If you’re into Mexican food, you have to check out Bibisol! We went for Sunday brunch and honestly, every single dish was packed with flavor and so thoughtfully made. You can tell they really put love into what they do. The service was super friendly and professional, and the whole place has a stylish, upbeat vibe. It’s such a fun spot — hands down one of the best places for amazing Mexican flavors and good energy. We booked a reservation ahead of time, which I’d definitely recommend!

Food is unlike any other authentic restaurant you will find... amazing, and atmosphere is about as perfect as you can get it, but the service is the reason why I come here every time I'm in Sioux Falls. Every employee makes eye contact with you and smiles when they walk by, they are so incredibly nice, and they take an interest in their customers and their conversations. Still have yet to find another place like this

Not impressed. Service was really good and they were extremely attentive! The food : not too many options, small portions and flavor was regular. I asked the aioli garlic sauce and that gave some flavor to my tamale 🫔 My bf had the pork belly tacos and he loved it. Still, only two tacos for $16 My flavorless tamale was $20 Beautiful decoration and nice atmosphere

This was a religious experience! Incredible experience for those looking for a surprisingly fresh and complicated taste palate - with locally-sourced and made from scratch food. Hands down the best meal I have experienced. Wish we loved closer, we would be here everyday! Wow! 🤯

Google
Fantastic experience. The food was delightful, everything fresh and bursting with flavor. I really appreciated the bartender explaining the process of how the restaurant sources the food both locally and from Mexico. Cannot recommend it enough, cannot wait to go back again with my wife!

Love the old building. The 25 burger battle burger was absolutely delicious. We really enjoyed the sauce and fresh cucumber 🤤 It is best to have a reservation. The shrimp tacos are a MUST. The pork belly was good also. We will be back to try more menu items. Highly recommend

Google
The food is delicious though the portions are on the smaller side, which makes for not the best value. Be prepared to order multiple dishes. Service very attentive. It's a small restaurant, good for couples or groups of 4 but would not recommend a larger group to come.

I grew up in Southern California, eating freshly made ceviche and hand-made tortillas. I have been to 9 cities and 3 coasts in Mexico, and BibiSol is every bit as good as my childhood experiences! We were seated, educated & served all by 1 of the co-owners. No one does that anymore. They do! My dining companion & I shared chips and warm salsa roja followed by tamales & ceviche (📸 below). In my HUNDREDS of reviews. I award this restaurant as my all-time favorite MEXICAN RESTAURANT.

Yelp
Had a great first time experience dining at Bibisol, Mexican restaurant. Upon arrival, the owner and head chef greeted us at our table and explained the menu. This was helpful as it brings a little bit more insight to what nixtamal is. The food was delicious, vibrant and fresh. I particularly enjoyed the tortillas tasting like real maíz. We also enjoyed the tres leches cake with flan inside. I'd recommend visiting this restaurant if you're ever in Sioux Falls!

Yelp
Had a delicious lunch out at Bibisol! What attracted me here is how amazing they are with allergies. I am gluten free and I felt very safe eating here. It's super cute inside and out waitress Erika was amazing. She was kind, helpful and made us feel so safe with our allergies. She loves her job and knew that menu like the back of her hand. She gave some great recommendations. I got the nachos and I wasn't the biggest fan of them but the chicken did taste well, I think it was just a personal choice. My friend loved her food. I can't wait to come again and try out more foods!

Yelp
The ambiance in here is beautiful. The food is a 10! Pork belly tacos are a must! Ceviche was a delicious starter too. Jarritos soda makes it feel as rooted as it can be in this fusion of authentic but modern fusion Mexican food! I will be coming back. We walked in randomly on a weekend and they were so friendly and welcoming. The service was wonderful, they offered recommendations and checked in on us. We re new to town so it felt like a sweet a welcome altogether.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation so we chose to sit at the bar. What a wonderful experience. One of the owners, Chris, was working at the bar and he spent a great deal of time reviewing the menu with us and then making some outstanding suggestions. My only disappointment was that we were only able to eat one dinner there as we were driving through Sioux Falls and were lucky enough to find this restaurant. If you are in Sioux Falls have a meal here. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is great to have in DTSF. Very good food across the board. And congrats on the James Beard award!! That is an amazing accomplishment!! Well deserved. Wouldn't mind if that burger from the battle stayed on the menu. :)

Yelp
Beautiful historic setting with artisan ingredients presented well. I ordered shrimp tacos which turned out to be very tasty. They had just the right amount of heat and were loaded with shrimp. I expected the delicate corn tortillas to crumble or split, but they handled all the fillings nicely. I can't wait to go back and try more items from their menu.

