovers plate was very delicious. It was nice to have a meal I knew I would like and be able to sample off of the other two meals we ordered. We pretty much cleaned our plates. That's how good the food was! The really nice and the service is very fast so please give it a try if you're in the neighborhood

Another gem in the San Francisco. Super fresh dishes, enjoyed everything. Very reasonable prices. And if you are lucky enough, the owner will let you try special meal called Cig kofta.

I honestly think food is amazing here! Portions are fair and is being served in a good temperature. Staff is friendly, what it looks to be a family business ends up being a warm atmosphere for travelers. I think they had an issue and I couldn’t taste the Turkish coffee but would definitely come back if I have a chance. I ordered an appetizer, main course and dessert and paid 47 but trust me it was worth it.

Visiting from Portland, OR and decided to give this place a try since it was near the hotel. I got the Lamb and Beef Döner and it completely hit the spot. It's not huge but feels like the perfect size to satisfy, and feels appropriate for the price. The flavors were great, the meat was seasoned well and halfway through my meal they brought a bowl of pickled peppers which were a perfect addition to the wrap. I highly recommend this place, it did not disappoint.

We stopped at Berlin Doner & Kebab House after a chocolate factory tour because we were starving and hadn't had any real food up to that point, and what a nice little stop this was. Let's get into it.. Atmosphere - The atmosphere here is nothing crazy, but they have tables that can accommodate both small and large groups. It has the charm of a small mom & pop/husband & wife type establishment. The place seemed pretty clean overall. Service - The service here was good. The lady who took our order was friendly and our food was brought out in a reasonable time. No complaints here. Food - We got a mixed meat plate with rice and salad, and it was delicious. The meats were very good as was everything else. It also came with some piping-hot pitas which were great too. We added some of the complimentary peppers they had on the table and that was great too. A+ for the food. Overall, I'm glad we stopped by this nice little corner shop and I'd definitely return if given the opportunity. The owners are incredibly friendly! The food was excellent--we tried the beef/lamb doner, chicken kabob, and chicken doner, all of which were flavorful. The wrap is filling but not too heavy. Strongly recommend the baba ghanoush, which is smoky and flavorful. The baklava is also light, fluffy, fresh, and tasty without being too sweet. It pairs well with the Turkish tea! The space is small, clean, and pleasant, and the service is quick. Definitely worth a stop.

absolutely amazing! i went here a few days ago with my mom and my bf. we had two of the wraps (falafel and a kofte) and a lamb plate. it was delicious! also got 3 orders of fries! the people here are also so generous and kind. it was rly good service! the prices are fair and the place is clean. definitely recommend if you're in nob hill and want to get a bite to eat :-)

Not an exaggeration... the best Doner I've had since my study abroad days in Spain. Equal parts comfort food and a sneaky dose of veggies. The father and daughter working this restaurant have a lot of pride in what they do. Cannot wait to go back!

I finally got to try this spot that's in my neighborhood after walking by many times. This is such a cute small shop with lovely staff. I ordered the lamb and beef wrap and it was so delicious. It was very flavorful and I liked that they had a lot of different veggies inside. It is the right amount of filling. You don't get super stuffed, but it's not so big that you can't eat the whole thing. I definitely wanna come back and try their chicken wrap and some of their appetizers.

I had been wondering what Berlin had to do with doner and kebabs and found out later the dish had originated in Berlin by Turkish immigrants who developed the vertical rotisserie back in the 1850's. Isn't that interesting? Anyway, I noticed this spot had taken over the space that housed the vintage Golden Coffee Shop for years. I was not a fan of that greasy spoon, and there was no trace of it in its new identity. In a clean, open dining space, they offered a pretty robust selection of familiar of Middle Eastern plates, and I decided to go for their signature item, the $17.95 Lamb & Beef Doner (photo: https://yelp.to/L5vCX6_NfS). The portion was quite generous and savory good tasting like it was just shaved off the spit. It came with a scoop of rice, Israeli salad and pickled red cabbage, and a basket of warm pita wedges. Definitely worked for me. Very good quality, juicy lamb doner that was packed with veggies and bursting with flavor. Homemade yogurt drink that tasted so fresh, just all around refreshing. Overall vibe was so cool and reminded me of being back in Berlin. 10/10!

I couldn't find this place on Yelp and thought it odd that they have a "People love us on Yelp" sticker but decided to stop in and look at the menu anyway. The owner seemed like a friendly guy so I asked him what was good and he immediately carved off some of the beef / lamb kebob to give me to try (enough for a small plate actually). That won me over for a meal. I got that in a plate that came with salad, rice and hot pita triangles. I told him I love hummus but didn't want a full order so he gave me some anyway. I'm not dropping many Yelp reviews lately but places like this deserve to have public shout outs. The food is great; fresh, tasty and filling. The owners are terrific guys who take pride in their food and restaurant and it shows. It is Turkish with German influence (maybe like a Turkish place in Germany). I loved it and I look forward to going back. By the way, this place is the same place as the current name "SF Breakfast Cafe," however they have re branded as "Berlin Doner & Kebab House." I have suggested a name edit on Yelp. Go here!

