"This Koreatown dessert shop sells excellent taro and matcha soft serve. It comes out of the machine in the round cylinder style, as opposed to the more common, spiky style. We wish we had a better soft serve vocabulary to describe this. They also sell a bunch of ginseng products in the store, in case you’re looking for ginseng products." - hannah albertine, emma, bryan kim, katherine lewin, hillary reinsberg, matt tervooren

"At the corner of 32nd Street and 5th Avenue, there is a magical spot called Besfren. It’s a small Korean pastry shop, and it’s the rare sort of place where the food is highly photogenic and also worth eating. Try an iced chiffon donut and leave with at least one triple chocolate cookie. You should also order some soft serve. We don’t care if it’s winter." - Bryan Kim

Google
I was shocked at the impressive selection of Korean skincare products Besfren Beauty has. The staff is knowledgeable and recommends the best products for your skin type. The products are reasonably priced, and have a lot of great promotions! I can't wait to visit again and restock!!

I enjoyed my visit here but to be clear this is a very skincare forward store. The shade ranges of makeup is not very large, but there is a variety of products. To be fair, kbeauty struggles with shade inclusivity but even in the brands that I know carry my shade—i couldn’t find those in store. Not super large in that sense. I liked picking up some cute face masks and lotions but this is definitely a more trendy place. The products they carry are very famous online and less niche. The customer service was great, the people inside were very knowledgeable about skincare specifically and recommended a sunscreen for me that wouldn’t give me a white cast. Visit if you’re interested in a fun little treat for self care. Don’t expect to do some intense shopping, especially to buy makeup products.

Google
The worst shop ever definitely not recommended! If you wanna get paid for things you are touching and opening without using this is the rudest policy ever ! All products in Korean nothing in English ! Staff very rude and made you pay for items for no reason ! Worst- worst

Google
The location is not at the heart of K-town so it’s less crowded than compared to other shops in a near by blocks. Since it’s not crowded, I can feel at ease to roam testing and swatching products. They also have napkins for me to clean the testing swatches on my hands. They carry a wide range of products from make up to skin care. The price is higher than online fore sure, but it’s understandable since the rent in NYC is high. However pricing is similar to what near by shops; some items might be cheaper or higher for a few dollars. They offer membership so it’s worth coming back whenever I stop by in K-town.

Passed by this shop and hopped in to buy few things for wife . Amazing products . My wife loved their body cream and body washes . Face pics are good too. A little bit expensive than normal stores, but I think it’s worth it . Good service and helpful .. Will surely recommend this to others .. 👍👍👍👍

Google
Not going there ever!! The girl was standing by the counter on her phone. When I asked her about the cosrx product she wanted to reply “that depends on your skin” with an attitude. The only plus side is the store looking neat and nice, the negative side is there are condescending and ill-mannered girls working there.

Google
This place is the most unethical store you can find. The clerks are unfriendly , the charge for a bag when you spend over $200 in the store and the prices are 30% more than online. Why buy from here?

Google
Amazing range of products and prices and extremely helpful employees! I went in there with sensitive skin dealing with winter dryness and the person working there the afternoon of Friday, the 15th (2023) lined up a range of products for me and took the time to say which combinations would be best and told me what was on sale. There was no pressure at all, just really helpful advice. My skin feels great and I'll be back!

Yelp
Fun skincare shop with plenty of different products! They have a $1 facemask rack and plenty of shampoos, makeup and lotions available for purchase.

Yelp
Feels like I'm in shopping Asia when I pop out. Large selection. I love the lighting. Kinda small but it's New York City. The clerk was very helpful and enthusiastic to move the line along. Always have good products in stock you can't find elsewhere. Affordable!

Yelp
As of August 2021 during COVID-19: Besfren is officially ONLY a cosmetics shop but was housed next door to their dessert shop before 2020, so some images of matcha soft serve and other sweets might pop up in the image gallery. This location is the OG of the Besfren brand, the other location now only in Flushing. The shop is exclusively a Korean cosmetics and beauty shop, carrying brands from Skinfood, Laneige, Missha, and much more of various price points. They no longer carry certain items due to demand in this location which is why I am no longer a frequent shopper (various liquid liners and eye accessories said to not be carried due to COVID/demand). They also don't give any samples like the other Korean cosmetic shops in Ktown. However, I do like that they have a wide selection that may be the one you're looking for, especially face masks. The prices are decent but you don't get any rewards from being a loyal customer nor do they do sales/promotions. Overall, if you are browsing in Ktown, it's a fun shop to visit, or if you're looking for something specific that they have, this might be the right K-beauty shop for you. Customer service is always helpful and nice. Accepts cash, card, and Applepay. Masks required inside. No bathroom. Swipe that card!

