My first visit was great. Friendly people, great donuts and frozen coffee drinks. We enjoyed a couple mocha smoothies and I snarfed down a tasty pumpkin frosted cake donut....never had one of these before and it was great.

Moved into the area recently and was craving a donut at on my way home from work. Noticed them on Google Maps while riding my bike, and was glad I stopped in. Will definitely be back for more. They had a great selection!

Google
The front ladies are so nice and polite they genuinely care for us regulars and will remember your choices and have them ready when you are walking through the door. Fresh breakfast every single day, I appreciate this place so much!

Google

Google
It was me and my husbands first time ever going and DAMN must say better than Shipley donuts ( and they used to be my number one donut shop), must try the kolaches Especially THE SAUSAGE, EGG AND CHEESE yumm the bun it’s self is too good trust. The person who helped us was so kind as well he got the kolaches coming out of the oven. Shop was nice and clean and they are bilingual there for those who need it.

The staff is very nice! The donuts and crossiants are so good! A dozen and 2 sausage cheese crossiants came out at 20.33

Love the plain cake and glazed donuts, have tried cinnamon roll too good. Live the ham and Swiss kolache, the brisket and bacon egg and cheese.

Yelp
Solid kolaches spot off of Hilcroft and Braeswood. We stopped by after seeing it from the bayou trail. There is interior seating and the plaza that it's located in is actually pretty neat and organized. There's plenty of parking and the parking lot is in good shape without potholes and whatnot. The menu is a bit redundant and overwhelming and I'd recommend streamlining it to help overhead. We got the jalapeño sausage and cheese kolache and the sausage was at least better than a normal hot dog weenie so that's a plus. Their items are around $2.50-$3.00 per kolache so it's not super cheap but the quality seems a bit better than other shops that are a bit less expensive. We got 3 items and it came out to roughly $8 after tax so I'd say you do pay for what you get. We'll be back to try out some of their other items next time.

Yelp
I've had the country boy jalapeño kolache, and lemon filled, glazed raised, cinnamon bun & blueberry donuts. All were very good. The sausage in the kolache was juicy and flavorful with the right amount of heat (for me) with the jalapeño. The bread was soft and fresh with just a little bit of sweetness...like Hawaiian bread. It was really good! The donuts were fresh, with well balanced flavor and sweetness. They were soft and perfect. Not greasy or dry. I've been to 5-6 different places. And, these are the best donuts and kolaches I've had in Houston. The service is friendly, quick and efficient. Though there was a line out the door, I was in and out with my order in less than 10 minutes. The store is clean and neat. There are several places to sit.

Yelp
Stopped by for some kolaches and donuts while biking on Brays Bayou. Plenty of parking in the plaza. They have a very extensive menu of breakfast items: kolaches, donuts, tacos, croissant sandwiches, you name it... The large kolaches runs $2.85-$3.50 each, and donuts are about $1 each. We got the jalapeño sausage with cheese, jalapeño K.B with cheese and glazed donut. The glazed donut was light and fluffy. The kolaches reminds me of the Buc-ee's kolaches (a roadtrip must have for me), but with even better dough. There are couple booths for indoor seating. Overall solid donut shop, would come again to try other menu items.

Yelp
The best donuts of my life? I don't think so. Best around the corner from the Air Bnb? Yes. If you've been in Texas long enough you've probably been to Shirley's. To compare the too. These are more bready, a little softer and definitely not as sweet - which I liked. The jalapeño cheese kolache was too much bread for me and not enough jalapeño. 3/5. The sprinkle and glazed donut I liked because it wasnt crazy sweet. The donuts itself was still soft without the donut being warmed up. 4/5. The two at the front counter were fast and got you on your way. There's booths in the front of you want to sit and a drive thru if you don't want to come inside. If you live nearby or are in the neighborhood I'd say give them a shot.

Yelp
The jelly filled donut was so good it made go genuinely crazy! Plus the service was really good! Rlly quick as well! The ambiance was decent! Very quiet! And also theres alottt of variation of drinks, and donuts and kolaches aswell! Definitely recommend! And also very decent prices

Yelp
Definitely the best donuts in Houston. Great Kolaches and coffee as well. My favorite is the Vietnamese coffee.
google avatar

Crystal John K.

Yelp
Super nice and clean. The donuts are great and so are the croissants and breakfast tacos!

