Best Fish Taco in Ensenada Review - Los Feliz - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"It takes some big cojones to make such a bold claim in your name, but the revolving door of regulars at this Los Feliz taquería tells us they’re doing something right. At the Best Fish Taco in Ensenada in Los Feliz, that “something” is keeping its tacos simple and made-to-order. This nautical-themed taquería is great for a quick, easy lunch with its tight menu of two items: fish or shrimp tacos. Corn tortillas are made in-house, and the same person who takes your order will fry your seafood in a bubbling pot behind the counter. In minutes, you get a naked, crispy fish taco that you dress at the salsa bar with cabbage, a lime-drenched “radish relish,” and runny chipotle crema that we often get carried away with. photo credit: Jessie Clapp" - Sylvio Martins

Google
Always amazing but you should eat it fresh at the restaurant. Do not get it To Go, it will not be the same! Joseph, the owner is awesome and fun to chat with. Marvin and Patrice are great too! Always a good bite. Thank you!

Google
delicious and affordable tacos. they have a great toppings bar, including radish relish that is so good. every person i’ve encountered here is nice, and their service is quick. a great precursor meal before heading to the greek; easy to walk over to catch the dash bus up to the venue. really recommend!

Google
Great food. Simple menu. Order at the counter. LA fire dept came in while we were there and the owner paid for their meals. Love that. We need more community !! Sitting in and outside. Doesn’t look like much but it was really good. 5 starts for atmosphere because it’s the best possible for the location.

Google
Love this place so much! We have been coming for years getting fish tacos and whatever seasonal potato or corn thing that they’re making. It’s always pretty good and sometimes depending on the shelf it’s exceptional - Like today! This is probably the only place where you can find such delicious food at such affordable prices and love to continue to support them as a community so that they keep having a thriving business.

Google
The best fish tacos I have had. Great place.

Google
After a disappointing fish taco at a famous and over price food truck we tried this place hoping to have a more satisfying experience. We were not disappointed. Not only the food was excellent but Joseph, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and interesting to have a conversation with. We came back the next day to continue that beautiful conversation. If you want amazing food, service, ambiance and price, you’re at the perfect place. We highly recommend Best Fish Taco in Ensenada 🤩

Google
The tacos are just as amazing as they always have been the shrimp taco is loaded. The fish taco is delicious. The potato taco with the green onions is so special…. Just three stars for atmosphere is because it was really really hot inside the restaurant and it doesn’t look like it’s up kept I’ll be happy to change it to five once I feel some AC and that they’re taking care of the place.

Google
Small shop with just a few menu items. There are more drinks than food items. The salsas are tasty. And carry some heat, but are not brutal. There are seats inside and out. I think the shrimp tacos are the best tacos here. But the potato taco is definitely worth getting as well. They have comedy shows as well and I hear they have a great turnout for them.

Yelp
Simple and delicious!!! This fish stand was been around for centuries... it seems. They do what they do ... very well. The salsa bar is fresh and very tasty and creative. When in the neighborhood... it's a must for fish or shrimp tacos
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing and tasty. You order your tacos and they give you the protein and the tortilla. They have a salsa and cream bar on the side where you can add the amount of lettuce, cream sauce, or salsa that you want. It's a good experience. Parking can be a pain during rush hour as there is only street parking. Staff is nice and attentive

Yelp
I'll be direct. Good shrimp tacos, good taquitos, but man, this place needs a deep clean... just filthy table tops, floors a wee bit scary gunky... some of the self-serve bar food really didn't look or taste fresh, even smelled funky. One other note-- the chair fell apart on me as I pulled it out to sit. Oh and last thing... tv was playing a madden simulation of tonight's NFL matchup? Got a good laugh.

