"Biergarten Haus doesn’t mess around when it comes to Oktoberfest. The German beer hall and its outdoor beer garden is a go-to for liters of Spaten paired with pretzels and mustard. And it has a dog-friendly patio. Co-owner Aaron McGovern also runs essential raw bar Brine next door." - Mekita Rivas

Decided to stop in while walking down H Street on a windy night. Really enjoyed the waiter and staff. Sat in the back where there were a lot of TVs with soccer on. There was a fun crowd too. I would definitely go again!

Google
Raspberry lemonade and passion fruit sprite. I got a bauernwurst, bratwurst and knackwurst sausage platter served with sauerkraut, potato pancake and bacon/sweet chili brussel sprouts. My husband got the jägerschnitzel. Everything was absolutely amazing, especially the live music! We even requested a few songs. The starter platters, the spinach artichoke dip and tex mex egg rolls, we're so delicious. The entrees were even better. I will definitely return to this place and 100% recommend to everyone.

We went out to Brunch for our 2 friends birthday. The wait staff were very friendly although at times inconsistent with our orders. This may have been due to the menus switching from brunch to dinner. The food was very good and the drinks were good to. Will visit again and hope to have a better experience.

Google
What a fantastic place for date night. They have Giant steins of kolsch and authentic schnitzel. I was so so happy. I definitely recommend this to everyone. Great atmosphere, warm fire on the inside if you need, and it only gets better, especially later in the evening.

Google
If you're craving authentic German beer, this is the place. Just prepare to pay a bit more than what you're used to in Germany. It is imported after all! If you're living in Germany like me and miss that Biergarten vibe, this is the right place! They have a huge outdoor seating that very much exudes those Biergarten vibes. It's a nice place to chill with friends on a hot summer's night or watch the world cup/UEFA European championship!

Google
Went out on a limb looking for some good beer and authentic German food. Thank goodness the Google reviews didn’t disappoint. This place was amazing. And Laurin was a great server. Will definitely come back when the weather’s a little bit warmer.

Google
Disappointed about all the hype. Ordered a Lemon Shandy aka "Berliner Weisse" and it came with ice cubes. Never had beer with ice cubes so that was a new one going to a Bier Garten. Food was OK but surprisingly filling. Sadly the service was lacking; had ordered the Reuben Sandwich and asked for spicy additions. Wasn't offered the 75 cent jalapeno option that comes with burgers sadly. Drinks were never refilled and the bill never arrived when asked. Sadly the rooftop terrace was also closed. Maybe better service next time around?

Google
Service was slow, my sweet potato fries made my teeth hurt. But the apple sage i had was delicious! And this place is really nicely decorated.

Yelp
Food is great for the place. Service is usually good even when it gets busy. The ambiance is my favorite for watching fútbol on NE DC I recommend !!

Yelp
Definitely a hole in the wall kind of spot! It looks very small from the outside but once you go in it's like an Alice in Wonderland kind of moment! A lot of seating and best part was it felt like I was in Hofbrauhaus in Germany all over again (although not as extravagant but the vibe and the chairs and tables reminded me of it and of course the 1L beers!) Definitely worth going and for $16-18 1L beer in DC especially is a great find! A lot of beer selections! I will definitely try their food next time I come back!

