Punny New Lakeview Cafe to Offer CBD in Everything - Eater Chicago

"One of Boystown’s longest-tenured gay bars is for sale during Pride month. A parcel of land is for sale on North Halsted Street that includes longtime bar Little Jim’s — which has been open since 1975 — and neighboring establishment Big Jim’s for a cool $7.5 million, Chicago magazine reports. They both currently remain open." - Daniel Gerzina

Just awful. The first week they opened was GREAT, but the next three times we went got worse and worse, and more and more expensive. They even stopped putting things on the burgers that were advertised in the menu like avocado and fried jalapenos. Margaritas used to be amazing and last time we got one in a mini martini glass that was just mix and undrinkable. Last time we went it was so offensive that we said something (politely) to the waiter. He refused to refund us for the drink (for which he also overcharged) and told us the owner had to cut costs. Worse food and higher prices EVERY time. DO NOT GO. I hope they close.

I was pretty lit when I was here, so I don't remember much, but I do remember the bartender was pretty cool. FOUR STARS!! All kidding aside, this is one of the more mellow spots in Boystown, if you just want to hear each other talk, and have some beers.

Non inclusive to flamboyant men of color, went their for pride and got completely ignored at the bar for more than 20 minutes, so I switched with my boyfriend (who is a butch white man) and he got served with in five minutes. If you are a flamboyant man of color do not go here. Almost ruined my pride...

I went to big Jims in Chicago on Halsted. I ordered a drink for a freind. Unfortionatly it was a little to bitter ( strong ) for us. Nick was a true gentleman and did not charge us for it, the fries were so incredible though, I can't wait to get down town again and say hi to Nick. He is a tender kind man. Customer for life. Their cheese curds are everything. They are $2 on Tuesday. Additionally they have friendly servers and it's a nice vibe generally. Quieter than the average place, which I like.

Nice place, nice people. Not a great wine selection like almost none. It's a good place to sit and talk. The food is not too bad either
