July 15, 2025 I stopped by to grab a coffee and a croissant on the go, and unfortunately, the experience was far from pleasant. After eating most of the croissant, I noticed mold on the remaining portion. As someone who’s always on the go, I couldn’t return to the shop for a refund. I tried calling the shop several times to report the issue, but no one ever answered the phone. I’m extremely disappointed by this experience. No one should ever be served moldy food, especially when you’re trusting a business to provide fresh, quality items. I understand mistakes happen, but the lack of response and inability to reach anyone to resolve the issue makes this a frustrating experience. I’m sharing this so that others are aware, and I hope this review encourages the business to improve quality control and customer service. Highly disappointed, and will not be returning. The purchase was made on 7/15/25, approximately 7:00 AM-7:40 AM for $11.43 in card ending 2165 The order was a Hot Bella Dulce with a Croissant

Seasonal Banana iced espresso had such a unique profile, the natural banana paste or purée in it really shined. Like the La La Land banana latte but less like a dessert - better for true coffee lovers. I can tell all their menu items highlight strong natural flavors which I think is their selling point. Plenty of tables and outlets in the cafe. Staff was very kind.

This coffee shop is a hidden gem! I’ve passed by it every time I’ve gone to IKEA but never stopped—until today. I finally decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did! I ordered the Bella Dulce, and it was absolutely delicious. The inside of the shop is so cozy—I loved all the cute plants, they added such a charming touch. Plus, the owner, Billie Joe, was super friendly and welcoming.

The Campfire latte was fantastic!! It tasted exactly like s'mores, definitely a perfect comfort drink. I also loved the Bella Dulce latte and the cheese danish. Also, plants!!! They are super beautiful and very well taken care of. The location being right across from Ikea is great too.

First time trying this place! Love the look of fresh plants, brings a sense of peace to the setting. Coffee and breakfast sandwich was delicious. 😆

Best coffee in the area, hands down. Deserts and eats are quality for the price. Most places water down their coffee with too much milk and sweeteners but Billie Joe gets it right while still having interesting specials. Try their horchata and Salty Goat.

Very nice coffee house to work in. I'm a Realtor®️ and was able to comfortably work there. The owner was really nice and so were his employees. Didn't know what to order and the gentleman said he would surprise me. It was good. I stayed for a while and then got some drip coffee as my next drink. I will definitely return.

Great spot to meet up, hang out, enjoy the delicious coffees, and relax. Got to meet the owner last time I was in he poured me a delicious cold brew blend that got my day off to the perfect start!

Directly across from IKEA, this little coffee shop is the perfect spot to grab a cup before you shop. I liked the decor, with lots of plants and cozy seating. I tried an oat milk campfire s'mores latte. It was warm and rich - maybe a tad more smoky tasting than I expected. They play soothing music in the background. Everyone was friendly - this was a great place to relax for several hours. There's tons of outlets, so you can definitely bring your laptop and get work done. There are a few sidewalk tables out front, if the weather allows. Great spot!

As a self-proclaimed coffee & matcha connoisseur, Billie Joe did not hit the mark in my opinion. Positives: I really enjoyed the decor of the establishment as well as overall vibe. The low volume and clean aesthetic offer a comfortable place to connect with friends or a productive coworking space. Room for improvement: the staff was kind enough, but nothing notable. I would've loved a welcoming smile or a friendly menu recommendation as we looked noticeably new to the establishment (looked around for specials, outloud stated not knowing where to find the menu, etc). If you decide to go, know that the menu is behind your back if you are facing the counter. And the drinks were okay at best. We ordered the summer banana special with 1 being espresso and the other being matcha. The espresso version tasted like an at-home cup of coffee with cinnamon added (no banana flavor) & the matcha was chalky with a lot to be desired. All in all, I likely won't be back, but I wish the business the best!

This place is a gem! The inside of the shop is very nice, lots of seating and plants. I've been looking for a coffee shop with really good coffee near me and I've been struggling a bit. Not anymore! This shop has LEGITIMATE coffee y'all ‍ the service was relatively quick and I didn't mind waiting since it was super chill inside the store. I'm not picky when it comes to coffee at all, the super sweet watered down ones have their moment but finding a place that does the actual coffee part right is really hard. Their matcha latte is also good thank goodness! I was starting to really get skeptical of coffee/tea shop matcha lattes. If you're by the area this place is top tier, I'm definitely going to be by more often.