Yelp
This was a fun, tasty stop on the east side. The menu is pretty basic. You come here for the deep fried fish tacos just like you'd find on the streets of Baja, Mexico. There is just one person working this place, but the service is quick and efficient. The setting is pretty basic -- don't expect a romantic atmosphere. Think more of a hole in the wall with some outdoor tables and inside seating. I stopped by on a chillier day and stay inside by the window. The tacos came out fresh and crispy. These were also super cheap. I ordered 2 tacos and a sparkling water and the entire bill came out to just under $12. There is a salsa bar with a variety of options including some tasty creama to put on top. I absolutely love Mexican fish tacos traveling to both Ensenada and Tijuana. My favorite fish tacos are from Tijuana from the various street vendors where you will definitely not find a health certificate! But you know what, these tacos are the best I've ever had in my life and I've never gotten sick. Are these as good as the fish tacos South of the border? No! But it's a good alternative if you don't feel like driving and dealing with customs!

Yelp
By no means do I want to state that this place is hackneyed, but at least to me, it doesn't seem to offer the level of taste that their name would suggest. Of course, it is a bit apocryphal to have such a name while being situated in Los Feliz. While it's not in Ensenada, and neither am I, the dubiousness isn't just in that part of the name, but in the "best" part as well. I admit that I have never been to Ensenada, so it could be possible that they were actually the best fish taco there, however it's an unsubstantiated claim without proper proof. Taste the food you say? Oh, I did and because I have nothing to compare it to from the place it claims to be from, then I would have to say that it is more than likely NOT the best fish taco in Ensenada. If you ever have to be at Griffith Park or Los Feliz, stop on by and see for yourself. Thanks for reading. Free Palestine!

Yelp
No nonsense fish or shrimp tacos for less than $5 and a drink for $1 with a full on open salsa bar. How amazing is that?! There was only one lady working, amazing. She's seriously holding down the fort by herself, one had on the register and one hand frying. Seating inside is plentiful but the ambiance resembles your typical hole in the wall vibe. I recommend sitting outside in their patio area, as it has some plants/trees that feel a bit nicer. There's limited free street parking nearby.

Yelp
Great food at an amazing price. And super friendly staff. We love being able to walk to this place. And we have been regulars since it first opened. ALL of the tacos are great, not just the fish ones. My daughter is obsessed with the papas tacos. I'm old school... fish and shrimp
google avatar

Federico L.

Yelp
I have to agree (for now), that the name speaks for itself. They have the best fish taco in the area, and I'm definitely going to be a regular here when in the area. They have fish, shrimp, potato tacos and carnitas taquitos. I tried all of them and my favorites were the fish and shrimp tacos. The batter is cooked perfectly to give you that crispiness to your bite. Both shrimp and fish were also good in quality. I wasn't too impressed with their other options, but hey, you're there for the fish tacos. The tacos come with literally just the tortilla and the main ingredient. They have a salsa bar for you to add your condiments as you like. The place itself is unassuming. They actually have a really good music playlist with chill music setting some good vibes. There's seating inside as well as a patio. Street parking was not hard to find a block away from the spot. Tip: Check in for a free agua Fresca! Lemonade was good, a bit too sweet though.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this is my third and final time to visit Best Fish Taco In Ensenada. With the rising prices we see everywhere, you would think that business owners make a little more effort to account for the raising their prices. Not only are the prices even more than expected for this type of fare, the quality didn't seem to change the slightest. I think the pictures of the Taquitos for $2.95 says it all. Not even going to compare but they are 3/4 the size of one at other Mexican restaurants. We arrived around 2 pm and all the ice that is supposed to keep everything chilled had turned to water. They ran out of chopped cabbage and didn't bother to replace it. With the competition becoming fierce, BFTIE should do more to drive business because they do not have the best fish tacos...Sorry.

Jack M.

Yelp
3 shrimp 3 fish please!! One of Los Feliz areas lowkey gems. You have a home vibe here. Gotta love it!

Rashel D.

