"Best Roasted Corn Stand in White Center is a neighborhood staple, and absolutely deserves its title. Serving elote and esquite in the same parking lot as Taqueria La Fondita #1, this walk-up trailer is the perfect pit stop for a snack when you really want corn. Order said corn in a cup or on the cob, topped with Flamin’ Hot Cheetos dust and crumbled cotija cheese. Travis Thompson and Jake One Go on an Eating Tour in South Seattle | Eater Seattle

"A trailer officially named The Best Roasted Corn Stand in White Center (most people just call it "the corn stand"), where Thompson keeps coming back for the #2 and the #7—the Mexican and the Hot Cheetos renditions of classic elote—and for a mangonada packed with chamoy, chili, and fruit that tastes like a box of Hot Tamales." - Paolo Bicchieri

Google
One Star – Disappointed and Unsettled I've been visiting this Mexican corn stand in White Center for around a decade. It's always been a reliable spot for a quick, cup of yummy corn. I don't expect five-star service from a food truck, but the women who used to run it were always pleasant, even when busy. However, my visit today was a different story. The man working the stand was not just unwelcoming—he was downright hostile. No greeting, no acknowledgment, and when I asked for a tray to carry my order, he agreed but later tossed it onto the counter without a word and turned his back on me. I said "thank you" twice, hoping for some basic courtesy, but received only a mumbled response without eye contact. It felt personal and left me feeling uncomfortable. I also noticed their food safety rating was "Okay," which, according to King County's system, means they've had many critical violations over the last four inspections . That doesn't instill confidence. I won't be returning. There are plenty of other places to enjoy Mexican corn without the side of hostility.

Google
No frills, but the food is great. We got the Bionico and Elote. Fresh and tasty.

Olivia

Google
Fun menu. The corn wasn’t anything you couldn’t make at home (#7 corn with hot Cheetos and Mayo) but at the same time it was really good, so ….

John Z

Google
Flavors were pretty good for the seasoning, but corn was really disappointing. Probably not in season? Dry and lacking in flavor.

Google
I freaking love this street corn! The ladies who run this food truck as awesome, friendly and funny. I always get the hot Cheetos elotes in a cup and it's delicious. Super full cup and perfect temp. Sometimes the parking can be annoying but it's white center, what can you do 🤷🏾‍♀️. Worth the trip though.

Vivian K

Google
Great deals for the price. I got the mexican corn and it was delicious!

Michael A.

Google
Overpriced, for being white center they sure do charge a lot for the corn. Not to mention the other food. Okay food. They should help the homeless community a bit more. 2 stars. I have seen mice and rats all over the area as well. Maybe it's just me but I think they're a bit congested and need to lighten up a bit.

Vanessa Q.

Google
Corn use to be so good when they had their original stand in white center. New rules, new changes, new employees, bad customer service, boost in prices and different taste of food has made their snacks worse. They also put what ever they want on your order. Like “tostiequite” they would add chamoy and taquin when in reality it’s not part of what’s posted on their menu. They would make a corn on a cob and forget to put a simple ingredient like lemon. They also have to work on food handling according to an employee their that express her feelings off of their new stand. She was not very pleasant.. would not recommend to anyone.

Yelp
I love the elote or esquite from here, it's always good. They have a pretty big menu for such a small truck. I've never been disappointed. Service was quick today, I went around 3ish. I like that everything is easily transportable. The truck is also right next to a taco truck so it's perfect combo for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Elote, esquites, fresh fruit, and more! We were looking for a quick snack in West Seattle and found this bright yellow food truck on the side of the street. They have different variations of toppings for their roasted corn cob on a stick. It comes out piping hot and slathered in toppings. I preferred the elote over the esquites, which was a bit too watery and sweet for my taste. I also got the mango cup, which had the most perfect mango spears I've ever had. Perfectly sweet and golden mango coated in chamoy and tajin. My current favorite treat for a hot day. It was a one-man operation when I visited so the wait was about 10 min for 3 items. It's parked off the side of the road next to a Mexican food truck. Street parking is available.

Yelp
I don't know if you've ever tried corn with different things on it but this place is absolutely wonderful. The corn is fresh and delicious with a large sizes. They put everything you can name on this corn and it makes the corn delicious. I like mayonnaise Parmesan and chili powder. It's absolutely wonderful. I was suggested spice to. It's a great place and a great idea.
google avatar

Jillian N.