Yelp
Yikes, we got 4 different masks to try and all four of us felt itchy. My face broke out terribly the next day, so I can't say I'd recommend this shop. Furthermore it looks like they have issues with labeling you can't trust- and if I want to buy something that says SPF 50 but really it is SPF 19..that's a problem.

Doreen T.

Yelp
They have a varieties of Korean skincare products. I was looking for a toner that is a spray mist version and the worker was helpful and recommended 2 different brands for me to chose from. I was also interested in ginseng and I got some night cream and serum that was on sale for Mother's Day weekend May 2022. I knocked off one star because they did not offer any samples even though I spend over $60.

Yelp
really nice selection of sheet masks! i got a bunch for 1 dollar. very friendly staff as well. its a small store but they have a lot of different products. i'm just glad they have reasonable sheet masks.

Yelp
I gave a 1star review and somehow they got it removed. Rewriting it. I'm surprised Yelp would let businesses manipulate ratings/reviews. Yelp has been reliable source of reviews for me thus far knowing they are more accurate and honest than google reviews. Horrible experience. Sales associates are very rude. I would not come back here.

Yelp
July 31, 2019 (Wednesday night). One star for the variety of products. But yeah, the service here is too pressured. My friend & I walked in and the guy said "we are closing soon". And it was literally 10:16, like relax son. And then the cashier which was a girl in a ponytail said "We are closing the register, so no cash". Like damn okay, you counted sales of cash pretty early and ya don't want to restart because you gotta dip to go home, I get it. So we left because we felt unwelcomed and the way they phrase their words and their body language towards us conveyed to us as rude. Not coming back. Don't come here, unless you want to feel judged and be treated with sas =3 Plus! Can't forget that one time they almost sold me expired face cleansers.

Yelp
Awesome find. They got items that I could no longer find in other Korean beauty stores. Like the Tony Moly banana hand cream which I love but I believe they no longer make it. And the Chococat cocoa flavored hand lotion. I been a Chococat fan since the early 2000s. And if you are a Chococat aficionado you know that Chococat items are very few made and or are hard to find. There are plethora of all other standard Korean beauty brands/items in the store. Now that I know of this store I will frequent it often. P.S. Every time you shop you collect points/$ toward future purchases. Standard formula for the Korean beauty brand stores.

Yelp
I want to buy a B.B. cream with right color and I tried to choose between two matte Etude house creams. Unfortunately, they misplaced the product testers so I got the Vanilla instead of Tan as they put Tan's tester in front of Vanilla. It's impossible to know which one is Vanilla or Tan from the testers as they don't have English (see the attached picture), so the only way to tell is by the tester's positions. Unfortunately, nobody told me the positions were wrong, or checked if I got the right color during checkout, so I only found out that I got the wrong color after I opened the bottle, and ... the worst part comes: they had a short and strict return policy of unopened items in addition to a short 7 day window. Which means, "sorry dear customers", "No returns!" However, I really don't think this is my fault... So I went back to see if they can exchange it and unfortunately they said no. So I went ahead and tried to point out their labeling issues here is what I get as response: It is your fault for not able to ask for help in the store, or specific help... and they went even further by saying that it is not their obligation to label things correctly in the store and said that there is label but unfortunately, shame on you, it's in Korean! (Great! You admitted that there is not enough labeling in English) As this is key information to make buying decision, hidden in a language that most customers won't be able to understand is unacceptable in any country's consumer law. So when I ask them to label them, the assistant said back to me: "You are a racist! we are a Korean store, and we can do whatever we'd like regarding the products, and we don't have to label them in English just because we are conducting business in US" This is the most absurd customer service I had ever seen: when it is their own fault for not labeling correctly in store, they blame their customer for not asking for help, for not returning in their 7 day unopened window, for asking for correct labeling, and they went ahead and INSULT their customers. Funny. Later on, I also found out that the exact same products was on sale for ~5 dollar less on their website but I was charged the full price in store. Confirming the experience that other customers had with their inconsistent pricing between online and offline. Throughout the process, there is no single apologies from this store, the staff is rude, arrogant and keep blaming the issue on other customers for misplacing the testers. When you can get the same products with cheaper and reasonable price why bother to come in and receive bad treatment from them?

