"Bibimbar, a subterranean restaurant in San Francisco’s Financial District, hides from the city’s view like precious abalone on the bottom of a boulder. A parade of businesses’ shared signage on Bush Street is the only way to know that Bibimbar and a cadre of other restaurants lie directly below in Belden Place’s International Food Court. Steep steps lead to a cafeteria-like counter and a tiled floor littered with a smattering of gold-backed chairs and plain tables." - Paolo Bicchieri

Everytime I'm in SF I do my best to stop in here. They serve just Bi Bim Bap, hot stone bowl or regular, and with a great selection of meats. I like the spicy pork belly a lot. But what I always take away is a jar of Kimchi.

Get the stone bowl with bulgogi. It's awesome! Careful with the spicy sauce. It is really spicy.

I have been going to this place for the past 12 years except when everything shutdown in 2020. The flavor is all there. My only suggestion would be to add more rice or noodle so the bowl is fuller. I always run out of rice when I am eating the bowl. I'm glad this place reopened and hope they stay open from here on out. I had the beef bowl, chicken bowl, pork bowl and spice pork bowl today. Fed the office and they loved it!

Korean food = good. Fast food Korean food = not as good. This spot is located inside an Asian Food Court with a decent amount of seats, but not enough for the lunch crowd during a weekday lunch. After much debate about which Asian cuisine I felt like eating for that meal, I decided to get something from BibimBar (clever name BTW). I got the japchae (glass noodles) with a few sauces and chicken. Usually I'm a huge fan of japchae, but it was just okay here. The sauces were okay and the veggies they put on top were okay. There was nothing super impressive about this place, but it does get you a quick customized meal for a decent price (for SF anyways). Overall, it was okay.

Great place for Korean food. The ordering system is very similar to Chipotle. I ordered the bulgogi beef with some sauces on top and was very happy with my meal. Staff was very friendly. For $10 plus tip it was fantastic. The food court has a busser and it was nice to easily leave after a meal.

Ordered bibimbar for our office lunch. Everyone loved it! The food is great, super easy to order online. Just finding parking for pick up is a little challenging but totally worth it. They’re inside the international food court.

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Let me repeat that again - don't be afraid of this place because of its "food court" setting. Bibim Bar is legit the bomb dot com. This is right down the street from my office so I tend to find myself here more often than I'd like to admit but it's totally worth it! I typically get a regular bowl with brown rice, all of the veggies, chicken, bulgogi, or spicy pork belly for a protein, kimchi, and medium spicy sauce. Every different combination I've tried has been amazing. I highly recommend this place!

Fan of bibimbap? I am. It's a Korean dish that is traditionally a stir fried rice dish with all the left over side dishes from the fridge. It is usually served in a hot stone pot so that the rice at the bottom gets crispy as you eat it down. Bibimbar offers their version for $9 cafeteria style. It's located in this really shady looking International Food Court area in FiDi. There's no servers, you walk up and stand in line to get your authentic stone pot bibimbap. Not the best ambience but for the price, it cannot be beat. Great place to take coworkers.