Yelp
to say this experience is brilliant is still short of the genius contained in the ingredients and environment. sioux falls very rarely has something this excellent not only in QUALITY of ingredients and sourcing, but also the knowledge and expertise of staff. this establishment very evidently CARES for the art of food and the preservation of culture. i ordered obviously many things and i think i would actually give my left arm for the tamales (phenomenal texture and flavoring) and the tres leches flan(a power combination). worth EVERY penny, i am glad i got to experience this in my time on earth.

Yelp
We had a good experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere is very beautiful and bright we loved the taquitos and tamale! Shrimp aguachile was a bit acidic and too peppery for us. Food is beautifully plated and creative. Server was very sweet with our kids!

Yelp
Amazing flavors! Had three tacos, one had a carrot mix and was a great veggie option. Chicken and beef were top notch too. The base of the tacos is the in house nixtamal process described as a labor intensive traditional method of making the base of the corn tacos I had and other items. I have never had a soft corn tortilla quite like that, combining a smooth texture with a tangy flavor that went great with the tacos. I am looking forward to trying the other items that use the nixtamal like the sopes and tostadas. There were some great looking seafood options as well. All your favorite local Salas Salsas are available for sale here too. The verde has been a favorite of mine, so good! The meats were super tender and had so many fresh flavors and spices, some were topped with delicate and delicious greens and veggies too. Service and atmosphere were great with big windows overlooking Phillips avenue. Awesome addition to downtown!!

Yelp
Delightful! Good food, very flavorful. Reasonably priced drinks. Food a little pricy but the quality made up for it. We went on a Wednesday night and they were booked but were able to get a seat at the bar without a wait. The service was quick and very accommodating to dietary restrictions (we're dairy free and had no issues).

Yelp
Really amazing food and service, plus the decor and atmosphere is so clearly well thought out and designed. We love all the plants and the gorgeous mural! We've been multiple times over just the last few weeks to sample everything on the menu (and don't want to stop!), however, the last several times we've been in the same man has been sitting at the bar drinking. The concerning part is that we've witnessed him pass out at the bar, be woken up, and then served more alcohol (which my husband thought was illegal?). We were seated near him the last time we were in, and the smell from him + the way he was leering at my younger female friend and I was very off putting, so we did hurry to leave that time.

Yelp
Absolutely, recommend to anyone to go and eat!! Be sure to ask your server how to order to enjoy the full experience of your meal. We did not go leave hungry and we will be back soon!

Yelp
Outstanding food, drinks, and dessert! Love the tortillas. Empanadas and ceviche both great.

Yelp
I am a plant based eater and I had to keep asking if what I was being served was vegan or plant based even though that's what I ordered. My dining companion was eating meat and cheese. And the side of matching cheese sauce was on both of our plate of tacos and drizzled over my plant based nachos. The cheese sauce was removed from my plate after it was served and I asked if it was vegan. It was NOT! May I suggest you get a plant based dessert.

Yelp
I rarely take the time to review on Yelp, but this place is special. I'm in in Sioux Falls for 24 hours for work, and was lucky enough to walk by this place. Like most places downtown Sioux Falls, Bibisol was closed on Labor Day. I'm so glad I made a mental note to come back today. The restaurant is gorgeous, service is great, and the food(flavor and presentation) is outstanding. Fresh, beautiful, and delicious. The nachos and tamales were transcendent. The Salsa Macha is to die for. I hope Sioux Falls folks know how lucky they are to have this place!

Yelp
Fresh, vibrant flavors, a welcome change from the ordinary rice and beans Mexican food. We had spicy potato wedges, sopas with chicken, and a tostada with carrot tinga. All delicious. The atmosphere is clean and light, the service friendly and warm. It is heartening to see a new business working hard to make terrific food with traditional flavors and preparation methods. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I come to Sioux Falls once a year in business. Great add to Sioux Falls...I will definitely return next year!

Yelp
Arrived at our 6pm reservation. The server took 15 minutes to fill waters and another 10 to come back for drink orders. The drinks arrived about 10 minutes later at which time we placed our orders. The food arrived and was good, not great, and we had to waive down our server for drink refills. We also canceled part of our order because of slow service and minimal attention from our server. The restaurant was not busy and was fully staffed so no excuse for subpar service.

Yelp
Excellent authentic Mexican food. Having been to Mexican many times this place has the best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The owners are local and are very Customer focused