Yelp
Coming from a Mexican that eats seafood all the time... this was a LET DOWN. Please ignore the other reviews because when I tell you the oil was so black and old... I got fish tacos and the batter was dark brown from the old oil. The best deep fried fish tacos should always be CRUNCHY on the outside and soft on the inside... these were just soggy and soft. Tortilla was like any other store bought tortilla. The toppings were alright, they were self-serve. Including 3 different salsas and they had crema and very watery chipotle sauce (nothing that really stood out) . Probably the worst tacos ever, the toppings were better than the taco itself :/ I was so excited to eat here... but everyone needs to learn what good tacos are and this is NOT IT. Edit: I would like to add that they had only ONE employee taking orders AND cooking the food. NO LIMES EITHER (which is ESSENTIAL for fish tacos‍).
google avatar

Merry L.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place since it's a hole in the wall business but the quality of the food was just okay. Service was average, it seemed like the guy taking my order was not present when I was talking to him. However, this didn't affect my experience that much. What I do appreciate about this location is that they fry the fish to order so it is made fresh. However, the flavors and textures were not there. Each fish taco was $2.95 but mine had 2 small pieces of battered fish. The taco was mostly tortilla. The fish tasted bland and it started falling apart after the first bite which surprised me considering it was freshly made. The tortilla was also ripping apart. I personally don't think they're "Ensenada's best fish taco." Another plus to this location is that the have a self service station of salsas, crema and cabbage so can add however much you'd like. The 3 salsas they had seemed to all have the same base and taste, only difference was the spice level. I also did find it disappointing that they did not provide lemon/lime especially since it's a fish taco spot.

Tamy C.

Yelp
Came here yesterday for a late lunch and early dinner and wow it did not disappoint! I ordered two and they were so good I ordered four more 10/10 highly recommend ! Plus the woman making the tacos and Sam are really sweet!

Rama S.

Yelp
I did a drive by yesterday before they opened and couldn't pass by this wonderful spot. Still as great as my visit in 2018 and all the visits between. Joseph is a gem and quite the host. While i found this spot on my potato taco hunt, it's become my favorite fish taco spot too! The salsa bar is incredible and they have added a Shaved Ice corner. Always hits the spot! Shout out to Marvin and his taco skills!

Yelp
Growing up in Hollywood, I would stop by Best Fish Taco in Ensenada often while on my afternoon or evening walks. Absolutely love this place because of one simple reason; they only have a couple options on the menu to choose from - Fish Taco, Shrimp Taco, or Taquitos. Hole in the wall location, but serves the absolute best fish and shrimp tacos I've had. I'm normally not a fan of fish tacos, but here is the only place I eat them. They usually have 1 or 2 employees on shift, so they're usually super quick when you walk in and order. Everything is fried fresh to order. They have a topping bar with many salsas and toppings to choose from and customize your own tacos. Always quiet and empty there, which sucks as they have such great quick bites/foods. I usually go there in the evenings though, so I'm sure they get packed and busy for lunch. Overall, great atmosphere, great location, and great food. Definitely recommend to those looking for a quick bite and something different from your every day street tacos.

Yelp
The people working here were so sweet but the tacos were not it. The lack of flavor and seasoning was very underwhelming. The ice that the crema was in were all melted. The salsa didn't have flavor as well. But I did like the soundtrack and music they had playing and I am curious about their shave ice corner (which seemed closed at the time).

Yelp
We were on our way to Santa Monica and thought it'd be fun to drop by Best Fish Taco in Ensenada. The shop was small but the patio had plenty of space to be seated. They only have 3 kind of tacos: fish, shrimp and potato. I got one of each plus a cup of horchata, thinking it's gonna be a great meal! Each taco was good. The tortillas were on the drier side, but with deep fried seafood, creama, cabbage and red pickle, they tasted balanced. The potato taco was hearty and savory, which I also liked. The problem was the horchata. From the very first sip, I knew something wasn't right. I drank a lot of horchata and I have never tasted a sour one. It wasn't overly sour, but it definitely tasted like they added plum juice to it. Finally my boyfriend went to the staff asking them if it's meant to be this way, they said "oh no", dumped the rest of horchata and replaced it with lemonade. To be honest, I didn't want lemonade. Also, the thought of getting upset stomach is the last thing I want in our trip. I wish they'd refunded the drinks, or had a new batch ready instead. After tasting my first spoiled horchata, I don't think their tacos have enough magic to bring me back...