Alexia G.

Yelp
Staff was friendly, and store is small. They have a lot of Korean face products and creams. Some make up as well. I felt compared to a lot of the competition nearby, a lot of the brands sold here were for less at other stores nearby. Next door, they have an adorable cafe with beautiful desserts and lattes!

Ani S.

Yelp
Always find at least 1 fantastic face or foot mask, super cheap. The staff are helpful if I ask, but never bother me or make me feel like I am obligated to buy something. They always give me free samples and make me feel like they personally want me to be there. Good Inventory, open late, peppy, young but I intimidating employees.

Cameron M.

Yelp
Hidden next door to the Besfren pastry and dessert cafe, this Korean skincare shop is a staple in my k-beauty diet! My personal favorite finds here are a great selection of Skin Food brand products, Elensilia, Dr Jart, and lots of masks at really reasonable prices! Much, much better prices than silly SokoGlam or Sephora. The staff is super friendly and helpful!!

Bianca B.

Yelp
This place is really good and they have a lot of BTS skin care products. Highly recommend.

Yelp
LOVE LOVE LOVE Besfren Beauty! It recently opened next door to my favorite dessert place, BESFREN. Korean beauty products are all the rage right now, so their grand opening specials beckoned me in and I was amazed at the deals as well as the service. During grand opening, they had several buy one get one and buy one get two deals. I got 3 boxes of sheet masks (30 total masks) for $35 - a steal! I also bought several Llang items at BOGO. The service here was great. Being a noob at Korean products, the staff happily showed me around the store, answered all my questions, and recommended several products without pushing me to buy anything. I left the store with over $100 in products (saved a ton of money) and after a few days of using the products, I'm seeing a difference in my skin. They also have a free loyalty program/membership program here 2% in points valid for your next purchases. Upon my purchase, I was granted with a bunch of free samples, too. Samples = awesome. If you're looking for Korean skin, hair, and beauty products, this is your one stop shop. Forget The Face Shop and Tony Moly and all that. Definitely forget Sephora, which is starting to pull in more Korean brands. Will definitely be back! Totally obsessed.

Evelin F.

Yelp
Glad I found this shop in K-town, it's right beside a cafe that's own by them. They sell a variety of Korean sheet masks with prices ranging from as low as $1. They also have a membership program that you'll be able to collect points. They currently have 50% off for their Papa recipe masks -- be sure to check the expiry date since most of them are expiring soon. They also sell other facial products with brands such as Innisfree, etude house and etc. The staffs who work there are friendly and helpful.

Alice K.

Yelp
BesFren (the bakery that sells those too pretty to eat chiffon donuts) has opened up a beauty shop! For those looking for Korean beauty supplies, you'll find various Korean makeup brands that sells masks, moistures, makeup tools, and etc. I don't buy Korean products in the US cause stores usually hike up the price due to import fees, but couldn't resist on the items here. I ended up walking out of the store with an Elizavecca Green Piggy Collagen Pack, Gummy Bear Hand Lotion, and Elensilia Escargot Original Repair Cream (tried all of them at the store before making my decision). Friendly staff, free samples when you buy something, and compared to the other beauty store on K-Town the prices here are a bit better. Totally recommend checking this place out

Yelp
My skin has improved dramatically thanks to some careful research on products I want to add to my arsenal, namely the COSrx master pimple patch, galactomyces and AHA exfoliant, and it wouldn't really be possible or as easy as it's been without Besfren. Great spot for Korean skincare, and the prices are better than at Kosette and maybe oo35mm. Staff is not only knowledgeable but also offered to make me samples if I brought my own containers when I wasn't sure about a certain product. I even jokingly said I should probably just get the snail mucin, but the woman helping me was so patient and offered that maybe a sample is safer, so I can know whether my skin is going to react badly. She even wrote my name down so that her colleague the next day could remember to take care of me. What service! Prices are fair, products are authentic and fresh. I am surprised that this store isn't more mobbed. I've been to their location in flushing too, which is bigger. I find the staff at Besfren and oo35mm have great skincare knowledge and courteous customer service, which is important when I am feeling lost in front of a bunch of beauty products. This is a much calmer and more thoughtful shopping experience, which is not only up my alley, but is different from the hyped up / clubby vibes I get at Sephora.

