Watch the Olympics at Atlanta’s Best Sports Bars

"The owners of Bantam Pub opened this Old Fourth Ward sports bar in 2022, and not only are wings, burgers, and pulled pork poutine on the menu, but so are bowls of elk stew, duck fat fries, and buffalo hot dogs. This is where a neighborhood sports bar meets hunting lodge vibes, complete with plenty of TVs throughout the dining room tuned into all manner of sports." - Eater Staff

The 10 Best Sports Bars In Atlanta

"It's all about the options at this new Old Fourth Ward sports bar. You can either sit in the elevated viewing area, at one of the high-top tables near the dartboards, around the horseshoe-shaped bar, or out on the covered patio. Once you get to your chair, you’ll have five flavors of good-sized wings to pick from: mild, hot, teriyaki, barbecue, and lemon pepper. We’ll save you decision-making time. The latter soaks best in Big Game’s crispy-but-not-too-hard wing skin." - juli horsford, nina reeder, demarco williams

Great ambiance and had a great time watching the NCAA finals. Really like the location and access to other spots near the area. Enjoy! Wings and beer kind of spot

Should be called Big Lame. A sports bar that can't change their TVs. It was on college softball, and they couldn't change it to ESPN to watch the friggin NBA playoffs. The patron next to me said their TV situation is F'ed. I asked the waitress how long this has been going on, and she said since December 2024! Inexcusable to be a sports bar and not be able to show an NBA game on ESPN. Also the Ambience is off, it is way too bright in there on evening. I went for burger week, and actually the burger was phenomenal. Tasted like a good quality Chili cheese burger. Drinks were just fine but a little pricey. Tried calling them on a Thursday multiple times to see when their Kitchen closed, no one would pick up. Bottom line: Food is pretty good, ambience is way off, a sports bar that can't change their TVs and way too bright inside. I think this place would be awesome with better management. Great concept and solid food, just don't depend on Big Lame to show your game.

Great atmosphere and excellent service. Big game is located in an eclectic area that caters to all types of social groups. I was able to attend during a game watch party with some college alumni friends. The server was amazingly attentive and professional. The food was good and affordable. There's no cost garage parking next to the restaurant.

Google
We have walked and driven past Big Game so many times, and FINALLY stopped by for a visit. The beers were cold, the games were playing and the food was GOOD. Between a party of four, we ordered the deviled eggs, spinach artichoke dip (not pictured), bison burger (not pictured), the elk stew, wings, steak and a side of rosemary duck fat fries (not pictured). Goodness, all of it was amazing. We could not have been happier with the food. Great for a night out or casual date. Be prepared to spend money. The quality matches the price tag. Overall a great experience, and we will definitely be back.

Google
Awsome place to watch the game or fight went here for ufc 303 had an amazing time food was awsome and reasonable priced the Buffalo dip is awsome! And the brisket sandwich omg!

Google
Came here and had a solid meal. Had the bison burger & mac and cheese. Both were really good. Amazing flavor on the bison burger. The breadcrumbs on the mac are good, but they could bake it longer to give it more of a crust. The menu is decently long, so I'll return. The space is big, and parking is on the street or in the adjacent parking deck.

Google
What a find! This place is spectacular. Very aesthetically pleasing. Great menu I can’t wait to try the wild game dishes. I will definitely return and bring clients. Service was spectacular.