Yelp
TLDR: Spacious beer garden with indoor/outdoor and rooftop deck bars. Vast selection of German beer and food with some fun riffs on the the classics (Cherry Limeade Radler/vodka anyone?). Weather permitting, sit outside on the rooftop deck and enjoy a schnitzel. Vibe: 5/5. This place is huge. There are 3 bars spread throughout the entire complex making it easy to grab a drink even at peak times. During our visit, we had reserved a few tables on the rooftop deck bar which provided us a great atmosphere to hang out with friends. Rooftop tables mostly consisted of repurposed bourbon barrels and 4 tops. TVs are placed throughout all 3 areas of the establishment, making it a great place to watch sports. Service: 5/5. On the rooftop deck, it was walk up service at the bar (no designated waitresses) which appeared to be the norm throughout the rest of the beer garden. Bar staff was attentive and kept the drinks pouring all night long. We also ordered several rounds of food which were promptly brought out. One hiccup happened towards the end of the night where a kitchen runner brought us someone else's food by accident. The bartender who took the order noticed the error and removed the food within 5 minutes, crisis averted. Food/Drink: 4/5. The beer menu is loaded with all your German beer favorites. In addition, they do "beer cocktails" which are essentially German beers spiked with various flavored vodkas. I tried their renditions of the Arnold Palmer (Bitburger Lemon Radler with Deep Eddy Sweet Tea Vodka), cherry limeade (Bitburger Lemon Radler with Deep Eddy Lime Vodka, and a splash of grenadine) and lemonade (Bitburger Lemon Radler with Deep Eddy Lemon Vodka). All were very refreshing and perfect for drinking outside on a hot summer night. The food was pretty good as well. We ordered several rounds of wings, German pretzel rods w/ beer cheese and veal schnitzel for the group and everything came out hot and tasty. Highly recommend the veal schnitzel in all it's tender, fried, flaky goodness.

Yelp
I had a party for 45 people here and Aaron, Geraldo, JP, and Jaime, killed it. They made sure we were all taken care of. Beer was great, the roof top bar was awesome, and the food was fantastic. Everyone had an amazing time and I wouldn't hesitate having another big event here in the future

Doug B.

Yelp
Happened upon this place because I was looking for a roof deck on H St. I didn't realize Germany was playing Portugal in the Euro cup. Was early so got a great seat. By the time I left, it was packed. This would be a great place to watch a match. Great space. Lots of outdoor roof deck and patio space. The inside bar is good from what I saw. Good service. I had the Currywurst Platter which came with fries. I tried the Pork Schnitzel too. Both were ok. For food, I'd give the nod to Cafe Berlin on Mass. However, the experiences, environments are total different. This bar atmosphere is perfect with friends for that match. If you are looking for that, this is it. Cafe Berlin is a nicer evening date or business place. So, impossible to compare the environments. If you are looking for a fun hangout for beverages and nibbles, give them a try. Love the outdoor space.

Yelp
As I'm finally getting back out into the world during COVID, Biergarten is an excellent outdoor place that practices great social distancing! Friend and I went on a Friday evening and grabbed the last outdoor table that was available. All tables were more than appropriately spaced and everyone was great about practicing social distancing and wearing masks around others/going to the bathroom. I got the Berlin-ade to drink (yes I'm the weirdo that orders cocktails at a beer bar) and definitely missed the part where it was a liter drink, whoops! I laughed when it came out, it was very refreshing though, just very large haha. We weren't doing full on dinner, so the one sausage plate was the perfect size if you're not totally famished. I got the knackwurst which came with kraut and a potato pancake. It was all very yummy! Definitely will be back here as I recently moved closer to H St!

Paul L.

Yelp
We met friends for dinner here last weekend. They have a fine beer list but their food options are pedestrian...even for a German restaurant. .and even though we were sitting in the outdoor space the din was unpleasantly loud. Glad to have tried it but we shan't be back

Katharine C.

Yelp
Great service, great seating options, and great food. Went with friends the first night we visited and returned with the parents who used to live in Germany because it was so good

Kyle O.

Yelp
Great menu, service, beers, and food! Very friendly staff that did a great job recommending items and made people feel welcome. The pretzels and wings were good too.. would come back.

Aimee E.

Yelp
I went to a party here. It was such a great venue. I had never been there before and I was impressed. The rooftop space has ample seating and it's own bar. Some of the tables on the rooftop have big umbrellas for sun protection. The drinks and pretzels were tasty. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and they took us straight to the party. On the way we saw these cute, private booths with TVs that would be a nice place to watch a game. I wish I took some pictures while I was there. Also, plenty of bathrooms so a great place for a large group or party.

Jenny O.

