Big Dave's Cheesesteaks

First time visiting- lovely experience all around! Greeted by Shinesha, she was very helpful with the menu. Very generous portions for the price which is reasonable. Excellent customer service; do visit the Morrow location and enjoy!

This was our First time at this location. I love the ability to order online. It was very easy. They are very pricey! Food is decent. The Philly fries were $9, they were very dry. They just throw all the toppings on top, No cheese within. The meat was season which is really good. The cheese steaks are good. The egg rolls are very small for $5 each. Tasted a little salty. The banana pudding has too much whipped cream. It's good but not worth $5 for the portion. I would go back if in the area but no rush. Customers Service was great, I was greeted as so as I walked in.

This has easily became one of my favorite places to come to on the south side. The service is impeccable each time and the food is GREAT each time! LeLe the manager on duty went above and beyond to make sure me and my family was taken care of in a timely manner and she brought the good energy! Parking: it's a little limited but I have never had a problem with finding a spot even on a busy Friday evening. Food: Don't be deterred by the prices because they do not skimp on the portions! Dining: this location has a dining room and it's very well kept. Music selection is top tier as well!

The food was well worth the stop on our way home from Florida. We ordered the cheese steaks and beef egg rolls. Can't wait until I'm in Atlanta to try this spot again. The only part of my visit that could use improvement was the customer service but, that's a small training issue that be corrected. Congratulations on your success!

I’ve been going to big Dave’s for years. I use to go to the location in downtown Atlanta for a while until they got one in Forest Park. I went in today and ordered a Philly, & when I got home and ate it, there was like a small amount of wood pieces in my Philly. I noticed I was swallowing something hard that was stuck in my throat. Re: I spoke to the gm and was able to get my order remade. I was informed it could have been a stem from a pepper. Thank you!

My cheesesteaks were overcooked to the point the beef was crunchy and there was hardly any cheese on them for $50.20. (Not Happy) Highly disappointed this time and I drove 30 minutes to get them after work. Consistency is key. I guess it’s time to try the other cheesesteak establishment since this one is starting to go down.🙁

Frist time visiting Big Dave's the service was amazing. I didn't know what to order. My only complaint was I wish my sandwich had more of everything, but the meat lots of meat lite on the cheese

Horrible first experience. Paid $14.56 for a chicken cheesesteak on a hot dog bun!?! Couldn't get refund at truck. It also said it came with fries. Asked about them worker said he didn't charge me for them. Save yourself from the hype!

I've heard about this franchise via instagram and by following the owner and his wife (owner of slutty vegan) so I knew I had to try this while visiting ATL. Theres nothing necessarily fancy about the actual establishment but the women I observed at the counter and on the grill were very nice and personable. BUT THE FOOD!! The food was a 10/10!! I went with the most popular item; Daves Way Cheesesteak and two egg-rolls... the chicken and salmon. SERIOUSLY!!! Food tasted delicious. Maybe the best cheesesteak I've ever had! Highly recommend anyone to stop by and try it. I heard they also just opened another restaurant in the Mercedes Stadium so you have options.

I've been to Big Dave's Cheesesteaks when they were located Downtown and had an amazing experience. I came to the Forest Park location and the experience was no different. Amazing customer service and the food was great. The sweet peppers are the best part for me. Will definetly be back to try other items.

Seeing that cheesesteak and egg roll I was ready to dig in. That cheesesteak looked crazy and fat. This was my first time so I had to get the Dave's way beef cheesesteak and salmon egg roll. It was meaty and cheesy. It was glorious. But after a few bites it felt so heavy and one note. I didn't know to add toppings or not because I felt his way was intended to be the way it comes and the best it had to offer. Maybe that's my fault. The salmon egg roll was kind of pricey for what you're getting. It was a lot of cheese and a small piece of salmon. It was fried to perfection. Hot in the middle and nice and crispy on the outside. Service is great, the team was having a great time and the person who took our order was friendly. I believe it's worth trying if you enjoy cheesesteaks but if you on a diet or concerned for your health this ain't the one. Sometimes good things aren't good for you.

I have been craving a Philly and have wanted to come here for some time. Black owned and operated restaurant. Went to the Forest Park location (thought the only location was downtown). The service is kind of slow. Nonetheless, the food was exactly what I thought it was going to be, great tasting and flavorful! Need a Philly? Stop through asap!

What can I say . I'm going to say this He has the best egg rolls in the city . Listen they are fresh and they are decent sized and not made cheap . I didn't have the cheesesteak this time but I had the egg roll combo and the buffalo and steak on are extremely good and he does a cheese streak down the middle so it makes my back that not big get excited . I also had the banana pudding and for the price it's decent but it needs more pudding than whip because it's takes the reason for having banana pudding away . Otherwise staff decent , store pretty clean . Outdoor seating and it's dope check them out .

