We ordered an assortment of food here, and every single thing was amazing. Not only was the atmosphere and the ambiance great but so was the food. The shrimp and grits were some of the best I’ve had in the whole city and the oxtails were amazing. I even got to meet the owner and she was so generous and so sweet. I can’t wait to come back and support this business. This place is absolutely worth the hype.

The service was absolutely amazing! Our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We came on a busy Saturday with a party of nine, and the staff handled everything quickly and courteously. We started with appetizers—lobster deviled eggs, wings, and dip—which came out hot, fresh, and in generous portions. Everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was nothing short of delicious! Perfectly crispy, tender, and well-seasoned—I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting. This place exceeded our expectations, and I can’t wait to come back!

A Vibe and a Meal Worth Coming Back For! I had such a great time at Betty Sue! I ordered the fish and grits and the Asian wings—both were so flavorful and cooked just right. I also treated myself to a banana muffin and a strawberry mimosa, and let me tell you… chef’s kiss! The energy in the space was just as good as the food. The staff was welcoming and attentive, and Daniella, the owner, made me feel right at home. You can tell she really cares about creating a great experience. I’m already planning my next visit. This spot is definitely a new favorite!

Google
The customer service was amazing. There was a long line that moved pretty fast. A lot of people are town for Beyonce, but they made it worth the wait. The food was hot, fresh and well seasoned. Everything came out fast and smoking hot. It was cute, small and intimate inside. There is R&B that’s playing as well. The owner ensured we were happy and satisfied. I will always visit when in Atlanta.

Google
Betty Sue’s Restaurant is a hidden gem! The wait time to be seated was short, and while it took a little while for our food to arrive, it was absolutely worth it. The owners, Daniella and Bryant, were incredibly warm and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. We tried the shrimp and grits, catfish and grits, salmon croquettes with grits, and wings—everything was delicious! Highly recommend this spot for great food and great hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Google
Breakfast at Betty Sue’s was an absolute delight! The food and service were excellent, creating a truly memorable experience. Jennifer, our server, was attentive, friendly, and ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal. One of the standout moments was the kindness of Danielle, the owner, who went above and beyond by offering additional lobster tail as appetizers—a generous touch that made us feel truly welcomed. As for the meal, I had the fish and grits and it was nothing short of delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the dish was prepared with great care. Whether you're looking for a fantastic meal or a warm and inviting atmosphere, this place is definitely worth visiting!

Google
Betty Sue’s Breakfast is hands down the best spot for a hearty, delicious breakfast! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and friendly service that made us feel right at home. The staff was attentive, making sure our coffee was always full and that we had everything we needed. Now, let’s talk about the food—absolute perfection! The pancakes were fluffy, golden, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, while the French toast was perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, with just the right amount of sweetness. Every bite was a delight! If you're looking for a place with amazing food, welcoming service, and that cozy, hometown feel, Betty Sue’s Breakfast is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Google
The oxtails and grits were so good! The oxtails were super tender and flavorful, and the grits were creamy and just right. Everything was seasoned well — you can tell they take their time with the food. The potatoes were crispy and the eggs were fluffy too. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

Yelp
Amazing food and service! Highly recommend the pancakes, fruity pebbles French toast and lobster deviled eggs.

Yelp
The food was simply amazing, I would put this on the top of your lists for restaurants to visit! The vibe was good and the people were so welcoming.

Yelp
My experience wasn't exactly 5 stars but I will admit the way Daniella the owner handled my mishap won me over in the end. Y'all don't sleep on this place. The food is delicious and I would come back again and be adventurous to try the oxtail & grits OR the lobster deviled eggs next time as those are the 2 signature dishes here. The fruity pebble French toast was delish & the breakfast biscuit I had was a lil taste of the south. Here's where I was lost before Daniella saved things. My server while she was new & I can appreciate quoted me a different price for an item that was not on the menu than showed up on my bill at the end. She told me it was $7 and a $10 charge showed up on my bill initially. So seeing that was disappointing as well as the surprise 20% auto gratuity that I did not see mentioned anywhere on the menu or in the establishment itself. Times are hard I get it... but I couldn't help but feel cheated in that moment. I called Daniella over to my table. I explained to her where I was coming from and she explained where she was coming from. And while I don't agree with the explanation I respected it. It saddens me that enough people go out and leave nothing for a server that a business feels the need to enforce a tip. She honored the price that I was originally quoted and in the end I left my waitress an even nicer tip. 20% Gratuity added to dine in Bills If you live here or are visiting time to time like me go and Support this Queens new establishment. It really is a taste of Atlanta

Yelp
Food: Shrimp n grits - excellent 10/10 Biscuits n gravy - meh 2/10. Gravy tasted peculiar. Can't put my finger on it. Perhaps flour not cooked enough or old fat/grease used? Ambiance: Restaurant is snug - about 6-8 two-top tables. We came for breakfast/brunch. There was a guard wearing a Kevlar vest at the entrance. Location: Not many businesses are open in this part of downtown. The walkway leading to the restaurant is a thoroughfare for vagrants.