Yelp
Good for a late night snack! The corn was good. We got one on the cob and one in a cup. The corn on the cob was definitely more sweet than the one in the cup, but overall good snack! Service was okay nothing out of the ordinary other than it did take them about 5-10 minutes just to greet us.

Yelp
It really is the BEST corn in the city!! When I crave elote (corn) this is the one and only spot. I've been coming here since I was in high school. Over 10 years ago when they only sold corn, and they're still making the best elote but now with some other tasty treats. My go to is "Mexican" style with mayo, cheese (Cotija-Aged Mexican Cheese), chill powder and lemon. Extra chili because I like it spicy! And in a cup so I won't ruin my outfit, only speaking by experience. Though I do prefer corn on the cob normally, I believe they use canned corn for the cup version. But with all the ingredients in a cup it's all good to me. Service is always friendly, and it is worth the wait if they have a line or lots of orders. Supporting this business makes me happiest most that I help to support my community.

Yelp
I've heard people talk about this corn stand food stuck when they mention the Taqueria La Fondita taco truck next to it. After eating our tacos there we went next door to check this place out. They sell corn-on-the-cob, corn in a cup, and a variety of fruits in a cup. We got the hot cheetos esquite ($6.30 for a medium) which consisted of corn, mayonnaise, cheese, and hot cheetos dust. The mayonnaise really brought everything together and I liked the cheese. I would've preferred if it was in a wider cup or bowl so there was more of the hot cheetos dust because the ratios didn't match up with the corn. Also, it was definitely canned corn and not roasted but still good. There's no dedicated eating area but I imagine most people (like us) just eat in covered area next to the taco truck.
google avatar

Steve F.

Yelp
Very fun food truck with so many varieties of street corn. I'm definitely coming back to try more.
google avatar

Tejal B.

Yelp
Came here for some good roasted corn in these wet winters. Seeing all the good reviews I was very excited to try it out. Its a food truck, their is another food truck as well serving mexican food, crowded with customers. Parking is not easily available. We were told that they only serve boiled corn. What a let down. Did not try anything from this place. Then why the name "Roasted Corn"?
google avatar

Edmel R.

Yelp
This place? Look, I would drive from Tacoma all the way to White Center to eat this. Often times, my cousins so drive that distance for this place. I don't know if it's the love they put in it or really putting some elbow grease because the corn here is *chef's kiss* the women that are usually working are so sweet. I love coming here because the food quality is always 10/10. Their corn is so yummy and for the price, very reasonable and affordable on my personal budget. Parking is pretty decent, though nowhere to sit. Which honestly, I don't know how you can make it across the street without bodying the whole cup.
google avatar

Neca S.

Yelp
Sooooo damn good!! Fresh fruits hit the spot! My daughter was definitely satisfied!! Ordered Frutas en Vaso, Mango con pepino, and Esquites con Takis. Definitely worth the drive on a school night. You have to check it out!
google avatar

Alex C.

Yelp
How can an elote stand be anything less than 5 stars? It's corn. A big lump with knobs. It has the juice. Really though, it's great. They have different flavorings and toppings (for example, the "Asian" was just salt). I had to go with the "Mexican" of course, with your classic mayo, cheese, chili powder and lime. It was flavorful, delicious and less than 5 dollars. Friendly staff, and right next to taqueria la fondita so you can also grab some tacos to go with it! Fantastic stand.
google avatar

Eva M.

Yelp
If you like the Mexican roast corn and fruit treats, this is the place to be! They keep a straight forward menu focusing on different flavors of roasted corn on the cob and fruits in a cup. The picture in my review has full menu. Think mangoes and cucumbers with chili powder. It'll remind you of your vacation in Mexico. Their prices are very reasonable. Corn is $3, while the big cups of fruit are $6. Nowadays a corn at the street fair is $5. This is much more reasonable. There's no dedicated parking, street only. There's also no dedicated eating area, but most people are getting tacos from taco truck next door, so they eat both at the taco truck's eating area.
google avatar

