It’s from the same folks as its sister spots Anvil, Refuge, Squable, and Theodore Rex, and just as much booze. During happy hour, BLT’s sippability quotient doubles. Every weekday, the house cocktails, beers, and wines by the glass are half off from 2 to 5pm. "This Heights bar, named after the 2002 Justin Lin movie of the same name, is one of the city’s finest places to grab a casual drink and dinner. The fried chicken sandwich — a super craggy-crunchy handheld spiced with paprika butter — is a highlight for both weekday visits and one of Houston’s best brunches, but diners can also indulge in its other major draws, including Pasta Tuesdays, weekly steak nights on Wednesdays, and its solid smash burger. The Cold Fashioned is a BLT mainstay — it’s been on the bar’s menu since it opened in 2017. The bold libation combines bourbon, rum, and Spanish brandy with piloncillo and a dash of bitters for a balanced flavor. "One of the most happening spots in The Heights—other than the nonstop pedestrian crosswalk at Heights and 7th—might be the patio. Covered with canopies and multi-colored neon lights, BLT’s patio is a great place to stuff your face with a spaghetti and burrata sandwich at brunch, oysters by the half dozen, sauced-up cheeseburgers, and Italian beef sandwiches spiked with chili crisp along with an ever-rotating colorful cocktail menu.