Jessica R.

Yelp
What a cute store! I really like Korean skincare products and was happy to find a place that carries a lot of the products I use. It's a small store but they have a good variety of items from makeup, sheet masks, toners ...you name it. I usually shop online for these products thinking it's cheaper but their store prices are comparable to those online. I didn't get her name but the young lady working the floor was very sweet and helpful. She gave me some recommendations and free toner samples to try. The young lady at the register was also friendly as well. They also ask if you want a membership card which accumulates points as you use it.

Susanna L.

Yelp
I've been a loyal ginseng latte consumer of next door's Besfren Cafe since 2013 so of course I had to see what their beauty store was all about! The staff are polite, knowledgeable, and are not pushy. They seem to genuinely want to help you with your skin concerns and shopping needs. I have extremely sensitive skin so I'm always cautious and skeptical of any new skin care product that I introduce to my regime. I ended up buying/hauling some Llang hand cream, innisfree sheet masks, Leaders & Mediheal sheet masks, and a bubble clay pore charcoal mask. I'm already seeing my skin glow and will be back for more! Free samples if you spend over a certain threshold. Skip Sephora; BestFren Beauty has everything you need and more.

Olivia C.

Yelp
Normally I'd give this 5 stars. Seriously love their products and have been using for years. Every brand in there has its benefits. The reason for this 1 star review: Besfren has an online store called masksheets.com. It is linked directly in the Besfren site. Everything online is cheaper. It's at least $0.50 for cheaper face masks to $$ for some of their other products. If you're planning to buy a lot and stock up, online is the way to go. $3.99 for shipping out to California. I hate it when stores and online prices differ. Shows lack of organization and leaves a bad impression for me regarding the store.

Viviann L.

Yelp
I like this cosmetic/beauty shop. Small but pretty cute and decent prices. Quite a few different brands and types of mask faces with different benefits. I really like the hydrating mask so far. Was also on sale so super good deals. Much sure to check it out especially when there's a sale going on.

Dani S.

Yelp
So, I love k-beauty. I was so excited when I heard about this stores' opening. The store has a nice, neat layout with walls filled with products. They have a full wall of just different types of facemasks, single one and box ones. They organize stuff buy brands which is great because that makes shopping a whole lot easier. They carry Skinfood, Lang, tony moly, leaders, mediheal, 3ec, and that's all I really paid attention to. They do have more brands I just don't remember. The service is so friendly! They aren't on top of you but when you ask questions about a product your intrested in, the sales girls are really knowledgeable about the products which is great. I also liked that they recommend you other brands, so you expand your knowledge of k-beauty products, if that makes sense. Also, they let you test stuff. Don't be afraid to test stuff out they have a sink (... that was weird wording 0.o) I will not stress how happy getting samples makes me. I feel like I'm in korea or something. They gave me a few samples (as you can guess lol) which was nice because I didn't have to ask for it like in some other stores. Definitely coming back here! Oh, they have some promotional sales so you should check that out as well.

Suzanna H.

Yelp
First time coming here, and it was a great experience. The store has a mix of brands including missha, etude house, llang, skinfood, tonymoly, among others. They were very helpful with their recommendations but did not try to push you into buying things you didn't want, the girl that helped me was super sweet (wish I got her name to give her a compliment). There were some deals going on including buy1 and get1 free, and some 30 percent off on other products. Of course a great topping on the cake is that they gave free samples with the purchase. Fyi: $10 minimum to use credit cards

Yelp
This place has THE worst return policy. I bought the Innisfree eye primer at the recommendation of Seo Woo, who insisted that it worked. Preface: I have oily eyelids and no technique works; wiping my eyelids dry before applying any product, applying a setting powder with a sponge or a brush on top of eye primer, using finely-milled designer eyeshadows, waterproof eyeliners and mascara could not prevent product smearing onto my contact lenses. That is how oily my eyelids are. Now, back to my experience at Besfren Beauty: Seo Woo insisted that the Innisfree eye primer would work. I asked, "Are you absolutely sure this will work for me?" I tried it with every combination of technique I could think of. When I called in about the return policy, which states, "No exchange or credit for used items unless it is faulty." This eye shadow primer is faulty! The girl insisted there are no returns or exchanges if they are opened, regardless of how faulty the product is. When I tried to contact the manager, it sounded like the associate picked up the phone and then hung up. If customer service is a concern of yours, your best bet is to bring your business to an establishment with good customer service, like Sephora or Target. Atleast both places are increasing their stock of K-Beauty products, without having to resort to a return policy that is equally as faulty as its products.

