Stayed in the Colt Barn with a friend for Columbus Day weekend and had a wonderful time. Peaceful and picturesque; a perfect escape if you need to trade in city lights for Vermont nights. The dogs and cats on property are all super friendly and as animal lovers this added to the experience (say hi to Elvis, Cheesecake and the rest of the gang for me). If you're just visiting be sure to book the goat hangout and hit their store down the road, where you can pickup their delicious caramels, chocolate covered caramels and novelty gifts. Highly recommend a stay or visit to Big Picture Farm when you're in this lovely state.

My husband and I went on our honeymoon to Vermont. While there, we heard about Big Picture Farm and the the most wonderful hand made caramels in the world. Unfortunately we were no where near to buy them so... when we got home, I ordered these so called "Life Changing" caramels. Let me be another to say... OH MY GOSH - SETTLE DOWN TASTE BUDS!!! I was not prepared for the best thing EVER! I started out with the variety pack but now we order in bulk. Not only are their products scrumptious but they are animal welfare approved. No abuse whatsoever! Each goat has a name and are treated like family. Love love love good people. Speaking of good people- with every order, Louisa (owner) sends a hand written Thank You for ordering note. If we ever get back to Vermont, we definitely plan to visit the farm!!!

This farm is amazing. We had a reservation this morning for the goat experience, and it was incredible. One of their employees, Jessie, walked us around the property to visit their younger and older goats. Our first stop was to see the baby goats. We watched them get their morning milk, which they loved and afterwards spent quite a bit of time petting each and every one of them. Jessie was extremely knowledgeable, and knew each goat by name. We then went to visit the older goats. We sat and relaxed among them all. The goats were so friendly, and gentle. I would highly recommend visiting this farm. They also sell homemade caramel chews made from goat milk. Oh my god, they are phenomenal. Give this farm a try! It’s for everyone, even kids would have a blast.

I saw a program about this farm on local PBS station and really wanted to try their caramel candies. I just received their caramels in the mail. First, I thought they were a bit expensive. Almost $1 per candy but my goodness… they are so decadent. It’s like eating a piece of luxurious heavenly sweet goodness. The description that the owners have of these caramels is spot on. Tender, delicate, decadent, not overwhelmingly sweet with a hint of described flavors. Totally worth it and I wouldn’t share it with anyone! They are too good!

Very nice, we stayed in the large 9 br farm house, the home was clean, very comfortable, quiet and just a little rustic, but a great vaca home for the family reunion or friends weekend on the farm. The internet signal was pretty good, but our Verizon phones were lacking in service. One of our family members worked virtually for a little while, and had no problems. The goats, chickens, cats & dogs were very entertaining. The caramels are outstanding. The first week of June the weather was perfect. We had a blast, we would definitely do it again.

These are my favorite caramels in the world! I moved away from Vermont so I order myself a box during Christmas! And the customer service is supreme if you are ordering anything from their Farmstore. I accidentally wrote the wrong note in my gift order and they responded promptly and fixed it!

I have been buying corporate gifts from these guys for years and I've got to say, they are the best. Not only is their product unique, innovative and luxurious, but they consistently meet and exceed expectations for customer service: helping to put in printed gift messages and shipping on schedule each year. I'm hoping to get out to visit the farm one day, the photos look amazing and I'm sure the owners are as charming in person as they are via phone and email.

Beware! You probably will eat all of the caramels as soon as you open your bag. They are just that wonderful!! Not only have I devoured these myself, but everyone I send them to agrees they are the world's best caramels and that it is impossible to eat just one.

Yelp
Loved the caramels from this place. I bought all the flavors- ALL the flavors- and they were all wonderful. These would make an outstanding gift, or you could do what I did, and eat them all yourself! If I had to pick a favorite flavor it would be the rhubarb or maple or bourbon- but I loved them all and it's really hard to pick a favorite. You can order these and have them shipped to your home. Customer service and shipping is outstanding and the quality of these caramels is superb. I think these may be the best caramels I've ever eaten. I eat a lot of goat cheese, and I thought these might be "goaty"- which I would not have minded- but instead they are decadently soft and rich and creamy. I can see why the caramels win awards.

Yelp
I'm fondest of the maple caramels, but also love the blueberry-ginger and rhubarb ones. Never had one? Imagine the best caramel you've ever eaten -- times ten.

Yelp
Big Picture Farm was started by Lucas Farrell and Louisa Conrad back in '10. They have 40 goats that graze around their hillside farm who also produces milk for the cheeses and the award-winning goat milk caramels that they are known for! I love the fact that they seasonal flavors for their goat milk caramels (wild chocolate mint, blueberry ginger, cider honey, and butter bourbon), as well as their usual (sea salt & bourbon, chai caramel, maple cream, and cocoa latte) - all lovely in flavor, very creamy, and delicious! All caramels are made on the premise, handmade, and using only the freshest ingredients. They also sell cute greeting cards, hand-sewn gift satchels, prints, etc. If you want to make a visit, the farm is opened on Sunday afternoons from 1-3PM where you can visit the couple and the cute little goats :D Check them out! +goat milk caramels (award-winning!) +visit the farm 1-3PM on Sundays
