We had a wonderful experience at Big Dash! The store is newly opened and offers an impressive variety of ice creams, desserts, and pastries. The ambiance is vibrant and inviting, and the staff is genuinely friendly. A special shoutout to the manager, Waffa, who truly made our visit memorable. She was warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time—offering fantastic recommendations that we thoroughly enjoyed. 10/10 would recommend! 👍🏼

Google
A friend recommended this place to us many different pastries, and food items from at least and I wanted to try some of the KanafaFah when you enter, you find very different variety of ice cream flour that you don’t find in the usual ice cream shops and you’ll find plenty of desserts in Phil wraps. This is an authentic Middle Eastern Cafe. I recommend everyone to visit this place. Their service is outstanding once you pay the bill you get the food within 5 to 10 minutes and the ambience is just very chill. We ordered a bunch of stuff. Everything tasted amazing.

I had a great experience here! The service was excellent—friendly and attentive staff who made sure everything was perfect. The desserts were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place with good service and amazing sweets!

Google
I paid around $32 for the three items. The chocolate strawberry cup had about 7 strawberries and so much chocolate! Some of the strawberries were old. The custard was plain, no taste at all. The chocolate bar was ok.

Updating my review: Came 5th time in last 3 days This time order a to go San Sebastián cheese cake (Bellache S put the cake in the bag) and when we came home, from the slice a big Chunk is missing ($9 cake slice can’t be like this), picture attached. Old review: Due to all of the fantastic reviews we decided to try Dubai chocolate at Bigdash. We ordered following items without knowing what to expect, Dubai chocolate strawberry Cup Chocolate Hazelnut Rolls San Sebastián cheese cake Pistachio sauce and pistachio Sticky caramel cheese slice Love the Cheese cake with pistachio sauce, didn’t like the tiny sauce and grinned pistachio cost us $6 each. Dubai chocolate strawberry Cup is extremely sweet.

Google
This place is nice, but it’s not authentic. We tried the regular kinafa, and it was terrible. The cheese was just string cheese, and the cheese came out of the sweet stuff when eating. It was our first and worst experience. We’ve had much better elsewhere. Not sure what the hype is about. Their Karaka tea was watered down too. Definitely won’t be coming back.

Google
BigDash Ice Cream & Pastry is authentic for Middle Eastern desserts! Their baklava is perfectly crispy and rich, and their specialty—chocolate kunafa—is absolutely amazing! The balance of crispy kunafa, gooey chocolate, and creamy sweetness is just perfect. The quality and freshness of their sweets are top-notch, and the flavors are truly authentic. If you have a sweet tooth and love Middle Eastern treats, this place is a must-visit!

Google
My boyfriend pointed this place out and we decided to check it out. Mind you, I don’t usually enjoy sweets but I was pleasantly surprised. Immediately when you walk in, you walk down a “red carpet” and greeted by kind people. This must be a popular shop because after we sat down, the line was nearly out the door. Every table was filled with people and I enjoyed that the atmosphere. There was a diverse group of guests there from all walks of life. I ordered the ice cream which tasted delicious but the texture was much different from traditional American ice cream. The ice cream was a stretchy texture and melted slowly, which gave me time to eat slow and pace myself. American ice cream would have been completely liquid by the time I finished eating. I enjoyed this place and look forward to bringing my family here when they come visit.

Yelp
Friendly staff and so many varieties if you're a baklava lover! They're happy to answer questions if you have any and we sure did. We had the triangle baklava with pistachio ice cream. It normally comes with rose water ice cream, but we're not fans of rose water. The ice cream is interesting since it's sticky / stretchy. The flavor is also more subtle. Rolled up baklava is the way to go! So much easier to eat and it makes the perfect bite. Go try this place out!

Yelp
Monday is the day to some here - $3 off a made to order Kunefe. I will be back for that. Instead we opted for the pistachio baklava with pistachio ice cream. In the photos is looks like it is stuffed inside the baklava, but the ice cream was just on the side. It was pretty tasty and obviously fresh. The ice cream was almost chewy, which was interesting. I will take friends from out of town here to try it if they seem interested!