Ka L.

Yelp
Though I find many of the things I complained about in my previous review are still true, I find that this place is improving with their samples-with-purchase. Once in a while, they offer me a full-sized item for free (because it expires in a month lol). They've been putting their good masks up for the Buy 1 get 2 Free deal which puts each box around $11-12 . Also, I noticed some pretty competitive prices when it comes to certain items: DR JART SHAKE & SHOT MASKS: $9 *sold for $12 each at Lovue and Sephora. TONY MOLY DELIGHT TONY TINT: $4 *sold for $6 at the old TonyMoly down the street, and $8 at TonyMoly in New World Mall Here's what I wouldn't buy from Besfren: Anything CosRX - Besfren's collection is not only very limited, but each item is sold for $2-6 dollars higher than what can be found on Amazon or Lovue. MISSHA TIME REVOLUTION FTE: Sold at Besfren for $39. Compare to Amazon's $28. The Mist version is also upmarked by ~$10 Anyways, that's all I've noticed so far. Good luck!

Michelle H.

Yelp
They have so many well-priced products and brands here! I was overwhelmed by all the options (it was sheet masks galore!) so I bombarded the sales associate with so many questions, but she was SO patient and SO helpful. I ended up with a pretty big haul and then came back again later because I realized I forgot something! The sales associate never tried to up sell me or anything - she gave me exactly what I asked for and told me her personal favorites, which I really appreciated. I signed up for a membership even though I don't even live in NY, but this has become my new favorite beauty store and will be sure to come back whenever I'm here!

Hwihyeon K.

Yelp
This is my favorite place! They have a lot of Korean beauty brands, so you can compare items so ealisy. That's why I love Besfren beauty. Plus, they have many sales which are so good to stock up!!! I usually asked my sister to send Korean sheet masks from Korea to here until I find this place. Now, I don't need to do that!! And I'm usually satisfied with the items I've bought from here so far. I like Jayjun, Innisfree, Etude house, papa recipe and Elensilia. I highly recommend this place! they have some branchs in Manhattan and Queens.

Traci L.

Yelp
I came home last night with a box of small cake rolls from the bakery next door, and my partner pointed at the bag and laughed and said "Best Friend!" Yes! I never read it that way before. Anyway. I'm not much of a skincare or makeup nerd, but I do love to work on my quest to find the best hair products for my pixie cut. A friend of mine turned me on to Japanese and Korean hair products, and I'm glad they did. Black Bean Fixx Hard Wax is the best for my straight fine hair. Not too stiff, but it holds where I sculpt it, and I can continue to move it throughout the day, if I choose. It washes out with regular shampoo, too. Love it!

Tiffany N.

Yelp
This is the store of my dreams! Surprisingly enough, we don't have a lot of Korean beauty stores in California, so I was really happy to stop by this store! Although it may seem small, it's larger in comparison than a lot of korean beauty stores around NY. The store is also very well lit and has a sink for you to test some of the products out! Their $1 face mask stand is such a steal and I wish I had purchased more! They also had a large selection of paper, silicon, and gel-like face masks that were very unique. Although I found their skincare very reasonably priced, I felt that the cosmetics were a little more pricey than I would like. However, you're guaranteed the authentic product and you're able to test it in store! The employees were also very friendly and helpful without being pushy. We had a great conversation with them. Stop by if you have a chance! My only regret is using a carry-on luggage to fly home, rendering me unable to buy any face products larger than 3.4 fl oz (aka everything). Stock up on the face masks, especially the $1 milk masks!

Daniella L.

Yelp
I usually get my mask from here, I really enjoy them. I know a couple of times I bought mask as gifts and my friends LOVED them. As for their beauty products (make-up) pretty fresh and feels natural!

Elaine H.