Google
I would first like to thank the ownership for having a place to reserve so fans of my team can watch together. The venue is well set up for that - if I were to have one criticism to ding them a star for it would be that the TVs are a little on the small side by today's standards. The TVs against the wall could stand to be upped in size a bit. Having said that, there are a decent number of TVs to watch. The food I ordered was also excellent. The buffalo chicken with heaps of blue cheese easily earns them 5 stars in this category. The shoe string fries fried in duck fat were a thing to behold for sure!! My only criticism there were beers delivered in plastic. A $7 draft watched during a game really needs to be in glass - it's kind of an insult to a craft brew to be served in plastic and it does not help to create unnecessary trash. In the end and in the days of rising prices at restaurants, I think the food/drink was reasonable value for money. What worked for me this time was popping in to watch a single game - it was much better to leave the cost of Sling Orange in the form of business for them and it was worth traveling an hour to get there. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
This was the first time we had been here, first and foremost the atmosphere was outstanding. Very laid back and chill, the food was out of this world the mix between wild game and non game was nice to see and the flavor of the burger I had was amazing, our waiter was Patrick and he was very friendly and on top of his game, guy seriously needs a raise. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something new and different this is one place to check out. GO BILLS

Yelp
Service super slow. Only received 1 beer in an hours time. Got to the bar in the first Quarter didn't receive my food until the 4th Quarter. I'll never waste my time or spend another dollar in this place. Very frustrating. Mind you it was a Thursday night. Took them 30 min to find the game on Prime. Save yourself go somewhere else

Yelp
Yet another coupon book find!!! This place was really good. It wasn't crowded at all. The inside is really big. They have old school video games and funny signs. Server was multitasking but still did a great job. Ordered two burgers and a squash salad. Burgers were great but I would not get the squash salad again. The taste was nice but the texture was off. I wouldn't mind trying their brunch.

Yelp
Maybe we just went on an off night but we were throughly disappointed with our meal. We both got the bison burger with fries. Spinach dip was the appetizer. The dip was just bland. When the burgers were brought out, the fries were cold. So, we had to ask for a new batch. When those arrived, they were super salty. We didn't bother with sending them back because we felt bad for the waitress. It seemed like she was working alone so we didn't want to keep running her back and forth. Since the fries were at least hot, we tried to shake the excess salt off as much as we could and eat them quickly! The burger was good. It came out hot. I didn't eat too much of my burger because the salty fries pretty much ruined my appetite With that being said, the ambiance was nice. I feel like it's probably a great place for drinks. We didn't take before pics but this is what was left over.

Yelp
Atmosphere: Big Game is a spacious restaurant/sports bar in Old Fourth Ward, but it was somewhat empty when we went on a Friday night. The restaurant itself had a lot of seating and TVs, and the bar was comfortable to sit at. Service: We ordered our meal to-go with a bartender, but it took a very long time for our food to come out. We received our food after around 25-30 minutes, which we thought was too long for a basic salad. Our food probably wasn't being made until 20 minutes after we ordered, even though there weren't many people there. Food: We ordered a Classic Wedge Salad. We weren't expecting a fancy salad since we were just looking for a fresh bite. However, we were a bit let down with our meal. Maybe this wasn't communicated well, but we requested the cheese to be put on the side of our salad. From past experience, especially when it comes to to-go salads, dressing would usually be put on the side, but in our case, the bleu cheese crumble and dressing were both smothered on top of the salad and put in serving containers on the side. This made the salad pretty difficult to eat, as we were unable to adjust the amount of cheese and dressing on our dish. The cheese crumble and dressing were pretty overbearing, and needless to say, we didn't even touch the extra side servings of the cheese. Otherwise, the lettuce and bacon were fine but not memorable. Overall: Between the long wait and the disappointing simple salad, we would have to give Big Game a 2-star rating. Although our experience this time was not great, we hope that in the future, we get a chance to try some of their signature dishes or drinks in order to get a more accurate representation of their dining experience. However, for now, it is worth noting that our salad from Big Game wasn't great.

