"Previously a cloister, this fine historical building is full of character. It now houses a restaurant, wine bar and cocktail bar, plus tables laid out in the inner courtyard – bliss on those balmy summer evenings. Mathieu Desmarest, chef of MICHELIN-starred restaurant Pollen, devises the menu; his wife Émilie, meanwhile, takes care of the music at this friendly, party-loving venue. As for the food, the contemporary repertoire is prepared to order, using fresh, seasonal ingredients, with Mediterranean undertones, eg sea bream ceviche, fennel and cherries; Ardèche trout, almonds, roast white asparagus and white wine sauce." - Michelin Inspector

This place is amazing. The food is delectable and the plating is beautiful. One of the rotating menu sets had beef rossini which was so flavorful and tender with the foie gras. In addition, they have a kids menu with a smaller serving of two of the main courses from the set menu. The desserts were spectacular as well. The service was great and they give you an amuse bouche to start. The food came pretty quickly and the staff were nice. The space has a very nice ambiance and the decor is nice. I would recommend this place.

Only seating is OUTSIDE even in hot summer. Bring mosquito repellent (or ask for some at the host stand). Service and atmosphere get a 5/5 for sure, however, the food was... Good but not on par with the 5/5 rating of the other two components. The tomato salad was extremely bland as if someone just diced tomatoes and poured olive oil over them. The desserts were quite unassuming, especially for a national cuisine that specializes in desserts... As most mention - the ambiance at sunset with the dj is very magical.

This place has both a bar and a restaurant — both are seriously worth checking out. Last year we had dinner at the restaurant, and it was top. Great food, great service, and the setting is just beautiful — it’s inside a historic building that feels really special. This time we hung out at the lounge bar, and it was just as impressive. Cosy, stylish, with good music and really well-made cocktails. Plus, the waiters? Let’s just say they add to the experience. The whole vibe is unbeatable — relaxed but classy. Definitely a go-to spot whether you’re in the mood for a full dinner or just drinks.

Richard looked after us so well and we’ve had the most amazing dinner in Avignon! Beautiful atomosphere and building and the dinner was fantastic. Richard even stopped to say Hi on the street a few days later when we were leaving Avignon - a generous gesture like this makes our trip so memorable. We would love to visit here again one day!

Being a vegan in France is always intimidating. Especially when you are being taken to such a fancy restaurant with a famous chef. I didn't need to worry, the staff were super accommodating and we're able to put something together for me, bespoke, that was delicious, healthy, and didn't make me feel like I was missing out. The dish itself was an asparagus starter with a herb and olive dressing, followed by a delightful seasonal vegetable dish, filled with beans, greens, pea shoots, and bedded on a squash pureé. Delighted with it and would happily go again. The wine list is also excellent and filled with local gems of the southern Rhône.

A most pleasant experience: the food (I had the 39 euro menu and can definitely recommend it), the atmosphere and the service were all exceedingly good.

We had high hopes & expectations which weren't fully met. The setting was beautiful. The servers were friendly. The food was mostly good but nothing fabulous. It was all attractively served. The portions were small; the 4-course meal was enough, but we didn't leave stuffed. They allow smoking in the dining area - which is outside so I guess it's understandable - but it's not pleasant when the table next to you is doing it while you're eating. We would have liked to have wine suggestions from the chef with the courses. Not sure we'd go back or recommend to others.

The outdoor courtyard is delightful. In many ways, being seated here on a lovely evening is all the reason you need to go to Bibendum. This former cloister is uniquely charming. The staff are welcoming and friendly. There are two set menus, but dishes can also be ordered a la carte. The food is very good, but not superb. Well presented, flavorful, but not special. Still, I’d recommend Bibendum because you can have a good meal in an amazing & historic location.