Yelp
A sweet haven in Richardson! If you're craving a delightful treat, Bigdash Ice Cream and Pastries in Richardson is a must-visit spot! From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a spacious and inviting atmosphere that sets the perfect tone for a sweet adventure. The staff here are not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable about their wide array of offerings. As someone who wasn't familiar with many of their items, I appreciated their guidance and enthusiasm in helping me explore their menu. Now, let's talk about the real stars of the show - the desserts! I had the pleasure of indulging in their Brown Kinafa, Red Kinafa, and a couple of their baklavas varieties, and each bite was a heavenly experience. The flavors were rich, the textures were perfect, and every item was crafted with care and expertise. Whether you're a dessert aficionado or simply looking for a delightful treat, this is the place to be. Treat yourself to an unforgettable dessert journey - you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
All the pastries and ice cream are delicious. I love pistachio, so this place has some great treats for me. Service is quick & Friendly. Ambiance is family inviting.

Yelp
It's always a pleasure stopping by this place. This is their new location, at least to me, as I used to frequent them when they were in the other Richardson location. This location is much more spacious than the one before, and they have more seatings. You still order at the counter, and they'll give a number to take to the table (you pick your own table). Red kinafa and ice cream are my go to here. Their ice cream is very unique for their gooey consistency. Paired it with a kinafa for maximum goodness. They also sell pastries and other desserts like eclair and baklava, so you'll have plenty of sweet options.

Yelp
This place is delicious and the owners are so sweet and passionate about what they do! The story of how they started their business is so inspiring! Love their stretchy ice cream with pistachios on top (I'm drooling), the red kinafa, the brown kinafa, and the baklava. Literally everything here is delicious! I highly recommend.

Yelp
I really like this dessert spot! So many different pastries and options for dessert so there's something for everyone!! A ton of seating inside and the workers were very helpful.
google avatar

Cathy M.

Yelp
friendly staff and alot of options. I got the kinafa and im actually a little upset i didnt try this place sooner. If you're craving a treat, this place is a must-visit spot!

Yelp
I got the baklava with Arab ice cream. The baklava was PERFECT I love baklava and decided to get it with the Arab ice cream. It was my first time trying Arab ice cream so my pallet wasn't ready for it and after a few bites I started to like it a little bit. Other than that next time I'll probably either get it with no ice cream or with vanilla.

Yelp
We've been coming here for several years now when we visit Dallas. The food is great, service is quick, and the 'new' location on Greenville is large and clean. We often have the ice cream, which contains mastic that makes it 'stretchy'. Our favorite flavors are pistachio and mint. Crepes (big enough to share) and cake slices also are yummy. Before we leave town, we always get some pastries to eat as we travel. Some favorites are pistachio baklava, crown baklava, and warbat. We really have enjoyed everything we've tried!
google avatar

Tara W.

Yelp
the only middle eastern dessert that i've had before is baklava, which i honestly wasn't a big fan of because they're usually super sweet, but bigdash introduced me to a whole new world of wonders. the kinafa is definitely a must. i was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed the combination of the shredded fillo dough, the cheese, the pistachio, and the rosewater syrup. would recommend adding the rosewater syrup gradually tho as it can get a bit overwhelming. the warbat is also very delicious and light tasting! they have plenty of seating and their decor is also very Arabic. super cute!

Yelp
I AM STILL LOVING BIGDASH! Now that I live closer I'm scared that I will be spending all my money here! 10/10 I recommend, please do yourself a favor and check out this spot.

Ryan M.

Yelp
Ran across this "dessert gem" late one evening and WOW!! Ordered a few treats, both delightful. The highlight, for us, was the amazing Turkish coffee! Thanks for the experience Next time, we will come earlier so we aren't up all night
google avatar

Rachel J.

Yelp
Bigdash has plenty of options for desserts on their menu. I came here with a couple of friends because we were craving a sweet treat. We tried the tuxedo cake, raspberry cake, tiramisu and the triple chocolate crepe. The cakes were mediocre and I probably wouldn't get them again. If I could recommend one dessert, I would highly suggest the triple chocolate crepe. The chocolate was rich and paired well with the dough of the crepe. The staff was incredibly friendly and I would highly recommend checking out Bigdash!
google avatar

Yelp
I love this place and everything about it. The stretchy ice cream never disappoints. The red Linda's is my absolute favorite. Everyone is so nice. I am so happy they got a bigger venue.

Daniel K.

Yelp
Great options, delicious food, fantastic service! We'll definitely be back! Great date night spot!