Dianna N.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to get a mangoneada, and came across this and was excited they also have street corn!! Mangoneada $6: In general, this is only the third I've had in my life, as they are a recent discovery for me. I love the combination of the mand the spices, and the tamarind candy coated straw! Compared to the others I've had, this one had more juice and less mango chunks, which makes it a lovely refreshing drink. Next time, I want to try asking for less ice, since we were left with a decently big chunk at the end. Esquite $5 large: I love corn in a cup and how it's less messy to eat vs corn on the cob. This also conveniently fits in your cup holder if you're taking it to go! They do have a seating area if you want to dine in. I grabbed a stamp card since I know I'll be back! ***** My Star Ratings: 1 Star - Terrible. Just thinking about it makes me angry. 2 Stars - Meh. Unlikely for me to return. 3 Stars - OK. Open to coming back, but wouldn't go out of my way to. 4 Stars - Yummy! Will definitely return if I haven't already. 5 Stars - AMAZING!!! Would plan my day or even a trip around eating here.
google avatar

Pim Y.

Yelp
Their mangonadas are soooo refreshing on a hot summer day! Always quick and friendly service. Prices are a little high but it's worth it, in my opinion. Support local businesses always ! Elotes are pretty good too but I prefer to come here for the fruits :). Last time I had this was 2018 and I've been thinking about it ever since. So glad to see they're still doing well.
google avatar

Timothy L.

Yelp
Really good cornstand highly recommend the Tosti-Esquite. Only really downside is that communication can be a bit difficult if you don't speak Spanish.
google avatar

Naomi S.

Yelp
We got a Mangonada, a cup of sliced mangos, cup of corn, and a corn on the cob both Mexican style. Everything was AMAZING! The mangos were absolutely perfectly ripe. Some places local to me put non ripe mango in the Mangonadas. Which sucks. But no sucking here!! My husband love the cup of corn. Usually he complains that there's too much water in the cup. Not here! If we lived closer I would come here EVERY day and I would go broker than I'm going from Starbucks. We will go back again. Just not soon enough.
google avatar

Emily J.

Yelp
I had been seeing Mangonadas and Elotes in many youtube vlogs for a long time now. I got curious one day and looked on yelp to see where I could go to try both of these things. The Roasted Corn Stand came up in my search and I started to read reviews. People kept mentioning to try the corn in the cup so I went for that and a Mangonada. Driving out of our way to try this was such a good decision. I am a fan! I think next time I will want to try the Elotes on a cob though. The corn cup was warm, and smelled strongly of cheese. The first bite was sooo yummy! The Mangonada tasted really good too. It was sweet and the flavors really stood out. The one thing I did not like was the ice chunks. Some of the shaved ice was clumped together and it was not as smooth as I was expecting, like a smoothie I guess. I had never had one before though so I guess maybe they are all like that? This place is literally a stand on the corner. You cannot miss it when driving by. It was pretty busy for a nice sunny weekend afternoon. There is a taco truck right by it too so there is a crowd around. They are cash only so be prepared !
google avatar

Sophia H.

Yelp
The best elotes in Washington!! This truck is a must whenever I am in white center. They have a store location just about less then 10 minutes away but it's just something about their corn from this food truck that makes it sooooo good!!! Maybe because this is the OG Mexican corn place that will have your elotes craving satisfied 100%. They have 3 different cup sizes, Small $3, medium $4 or large $5. The also have sliced mango in a cup topped with chamoy, tajin and a dash of lime, so refreshing. Not only they have corn and mangos, they have mangonadas too! You can never got wrong with a mangonada on a hot summer day in west Seattle. Service is always quick and speedy which is a plus! Ps, Their corn never taste like it came out of the can!

Yelp
I cannot thank fellow yelpers on showing me this gem. My husband and I are either in Seattle, LAX or YVR every other week. It just seems that After moving back and forth from Los Angeles, I always miss my staple foods which are, tacos, tamales, tostilocos, horchata, mangonada and my most favourite food in the world, ELOTE!! Maybe cause I'm a born fatty, but the lime and crunchy sweet corn and cheese, just everything makes everything all better.. we went and it was 11:10am, he was prepping and said he'd be running a few minutes behind schedule so we didn't mind and walked around the Mexican and Asia seafood markets to kill some time. Was it worth the wait? HELL FRICKEN YESSSS!!!! We ordered 2 corns "Mexican style" $3 per Cobb to take back with us and reheat later which is BOMB.COM and 2 cups of elote in $4 cups ($3,$4,$5 cups available) as well to enjoy then and a fresh shaved ice Mangonada!! During the first bite I closed my eyes and can picture the days when I was a young preteen chasing elote man for this! Seems to some people a sketchy area but they seem to be trying to make it a bit more "hipster?" Only real thing you maybe need to worry about is the old man who begs for extra dollars and looks 32 months pregnant with his finger inside his belly button. We will be back next week! Thank you for a great experience and effing fabulous orgasm in our mouths!
google avatar