Yelp
Best donuts. Great service. Staff very nice. They work hard. They work as fast as they can. Fast, not speedy and careless. Much care. Food great. My favorite: strawberry filled donuts. We get ham, cheese, egg croissants. Donuts, iced coffee, drinks. Place is clean, bright. Happy, inviting. Highly recommend

Yelp
The boudain kolaches are so good and fresh... don't forget the blueberry cake donuts, sausage and cheese kolaches and donut holes...always fresh and great customer service...made breakfast for my coworkers easy..

Marisa H.

Yelp
These really are the BEST donuts. My kids are super picky when it comes to donuts, and they also think these are the best. They love the plain glazed and I love the bear claw. I've also gotten the breakfast tacos, which aren't too bad. I usually order these for delivery through a food delivery app, but I did go in a couple of times. The store is small but clean and has an efficient layout. The staff is very friendly and quick. Best donuts really does serve up some amazingly warm, soft, delicious donuts.
google avatar

Megan G.

Yelp
The customer service at Best Donuts is top notch. They have been a staple of the community for quite some time and serve one of the best spicy boudin kolaches in the city, paired with a Vietnamese coffee, you've got the perfect breakfast. For those that don't want to leave their vehicles there's also a drive thru.

Yelp
I grab a dozen donuts and coffee on Sunday mornings before softball games and they are always fresh. You can see them constantly bringing new donuts from the back. Sometimes there is line but they are pretty efficient at getting people out the door. $10 for a dozen mixed donuts is a steal. The apple fritters are also really gud.

Irene M.

Yelp
horrible... I ordered food through Uber eats and the guy forgot my drink. not only that..all the food was cold. I had to warm it up, could have done that before sending it off this way. I want a refund!

Dong Kyu K.

Yelp
I saw this place and thought that the store name was a tad boastful, but man these donuts are really phenomenal. After coming here for the sixth day in a row this week, I have to say they may really have a right to claim this title. Try their Boudain Kolache and apple fritters, they are out of this world!
google avatar

Marshall P.

Yelp
Best kolache I've ever had. The cake donuts are incredible also. We will be long time customers after discovering this place 5 minutes from the house.
google avatar

Frances L.

Yelp
Amazing donuts and apple fritters! We live around the neighborhood so I've been to this place several times, usually when I'm craving something unhealthy. Recently rekindled my love for Best Donuts when my sister in laws brought over a dozen donuts and kolaches. I prefer my kolaches with more meat but the breading was really good and didn't taste like hot dog buns based on how most places make them. The donuts were amazing even 12 hours later! You cannot say that about Shipleys or other donut places as I've tasted stale donuts left at work. Support a place that makes amazing pastries and a local business! Will be going here for my donuts for good.
google avatar

Erin F.

Yelp
Love Best Donuts!! The donuts are awesome and always fresh!! We also love their bacon, egg, and cheese croissants!! They have a huge variety and the owners are so friendly and nice!!
google avatar

Nadia V.

Yelp
Moved into the area and this place was recommended. The donuts are always fresh and yummy. The cream donuts are by far the best ones I've had from any place. If you are looking for classic flavor donuts this is the place. However, I was not a fan of their breakfast tacos and their coffee was like drinking hot chocolate, it comes from a machine. But donuts are worth coming back for!!
google avatar

Chris J.

Yelp
I've started coming to this donut shop because it's awesome, and it's now beaten out Shipley's and any other donut shops I've been to in Houston. I actually bike 12 miles to get here, as it's right off the Braes Bayou Hike and Bike Trail and makes for a perfect post-ride meal. They have a little bit of everything, which I love. Croissant Sandwiches, kolaches, breakfast tacos, a variety of pastries, and of course donuts. My only complaint is that I do wish for the jalapeno and cheese kolaches that there was an actual jalapeno and cheese in there. It's just not very spicy nor very cheesy. Both the ingredients I guess come inside the sausage itself, so I don't feel like I'm getting cheese or jalapeno. I'm pretty sure it's family owned and operated, and the staff have always been very kind and helpful. And since this is currently being written in a COVID-19 Environment, I have to note: They've done a good job marking out 6 foot apart markers, wear masks and gloves, have instructions written to encourage customers to obey their spacing, have hand sanitizer at the register, a door that pushes outward when I leave, and have invested in a contact-less credit card payment device that I believe is new. All the customers have also been good about following these rules and wearing masks. I really really appreciate all this. Again, since I'm biking, I don't really have sanitizing items with me, so I appreciate feeling clean walking out of the store. I encourage you to check this place out :)

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem it puts Shipleys and Krispy Kreme to shame. Donuts are always fresh and service is great nice variety reasonably priced and kaloches are good too
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
Found this place doing a search for donuts in the area I don't know about being the best donuts that's a bold statement however the jalapeño Boudin Colotchie I had was very good very much like the ones that bakery goods has in the Heights I'm wondering if they are the Family of businesses. Didn't try the donuts but they probably are the best at least in the area.
google avatar

Josh M.