Food taste is mediocre. Soup of the day has nothing inside. You'll get clear fatty broth with a piece of pita bread for $7.95. Portion of everything is very small for the price. I don't think I'll order again.

Yam! I am so happy we found this place! Doner tastes like the real deal you get in Europe! I had the lamb and beef... totally ordering it again next time! Hope they don't ruin quality in the future

Had the chicken Doner and fries and it was fantastic! First time trying Turkish food, and I was so satisfied. Great value for tasty food. Also the owner working behind the counter is so kind. Mom and pop shop, will definitely be back.

I heard about this place through the grape vine and i completely understand the hype. The combo appetizer plate was so yummy and light and the kebab was so yummy. I could eat here everyday

When we saw the new Restaurant at this location the menu look great so my friend and I decided to go in and get a bite to eat. We said hello to the lady behind the counter who didn't acknowledge this one bit we sat down she stood there with her arms holding across your chest not saying a word to us such a HATEFUL look on her face it was quite frankly hard to understand why she hated us so much we'd never met before. I can't comment on the food because I haven't eaten there but I can tell you something the lady is not at all friendly. My friend and I got up and left I've never entered a restaurant where I felt more unwelcome I don't know what the ladies problem is I suspect with an attitude like she has that this restaurant won't be around for very long.

Just stopped in for a quick bite before a concert. I got a beef and lamb döner wrap and my friend got the plate. Both were absolutely delicious! The restaurant was a very convenient spot and the staff were exceptionally friendly! Highly recommend stopping by!!

Unfortunately, the portions are very skimpy. I paid $40+ for a lamb plate and chicken plate which were both disappointing to say the least. The chicken was flavorless. The lamb was ok, but the portions for both plates were definitely on the smaller side and mid-tasting for them to charge $18+ each on DoorDash. The sauce they include is pretty good which somewhat enhanced both meals, but the chicken plate was not finished. Maybe if we dined in then we probably would have received a more fulfilling plate and probably would've been worth the price, but I do feel as tho they could have included more meat on both plates. This is solely based on my comparison to other places in the city.

SF *finally* has a kebab place worth the parking. Strong flavor, juicy without being wet and soggy, interesting sauces that can't offend, but rather complement the flavors inside. Everything was fresh and crisp, besides. Will return!

Breakfast Cafe was nice but the shop has been transformed into Doner and Kebab. So far no qualms. The salmon plate has great flavor and cooked well, the Chicken Kebab also juicy and prepared well. The Baklava was outstanding and some of the best I've had. Owners are very friendly making for an overall good experience.

The food is freshly cooked. Customer Services are amazing. The server lady is a sweetheart, she checked to make sure my soup are still hot.

The food was cold and tasted like ballz. The just take pre chopped chicken out of a metal box. I don't even know if they heated it up. Save your money and go to McDonald's - this is not Doner at all. Chicken was bland.

This restaurant was absolutely delicious! Coming into the restaurant it was a bit busy we ordered and the service was great! We met the owner, zack, he was really nice and welcoming. The food was delicious, we ordered falafel and feta rolls to try as our appetizers and it was delicious. I got the chicken doner plate and the portions were great! Chicken was delicious, salad was delicious and their sauce really tied everything altogether. I will definitely be coming back to try more! To top it off the owner gave us some baklava to try, definitely a great dessert option! Thank you for the hospitality zack I will be seeing you again soon!:)

I've been coming here since they opened and have been working my way through the whole menu. Everything I've had so far has been great! I definitely recommend the appetizer platter if you want to try a little of everything from that side of the menu. Also love the baba ganoush!

This place was delicious! I got the Shish Kebeb plate and the beef was so tender and juicy, it melts in your mouth. The sauces added even more flavor. Everything was so fresh and the Turkish Tea was very tasteful and soothing. The service was also excellent. They answered all of our questions and gave us really good recommendations and information about their menu. Would definitely come back again.

I had the Kofte plate and baklava and turkish tea . It was the best i had in San Francisco. The ambiance is cool and the service was great. Also don't forget to shop turkish snacks next door at sf bakkal. Will definitely be back.

I got the shish kebab (beef), omgggg beef is so soft that melt in your mouth and have that nice smokey scent. The salad is so fresh; I ate here a few times already and salads alway feel fresh. The service is 10/10, so friendly and kind. I love the food, the service, the vibes. Keep in mind about the parking, but everything worth to come. Would be recommend

One of the absolute gems of SF. Incredible food and incredible service, for a reasonable price. The hummus was the best I've had in the city, and the owner brought us complimentary tea after our meal. He and the staff couldn't be kinder. You won't regret going there.