Lucien G.

Yelp
I love this place. They have excellent elotes (roasted corn is also available in a cup if you need something easier to carry) , and a variety of other snacks and treats. There is a menu of the different elote preparations on the front of the truck. I typically get the mexican one but the other ones look great too! Pricing is very fair, and staff is super friendly. The taco truck next door is also really good, I recommend trying both!
google avatar

Nicole Y.

Yelp
I take everyone I know here, and they leave addicted (see a friends Instagram post below). It's cash only, but only $3 for a piece of this amazing elote (Mexican style) corn--they have other styles too. Even if you didn't know before you came, I'm sure you can dig three dollars outta your car or purse or somewhere. What ever you do, don't leave empty handed you will be missing out on life. They also have Mexican style mangos with Tamarand and lime , and watermelon juice and slushees. I heart this place so much. I've come here more than once for just mangos and corn. This is my all time fav food truck in the king county area.

Yelp
After always hearing about the bomb elottes & mangonadas in white center from a food truck in white center, I had to give it a try. After searching on Yelp, I was able to find this spot pretty quickly. Upon arriving, I saw that this was a food stand instead of a food truck, but none the less, I was set on trying it. There was a little line, but the wait wasn't too long. I ordered the mangonada & the mexican style elottes. I got it in a cup so I got a higher volume of delish & I was not disappointed. The mangonada is a tad sweet at first, but as more of the ice melted, it turned out to get progressively more delicious. As for the elottes, I got the biggest size cup ($5) and I was not disappointed. The toppings on the corn was added twice in the cup, once on the top and once halfway, resulting in a delicious bite every time. Being adventerous, I also tried the tostilocos and they were pretty subpar. It was my first time having something like this, and if they went a little lighter on the chamoy, it would have been monumentally better. Overall, this food truck/stand does live up to the hype, and if I'm in the area, i will 100% come back to get more. The Elottes & mangonada is a must get!

Yelp
CASH ONLY! No seating. Went to the street taco stand and saw this. Yes, I want some corn. We got the Mexican version with mayo, cayenne pepper, cheese, salt, lemon. Yes it was DELICIOUS! I didn't find it to be spicy. Got the kids the butter, salt and pepper. Wish I had them hold the pepper as my kids don't like any sort of spice. They make some crazy dishes called Takilocos with chips and I don't know what. I am for sure ordering one of those next time as everyone else seemed to be ordering them. The corn was $3 and well worth it. I also ordered their mango, cayenne and salt dessert. Excellent as well. This is fair food at its finest. No seating. Some of the workers were fast and ours was very slow. It's a popular stand so expect a line on weekends.
google avatar

Doriee L.

Yelp
Oh my goodness... My friends and I came here during our recent trip to Seattle and my goal was to TRY THE CORN. I love corn. My boyfriend and I decided to share a #2 Mexican style corn but we got it in a cup instead of on the cobb. They have three different sizes for you to choose from: $3, $4, and $5. I'm not 100% on the actual size by oz. but you definitely get a ton of corn in the cups. We got the smallest one and it was still a decent amount. The toppings that she uses makes it taste so buttery and smooooth!!! It does get a bit watery towards the bottom of the cup though and that's the only set back. I'm sure that eating it on the cobb is just as good and may give you a different feeling. But the cup is less messy and seems like they give you more. Definitely give them a try. The corn stand is located right next to a taco stand. The area is a bit sketchy though. I mean, we went during the day so it was okay but yeah.