This my second time the chicken Philly was good they forgot my jalapeños. I tried banana pudding I wouldn't mind price if it was from scratch. Instant made n way yo much whip in middle n on top is over kill for me. I also tried salmon Philly over the holiday and it was good. Next time I come let me try the egg rolls see how they taste .

Big Dave's Cheesesteak was okay. It's NOT something you should eat often if you care for your health. I could see myself visiting this restaurant maybe 4-5 times a year... maximum. The service was fairly quick. The employees were well mannered. The parking is small. I'm guessing that anyone who doesn't care what kind of food that they put in their body would probably enjoy eating here regularly.

I used to frequent the original location in the gas station a few years back. I was excited that there is a location close to my rental property. For one, I was pretty salty when I realized they changed the menu and don't serve wings anymore ( The Mardi Gras wings were the best I ever had!) and the cheesesteak was just mid. No flavor but the bread was good and soft. It tastes nothing like I remember and I am not going to bother going back. I'm super sad though... because I absolutely LOVED it.

The food was great and was great as well. Hey Big Dave CLEAN Your dog gone windows. That can mean a lot to your customers.

Love how Big Dave's is popping up all over the city! Unfortunately the forest park location didn't have the infamous egg rolls - at least not via Uber Eats! Next time I'll order in person which may allow more customization to my sandwich Overall tasty!

The food, the food, the food! Got a steak Philly with fries and it was so DELICIOUS!! A little annoyed because the online menu said they had burgers and a couple of things other than philly's so my son didn't get to eat. The drink machine was out of every drink except for lemonade.. which was not the best! The ambiance was mediocre at best. The food was worth it all in all.

For years, I have enjoyed Big Dave's signature cheesesteak and recently tried his beef egg rolls. They were delicious and wanted to give this location a try. Please be aware this location HAS LIMITED parking. The lot is extremely small and it doesn't take long for it to fill up. I parked in the business adjacent to the restaurant. I would also order my food in advance using the app or online ordering option. Failure to doing so, can cause your wait time to be longer than expected. This spot like many of the other locations is a take out joint. The added exception is the outside patio that gives customers the option to eat their food outside. This comes in handy on a day when the weather is nice. The quality of the food was great and their salmon egg rolls are amazing. I like that the app gives me an option of what time to pick up my food. That way there's an unlikely chance your food will be cold. One last thing please check your order when they give it to you. My order was missing my bottled water that I paid for & I had to go back and get it. Staff was helpful but I had to make sure I double checked my order. My tip is to either order in advance so that your wait time is short. I deducted a star because of the limited parking situation.

Cheesesteak was ok. The banana pudding wasn't. 5.00 no bananas barely cookies in it. The picture on the online menu shows bananas.

I will start by saying...I will never do this again. I ordered a veggie cheesesteak and added extra mushrooms. As you can see from the pic, there is not a single mushroom on this entire sandwich. I basically got a bell pepper, onion and cheese sub. It's just...blah. I don't even want it anymore but I'm trying to eat it because I spent $20 for nothing.

Husband ordered salmon cheesesteak with toppings he likes and enjoyed. I ordered a regular cheesesteak with extra meat. Was lacking on the extra meat which costs extra. Used to order from the downtown location before it closed which was a lot better at fulfilling orders as requested. May give this location another try. But perhaps will try and pickup so I can examine food before it leaves shop. Overall solid flavor and cheesesteak for the Atlanta area. Would recommend.

This location is good as well. I have no complaints. I've seen a review that stated the size is misleading. I wouldn't say that it's misleading. I'd say it's changed from the original location that was further north at the shell gas station. When the location opened up downtown off of Forsyth. Around the time of the introduction to chicken and salmon. That's when I first noticed two sizes. If you want to bigger size you have to specify that. There is a smaller size, which I could appreciate because there use to be a time when I would get something to eat at Big Dave's and the statement was made "I wish they had a smaller size". And now they do. And I've been told when buying a second sandwich that the smaller size is perfect for them. Maybe the smaller size could be promoted more to say we have a mini or we have a giant. But that's too much copying off Jersey Mikes. So, it's a matter of the customer being aware that you have to choose which size you want. And the cost went up everywhere in my opinion, so it's a matter of adjusting. When it comes to the mom & pop spots that are growing to be a franchise or just still one location. I know of a place charging $20 for 15 wings that comes with no drink, no fries. I think that's insane. But I'm noticing the cost is just increasing. Inflation is real. And I know coming here or anywhere else including barbers. I just have to get use to paying more. And it is what it is at this point. It's not changing. Vendors go up. Cost goes up for the customer. But the ambiance is good here. The food is good here. And the staff is nice. And it's clean. I like it. Minus the parking seems to always be weird at every location I've been to.