Yelp
Biergarten haus has my heart for serving currywurst!! I can never pass these up, and it's one of the first things I seek out whenever I go back to Germany. The sausages were tender, plump and juicy. The curry was delicious. I only wish they gave you more so that I could dip my crispy fries in them. Also, if you have a craving for German beers, look no further! I fully expected to see servers in leiderhosen for how good the food and beers were here (you laugh, but one of my favorite German restaurants in NYC actually does this :) ) I'll be back for dinner!

Chyna M.

Yelp
Love the vibe! Super cute and fun to host events! Would definitely come back with my girlfriends and have a good night!

Maggie K.

Yelp
LOVE! hidden diamond in the rough gem- everybody friendly. clean with great staff, food and superb even staff!

Rodger S.

Yelp
We had a very enjoyable dinner here tonight. We started with the pretzel appetizer with mustard. Not very flavorful & just dough. For dinner I had two sausages (the ones beginning with B). They came with sauerkraut & a potato pancake. Good. My husband had the jaeger schnitzel with spaetzel & cucumbers. He was very happy.

Yelp
Oh wow. I showed up at this place around 5p. I had an appointment for my pup at Atlas Vet across the street. Within minutes of being here, I realized this was a mistake. Someone asked me about the places to hang out in DC and I named them off and then jokingly said how Georgetown is full of douchebags (it is) and this alcoholic who could barely speak went ballistic. Looked to bartending staff? No response. I eventually took my dog across the street for his appointment. While I was there, a nice guy named Brad, who happened to be homeless, started talking to me. I don't want to get into homelessness issues or whatever but he was a good guy and just wanted a drink so I brought him to Biergarten Haus.. JP, the bartender, did NOT like that. I also wonder how he knew he was homeless? Brad was dressed perfectly fine and was soft spoken and caused zero issues. Hmmm, I wonder what it could be. I challenge you, JP, to show the video where I showed up with Brad. You made me explain how I'd take care of him and basically be responsible for him. While you're at it, you can show how the drunk lady screamed at me too. I would normally let this go, but for some fucking reason a couple hours later JP decided he was a man and he was going to show everyone. He started saying that I was 'too loud' and saying 'racist shit'. He said it purposefully towards some African-Americans who had showed up in the last 10 minutes and had no fucking idea what was going on, much less that the only racist shit that night was from JP. They ended up chasing me out of the bar, and would not listen to anything I would say cause... JP (lol). Post the videos - the videos of me being screamed at by your alchy regular and then you freaking out about the fact that a potentially homeless black person was in your bar. If you think there are some videos of me that make you look better than post those too but honestly JP you know what you are.

Yelp
Great place to watch a game. Fast service and the drinks were decent. Didn't get a chance to try the food but it smelled goot!!!

Ahra J.

Yelp
Such an amazing time !! The waiters were super friendly and very knowledgeable about the different beers on tap! Our bartender was also quick with serving the 40+ ppl waiting at the bar! The food was brought out quickly and the taste wasn't comprised. We ordered fries, wings and the veal schnitzel and everything was so fresh! The rooftop deck vibe was amazing too, TV's available for those that like to relax and sit and eat but you can definitely be loud and have a fun time !!

Katherine K.

Yelp
I had a large event here this past weekend and had the best time! Our group was on the rooftop and everything was amazing- the space, food, and beers. This is a great place to host events or even just to stop by for a liter of beer. I would like to give a shoutout to Jaime for the positive experience!

Alyse C.

Yelp
Kyle was extremely friendly and found a beer I loved! Mind you I'm not a beer drinking. He was very patient with me. Great vibes.

Hunter B.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place and I was glad. They have a whole outdoor patio and rooftop patio which was really cool. Their kitchen was closed so did not get a chance to get food but I did try the Pfanner Hard cider and I really enjoyed that. I will definitely go back to try the beer and food.

E H.