Michelle Y.

Yelp
I feel bad giving them a one star because the kids at the register were nice, but wow this place is really unsanitary. 1) The guy cooking the fish played with his phone then immediately touched the food (without washing his hands). 2) The crema and other dairy bottles were sitting in lukewarm water after all the ice was melted. The salsa next to them were probably out for hours and never replaced as well. 3) None of the Agua Fresca were refrigerated. They were actually WARM from sitting out so long. The tacos were small and expensive. They tasted salty and off as though they had gone bad. We ended up throwing away most of the food because we were nervous about getting food poisoning. From the small amount that we did eat, we unfortunately ended up with an upset stomach. Be careful when you eat here.

Yelp
Came several times here for lunch today tow young gentleman's serving people ( most likely owner sons) Tortilla was dried fish very small pieces $2.95 no ice on cream jar Plus temporary cook came out start motorcycle which was parked next to tables very people seating gasoline smoke come on guys what's wrong with you use common sense Just advise don't drop quality and value of food

Yelp
Everything is delicious, try everything! I fill up on 2 fish and one taquito or a shrimp. I will never stop coming here, a hidden gem!

Yelp
So good, so fresh, and so happy I came here! Best Fish Taco in Ensenada is absolutely a no frills kinda spot. The permanent menu is just two items: fish tacos and shrimp tacos. I got one of each and a potato log which was one of three specials (they also had potato tacos and taquitos). My entire meal after tax and tip was around $12. Probably one of the cheapest, fastest, and tastiest meals in LA. After you order, they immediately throw your fish or shrimp into the fryer and make each item to order. Service was quick and simple. The tacos are presented with just the tortilla and protein, then you turn around to the self service counter of homemade and flavorful salsas and cremas. I put cabbage, spicy avocado salsa, and crema on both of my tacos. The avocado salsa was so so tasty but it definitely has a kick that will randomly hit you whenever you get a pepper in a bite. Vibes are right, the food is great, prices are even better. Apparently they also do comedy nights! And it's BYOB!

Yelp
This place is fantastic! The tacos are delicious, the service is excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Plus, the atmosphere is really cool.

Yelp
Here are the other places I tried for fish tacos BACK TO BACK, just for YELP!.....well, And myself :-) Best Fish Taco In Ensenada Simon (truck) Mariscos 4 Vientos (truck, do not bother, Mariscos Jalisco was closed) Holbox For fish taco, I have to honestly say that this place and Holbox are the winning fish tacos. Here I tried the fish taco and shrimp, both very good. Well, there are 2 main reason WHYa fish taco is great (besides the 2 others: toppings/salsa and tortilla) : 1. First, the fish flesh was not thin and greedy, not mostly fried batter. So you get a nice crunch that is NOT the main focus, while you have a nice fish flavor. 2. Fresh and quality oil. This is so important, many miss it. 3. Salsa and toppings (great!) 4. Corn torilla (I honestly forget, and was never a issue) And this place had the above. Holbox I had the fish taco also, but their batter to fish ratio is greedy, and at the price unjust. But they do have great dishes we enjoyed. I have to say, they are not doing themselves a good marketing service with this name. You will not get it to come up in Yelp, as it changes my location to Mexico, and 5 times this repeats. You cannot search this place by name. No wonder they got a wacki Instagram corner for marketing! Maybe change the name to BFTE or something? Btw, the place is more of a hut like vibe, chill relaxed, flipflops type of place. Looked clean, and it has a super nice patio area. The salsa bar was also very good. So 3 main things that make a great fish taco, and this place HITS them all! See the other locations for their reviews soon. But to sum it up, Simon had good aguachile. Dont bother with the crab taco, and their oil tasted old. Mariscos 4 Viento. STEER clear! You have been warned. Holbox was a HIT!