Yelp
Stop here every Friday morning with my daughter to pick up kolaches and donuts. He ladies are always really polite and prompt, which keeps any line that may occur moving pretty quickly. They have a good spread of donuts each morning and obviously keep their regulars happy, as they're often sitting, chatting and drinking coffee as they munch donuts each morning we stop in.
google avatar

Elle S.

Yelp
We love this place, and come here several times a week! The donuts and kolaches are amazing, and the staff is always extremely friendly!
google avatar

Kiana L.

Yelp
My best friend introduced me to this gem. I love coming here for a morning pick me up. The donuts are SO good. Very classic taste. My favorite things to get are the white donuts with colorful sprinkles and their kolaches. The Kountry Boyz ones are delicious and huge! Also, I'm so excited to see that they do birthday donuts!? Will def be giving that/requesting it for my next celebration.
google avatar

Helen N.

Yelp
Everything looked really good, but I ended up trying my favorite apple fritter. This wasn't my favorite apple fritter because it was a bit sweet. I would still come back for it. The outer part was nice and crunchy and the inside was like a cinnamon roll filled with apples. It was so cheap only $1! I've seen bigger fritters, but still good for the price. I really want to try their blueberry it looks so good.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
This donut shop is right next to where I live so I stop by it very often on my way to work or even on my off days. The service is super quick and friendly. The donuts and kolaches are amazing and at a really good prices. I always get a dozen donut holes and 1 to 2 Kontry Boy Kolaches. If I ever feel like being generous I would order a dozen donuts to bring to work. I used to always just go to Shipley's before I moved over here, but will now be coming here from now on :) maybe even after I move to a new place.
google avatar

Kay C.

Yelp
I love this little doughnut shop. It's family owned and operated. The ladies behind the counter always have a smile on their face and are ready to help you with you picks. I usually get a kolache and 1 glazed donut and my food has consistently been fresh and yummy. The kolache crust is perfectly baked while accompanying sausage is real, quality meat. The doughnut is always light, airy and neatly glazed. This past time around I also ordered a small cup of coffee. For $.65 it was actually pretty decent!

Matthew P.

Yelp
Been going here for about 10 years, it's the best donuts I've had, also has good coffee and spicy boudin kolache
google avatar

David P.

Yelp
This place is awesome. Donuts still under $1. With the proliferation of gourmet donut shops it's nice to know you there is still a place that makes them good and cheap. The one downside is this place sells crap coffee. If they upped their coffee game it would be an added bonus. Also, they could innovate their selection a bit.
google avatar

Schanette L.

Yelp
The BEST Kolaches in Houston. They also have the best boudin kolaches!! This is a regular spot for me and the employees are really friendly!
google avatar

Jorge A.

Yelp
A-ok sounds just about right in my book for this spot. Nothing wrong with the place at all, but nothing really blew me away. I got 3 kolaches, 2 jalapeno, sausage, and cheese, and 1 country boy with jalapeno and cheese. The sausage itself was really tasty in my opinion, but there was really hardly any cheese in them. I think maybe I'm used to most places who put cheese around the sausage, and here, after thinking that they gave me cheeseless kolaches, after eating one for a while, I did notice that it had cheese IN the sausage, but still, it was very little. Also, I had bought some for a friend and they told me I forgot to get them their sausage and cheese kolache because of how little cheese there was. She straight up thought it was just sausage and bread lol. The service was nice, but there were some complications when ordering because I believe the lady who took my order didn't completely understand me. Overall, not a bad place at all, but I won't be rushing back too soon.
google avatar

Yen Y.

Yelp
The 5 reviews were deceiving. We drove a little out of our way and it's not quite a 5 star for me. Don't get me wrong, the donuts and kolache were decent but not the best in town. This is a friendly small and matured mom and pop shop in the Meyer Land community. It's clean and the food is okay. I think the best experience is the welcoming and friendly service you get from a small business owner. I really admire the support from the community to keep this place running.
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
This is a great spot for morning coffee and the freshest baked goods in town...the owners are friendly and greatly appreciate the support give it a try
google avatar

BK E.

Yelp
My kids love this place. Nice family owned business. They have fresh donuts and kolaches every morning. I went there with my kids one day and realized I forgot my wallet. A guy who helped told me to bring $ later and gave us donuts kids picked out. He knew my kids would be disappointed. I won't never forget that day. Highly recommended!!!