Yelp
I went here a few weeks ago and got bit 17 times by mosquitoes......not 1, not 2, but 17. In addition, as soon as you buy food, there is a serious fly problem. The next time I came I put on bug spray and still got bit about 4 times, so did my friends. The beer and food is pretty decent, but you can't really enjoy it because of the bug problem. I am sure there is something they can do, by spraying the property, or at a bare minimum providing some bug spray for guests.

Chris S.

Yelp
I will not spend a great deal of time on this review because Biergarten Haus can be summarized very briefly, overpriced and mediocre. Having traveled extensively in Germany, I know good German bier and food when I taste it. A 1/2 liter of draft German beer (less than 17 ounces) was $8, so I did not taste it and drank water instead. We ordered three pretzel rolls ($5) and even though they looked appetizing, they had obviously been "nuked" (microwaved) because the outside was soft and warm, but the inside was as hard as a rock. The accompanying "homemade" mustard was good and spicy. My wife ordered the Brauernwurst ($14), coming with a single sausage, a potato pancake, and sauerkraut. Everything tasted OK, but you normally get some bread and a salad or soup with German food. That was not the case and my wife, who is rather petite and not a big eater, was still hungry when we returned to our room, eating a yogurt from the fridge. I had the Jägerschnitzel ($20), a breaded pork cutlet with hunter sauce (a brown, mushroom gravy). The cutlet was of decent proportion, but the breading was soft, not crispy as it should have been, obviously nuked like the pretzels. The hunter sauce was watery and bland, adding little taste to the dish. The fries were the decent, nothing special. I was also a bit hungry afterward, so I also had a snack in our room because we were not about to pay $8 for a nuked apple strüdel. Coming in at $50 (for two), including tip, this meal was not a good value and an overall disappointment. The only reason they get 4 bombs instead of 3 was the service. The bartender who took and served our order was extremely kind and efficient, and for that we were grateful. CombatCritic Gives Biergarten Haus 4 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!

Yelp
Pet-friendly space on H Street. Bring Fido for a great beer and German food. We came here to celebrate my father-in-law's 70th birthday one Saturday in September. He loves his dark beer and we love fried food so everyone was happy. Unsurprisingly this restaurant has a large, open outdoor beer garden, which is wonderful during the cooler summer months but mainly not so good when it rains, except a small part of the beer garden which is covered. The outdoor beer garden was the clincher for us because it is pet friendly. You have to walk your dog through an indoors part of the building to reach the pet friendly back area. But once you're out there, there's plenty of space, tons of German-style hewn wood seating around barrel table tops and a very convivial atmosphere for celebrations. Our dog was lavished with attention by the staff, who also brought him water, and by the other customers. Note that this place is sadly only open at the weekends; I think it's actually Thursday through Saturday. It filled up with younger people (21-30yrs) but nobody was unfriendly about us or my in-laws being there and most wanted to let the dog. And the waiter was super kind to my father in law and even bought him a celebratory Jaegermeister, to the horror of my mother-in-law. I recommend the apple strudel. The breaded chicken dishes (Putenschnitzel) are also delicious, as is the red cabbage if you're looking for something slightly healthier on the side. Support this local business, take your dog and a few friends for a beer and a schnitzel to enjoy several of life's finer things all at the same time.

Yelp
In the fairness of Yelp reviews, I feel like I need to give this place a four. As a non-beer fan, I want to give it a three, but I can't fault them for not liking beer so four stars it is. Here's why: 1) This place was the first beer garden type restaurant in DC so props to that. 2) If you like beer, they have a very extensive beer list that comes in all sizes of glasses. 3) They have good German style food like freshly baked pretzels and mustard. 4) They have a great back patio that can seat tons of people making it a great place for groups. If you like beer, go here. If you do not, don't. There are no alternatives to beer if you can't stomach it (Where's the hard cider, people?!).

Chelsea S.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for the end of the Oktoberfest and we had a blast! This place is so good - from the beer to the food. You will not be disappointed. We weren't sure where to start when we first got here, but the bartender in one of the outside patios was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction. This place is a nice hidden gem off H street. We have never been out on H street before and this was our first time exploring on a weekend. This place is awesome. I highly recommend :)

Sophia H.