Taste's good, but the size of the sandwiches does not justify the price. The pictures are clearly misleading.

All I can say is 6 regular size cheese steak egg rolls for $32.34. No thank you. We don't mind spending money but that was terrible. The egg rolls were good but we will not return.

These Cheesesteaks are yummy...overpriced, but yummy all the same. One thing, however, that was not yummy was the salmon eggroll. It tasted too fishy and not fresh. The Cheesesteak eggroll was good though

The Philly was WAY WAY too salty it's like they didn't even care to have customers return or not! Will NEVER EVER EVER come back!

Food was definitely insane. So good. Danielle knows how to throw down. Number 1 was fire. Then she walked over and gave us a couple of free salmon egg rolls and oh my wow. 10/10 service to go with the already good food. Even the fries was top notch. Can't wait to bring my wife here.

So, let me start that the hype for Big Dave's was a long 3 months. They finally opened, was expecting long lines out the door. Like his girlfriend, who is owner of Slutty Vegan.But the restaurant was half full. The staff was too busy chatting with each other and on their cell phones. Placed our order and waited patiently for 15 minutes. Even though, there was about 10 people working behind the counter. We got our order and went home. The cheesesteaks were unseasoned and not worth the hype. Definitely, would not cut it in Philly. The French fries are frozen. What is so hard to cut fresh potatoes and fry them. But, these big corporations take the real out of everything. I am a foodie, and can tell the difference between the two. I will give them another try, and keep an open mind.

Believe this place is not a cheese steak. With frozen fries and cheese less salmon Philly with corn. Corn? You don't smell flavors when you pull up. For $40, I thought I would enjoy this Philly. But to be honest it's not worth the hype.

I will never stop by this restaurant again. It took forever to receive my food and then I was given a dry tasteless Philly steak sandwich with no cheese at all. The customer service sucks for the most part. I don't see what all the hype about. The fries was bland.

Amazing, but egg rolls are not as good as Big Daves in Atlanta. The service is very personal and nice.

Good spot to grab food on the go. They do get busy at times but it is worth it. I got the chicken cheesesteak and it was great. I've been only once so far so I can't speak on consistency. It is not a sit down spot so I'll probably order on a food delivery app in the future.

Unfortunately as excited as I was I ended up being disappointed. The staff was definitely courteous and the business visually was clean. I feel the problem was the staff was a bit more engaged with each other than with customers and that's where the experience went wrong. Let me be clear there is nothing wrong with having fun. It's much needed to get through the work day at times. However, I noticed that mistakes were being made with regards to orders. I even witnessed a call from a customer whom had already come and gone complaining that their order was wrong and they had to commute a far distance to return for it to be corrected. Needless, to say I ended up suffering the same fate and by the time it was noticed the business was closed. My order was wrong. I think they swapped my order with someone else's. The cashier processed the order correctly as it was stated on my receipt. However, considering what I just paid and the distance I drove for the food I was very disappointed. This is where things went left instead of right. The staff was distracted in conversation and not paying attention to the point they were in a huddle in the kitchen with their backs turned to the counters most of the visit chatting and laughing. They were not paying attention to the orders they pulled and rushed to bag so that they could return to the chatter. So busy talking that there were orders sitting that needed to be called that they were overlooking as well as mine. The salmon and buffalo chicken egg rolls were fantastic and saved me from hunger. My cheesesteak was not right at all so I can't really provide any feedback about it. Overall friendly but distracted staff equals mistakes that can easily by avoided by attention to details which saves clients time and money.

Not enough MEAT like you get in Philly plus the six inch size is a cheesesteak insult. You can't get a 6 inch in Philly

Sandwich is not worth the price . No taste and definitely does not taste like a Philly cheesesteak more like a gas station sandwich for $17

I have an issue with workers having personal conversations while working and loud enough for me to hear. I ordered the chicken cheesesteak combo. It was seasoned well but to cheesy for my taste. The fries were okay.

Drove an hour after I saw this on AtlantaEats. 100% worth the ride. It's a perfect Philly cheesesteak! Filled my PA/NJ cravings! The egg rolls were delicious, recommended the salmon (yes salmon!) excellent stuff! Excellent staff!

after spending $50 on lunch. we wanted to get 1 hot sauce. they said it would be $1 extra..wtf and they don't take cash. the ice machine wasn't working either. the girl on the register was not friendly..there are so many cheesesteak places to choose from that i would suggest over this location.