Yelp
I came to Big Game to watch the UFC fights with some friends and had a pretty good time! It's definitely a nicer and more welcoming atmosphere than a lot of sports bars I've peeped, and they seem to actually care about having good and interesting food on the menu, which is definitely a departure from a lot of sports bars. One of our party enjoyed their nachos, and those of us who got the hot wings were impressed--they were nice and meaty, and actually spicy with ample flavor. I also got the rosemary duck fat fries--couldn't really taste the rosemary, but I always love duck fat fries and these were no exception. Service was great, even though it was a Saturday night it seemed like there was only one server holding down the whole non-bar area. She did a great job despite that and we never felt forgotten. I can't quite tell what vibe they're going for here; some of the menu items feel really upscale, and it seems from the varied game meats and interesting menu items that they're trying to go for a farm-to-table, food focused vibe. On the other hand, the menus are on stained crinkled paper that seems like they photocopied them, and some of the food comes out in green plastic baskets like you're at more of a divey sports bar. I'm a fan of both types of places, but it's a little confusing here what they're trying to portray. That being said, the food was great and I could definitely see myself coming back to try more stuff on the menu.

Yelp
Came here for the Jags wild card playoff game. It was slammed, barely an empty seat in the house. I told the bar tenders I'm sorry you're slammed, to which he said I love it! Such a great attitude to have and it's rare to find that these days. None of the bar tenders looked overwhelmed or upset, they were just working hard. I've only been here a few times for cocktails, but am dying to try the menu. I love the concept of a wild game restaurant. It's 100% a sports bar, so many TVs! Not a spot in the place where you didn't have a good view of a TV. What would have been nice if they played the game audio. Instead they played loudly 2000's pop punk. Believe they played Blink 182s Take off your pant and jacket album. I've never heard this much yellow card, Blink 182, Good Charlotte ect. at a restaurant. I dug it, but it got old after an hour. Can't wait to come back and try the menu, I'm sure they play game audio for home teams, but this was the only thing on and the reason most people were there.

Yelp
We had stopped in three times before and the food was ok. They changed the menu and the burger was amazing! It's 10$ with fries. The duck fat fries were good. My girlfriend had the pork quesadilla and loved it. It has always had tons of TVs and it's cozy inside. This will be our new go to place because it's up the street from us. Sorry, no photos. The waitress was nice and she said they have a new chef. I will be back to try more.

C G.

Yelp
The food is great! Fries were crispy and delicious. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was huge. The Bloody Mary had just the right amount of spice. Just be aware, this place is LOUD when a game is on. They crank the audio so high that you have to yell at the person sitting next to you. Just not my vibe so I probably won't be back.

Yelp
Not a huge fan of this place, it's like sports bar meets fine dining with a twist of venison. The area is nice, the seating is convenient and there are big TVs everyone for your game viewing pleasure, but the ambiance isn't really my style. It's hard to place. The food was unique in that it's all game meat inspired. Antelope, venison, duck, etc. I should have gone with something safer like duck but I wanted to be adventurous and try antelope stew but I deeply regretted it. The meat very much tastes gamely and has a bitter after taste. I'd say for the eater with more delicate palates, go for something more neutral like duck fries and venison burger. Overall interesting experience, don't regret coming here to check it out but probably won't be back.

Yelp
Meatloaf sandwich was absolutely incredible, probably best pub meal I've had. Good solid comfort food with upscale flavors - Wagyu beef, incredible sauce, cheese, and this broccoli garnish that works really well. Duck fat fries on the side. Yum! Nachos were solid as well. Interior vibe is really interesting - think upscale big game lodge crossed with a sports bar. Live edge oak tables, comfy lodge chairs, but TVs all over. Good music, full bar, friendly staff. Biggest complaint is my Guinness poor (served in a Guinness glass no less) was quite shite without the requisite 90 second pause that makes a great poor. And yeah, they probably have a couple too many tables and the chairs could be straightened a bit. But this was super delicious, fun atmosphere, and very well priced. Great addition to the Atlanta scene.