Yelp
Neighborhood Turkish dessert place. We tried the tiramisu ice cream - coffee flavored with large chunks of chocolate. Ice cream consistency is different, creamy sticky loads of flavor. The pastries made with filo dough where light thin crispy with lots of fresh nuts and honey so good. Also had a slice tuxedo cake layers of cake, thick rich chocolate and cream cheese. This is a place to stop by and try some of there delicious treats. Counters of cakes and pastries ready to purchase. The atmosphere when you walk in front door on a red carpet, and welcomed by a nice young man behind the counters he was so nice explaining the process of the ice cream and suggesting items to try. Great service and sweets
google avatar

Yelp
Note to self: You like their Cookie Butter bakery items, and you LOVE the red kinafa lol. Husb and I wanted to get adventurous and try new places every week. SUPER happy with Bigdash, and the folks who work there are always so incredibly nice and helpful. :) I tried an assortment of their baklava, coconut hareesa, regular and red kinafas. Prior to this, I'd only ever had basic baklava from out of a box, so the gentleman behind the counter was great at making recommendations for things to try. Will def be coming back!
google avatar

Sherelle L.

Yelp
Loved this environment! As soon as I walked in I was welcomed and shown their most popular items. So many beautifully crafted pastries to choose from! I didn't know what to get but got a pudding and some other items. All were really good ! Price point was higher than expected

Yelp
FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: 4 locations across the metroplex, a Middle Eastern-owned dessert shop that serves anything from ice cream (someone please tell me what type of ice cream this is) to Turkish baklava to kinafa (I find that this is spelled multiple ways someone explain that to me too lol). THE VIBE: very busy on a Friday evening! Like there was no tables and you have to snag a table right when someone gets up PRICE: ~$10 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 10/10 - I have always heard about kinafa/kanafeh as one of the best middle eastern desserts and idk why it took me this long to finally try it! - The perfect amount of sweetness (if you want more they have simple syrup on the side to put on top) and a cheesy bottom and crispy top. It was one of the best desserts I've had and definitely worth the hype. - Big Dash is a huge hit in the DFW area. They have so many options to choose from. Their ice cream I believe has a different texture than American ice cream and may be "chewier" so I'm intrigued! - Definitely a hit and y'all should check it out!

Yelp
My experience at Big Lots was delightful, especially with their incredible selection of Mediterranean desserts. I particularly enjoyed the kunafa and sampled various baklawa varieties, including pistachio and walnut, all of which were delicious. The pistachio ice cream was a highlight, made with real pistachios. The ambiance, adorned with Arabic music, was enchanting, complemented by stylish chairs both inside and outside. The overall seating arrangement was appealing. The service was excellent, making it a place I look forward to visiting again.
google avatar

Jamie T.

Yelp
Highly recommend this business! Their caramel pudding almost taste like tiramisu from Italy for some reason (which is a good thing)! Honestly, this place is criminally underrated, I would probably rate this place as top 15 in terms of the most interesting dessert places in Dallas! And trust me, I've been to a lot of places. Like WOW, blown away by their selection!
google avatar

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Great place to try different pastries! I had the baklava with Arabic ice cream and assorted pastries. Everything was delicious, the flavor of that ice cream...wow... it's very unique, floral, super light and the texture is sticky, soooo good! I really enjoyed the coconut hareesa, definitely I'll get more of that next time. Super friendly staff, clean and very nice atmosphere!
google avatar

Saba M.

Yelp
I like there mint and lemon ice cream. It's very refreshing. It goes well with the chocolate. There cakes are also yummy. I like the Kanafa but I tell them to put the syrup on the side as it's way too sweet then they drench it. I'd recommend this place.
google avatar

Tokyo C.

Yelp
Really impressed with their story and their product! Very well managed! Great customer service! Loved the ambiance and how clean and spacious their new location is at firewheel! Best wishes and congratulations!
google avatar

Moira S.

Yelp
Delicious baklava and stretchy ice cream! Definitely recommend. Great service and cute shop!
google avatar

Kaitlyn S.

Yelp
I've had this spot on my "must try" list for at least 2 year and I'm so glad I finally got to try it! Inside you'll find pastries backaches in gift boxes which I didn't expect but was glad to see! There's a counter for pastries and baked goodies and another for ice cream. Seating is ample but will fill up during peak hours. There also a nice covered outdoor seating area with a fire place that is probably fabulous in the cooler months!

Aksana O.

Yelp
I have been to this location multiple times and I can't ever get enough. It's amazing! I recommend trying their crepes their thick and perfect and the pistachio ice cream is delicious. They do take a bit to make the crepes but it is worth the wait!
google avatar

Claire P.