Maggie D.

Yelp
I'm not sure what's going on, but this place has been going down hill the last couple of months. The quality has gone downhill. My daughter and I both threw our donuts away this morning because they were dry and terrible. So were our ham and cheese kolaches. The staff has changed and they get orders wrong frequently. This place used to have the best donuts and the best staff. Did they sell or is this just a staffing issue?
google avatar

Elise A.

Yelp
Love this place! Seriously the BEST donuts in the city. There was a long line but it moved very quickly and the ladies that took our order are so nice and efficient. I have been coming here since I was a kid and am so happy to be back in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Elle E.

Yelp
Awesome donuts and their jalapeno kolache is the best. Even my GF who's very picky with her donuts loved their goods. Doesn't hurt that people were also nice. Definitely making this our donut place!

L K.

Yelp
Truly the best donuts, soft, tasty, not overly sweet! Great selection and the staff are so nice.
google avatar

Emma B.

Yelp
This place was worth a visit when we parked here to go walking along the bayou, playing a certain AR game on our phones! We were in and out really quickly, so this'll be a short review. The bar donuts/Long Johns are available in chocolate or maple, and can be filled with Bavarian cream on request. Husband enjoyed their kolaches - he found them to be worth the extra cash compared to some of the cheaper but lower-quality places closer to us. Everything was clean, service was fast and no-nonsense - this place seems like a real neighborhood mainstay. We might start making the trip out here more often, since our usual donut spot always sells out of our favorites!
google avatar

Greg L.

Yelp
Local family run donut shop. They upgraded the sausage on their country boy kolache spicy. It has real kick and a quality sizable link is rolled between some soft toasty bread. They also have breakfast croissants that are a meal. Try one don't always have them in the case so ask for it.
google avatar

Danielle S.

Yelp
My Fiance and I were craving donuts and we noticed this little shop when driving around. We decided to give it a go and we we're glad we did! We ordered 2 croissant breakfast sandwiches which were awesome and we also got a half a dozen donuts. The donuts are amazing! They were extremely fresh and every style tasted great. Make sure to try the blueberry!
google avatar

Dina D.

Yelp
My cousin was in town so I had to take her there. She had been looking for a boudain kolache. She loved it. I just love this doughnut shop. I am hooked on the apple fritters
google avatar

Dee H.

Yelp
Some weekends breakfast ain't just breakfast without a croissant a acup of strong espresso or coffee, so since this place is in the neighborhood and less than 5 mins a way, it works when i actually wanna sit at home on my patio and pretend i'm in Paris amongst the wrought iron and ivy... or was much as you can in 90 percent humidity.... Honestly i haven't had anything bad at this place. the croissants are pretty good and fresh, I love apple fritters and this is one of the few places that makes a good ones, and miles better than Dunkin' ... the kolaches are good too as well as the donuts. I've been there crack of dawn early, and later in the day and it's been pretty consistent, but the croissants and apple fritters are a welcome addition to the weekend routine...

Jessica W.

Yelp
I discovered this place about 2 weeks ago and I'm embarrassed to say how often I've been there since. My favorite donut shop is across town but wanted to find a place close to home and this one fit the bill! The Apple fritter is the best I've had and their country boy kolache hits the spot every time.
google avatar

Ronnie D.

Yelp
One of the best donut shops in Houston. The small jalapeno kolaches here are my breakfast once or twice a week. Cheap and tasty breakfast croissants too. Skip the coffee, but they've got every other drink you could rationally expect from a donut shop. The apple fritters and eclairs aren't bad either, but the sweetest thing I can usually tolerate in the morning is a plain cake donut.
google avatar

Dee O.

Yelp
This is our little donut spit. It's near the house in a very convenient location. This is a family owned business, & the people that I have interacted with on my visits are very pleasant. They are usually busy, but they work together in a quick, but efficient matter to get the customers in and out. Our favorites are the kolaches with no cheese, the glazed donuts, the donut holes, & the frosted donuts (for my daughter). The items are always fresh when I get them. Finally, their prices are very reasonable.
google avatar

Jerry H.

Yelp
Very tasty donuts, with a good variety. Very reasonably priced, so good for treating folk at the office. On the other hand, their kolatches are as good, though a more limited variety. I like their jalapeño, sausage & cheese the best. Finally, they also have good breakfast sandwiches.

Grace H.

Yelp
This place definitely has the best donuts, all round, great place, great food at a great price.