Yelp
As a big facial mask consumer, I am always on my way searching for better deals/larger selection Korean masks, and today I was more than happy to discover that BesFren, once my favorite teappuccino place, has opened a new cosmetic store next door. Since it has just opened not long ago, masks were still on promotion - lots of buy one get one free, and lots of things that I remember I used to buy from Taiwan (Too cool for school - the cosmetic lunch box). Love this place, even though I always ended up with more than I needed, yet definitely all I wanted.

Yashoda S.

Yelp
It was my first time in here. Amazing selection of products. I felt the sheet masks were pricey but they had a good choice of other products too.

Wendy M.

Yelp
Finally. Finally... finally! I have found this store in Koreatown. Besfren Beauty carries a wide range of Korean beauty brands such as Etude House, Innisfree, SkinFood, Tonymoly, and more! The items vary from $1 to $100+, so there's quite a diversity in the products Besfren carries. * From my haul yesterday, I spent $41.92 on five (5) items. I would consider this not bad since walking out of a Sephora made my wallet $60 short, with only two items in my hand. Their mark-up is not bad at all, compared to other retailers. In fact, I'm definitely coming back here because the prices are great. * Service was excellent. *Important, there is a Besfren Cafe next door* When I walked into the shop, there was few people inside except one employee and a customer. As time went by, more came and I'm assuming, an employee from the Cafe side came to assist with the business. The kind, youthful ladies were very friendly in helping me find the product I needed. * The shop is very clean and there's also a sink with soap and paper towels. I absolutely love Beauty stores that provide a sink because sometimes you want to get that product off your hand. * Most Asian beauty stores, as for the ones I've shopped in, would provide you with samples. I understand stores aren't obligated to give out samples but this store could improve on the samples they give. For a $40+ purchase, you would expect more than one tiny sample, right? This isn't a huge issue but I'm only saying. * My purchase! Etude House My Beauty Tool Lovely Etti Hair Band (I love this) SkinFood Pineapple Peeling Gel (awesome exfoliant- thank you to the sales lady who recommended this) SkinFood Rice Brightening Foam (bought this bc of the bubble bubble maker) A'pieu Bubble Bubble Maker Hidden Solutions Edge Line Patch + 1 small sample of Llang Redgin Mineral Oil * You should definitely apply to be a member at Besfren Beauty! Get 2% back on your purchase in the form of points (or for a lack of better words, store credit). Then for your future purchases, you can apply your balance to save some money! Since I spent $41.92, I earned 84 points (equivalent to $0.84). Hey! That's not a lot of points but you're still going to save some $$. BONUS: Easy to carry shopping baskets! Testers! They have TESTERS, everyone! YES! Display screens everywhere advertising products (spotted the beautiful Kim Sae-ron on there). 5 STARS! I definitely suggest you to drop by this store or maybe even like me, travel an hour to Manhattan to snatch awesome items at Besfren Beauty! :D I am a very happy customer.

Pam W.

Yelp
I was searching for a beauty shop that carry different brands with reasonable prices and here comes besfren beauty! I had always prefer buying skincare in person rather than online but a lot of NYC beauty stores always overprice the products. This particular beauty shop has reasonable prices and also carry tons of different skincare brand that you would find only online which is a bonus. I came in for just a moisturizer but I came out with a bagful of items. I love how they have deals such as 1+1, 30%off, and $1 mask. The associates are extremely helpful especially when you're lost in what brand to get. If you want reasonable prices and Korean beauty I assure you this is the store to go! Hopefully this store will last and will continue to have reasonable prices on their products. I will definitely revisit to buy their mask products!

Robby R.

Yelp
Stopped by this cute little shop because I wanted to buy a bunch of Korean face masks! The interior was very clean and bright. It was filled with various Korean skin products ranging from skincare to makeup. There were so many masks and had great deals such as $1 or $2 masks. The staff was friendly and the cashier was this cute Korean guy. Thought you all should know lol

Yelp
I'm so happy this beauty store opened in k-town! I saw it a few months ago when they were having their grand opening sales, but unfortunately didn't have time to wander in and missed out. They have a section in the front of items that are at clearance price (50-75% off!) and a good selection of Llang face masks at $1 each. Beyond that, there are a lot of products that aren't available in other stores or only online, so its nice to be able to sample them before purchase. You can even find some tonymoly products for less money than they are if you go over to the actual TonyMoly store. I ended up buying an innisfree primer and the skinfood pineapple peel. Even though they are a few dollars more than you can find them for online, I always think the experience of going into the store, testing products, and having instant gratification is worth a little extra. You can also sign up for a card that gives you free samples and I think points. Its a nice plastic card too, not a paper one I will definitely lose in 2 days. Overall I will definitely be back to check out what is on clearance or sample products whenever I'm in the area.

