The Best Break-Up Spots In Philly This Summer

"Eventually, they'll have to pick a new place to live. Why not start by scanning the neighborhoods atop one of Philly’s burgundy tour buses? The tour guide's microphone will probably drown out the embarrassing bits and at least you would’ve taken one last trip together. Since there’s a 100% chance that you’ll stop at Reading Terminal Market, comfort dishes like roast pork sandwiches, stuffed pretzels, and creamy clam chowder await their sorrow. Plus, there’s always an old guy out front singing love songs, if they need to publicly sob and let it out.  " - candis mclean

We had an incredible experience taking the tour! A colleague of mine and I were in town for a quick conference, so this tour was a fantastic way to see a bulk of the city in a short amount of time. Our tour guide Zane was hilarious and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the city and architecture. He recommended two restaurants that we ended up going to and loving. The tour allowed us to get off at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and run the Rocky steps, as well as get pictures of the Washington Monument. We were there in October, so our tour was at dusk, so the city was basked in light. The added a whole other layer that I loved! We sat in the top deck, which is the only way to go! (Bring a coat if it's fall or winter!) If I get the chance to come back to Philly, I will do this tour again! I learned so much, and the tour was one of my favorite memories from the trip!

Our family had such a wonderful time on the Big Bus Holiday Light Tour! It’s family-friendly, festive, and full of beautiful holiday lights. We loved that we could hop off at certain stops to explore. It made the tour feel more interactive and gave us a chance to enjoy the decorations up close. The holiday trivia games were a big hit too! Fun, educational, and perfect for keeping both kids and adults entertained. Overall, it was a great holiday outing for the whole family. Highly recommend!

Nice tour. Lot of places to see and learn about. The tour guide/ bus driver are really knowledgeable and they also put a funny twist comments that makes the ride memorable. We got a one day pass, which is amazing since you can hop on and off multiple bus operators in the city. Just be careful of tree branches if you go up on the upper deck of the bus, they may treat you with a bad welcome :) The driver/tour guide will warn you about that too, so listen to them, and enjoy the ride in Philly.

Had the pleasure of touring Philadelphia using Big Bus Tours, and it was absolutely amazing. The driver and the tour guide did a great job communicating stops with riders, and had a lot of information to give when sight seeing. . . Definitely recommend starting early so you can make multiple stops and have plenty of time at each location. Busses run every 15 minutes, organizing your time and stops is made easy. My favorite stop was terminal market, followed by the art museum. We are new to Philadelphia, so this was a great way to seeing the city! Look forward to booking again and brining my family and friends when they come to visit!

So glad that we did the City Bus tour in Philadelphia. We had the best guide, Zane, and a great driver, Manuel. We did the first full tour of the day to get the lay of the land of the city. We did not do the hop on and off though since it can be hard to time pickups.

We had a great time on the big bus tour, from beginning to end. David picked us up on time from our hotel in the small shuttle bus, he was fantastic! He went above and beyond answering the million questions we had on the way to 6th and Market. He was super friendly and very personable. The tour itself was amazing, it hit all the main sights to see and the guides were very knowledgeable and quite entertaining! The bus drivers also need commended, super skilled in what they do! They maneuvered that giant bus like it was the size of a Prius! Our only complaint was it was a little chilly but dealing with the cold was totally worth it to sit up top! We will be coming back to do this again in a warmer month and would love to do the night tour!

I highly recommend the Philadelphia Holiday trolley tour. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The tour provided a scenic overview of the city, featuring several holiday-themed streets. Each stop was visually appealing and engaging. The staff was exceptionally friendly, professional, and added to the overall enjoyment of the tour.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would. We did both the day and night tours and loved them. And what really stood out is the customer service. We were picked up and dropped off right at our hotel. I left a bag of purchases on the bus and the company sent our lovely van driver Darrell to the hotel to bring it back. Who does that these days? Tremendous fun. Highly recommend.
