Persian kebabs, sandwiches, falafel, and flavorful sides

"The food Fares Kargar’s fast-casual Ponce City Market stall is now 100 percent halal. The menu leans Iranian, with a solid selection of sandwiches and kebabs, which come with rice, grilled tomato, and torshi pickles. Although there are a few cocktails and beers available, there’s also a number of halal beverages including doogh (yogurt soda), sharbat (homemade soda), and iced coconut chai." - Eater Staff
"As the fast-casual, counter-service sister to the popular Delbar, Bibi also serves up wonderful Persian favorites—but in quick-eats form. Perfectly tender koobideh kabobs sit on a bed of fluffy rice. Every bite of the joojeh sandwich stuffed with thick cuts of marinated chicken, pickles, and onions causes dill labneh to drip out the side. The falafel plate gives you four crispy chickpea balls and a reasonably sized portion of creamy hummus. It’s not as good as Delbar, but this stall works as a reliable spot to snag a stellar lunch in between work meetings." - juli horsford, nina reeder, jacinta howard

"Housed in Ponce City Market, Bibi Eatery is presented as a perfect, budget-friendly way to experience Fares Kargar’s cultural quilt—try the yogurt-, saffron-, and onion-marinated hanger steak kebab with lentil and raisin rice ($20); the braised lamb and dill labneh sandwich with barberries ($17); the falafel plate with spicy tahini and hummus ($11); cool off with iced coconut chai ($7) or sharbat homemade soda; or treat yourself to an Azadi ($12), a gin drink with grapefruit, cardamom, and mint." - Su-Jit Lin