Yelp
Beyoncé brought me here! We were in town for cowboy carter and found this place on yelp! The decor brings you in, but the food and hospitality keeps you wanting more! We ordered the following items: oxtail and grits- super tender, seasoned well, and excellent of meat to bone ratio shrimp and grits - packed with incredible flavor! French toast - yummy !!! breakfast sandwich - the biscuit was HUGE, buttery, fluff! It stayed well constructed with every bite. The food was 10/10! Can't wait to come back next time we're in town!

Yelp
This place is busy. Expect to wait if you come in a group. When the power came out she asked if anyone wanted to sit at the bar. Since I was alone I decided to go this route. When I sat down it was just a bit unorganized. I waited until I was approached to order. I had to ask for water multiple times when others that came after me go their drinks before me. My order came out wrong but quickly fixed. I just felt like I was an inconvenience when there. The food was ok. The place was small and busy.

Yelp
This is one of the best brunch places in Atlanta. We got The lobster, deviled egg, the oxtail and grits, the Oreo, waffles, fried chicken, and a mimosa. Oh wait, I almost forgot about the biscuit! This place is on point. I would definitely recommend and will come back again. Jennifer was our server and she was amazing.

Yelp
It's a yes for me!! A few friends and I decided to patronize this restaurant after my sister sent me a tik tok video featuring it. We walked in on a Saturday and had no problem being seated. The restaurant is small in square forage, but everything else is not!! Let's first start with the service. The owner is amazing! She was there working and was extremely involved. She makes sure that every customer is happy !! The ambience : It gives off AKA vibes with the pink and green decor. Think chic and modern. The food: I had the shrimp and grits with eggs and toast- I enjoyed every bite of my meal. I will say I don't eat a ton of salt, so it was a little salty for my taste buds. A friend tried the Oxtails and grits and also loved her meal. Overall , this spot was a hit! I would recommend checking them out.

Yelp
The restaurant is located right outside of a MARTA station. The windows have wallpaper, so you can't see on the inside, but when we opened the door we were greeted by a beautiful decor. I got the salmon croquettes and grits which were delicious. My husband got the shrimp and grits and the sauce used for the shrimp was amazing.

Yelp
Look! I have not had a five-star experience at a restaurant in a very long time. This was so good that it took me out of your retirement! I had to write a review! We found them on Yelp and and knew immediately based on the food and the decor that this was going to be a great experience. The menu makes you want to try everything so I know I have to come back. To maximize you the experience my wife and I got to entrees and split them. We also got an appetizer because we just had to try the lobster deviled eggs. They were incredible! They do not skmip you on the lobster which is great. For entrees, while we literally wanted to try everything we chose the oxtails and grits and the chicken and waffles. Like how can you see oxtails and grits on a menu and not try it. I had to do it! Chicken and waffles are of course a staple but they give you options to upgrade your waffle to an Oreo waffle or a fruity pebbles waffle. We went with Oreo and syrup was not needed. It's basically a cake waffle. Delicious! Service was also great. Pack your patience though because the food may take some time but definitely worth the wait.

Sophia Q.

Yelp
Service was amazing and quick!! Jennifer and Lina were so sweet! They made the experience so memorable for us. The grits are to die for!!!!
google avatar

Sabrina H.

Yelp
The food and service was great. drinks are made from scratch and so good. Oreo waffles are amazing, Ox tails are amazing! You won't go wrong with the chicken and waffles and the lobster deviled eggs are a must have. You will live the ambiance!

Deborah P.

Yelp
I surely hope Jennier is there when you go! Her energy is full of light. She was so authentic and attentive. The atmosphere is amazing. The food was so good and provided the southern comfort I needed. Grits don't need any add ons. Try them. Trust me!
google avatar

Kayla R.