Yelp
German beer here are fantastic. I tried Spaten Marzen, Paulaner Salvator Doppel Bock, and Schofferhofer Grapefruit Radler - all were delicious. The upstairs interior bar is pretty cramped, but the rooftop was awesome. I came here again for a Germany World Cup match, and it was really fun. Packed with German fans and beer and sausages everywhere! My friend and I split a 2-wurst platter with Bauernwurst and Knackwurst. I am not a fan of veal, but Knackwurst was really good and was much better than Bauernwurst, which tasted like regular hot dog. Also, I have NEVER liked sauerkraut, but the sauerkraut here is less vinegar-y and I can actually EAT it, which was a very big surprise to me. I'm still not crazy about it, but at least, I can eat the sauerkraut here -- as long as I eat it with a piece of wurst, it's really not that bad at all. Beer, vibes, and service = 5 stars Food = 4 stars (typical bar food, don't come with high expectations, of course!).

Lana S.

Yelp
I have come here before for beer offerings but this is one of the few times I've actually eaten here. Came here with a friend before a show. Beer selections are great here btw. We got the loaded fries and chicken schnitzel strips. The strips were a bit overcooked but tasted okay. The lemon aoli was delicious with it though ! The loaded fries were good but nothing special. They have a great staff there and it's always a fun environment !

Linn B.

Yelp
I used to love BGH, and and would come here all the time with my friends! However, it appears they have come under new management and have decided to become rather stuffy and lame. You can no longer just grab a drink at the bar, you have to order from a hostess which I don't really understand because no beer garden anywhere would have this kind of table service where you couldn't just order a good tasty beer from the bar! I wish they had not tried to change so much because I used to love the old place. I will probably still come back here from time to time but will no longer be a regular because it is not a beer garden vibe for me. The idea of having such a massive space is great for large groups of people that just want to come and hang out and order from the bar... But the fact that you are relegated to table service only makes this less desirable than before... if they got rid of the table service, I think I could deal with all the other changes! But it seems as though the waiters and waitresses are just waiting around and not even being used... sad that it changed so much...

Roger M.

Yelp
Terrible management. Came to watch a game and manager decided to arbitrarily change the game that my wife and I were watching half way into our meal in favor of his friends' preferred game. If you're looking for acceptable customer service, this is the wrong establishment.

Kosar K.

Yelp
This place was really cool!! It could have been a much better experience tho without the hot in DC for sure! The staff were friendly and the beer was good i will go back soon again

Denise T.

Yelp
My friend and I were doing a bar hop and we ended up here. I never would have gone in usually, but the bartender was awesome. She was freaking hilarious and ensured we had a great time. She hocked us up and set up a shot ski for us which was so much fun. We didn't order food, but this place is huge and a great place to take a big group. I'd definitely go back again just to hang out.

Ashley F.

Yelp
Great atmosphere! I have yet to have gone to Germany (it's definitely on my list) but I can imagine this is what a beer hall would be like! I met some friends for beer and conversation and stayed for a couple of hours, they have an indoors area for those trying to escape the cold, a middle room that's kind of inside kind of outside, and an outdoor area with heatlamps and seems generally busier. For beer, it's not badly priced and they have a lot of options. I had a grapefruit one that was really good and even in the small size it was a lot! Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back again!

Kris S.

Yelp
World Cup approaches plan to spend Summer 2022 at the Biergarten. I won't be here then but if I was you would find me here often! Great food amazing beer.

Melissa K.

Yelp
A great place to meet friends for a cheap drink. It seems to be very popular for deaf people and I figured it's cheaper to purchase massive glasses of beer and plenty of lights for people to see hand signs. I really like their fruit beer so ask the bartender if you're looking for something light and fruity. But food is ok ok. If you're really buzzed or drunk, maybe grab some carbs - they'll do you good before bed.

Carolyn P.