Sergio S.

Yelp
Worse fish taco I have ever had. Oil that the fish was fried in tasted old and the whole place smelled like a fish tank. Lukewarm salsas in melted ice... terrible food!
google avatar

Yelp
I had a Groupon for this restaurant, which was expiring today. I had original thoughts of Vegan-like tacos, as this area is predominately hipster. As I went further south on Hillhurst, I noticed the clientele changed a bit and became more industrial and some high-density residential, so my expectations changed a bit as well. Upon entering, I felt I walked into a tropical foreign country, unlike what I would normally see in Los Angeles. It was kind of a beach environment and laid back with a no stress atmosphere. If you check in on Yelp, a free drink is had; mine was an horchata. food choices are rather meager but good, so shrimp and fish tacos it is, with a side of taquitos. Overall, the food was okay, similar to what you might find on a food truck. For under three dollars, lunch was good and the horchata delicious.

Ggers G.

Yelp
You're better off getting Del Tacos Fish Tacos instead they did not make the cut! This coming from a Ensenadense, they don't even have lime for your tacos the salsa is trash. Some one said in the other review "fresh" nothing the salsa was fermenting in those bowls I could see the bubbles. They used Ensenadas name in vain. Fish tacos had no flavor what so ever, tortillas were hard. Just everything about this place was a no. Also, they do not wear gloves when handling your food.
google avatar

Jeffery C.

Yelp
Yuk. She's always a woman to me but don't get tacos here in my visits. First time nothing but a corn tortilla a couple of small fried fish pieces that looked out of bag. The shrimp tacos were equally poor. I asked who owned it. A young hefty Mexican American said Roland Cordova. I asked if he was from Ensenada. He said Roland was not from Ensenada and he thought had visited Ensenada one time. I asked for a receipt and it was refused they claimed they didn't have any receipt paper. We talked on it. I asked for a written receipt on a small blank. She said no. I had a expert fish tacos person try the tacos and they said bad news. The second taco set around for like days in the refridge because nobody who looked at it wanted to eat it. Finally it was eaten. Poor quality was the review. My second trip eight weeks later was worse. I paid for fish tacos and shrimp tacos. I asked for a receipt. They said no. I said hey if no receipt return my cash. They said no, and kept the order. Yep. They kept my money and kept the food. I do not recommend the restaurant.

Kyla H.

Yelp
First time. Great quality shrimp and fish. Service was sweet too. Open air can see what the cool is doing. There's a bar chilled with a variety of salsas and shredded cabbage. Simple, minimal, quality and delicious. Got shrimp and fish. Both bomb
google avatar

Becca F.

Yelp
I can't believe I've never eaten here before. This place is absolutely fantastic. The owner and his son are wonderful! I have specific dietary restrictions and they went out of their way to accommodate them. The food was incredible! I highly recommended checking it out!!

Mary D.

Yelp
Love this place for a quick bite. Always fast, fresh and delicious. Love the self serve salsa bar too!! :)

Ren M.

Yelp
I truly do not understand how people rave about this place when there are so many other options in LA and close by. All of the food is so overly greasy it gives you indigestion while you're eating it. That might be worth it if the food tasted good, but nothing is seasoned. The fried things are soggy. The condiments bar always runs out by afternoon, and no one bothers to refill it, so you're not left with options to make the food taste better. The ice will have also melted by this time, meaning everything is sitting out at room temperature including the crema.
google avatar

Tara K.