Yelp
dessert place in Richardson with a huge option of baklava, cookies and pistachio pastries. Apart from that they have ice cream and coffee . We wanted to try the knafeh but it takes about 5/10 minutes per the guy that helped us. When we have more time will definitely try it. They gave sitting areas inside and outside.
google avatar

Maria Aimen J.

Yelp
Big Dash reminds me of Shatila from Michigan in the best way. The baklava is fresh and sweet, the knafeh is absolutely the best I've had, even better than what I had in Istanbul! The baklava with the ice cream is too floral in my opinion but that's just my opinion. I love the custard they have and I'm not even a fan of custard! My favorite part? They have little cups of the simple syrup and the pistachio crumbs, my favorite! We need this place in Houston!
google avatar

Harsha S.

Yelp
This was my first time having Turkish ice cream, and it was absolutely amazing. I was able to taste test and grabbed a scoop of Pistachio and Tiramisu. The pistachio ice cream had powdered pistachio mixed into the ice cream whereas the tiramisu ice cream had chocolate chips as well as the coffee flavor. I loved the stretch and texture. I've had baklava before and I could tell that the ingredients were pretty fresh. Each of the fingers had the right amount of sweetness and it was very flaky/buttery. The coconut hareesa was so good too. It was moist, dense, and very flavorful. I'll definitely be back to try other items!
google avatar

Hadi R.

Yelp
Greta spot. The Kinafa was really good. We got the brown one and it was super tasty. The pistachio cake was also really great. Definitely recommend it.
google avatar

Muthana A.

Yelp
Never been here before, but wanted to try some knafeh and see what this place is like. It has a very nice, exotic atmosphere. I mean the decor is pretty and there are so many boxes of treats on the shelves, ice creams and baked goods and just so much selection. Very clean and inviting. Friendly service. I had Turkish coffee with knafeh. Everything was delicious. The have new location in Irving as will
google avatar

Raian N.

Yelp
The endless dessert options are the best part about this location. You can come every time and try something new without ever getting tired of this place. But somehow the knafe and arabic ice cream can never get old. They make the knafe right in front of you and it pairs so beautifully with the ice cream. If you've never tried Arabic ice cream, it's a must! The flavor and texture is nothing like regular American ice cream. This place feels like back home in the Middle East and the staff and are so welcoming.

Alfredo E.

Yelp
Superb ice creams and top-notch desserts. I keep going back for the Turkish coffee with cardamom, only for strong-flavor lovers but absolutely delicious and truly keep you awake. I just don't give 5 stars because service tends to be slow but totally worth it if you have the time to spare and you crave something out-of-the-ordinary sweet treat.

April C.

Yelp
Tried this location last night. Staff was attentive. There was a casual vibe. We purchased two pieces of pistachio baklava and brown knafeh. The baklava was good but fell apart unusually easy. The knafeh was good but not outstanding. I might return.
google avatar

Susan N.

Yelp
I once visited their old tucked away Richardson location and it was always super packed at all times of the day which is always a good sign. I'm glad they have a larger space now with the same quality treats. I was waiting for the hype to die down at this new location, but it seems this place is as busy as ever even around 11pm! I love that they open super late for my sweet tooth cravings. One of my favorite made-to-order desserts they offer is the red kinafa: crispy shredded phyllo dough roasted with a layer of sweet cheese! I also got an assortment of different baklava and the kullaj was my favorite one. They sell the famous stretchy ice cream as well and it's definitely unique and worth a try. I took my family here and although they aren't huge dessert fans, they still enjoyed everything. Overall amazing quality and selection of middle eastern desserts!
google avatar

Rabia S.

Yelp
not a personal favorite but well liked dessert shop by many I haven't had a chance to properly sit down and order from here, so when I got the chance to dine in, i took it. It's spacious with outside shared seating, but it gets crowded really fast, especially on evening weekends. I ordered red kunafa with Arabic ice cream. We also had an order of mango ice cream. First off, I like the texture of the crunchy red kunafa compared to the smoother brown one. Now that being sad, I'm disappointed to say, it wasn't for me. The first bite with ice cream was good, but after I added the syrup (which you pour on the kunafa before eating), I got a massive headache from the rose essence. Lately, rose water in desserts has not been sitting well with me. After it went to my head, I couldn't enjoy or eat it anymore. That being said, the ice cream was still fun to eat. I liked the stretchy texture, and I preferred the mango to the Arabic ice cream flavor. insta reviews: @dfweatshalal