Yelp
I decided to check out this spot on a fairly warm and sunny day. The bar is the main focal point of the restaurant, with roughly 20 seats give or take. There is also lots of tables and chairs around in the main dining area. I love natural light so the large windows on 75% of the walls was a plus for me. There is also an outdoor patio seating area that I can see being packed in the spring and summer months. They were operating off of a limited food menu and did not have an established drink menu but the bartender (Leslie) said she could make me anything I wanted to drink as long as they had the ingredients. I ordered a Hibiscus Margarita that the bartender recommended, the Ballpark Hotdog, and I opted to try the Frog Legs since she said they didn't actually look like frog (I'm a very visual eater) and I wanted to try something new. Well, the verdict is in, and frog is absolutely NOT for Liselle (shakes head from side to side Undisputed Shannon style: Naaaah). It was tempura fried, but the texture of the actual meat was not for your girl. The Ballpark Hotdog was delicious as it was a Nathan's hotdog which is a fave of mine and the Hibiscus Margarita was also good, a bit tart but nothing a little simple syrup couldn't balance out. The service was good and Leslie was very friendly and conversational. The manager was also quite pleasant and I will definitely be back to try more of their food and drink offerings once available.

Yelp
A neat place to grab an brew and watch sports . They have some very interesting things on the menu and a good place to check out to try a variety of unique dishes. The bison burger was solid, cooked really well and had just the right amount of cheese . The deviled eggs were really good and the fries cooked in sucks oil was a interesting taste. Over all the service was good and prices were fair , the only warning I would say is stay away from is the "impossible" burger ... lacked flavor and texture. Parking is connected via a garage is a plus. ~FOODis£0¥€

Yelp
Beltline adjacent restaurant with great food and drinks! The menu: It's changed very recently (the pictures posted are old). It's more traditional bar fare now - think pork nachos, bison burger, fish and chips, meatloaf sandwich, chicken wings, etc. But, they've kept remnants of their fine dining heritage, and that means the food is elevated, but the price point is lower, best of both worlds. The space: Lots of seating, great setup for big groups. You can also grab a seat at the bar, and they have a nice shaded outdoor patio. This is the ideal spot to catch the next Atlanta United or Braves game or big fight night. The drinks: I don't know why I made this a separate category, but it's worth mentioning, they serve good drinks. There's a good selection of rotating drafts from local favorites. They were featuring the New Realm hazy and it was only $4/pint. They also have a full bar with good cocktails. For whatever reason, they're not crowded, so no wait time to get seated (at least until people figure out how good this place is)

Yelp
We came to watch March Madness games, and I was so impressed by the level of service provided despite how busy they were. For food, we had the chicken tenders and the chorizo nachos and both were really solid and came out quickly! Since the COVID pandemic, I have tried to have a lot of grace with and understanding for restaurant and bar staff given the circumstances, but the Patrick at Big Game was really on it in a way I haven't experienced in a while! They have so many TVs and some large projector screens as well, so it's a great place to watch sports. Highly recommend!

Finn J.

Yelp
My car was broken into in their garage. I've seen at least 6 cars with broken windows in their garage and they have little to no security. The place is decent but don't park your car in their garage. I spoke to an employee and they said it happens all the time.
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing vibes, and a great locations! I highly recommend the bison burger, it was unreal. My only complaint it the TVs are small, but this area desperately needed a sports bar, so it'll do!

Cass B.

Yelp
Good not great. It's a great atmosphere for drinking and watching sports! Bison burger is good. Brussel sprouts are bad. They are steamed NOT crispy and do not resemble the photo on their menu at all. Beware!

Yelp
My husband and I came in on a Saturday evening. There were a number of open tables and one of the employees told us to sit anywhere. We sat down, used the QR code to open the menu, and waited. And waited. And waited. No one came to our table, no one even offered us water. Finally, after about twenty minutes, we left and went to Bantam Pub across the street.

Josh M.

Yelp
Atlanta needs a good sports bar. TVs everywhere including bathrooms and friendly staff. Can't wait they are hoping to open by Christmas 2020

Yelp
Amazing! Awesome atmosphere, service, drinks, & food! The perfect place to watch a game or to grab lunch or dinner. We got the wings, duck fat fries, and deviled eggs. 10/10!

Jess W.