Yelp
This Elote Mexicano will change your life!! The most Legit mexican dish you can get for $3.00!! A perfected roasted corn on the Cobb first dabbed with butter than coated with some Mayo and covered in the most delicious crumbled Mexican Queso Fresco. Is lightly sprayed with lime juice and than sprinkled with a perfect dousing of spice and citrusy chili powder (ask for Taijin added too the Spicy Picoso Elote). This business has been in the same iconic corner for 7+ years in White Center making people smile $3 dollars at a time! It is cash only but there is a US bank ATM across the street and you can get lots of other Amazing snacks that are popular in small rural pueblos and ranchos in mexico like the Tostilocos or Chicharrones Preparados and wash them down with a Mangolada made with chamoy sauce, fresh mangos, lime juice, and chili powder and is topped off with a tamarind straw. This place is a White Center Small Business Icon and hopefully not pushed out with the incoming gentrification monsoon. 5 out of 5 in my own Tacazo Bomb eats rating!!
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
This food truck was nice. Although there was a nice amount of people trying to sell me dove soaps, etc. I didnt mind waiting in line to get my medium cup of esquite. The prices are fair. There is a tax if use of card but besides that, the corn is authentic compared to store bought canned corn.
google avatar

Angelo C.

Yelp
Cash only Best place to get Mexican corn in a cup! Close to work and always consistent.
google avatar

Mical G.

Yelp
The legendary corn stand!!! This has always been one of my favorite places to stop by anytime I'm in the area of Burien/ White center. If you're looking for reliability, and consistency, and great prices, and great food... This is the place to go to. Fun Fact: This spot is located in the same parking lot as a taco truck... Actually not any taco truck but THE taco truck & it makes the trip all the more worth it. I came for corn and I actually got tacos and a mango also. If you guys don't check this place out then you are literally missing out on what Hispanic food has to offer. This is literally one of the most popular Mexican eatery the greater Seattle area so give them a shot, and tell me your success story!
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
The best corn in Seattle. For only $3. Are you kidding me. Would defend in prison shower.
google avatar

Shata Y.

Yelp
The corn was ok, too much mayo so I couldn't taste if the corn was sweet or not and no crunch to the corn. Menu has a good simple concept for different ways to eat corn.
google avatar

Brendan c.

Yelp
Great corn on the cob. I get the Mexican with cheese, mayo, lemon and chilli powder. I never had such a tasty corn other than the stuff I make (or grow) for myself. Cash only so be prepared.
google avatar

Peter N.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place since I always see lines here. Today was no different. I got the #2 which came with mayonnaise, lime, cheese, and Mexican seasoning. The corn was sweet (and still hot) and the combination of flavors were perfect! For only $3, that's more than a steal. Definitely coming back, and when I do, I'm getting at least two corns and possibly one of their mango desserts too!
google avatar

Jolynn S.

Yelp
BEST elotes. I always go for #2 Mexican Corn, and my is it tasty! The elotes in a cup is super cheesy and full of flavor, but I can't say it's better than the elotes on the cob. Both good in their own respect. I will definitely try the mango next time! Cash only.
google avatar

Nicole K.

Yelp
My favorite place when I have the craving for delicious Mexican snacks! I usually get the elite preparado which has mayo, cheese and chili on it. She always makes it a little extra spicy for me. I also love the mango with sauce I can't spell and tajin. It's the best!! Sweet, sour, little spice... so yummy on a warm day. There are all sorts of different styles of corn and snacks to choose from so I'll have to keep working my way down the menu! The gals are always friendly and happy to see people come to get the yummy snacks. Since the place is right next door to the taco truck, we also order tacos at the same time as well!!
google avatar

Lily T.

Yelp
Amazing and authentic. Hidden gem especially if you love elote like me! This place also has the BEST mangonadas. Other places are wayyy too sweet for me but this is just right.
google avatar

Lori T.

Yelp
Thank you yelpers! This is delicious And spicy! I could've eaten 4 ears I think. West Seattle street food is a new adventure for me and this will definitely be a regular stop. This cost $6.50, you can have the food wrapped or not and you are given plenty of napkins and a fork. I learned a new way to deal with a mango and I got to choose my own mango (they're the big ones)! There is shaved ice here also and there are about 8 flavor a to choose from. I'm stuffed. Ate all the corn and about 1/2 the mango. I'm glad I chose spicy
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Corn was delish! Ate it before we finished paying. Can't wait to try the mangos. They are cash only but $5 for corn is worth it. They also sell mangonadas! Yum. I absolutely love the flavors of everything there!
google avatar

Kristy B.