Yelp
Bigdash. A must try! Hubby and I stepped out to Bigdash today to try our hand at some middle eastern treats. Upon entry, the dessert eatery is cloaked in beautiful accents of purple and gold. Staff are welcoming and make it a point to make you feel as if they are there expressly for you! I had a small scoop of the Arabic and Pistachio Ice Cream. The Arabic was rich and slightly stretchy( you heard me, stretchy) with a flavor of smooth custard and a hint of rose water. DIVINE in this 100 degree heat. The Pistachio was Jam packed with chopped pistachios and buttery in flavor (drool). Hubby had a scoop of the Cookie Monster in a waffle come that was reminiscent of your favorite childhood treat. The best part about Bigdash is that their ice creams are not overly sweet. Just the perfect balance of texture and flavor. They also offer an assortment of Baklava, Crepes, and other pastries that I can't wait to sink my teeth into. Looking for a new sweet spot? This is it! Check it out.

Yelp
WOW... wanted some baklava and thought I'd try this place. WINNER The baklava is fantastic. I sample the cashew and Warbat. Delicious. Tres Leches cake is top notch. I even tried the ice cream. I typically avoid banana flavor but for some reason banana hazelnut intrigued me. So flipping good. I want to go back for Turkish coffee and kunafa. Friendly service. They walked me through their offerings.
google avatar

Krista R.

Yelp
Starting the new year off right with middle eastern goodness. I've had big dash bookmarked for awhile but haven't had a chance to try it until stumbling on it accidentally today. The place was busy! It's really nice inside. They had a variety of goodies that I would love to try. We all got ice cream. I got rose water ice cream with pistachios. Rosewater ice cream is labeled as Arab out of the ones to be picked. I really liked it. Not sure how to describe the taste. The pistachios were fresh. The texture of the ice cream was different. I liked the other flavors kids and husband had which were almond and chocolate. I got a cashew baklava type dessert. So good. I love cashews. Also got a pistachio finger. The rice puddings and other cold desserts looked yum as well. Next time will try a kinafa.
google avatar

Dana T.

Yelp
Excellent desert, fresh, not too sweet and clean spacious sitting area. Please give stronger spoons.
google avatar

Havah S.

Yelp
It is soooooo busy at night during Ramadan and the ice cream was so stretchy. The baklawa was fresh and delicious. As well as the custard. Fun for the whole family after Taraweeh prayers.
google avatar

Eli T.

Yelp
This is the best pastry shop I've ever tried. The ice cream has a very nice texture and the flavor of the tiramisu scoop was delicious. The have a large variety of treat for everyone. I also tried the hazelnut chocolate crape and it was amazing. They had plenty baklava choices and all of the ones I tried were great. None of them were overly sweet which is something I am sensitive to! The service was also very good, everyone was very friendly and the ambiance was lively. I will definitely be going back when I am craving something sweet! Love this place!
google avatar

Hyun P.

Yelp
I rarely eat ice cream but I love the stretchy Turkish ice cream here. The place is big with a lot of seatings, great for family or group hangout, lively atmosphere. *Big thanks to the employees for finding my keys!!
google avatar

Priscilla A.

Yelp
This visit was my first time here & I will certainly be back! The dessert was amazing! I had the brown kinafa and it was absolutely delicious. My first time having linage was at a Greek restaurant and it was the crunchy kinafa, I prefer the texture of the crunchy one however the brown one is still good (just more in the softer side). The ice cream has a stretchy consistency, not like any ice cream I've tried before; I sampled a few of them and they were all light and tasted very fresh (not like anything store bought). I look forward to going back and trying their other desserts!
google avatar

Sophia M.

Yelp
Love the family! I love the food aswell!! I would recommend turkish coffee, baklava, or arabic ice cream! Delicious!!!!!!
google avatar

Brianda T.

Yelp
Red Kinafa is a must!!! so delicious ! great friendly service! I added ice cream to mine
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Ok, if you think you know desserts, you ain't seen nothing yet until you've visited Bigdash. The Persian and Middle Eastern flavors of honey, pistachio, and rose are sure to impress you. From the sticky ice cream to the rose-watered cheese kanafa, Bigdash is a spot you'll want to come visit again and again.
google avatar

Natasha S.

Yelp
Upon entering we were instantly greeted. We got desserts to go! Everything was fresh and delicious but our favorite has to be the rice pudding! A must try!
