"Opening Sunday, March 2 in downtown Atlanta’s Five Point Plaza at 20 Broad Street S.W., this upscale all-day-breakfast spot is launched by Bryant “Chef Baul” Williams and his partner Daniella Williams. Inspired by Bryant’s grandmother, Betty Sue, the concept focuses on Southern comfort fare served in a cozy atmosphere, with a menu of breakfast and brunch staples such as chicken and waffles, French toast, salmon croquettes, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, and oxtails and grits — all of which can be topped with Bryant’s Hotlanta sauce, a honey hot sauce. Bryant is a self-taught chef with expertise in Southern, Caribbean, and Asian flavors; he started Chef Baul Catering in 2013, worked as a private chef to rappers including Cardi B., Kendrick Lamar, and Gucci Mane, and even toured as the personal chef for rap group Migos. This is the pair’s second restaurant together (after the soul food spot Binky’s); Bryant’s first restaurant attempt fell through, but Daniella — a financial literacy expert and former celebrity hairstylist — helped him apply her business and finance knowledge to get this one off the ground. Once open, service will be breakfast and brunch Tuesday through Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m." - Erin Perkins