Yelp
So I live down the street and often go to Bantum for lunch with neighbors as we work from home. On this particular day service was really slow also we decided to walk across the street and try Big Game. Everything was amazing! We had 2 dogs with us and the patio was a great place for them to what what was going on. The waitress so prompt and service continued to be amazing thru the whole lunch. We each go the bison burger with duck fat French fries - so yummy! There are a lot of things I'm excited to try on the menu so we will definitely be going here more often as it was good food, amazing service and a very good value.

zoe d.

Yelp
Visited this place for the first time tonight. The taps tasted clean. Partner's biggest gripe is when bars don't clean the taps (you can taste a residue) so good job! He raved about the burger while I raved about the elk stew. The first batch of fries were rich in duck fat but fried to a mostly inedible crisp. The second batch were fresh but lacked duck fat flavor. Our suggestion is to cut thicker, fatter fries, that can fry longer in the duck fat without drying out. Great service, great food! Hoping to try dessert next time.

Kristina N.

Yelp
Big game changed their chicken tender and wing recipe and WOW, so freaking good! They got a new chef and it's worth checking out for any sports game or night out. 10/10 recommend for close to beltline great vibe place to eat/drink watch sports.

Janet D.

Yelp
My review has gone from a 5 to a 1 since they actually have customers now. There's never enough wait staff and the bartenders have horrible attitudes. We have had to ask numerous times for the sound to be turned on for Ga games and UFC, AND the sound quality is terrible for a sports bar. Shockingly, the bartenders who are in charge of the tvs know nothing about the games or matches they're showing. They don't know when they start or anything about them and when you ask for something to be turned on they get an attitude. I received attitude from the bartenders right down to the waitress. The owner REALLY needs to teach his people how to operate a sports bar in regard to handling the tvs and sound properly. Customers should not have to ask for things to be handled!!! Shockingly, one of the bartenders was obviously inebriated beyond belief. I later watched him get into his truck parked in front and drive off. He could barely find the key to put into the ignition! I was hoping this was going to be my neighborhood bar, but, disappointingly, it's definitely not.

Dirk L.

Yelp
It was our first visit and it didn't disappoint! We shared the Brussel sprouts and artichoke dip. Both were quite tasty. (If you're a vegetarian, you may not enjoy the porky deliciousness the sprouts are cooked in. But we did!). The bison burger was cooked to a perfect medium rare, just the way we ordered it, and was delicious! The fries were crispy and hot. Tony, the manager and his entire staff were attentive and made us eager to join them again for another delicious meal. SO many different dishes we're looking forward to trying. Can't wait!

Kelly D.

Yelp
Outstanding (and honestly just fun and unique) menu. It was a cool hangout spot and the staff were awesome. I've tried a lot of bars and restaurants by the beltline, but this has been my favorite one

Chris W.

Yelp
So mixed reviews of this restaurant/bar. I was there for a large birthday party, and was very impressed with the place. Everything was great until about 8pm when I went to the bar to order a salad and 2 beers for my friends and I. I waited 20 minutes as bartenders walked by and said nothing. I finally said "Could I get 2 Night on Ponce" beers as one walked by. He proceeded to chew me out about how they were short staffed, had to change the keg, etc. The appropriate response should have been "I'm sorry sir, we are short on staff. I'll help you as soon as I can." To be berated is unacceptable. I asked to close my tab and stated being yelled at is inappropriate. I then had the other bartender come over and tell me I was short with them all night. Uh, I had a $15 tab and was polite ordering the 1 round of beers I ordered. I then had an older gentleman come over and say I needed to leave. I'm incredibly disappointed as they have a great patio, a nice setup inside, and overall a great location. Being with a large group of friends, the conversation came to the idea that maybe they mistook me for someone else. Either way, you never should chew out a customer. Such great potential, but staff that is very poorly trained to treat the customer correctly. Very disappointing! Give it a try, but keep in mind they don't appreciate your business.