Yelp
After a long day of walking around DC, we plopped down at the bar and ordered some enormous beers (1 Liters) and sausages. Just what we needed! The staff was attentive and friendly. It was pretty busy but we never felt ignored. There was good music playing, a couple of TVs, and a good selection of drinks (drafts, spirits, etc). Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Jane P.

Yelp
This is a cute place to hang out with your friends on a Friday night. It has an open area where they have tables throughout the place. On a nice cool night it is perfect to enjoy your beer and this place is perfect for a large group of people to hang out together. Also, they have grapefruit beer so I will be happy here all night:)

Jenny P.

Yelp
Cute space with cute bartender! I LOVE their spiked Arnold Palmer. At first, the price seems a bit steep ($12 for a drink) BUT they serve it in a stein. Wow. Need to go back to pregame here! Their food looks amazing too, I've had the soft pretzel - def worth the calories.

Flo S.

Yelp
Visited: Friday, July 4th Viewed: World Cup - Germany vs. France What an awesome place and when the weather is beautiful, its even better!! My friends had gotten here 1 hour before the World Cup game and got a picnic table outside upstairs. TV Wish the TVs were a little bigger, but hey I'm just happy to have a great place to watch the World Cup game and amongst the Germans. Service Of course it was busy, so the server came whenever he could and actually had to put a hold on kitchen orders due to the number of people ordering food. He was pretty fast serving those beers to my friends and me with a pitcher of water. . Beer My friends drank a # of beers that day (two of them drank a gallon each of beer as they were having a contest, but over a 4 hour period) . I can't even remember the beer names, sorry! I tasted my friend's lite one and it was pretty good. Food (a little pricey): -Organic Chicken breast, sauerkraut and potato pancake - pretty good -Other items my friends tried that they enjoyed: Pork shank and three sausage platter Ambiance Great outdoor place to be when there's a World Cup game going on! Friendly staff, patrons etc. Congrats to Germany for winning against France, let's see how they do on Sunday:)

Ruth C.

Yelp
Eyeballed the screens visible from the garden and the yet-unlit twinkle lights before sundown. Service was attentive until the first order was placed, at which point they diverted their attentions despite our prime location by the pick-up window. After sifting through the beer list ordered from light to dark, I settled on a bottle of Julius Echter hef that fulfilled their tasting notes respectably. After nibbling off Mike and Mic's plates, I opted to invest in some sobriety calories of my own. Laugenbrezel were okay with cheese and boring mustard. Fries were pleasantly on the crispy side and went fine with the curry ketchup. The accompanying "Ham"burger looked like decent bar grub, but that could be my love for fried eggs talking. I got a single weisswurst platter and plodded through it with regret. Sausage was bordering on bland-- no juiciness or meaty bursts of flavor. Ditto the sauerkraut, despite visible flecks of interspersed pork that had been boiled to death. Dinner roll was still chilled from the fridge, from where it had undoubtedly been stashed after acquired from a generic grocery brand carb aisle. Potato cake lacked an appealing texture, with a doughy consistency that would've benefited even from an outer crust. The mustard made the platter tolerable, despite being boring in flavor itself. Here's a place I'd get drinkity drunk, but I'm hesitant to explore their menu further.

Maddy E.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a glass of wine after a long day or to start off the weekend. Had a great time here and enjoyed the fun drink options they had for people with all kinds of taste!

Tim C.

Yelp
I'm from Germany! Great place. German flags, Football, German size beer jar. Nice people and great vibe if you like it loud, blond and German. All the beers are actual German beers. and the price is good. 1/2 liter $8 or 1L for $15 Just wished they have actual Germans working here.

Leelé G.

Yelp
I just realized that I never had a glass of beer every time I step in this place and I've been there like 20 times. I seriously need to work on that. But instead of beers, I'd normally get their tequila shots and that never failed me, especially getting shots from one of my fav bartenders in the back bar that make the customers' experience a fun one. Very spacious for people to mingle & roam in the patio area and best part of this place is that it'll always be warm during the coldest winter DC can ever experience. Good seatings. Good selection of drinks. Definitely a good place to check out on H street.