Yelp
Taco about service! My partner and I came here on a weeknight to use the Groupon prior to expiration. We were able to get 3 potato tacos and 2 fish tacos as well as a drink. However, we were short a ~$1 and the cashier/owner kindly let us by since we did not have cash could only pay the difference by card. The tacos are solid and affordable although the tortilla isn't quite what I excepted- their salsa is on the spicy side fyi! The drink was a refreshing addition to counter the spice. Decor and ambiance is eclectic, with plenty of seating inside and outside. It looks like they also have shaved ice available during the day. It was surprisingly very busy on a Thursday night a hour before closing. We were able to easily find parking on the street! Overall, a decent taco place with great prices and I wouldn't mind going back if I was in the area.
google avatar

Jean-Pierre H.

Yelp
The tacos are killer. I've been coming here for years and they never disappoint. It's super simple but absolutely killer. Service is mellow and the store is also pretty under-spoken. It's good vibes and better food I've updated my past review as coming back here is a constant. We all have crappy days and it seems I just caught then on a "less than awesome" day.
google avatar

Darylynn D.

Yelp
The menu is simple; fish, shrimp or potato tacos and taquitos with agua frescas. I had the fish taco and taquitos and they were decent. The chicken taquitos were fairly on the smaller side. The fish tacos were decently sized so that's a plus. There is indoor and outdoor dining as well.
google avatar

Yelp
When I went back to this place earlier this week, it had been about three years since my last visit. I used to quite regularly stop by here! I no longer feel I can give it my recommendation. I had a VERY disappointing experience. I had a camera with me when I went, as I was just taking photos and that sort of thing. Not taking pictures or footage of anyone working there at all, or anything like that. The moment I walked in, however, the two employees just glared at me and continued doing that the entire time. As the one guy prepared the fish and shrimp tacos I ordered, he literally just stared at me with a stink eye nearly the entire time! It was the strangest thing I had ever experienced! The only thing I did while in there was ask if I could take a shot of one of the signs with the taco options listed on it! As for the tacos themselves, I tried to not let a sour experience with service ruin the food, but I honestly found the fish/shrimp itself to be extremely bland, flavorless, and weak! I couldn't even tell which one was the fish and which one was the shrimp! The only thing that saved these tacos for me was the avocado salsa and crema that you can add to it from the toppings stand inside (some of which, including the cabbage, almost looked bad from sitting out for so long). The patio space outside is also in serious need of some TLC - very messy and unkempt on all the tables. Another thing - I understand inflation and everything, but these tacos are $4 now! And they're very small, basic tacos! I was literally planning on including this place on a video listing some of my favorite taco spots in Los Angeles! Now I'm not even going to return again. What a disappointment.

Yelp
TLDR: It doesn't look like much and... well it's hole in the wall for sure. Tacos are serviceable but far from living up to its name. If you go with the right expectations, you'll come out alright but "best" it is not. Food: -Fish Taco - I mean, this is what we came for and it was... OK -Shrimp Taco - This was actually the better of the 2, crispy, flavorful, enjoyable They serve it on corn tortillas and you build the rest. You put the cabbage, sauces, fixings and for some, you love this because you get control over your toppings but I prefer the shop to build the base everything and I'll add more as I please. Return Rating: Unlikely to ever return.

Yelp
1,000 times yes. Straight, simple, and to the point. I've been coming here a few years now, and it never disappoints. My last visit I got one fish and one shrimp tacos- they were divine as ever! My favorite is their salsa bar! Get some tacos y'all!
google avatar

Cliff S.

Yelp
Great fish tacos! Fish was really tasty. Owner was friendly great guy talk with! Cooked just right crispy but not hard and the avocado salsa was delicious with just enough heat!
google avatar

Renee M.

Yelp
I'm usually skeptical of restaurants with "best" or other descriptions in their name lol this taco shack has the best fish tacos--for real. The fish was perfectly fried--crispy on the outside & moist and flaky on the inside. The shrimp had the right amount of firmness and crispy edges. High quality shrimp and fish were used. Fresh and flavorful salsas. Customer service was great. Prices were reasonable. Parking was easy. I went for comedy night which occurs on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month. The comics were funny and professional! There was a big name actor doing standup.
google avatar

Andy N.