Yelp
I drove down from Gwinnett. My grandma is a true Southern belle, and we couldn't find anyone serving liver or salmon croquettes. Might I say--it was worth the drive. This is, quite possibly, the first brunch spot in Atlanta to get it right. The food is delicious; not salty & perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere is not pretentious--surprising, considering the elaborate decor. The pricing is good & it's right next door to Binky's. Turn left on Peachtree & park along the street. The establishment is a bit hidden, but once you find it, you won't regret it. We WILL be back!

Yelp
Since returning to the office full time, I've been searching for a the best spot to grab breakfast from near my office. Welp, search no further Betty Sue's ATL is that spot!! Located near the downtown five points Marta station, don't let the unassuming location fool you. The restaurant was clean, staff/service was great, and so was the food. I ordered the Sausage+egg+cheese biscuit, which was probably one of the best I've had. I will definitely be patronizing this spot a few times a week.
google avatar

Chad S.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is in a very undesirable location (The guy at the door was wearing a bulletproof vest) but that doesn't ever stop me for good food. But that wasn't the case here. Most of the food was cooked in the microwave. The pancakes were actually decent but everything else just wasn't worth paying actual money for. The food looked nothing like the photos I've seen in other reviews and the restaurant itself was dirty, the bacon we ordered would have been ok but as the server was about to give it to us it fell off of the plate onto a super dirty tray. Not to mention that right when we finished we were kicked out of our table so they could seat more unsuspecting victims. There are so many amazing places to eat in Atlanta, don't waste your time here.

Robby G.

Yelp
Group of 4 came here to grab a nice meal before flying back home. Was greeted and sat immediately. Food was absolutely fantastic. I ordered Baul's Shrimp and Grits and chose toast. Seasoned and cooked to perfection with the right amount shrimp for the portion size. My wife had Ivy's Oxtail and Grits and she chose the biscuit. The meat was very very tender and packed with flavor. The other 2 with us had the French Toast and Breakfast Biscuit and they really enjoyed their meal. We were checked in on multiple times while we were here to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. Our experience was very pleasant and felt very welcome. If we ever make our back to ATL, we will definitely be coming back. If you're in downtown Atlanta, this is worth your visit.

Yelp
Food is good and fairly priced, but they have erratic hours. They dont always open at their stated times. They also have inconsistent service. Some things they could improve: Take online or phone orders Permanently change their hours to times that they can be open consistently.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
Great food for the price. Very intimate space. Good service. A little challenging location..the area is still in revitalization mode. Go with a friend.

Matthew H.

Yelp
I was looking for some great food and southern hospitality and I found it here! Jennifer was super friendly and the food was to die for. I would definitely make the trip from Phoenix, Arizona just to come here again!!

Carlee B.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!!! Daniella was great and she really took care of us! I had the lobster deviled eggs and the fish and grits. Best grits I've ever had!!!! Everything came out piping hot! Delicious and quick! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in ATL. And maybe they will open a spot in Charlotte!
google avatar

Tim A.

Yelp
The food was seasoned perfectly. Chicken and waffles may have been the best I've ever had! Grits were over the top! Brace yourself and get the southern lobster deviled eggs...crazy good! Service was top shelf. Felt like a family member.

Alex S.

Yelp
We drove past the address and couldn't find the location. Which is a bummer because all the food looked amazing!

Ashley G.

Yelp
The food is amazing! And the decor is adorable. Check this place out when you are in Atlanta. The staff is super nice too!
google avatar

Dennis R.

Yelp
Food and service were both excellent! We ordered the oxtails and grits and the salmon croquettes and grits. The oxtails were tender and flavorful and the croquettes were crispy and well seasoned. Enjoyed our experience and would come back again!

Ran W.

Yelp
Dont go!! The last couple visits haven't been good, and I keep giving the place another chance. This morning ended with the owner changing the rules of the establishment and then putting her hands in my face after my response/protest (it was obvious at that point). With the economy going the way it is, DON'T SUPPORT THESE BUSINESSES!!

Laure H.

Yelp
Amazing food, beautiful ambiance and great service. What more can you want! So happy we came in
google avatar

Derrick W.

Yelp
This place had me rethinking my dietary habits. I had been fiending for some oxtails and ordered some oxtails and grits to see what they were working with. The result was dayum, dayum, dayum. The meal was full of flavor, the gravy did not overpower the grits...and meal was quite filling. The salmon croquettes were well seasoned. The scrambled eggs were an afterthought because everything else was just plain yummy. The attention from the staff was comforting. There is plenty more to choose from so I will be back.