Yelp
K-beauty heaven!!!!! I think I'm addicted. I love sheet masks and they have so many types to choose from here as well as other beauty products. I originally came for just sheet masks but I ended up buying a bunch of ish. The staff was super helpful, as I had a bunch of questions about the products I was unfamiliar with. A helpful tip for when you get home is to download the Google translate app for you can read the instructions on the products (written in Korean).

Yelp
Went here again on my trip to NYC and I went to the BTS Jin birthday event and got a goodie bag after you spend $25 or more, it had a really good value of things. I like there products but in my opinion a few of the workers could work on being a little more friendly. Also please double check your receipt, I bought a pack of masks and it was supposed to be $15 but instead it rang up $35 but they quickly fixed it and returned back my $ that I was overcharged.

Yelp
I was happy to find this place on a recent trip to New York! I stopped in twice: Once to browse, and once to purchase a few products. Both times, the staff members were very kind and helpful. The products I purchased are of good quality, too.

Yelp
Such a cute little shop very affordable prices and a good variety of skincare lines. The only downside to me was the tax but I can't complain much bc it is manhattan I definitely recommend

Yelp
Amazing shop. When the sales associates ask if you need help, it's so they can sincerely help you get the product you're looking for rather than to push a sale. I really appreciate that they have some harder to find brands in more expanded context (Etude Houde, specifically, in my experience.) Definately tops the list on my "must shop" K-Beauty stores in the area now.

Yelp
Mask heaven! Any and every kind of mask can be found here. Mask with escargot and placenta? Check. Mask for lips? Check. Mask for hair? Check. This is a small shop but with so many things to look at, consider and buy. Great deals too!

Yelp
It was okay. I went in because of the cute items they have but was disappointed that the charcoal mask was sold out. The staff was okay too. I guess i just expect to browse alone but i was followed around and when I looked at anything at all, it was taken from hands. I guess they have a hand off policy... i wasn't aware of that. Anyways - i bought the cute pocket bunny mist that i when in for. I think next time I'll just go to nature republic. They have the same cute packaging same as here. Ill find the charcoal mask on- line.

Yelp
Besfren is literally the best store I've been to! So many great products and employees are super helpful. They also have pretty good sample products to try too. Will definitely be going back again soon to stock up on face masks!

Yelp
I love this place soooooo much!! The workers were a huge help, they really knew the products. The prices were great. Inside is just very clean and pleasing to be inside. This is basically a sephora for all things l-beauty. The cafe next door had some delicious cake and friendly service. I was doing really good at saving money while in New York until I got to this store. It's just one of those places where you walk in and immediately want to buy every single thing there. I really wish I had a store like this back home, in LA. Tip: If you have an obsession for k-beauty, try not to pass out from excitement.

Yelp
This store is one of my favorite go to store for any k-beauty products. I love their sheet masks (sometimes they have sales for $1 masks) which is def a plus. The store itself isn't big but they have alot of products. Even ones you can't find anywhere else except for amazon. The price's are pretty reasonable. I love how I don't have to pay for shipping since I don't have to order anything online or have to wait for it to get delivered to my house. I highly recommend this store if you need any korean beauty products. They have alot of brands ranging from innisfree, skinfood, dr. jart etc. I really love all their products and once again, this is my go to store. The staff's are super helpful and informative. If I have a question, I can ask them and they have an answer for me. Love Love Love!!

Yelp
Horrible customer service and return policy. I purchased a product--a chemical exfoliant meant to be used weekly--that ended up irritating my skin. I went back for a refund/exchange but the store manager refused because the item was purchased more than 7 days ago. At the time of purchase, I was told that I could return, in case the product irritated my skin. The sale rep never disclosed that the product must be returned within 7 days, even if a return is due to a skin irritation. Had I known this policy, I wouldn't have shopped here. Mind you, I bought a product that is supposed to be used once a week! Lastly, as others have said, mark-ups are high. You can find all of their products online for much cheaper and with better return policies. Shop online or go to oo35mm in Chinatown for a wider selection of brands and products.