Yelp
Is build your own fish or shrimp taco. The simplest menu I have ever seen. Has a salsa, cabbage, crema and relish bar. If you make it just right is awesome fish taco.

Yelp
I had a $15 Groupon voucher that was due to expire in a few weeks so I decided to go get fish tacos for lunch. It was around 1 o'clock and I think I got very lucky finding a parking spot on the street just a few steps from the shop. I walk into the shop and their the items on the menu is so absurdly simple. That's so great. I chit chatted about what to get with the owner. He said for $15.77, you can get two shrimp tacos, two fish tacos, and a drink (canned sodas or agua fresca). Thank goodness they had seltzer water. The drink prices are $1. His place is a deal especially when they give me a free fish taco on top of what I ordered. The cook apologized but I definitely appreciated the gesture. The tacos come out plain but you can dress them at the salsa bar with shredded cabbage or radish slaw, salsas, and cremas. I took my lunch outside to the patio as it was a bit stuffy inside. I sat at a little table but did not notice the boys of cabbage stuck on the table. That's a bit off putting. I just wanted to finish and get out of there. BTW, there's no parking lot. You'll need to find street parking adjacent to the auto repair shops. I'd definitely consider returning.

Yelp
So simple yet so good! I have been coming here for over a decade. Shrimp taco is so good and fish taco is just an tasty! I add the cabbage, avocado salsa and crema at the self serve table, so good. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Best fish taco spot ever! My boyfriend and I always come here and it never fails to satisfy our stomachs. Everything is fresh and tastes delicious. The tacos are so good that we crave it as soon as we leave. The owner is very kind and interactive with his customers which is great! If i could rate it 10 stars I would! 10/10 recommend this spot to everyone.

Yelp
4+ A small little taco shop that specializes in Baja style fish tacos and has been around for a very long time located on Hillhurst in East Hollywood/Silverlake/ Los Feliz area. The prices here are solid as well. I haven't been here for so many years, but couple friends of mine were going to see a concert at the Greek Theatre and we were running behind schedule so we wanted something delicious and quick and close by. So this place seemed perfect. Parking wasn't too hard to find at that time on a Friday night. Also there was no line which was a huge plus since a little bit up the street a lot of the restaurants were super busy. I ordered a fish taco, a shrimp taco, and a potato taco. And for good measure, I also ordered the taquitos. I received my order and went over to the salsa bar and went crazy. I love the fresh crema on my fried stuff, and a nice mix of salsas and cabbage as well. I didn't put anything on top of the potato taco because it already had a bunch of stuff added in. Are the fried seafood tacos here are really tasty and have a great texture. They're freshly fried upon order and given to you right after that. The potato taco also had a nice soft texture to it and good flavors. The taquitos were a bit small but weren't expensive and also had a nice crisp. After we were done eating, a person that offered us some free shaved ice, which was really tasty. The flavors on that were really good there was ice cream at the bottom and some condensed milk on top. I love Mexican food so this definitely hit the spot before a concert and definitely would go back more often if I lived in the area, but this place is always a nice treat when I can go.

Yelp
The name says it all. There's something so special about only serving Fish and Shrimp tacos. They perfected both and don't need to worry about anything else.

Yelp
Exactly what I was looking for- the best first taco (and this place delivered) Hope they never change the salsa bar, because that's where the real magic happens

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful food and service! Had such a great experience what nice people. Even gave me a sample of some of their fresh ceviche that I will definitely be making a trip back for! Very affordable with tacos at like 3$ for some delicious and filling food. Their name suits them well, they are indeed the best fish tacos!

Yelp
This place is a local treasure. Simple food. Fish and Shrimp Tacos and a few other offerings. Tasty. Low key, no frills, casual food establishment, the kind of place you would find in Mexico. It's that sort of vibe. The owner, a friendly American guy, is always cordial and gracious. For a delicious, inexpensive, meal, this place can't be beat.