Ashley S.

Yelp
I came straight here with my mom after our flight and we were so hungry. Ive never been here before and found them on IG - the food looked good. As soon as we arrived, the hostess was so kind to us all the way until we left. the food was so seasoned and came out quick. the catfish and grits is a MUST. I'm not from here but will definitely come back anytime I'm in Atlanta.

Yelp
Arrived on Wednesday, and Thursday 6th and the 7th March 2025..purchased their breakfast special, for $8.00 dollars?..the restaurant decor is really elegant and stylish..the staff was pleasant and professional. The downtown community was eager to visit this new establishment..my order was simple..i purchased 2,of the specials...grits scrambled eggs, buttered toast...turkey bacon , for 1 special and a polished sausage for the 2nd special ..the food was fresh hot,the grits were different for me,they had a touch of garlic taste, but were very good.. I will be returning to purchase their famous fruity..peebles..french..toast and vanilla waffles breakfast ....the wait was not long..if you're in the downtown five points area and are looking for a great value, for lunch and breakfast..please walk in have a seat, and sample some good food..the staff is professional, polite ,friendly and caring about your needs,no matter your budget..

Corey P.

Yelp
These guys are ok. Just ordered the oxtails .. it was decent, but worst of all was the attitude and service quality of the owner / manager. When I tried to order the $8 deviled eggs that was advertised on their wall menu it rang up as $20 + dollars. I asked the server why did it rang up as $20 when it was advertised on the menu as $8. She shrugged her shoulders then brought the owner over to explain why there was a difference in price. The owner then mentions that because of the price of eggs had gone up, now so did the side items cost $20 .... I politely declined. The owner / manager then proceeds to try to embarrass me by yelling to the kitchen " don't start on those eggs Tony" "Has he even paid? ... did he even order something? As if she was trying to hint that I was there wasting their time. Low and behold I had paid $28 for the oxtails and was looking to repatronize their business by trying more menu items. The point is I felt very uncomfortable and insulted from trying to get clarity on the discrepancies between what was posted on the menu and what was charged at the point of sale. Note to the owner: if you could update the menu prices this would highly decrease the amount of friction between customers. The restaurant hasn't been open that long for there to have been a drastic change in "market egg" prices. Poor preparation. Even if it has somehow spiked in the past month just pay the extra money to update your menus. There are even cheaper alternatives like striking out the original price and placing a new label over the old with the updated pricing. On top of that parking is a hassle. Will not be returning

Joanne L.

Yelp
Wow--Betty Sue's was such a treat! The staff were super friendly and didn't mind all my questions (I had a lot). I went with the chicken and waffles and added grits on the side--so good! The grits were a standout, and I even grabbed a bottle of their Hotlanta Hot Sauce to take home. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. Great food, great people--you won't regret it!

Yelp
We were really craving some catfish and grits and found Betty sues. The food did not disappoint it was so good and just what we were needing. Daniella the owner was so kind and Ally our server was quick with the service and explained all menu items so well. I will be back, I loved the music playing and the vibe of the restaurant!

Corrinne B.

Yelp
Oxtail with Grits was everything we could have expected and the sauce on the shrimp and grits ... I could put on everything! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! Highly recommend if you are in ATL check out Betty Sue's! Real taste of the south!

Yelp
Great food, great service, great price! It's a welcome addition to downtown Atlanta - and it's convenient to 5 points.

Yelp
Although I suspect that this was not a typical experience my son, daughter-in-law and I had a most unfortunate experience when we went to Betty Sue's for the first time yesterday April 27. We arrived about noon and had an event to attend after that. The problem was that they were having a birthday celebration with about 20 people who needed a lot of attention. The owner and servers were clearly overwhelmed just attending them. I suspect that there was only one cook. We were seated at a table to the right under the large TV and speaker. For safety there should not be a table close under a large TV. The speaker there was playing music so loud we could not hear each other talk. It took about 30 minutes for the server to take our order and an hour to get our food. The owner looked frantic. While she was completely hands on it was clearly too much for her. Our server, Kendra, tried so hard and at times she was so distressed she was crying. Then I went to give her a hug and she told me that her "baby's daddy" passed away the night before. We gave her an extra large tip. The only positive thing was the food was absolutely delicious and portions very large. We understand that it's only been open a few months. I hope that they learn lessons from this and plan for coverage for events and have enough staff to cover accordingly.