Yelp
Delicious esquites. Best ever. Goes really great with their neighbor trucks tacos. Worth the drive if you're not in WC. Worth planning your meals around if you are in WC. The spicy isn't that spicy so do for it.
google avatar

Kennaro S.

Yelp
HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEXICAN CORN IN WA!!!! Sorry for the all caps earlier, I couldn't help myself. Anyways, don't judge a book by its cover as this place is one of Washington's hidden gems. It offers deliciously authentic Mexican snacks and drinks. There is so much to choose from and all very affordable. Just keep in mind its cash only and that there is no seating. My goto things to get here are their Mexican corn on a cob (only $3!) with a cup of mangonada. If you never had Mexican corn before its a mixture of spicy, salty, sweet and cheesy goodness all on magical cob. Definitely stop by if you're anywhere in the Alki to DT Seattle area as this place will make you enter food heaven. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Lehua S.

Yelp
So good! You can get corn on the cob or have them put the corn in a cup! They have different toppings they put on, I think a favs is the Mexican or Central American. I had the American cob and it was super good. We also had mango which they cut for you right there. They're quick ! You can also choose to make it "spicy". Very very good.
google avatar

Karen T.

Yelp
The guy that works there not wearing a mask and when I asked him y not?the answer is I'm vaccinated!!It is mandated to wear a mask!!!he doesn't care!!that just nasty!!pls don't go here
google avatar

Skylar M.

Yelp
Nothing more I can say besides the MOST top notch corn and service, I've been to dozens of elote stands/shops/restaurants in washington and none of them hold a finger to this one here in Seattle. Just go. Spoil your taste buds. Enjoy it while it lasts.
google avatar

Uyen P.

Yelp
Best elotes you can ever find. It's even better than the one i had in Puerto Vallarta! And the pricing is
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite corn stand and taco truck duo! I was excited to get my my elotes but it looks like they are remodeling.

Yelp
Proletariat Pizza says it put White Center on the map, but I deep-down believe that it was this Mexican Roasted Corn Stand! No one can resist a down-to-earth "elote," no matter who you are! I had been searching near and far for some Latinos here in Seattle and finally hit the spot. All this time they have been hiding in White Center and South Park. Squatting in the parking lot of an Asian produce market is the infamous corn stand. Here's how it works: -Pick up cash from an ATM (Cash only!) and pull your car into the lot during their business hours of 10 am - 10 pm daily -Decide whether you want an ear of corn or shaved corn in a cup. -Choose a size. -Make your corn "pop" by giving it an ethnic twist and flavor: --American: Butter, salt, black pepper --Mexican: Mayonnaise, powdered cheese, chili powder, lemon juice --Asian: Plain --Central American: Mayonnaise, powdered cheese, mustard, ketchup, chili powder --African: Lemon juice, chili powder, salt Side note: I personally found it funny that the Asian is plain. -Enjoy/Disfrute! -Warning: The powdered cheese is crack because you will find yourself craving more corn and returning. If you'd like porn, I mean CORN, and a movie, they have a selection of burned DVDs for sale too.

Yelp
Never has an ear of corn tasted so good! Sure, they have a few seasoning variations to choose from, but I recommend the "Mexican" and make it spicy! Hot out of the husk and made to order, this humble stand delivers the good stuff. Cash only. $2.50 each.

Yelp
Hands down the best!!! So good! We love this place. There is on in Burien too. They do take card as well, sometimes they only take cash but when we are there they take card.

Yelp
I turn into Pavlov's dog, salivating, when I even think about this place. There are a handful of Elote places in town but this one is easily the best. They have the traditional version with cheese, mayo and lime but they also do several other styles with other types of sauces and toppings. They'll put it in a cup which is useful for us bearded folk or if you want to eat it somewhere else besides the middle of White Center(kind of a rough block there.) It's run by a family and they are as nice as can be. I really like supporting a small business like this.

Yelp
So delicious! Mexican corn on the cobb was On Point! Her menu is descriptive so you know exactly what to expect & its served up just like the picture. I'll be going back for more!
