Yelp
I came here years ago, and since I was in the neighborhood thought I would drop in since I am a sandwich fanatic.
I now remember why it has been years that I haven't been here. Before writing my review I read the others, almost all 5 stars? Um me think not.
This sub shop is small no tables inside to sit and eat but have a couple outside with umbrellas, no stars taken from this. They sell chips have a decent selection, it is a sub shop so you can't expect it to be Publix... Good drink selection as well, they have Snapple which is a major plus for me as I am also a tea fanatic.
Friendly service, greets you right when you come in, helps you immediately, food out in less than 3 minutes no lie - great service.
Okay so I'm home ready to gobble this good looking sub down ( Iwould have taken a picture but I was too hungry folks) First bite, wait did I take a first bite, I don't taste anything... Yes it is that bland! OH. MY. GOD. I have never had a more bland sandwich or any type of food for that matter in my life. I kid not.
I had the grilled chicken and mushroom on wheat (full) tomatoes, pickles, onions cooked and raw, provolone cheese, mustard, mayo, salt, pepper(extra), oregano, oil and vinegar. You would think I would taste something, but all I could taste was the large amount of unseasoned chicken. The sandwich is called grilled chicken AND mushroom, where are the mushrooms? I had a handful, and by that I mean 5.
I stopped eating got up and got salt, pepper, and oregano to add to the sandwich, and it still didn't help! The unseasoned chicken just overwhelmed the whole sandwich.
Oh man what a bummer! I was so happy because the service was amazeballs, but the food is a no go.
I am not sure if I even want to come back and try the honey chicken everyone talks about... 8.19$ (price for my sub) down the drain on another disappointment... probably not.
I will stick to my original sub shop - Linda's on Sunset & 87th - never a disappointment there!