Stewart W.

Yelp
Not sure if I caught this place on a bad day. In the past, this was a go to spot. Today (a Saturday)? They were at about 5% capacity and MOST IMPORTANTLY.... THE F'ING BEER WAS WARM.

Chris L.

Yelp
This narrow slice of Bavaria tucked away on H Street offers a dozen German drafts and plenty of hokey beer-hall accordion music ("ein Prosit, ein Prosit .."). Narrow little dive bar in front, a restaurant upstairs and a huge garden out back for fine weather. Alas I visited in a cold snap so sat at the bar. Happy hour is 4-7 with exactly two beers for cheap, perfectly respectable ones too, far better than so many District bars that only discount swill. Of course I'll be anal and post the full list :) Gaffel Koelsh, Spaten Lager and Optimator Doppelbock, Franziskaner Hefeweizen, Warsteiner light and dark, Koenig Ludwig Weissbier, Hofbrauhaus original, Koestritzer dark, Paulaner Pils and Hefeweizen, plus a seasonal dark Weissbier. $7.27 exactly for a half liter before tax, idk why the odd price. Those little pretzel rolls arrived instantly yet lukewarm and shriveled. Horseradish-pumped mustard demanded respect and got it! A few slices of cheese came along for the ride, yum. Vegetarian rating: 2 stars, one for each choice: vegetable spaetzle and a fancy grilled cheese with tomato. But those noodles sound Mexican, lotsa corn, beans and red onions. Oh yeah there's fries and salad of course. Will absolutely have to come back in good weather to try the food and garden.

Yelp
Horrible experience. Staff was rude and manager probably could care less. All I really wanted was an apology for a delay in service but staff took our displeasure personally and responded negatively. Manager tried to bribe us rather than apologizing. No integrity and bland food. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Wow, this place is really great. Non-pushy staff (so you can take your time). Enjoy your food and beer. It was a hot evening so we had the grapefruit beer - holy moley that could get dangerous. We had a party of three and we all tried something different. The sausages were cooked perf Carly with just the right amount of sauerkraut- I had Wiener schnitzel and it was spot on with red cabbage which was just like what you get in Cologne. The neighborhood is up and coming and the later in the evening the 'busyness' picks up. Staff is super friendly - definitely give this a shot.

Yelp
This is a great place to come with a large group - they are very accomodating and will set aside tables and provide a server without requiring a minimum spend which is great. For normal nights out it is good for a relaxed evening, especially if there is a game on. It always has a nice vibe, and you can bring your dog. Four stars because the food is servicable but not fantastic. Steins of beer tend to make up for that though.

Yelp
Omg this place was really disappointing. This review is strictly focused on the food I ordered. I came today with some friends for a happy hour get together. I ordered the wings expecting them to be good. They weren't. I was told that the wings are naked with dipping sauce on the side. The wings were sooooo bland I immediately sent them back to have old bay seasoning added to them. It wasn't until after I took them home I saw that they were completely raw on the inside. Disgusting and I wish I could get my $7 back.

Yelp
This place is fun! We went to watch a 2016 Euro Cup soccer game, Germany vs. Italy. The place was packed with tons of Germany fans!! The beer garden had plenty of seats & tables & tv's (of course all the seats were filled + more) and the German beer selection was great! The best part was that the crowd (at least outside by us) was really into the game, and not just there to drink! Now for the not so greats: 1) The price 2) The service 3) We ordered food and never got it. Even after following up with our server. He instead just disappeared. So if you're looking for a fun bar, or a good place to watch Germany kick some football butt - this it it! If you're looking for a decent dining experience, not so much.

Yelp
I have been to many Biergartens around the country and the and Europe - and the atmosphere they have created here is amazing. There is outdoor and rooftop seating with Premier League playing (plus). Fantastic German beer selections, more so than most places. I highly recommend Biergarten Haus in DC!