This has become my new favorite local coffee shop. The atmosphere is very laid back, and the plants are a nice touch. I met Billie on my first trip and he was very welcoming, and knowledgeable on coffee. The avocado toast is the best around and I loved the red onions on it.I got the salty goat and after one sip I was hooked. I walked back in and bought a bag of coffee to take home. Fast forward to today I got the dulce with almond milk half sweet and it was the perfect combination. Overall ditch Starbucks and all the other chain restaurants. Go to Billie Joe Coffee CO!

To start off the service was amazing! He was super attentive and was very patient since it was our first time and we took a while to look at the menu, the flan coffee is one of the BEST coffees I've ever had I highly recommend it!

I want to love this place but I've been there 5 times now and every time there's been an issue with my order and very long wait times even when ordering ahead. Today I ordered ahead, arrived at the pickup time, waited there 10 minutes just to find out my breakfast order hadn't even been started yet and ultimately I had to I get a refund because I couldn't keep waiting. I understand sometimes things get crazy and estimated times can't be met but it wasn't busy and this is the 5th time something like this happened. Also, the price point is a bit high which makes the complications, incorrect, and incomplete orders feel even more frustrating. I hope this place gets a better system down.

Every time I come in, they are so nice & friendly & welcoming! It's a great place to grab & go or stay & chat. The croffle was so good! It comes drizzled in caramel & is a croissant pressed & warm. I ordered the Dulce de leche & it was pretty, so tasty & perfectly iced like i like it! We stayed & had breakfast, a table to sit & just it was nice and quiet! They also sell a box coffee for large groups! Go in and try all their specialty coffee!

They give out moldy croissants, and when you call to complain no one answers the phone! Pretty nasty

Billie Joe Coffee is in a great location. Right across from IKEA and just on the other side of the highway is a whole shopping center! There is ample parking and the customer service is impeccable. Inside there are tables for a nice conversation with friends or you can relax on the couch. My coffee of choice came from their specialty menu, called the Bella Dolce which has French vanilla and dulce de leche. Yum! I love how you can taste the smooth espresso and it's not clouded by straight sugar! I prefer a bolder latte and Billie Joe came through for me :) I also ordered the Croffle. It is a flaky croissant cooked in a waffle iron, topped with powdered sugar and syrup. My child didn't like it because "it wasn't sweet enough," thinking it would be like a waffle. However, I appreciate that fact! Today was a wonderful visit, thank you!

Off the charts!!! I dined in with a hot Mocha Azteca. I appreciate Mr Billie suggesting a modification to my alternate milk choice. He said oat milk will pair well with Mocha Azteca. The cinnamon and chili powder spice was daring. I loved it. I also tried the iced Salty Goat to-go. The almond milk worked well with this combo. The flavors were BOLD in both drinks. The service, drinks and music vibes from Billie Joe Coffee all deserve 5 stars!! I can't wait to return and try the other drinks on the menu.

Black-owned!!! First, I'd like to thank you for hosting this event for us Yelper's, it was greatly appreciated! I haven't been to that side of town in a long time, it's great to see how much it has grown. From the outside, you can only imagine what it'll look like on the inside, but I was pleasantly surprised when entering. The space was open, and the first thing that caught my attention was the plants. I'm a lover of indoor plants, I feel they bring so much to a space. I love the color scheme as well, it all seems to balance the space and mood. I will admit, I missed the smell of coffee hitting me in the face as I walked in, but there weren't many people there and I'm sure that's why. From what I'm gathering, this is a coffee-heavy establishment. I didn't see anything that brought attention to their teas or frappes, but I believe I missed that menu due to it being hidden behind two other menus. That should be corrected, I had no idea there was a separate menu until one of the other Yelpers mentioned it, after the fact. I'll take responsibility for that as well, I should have asked. I did mention, that I'm not a coffee drinker, and described a drink that was mentioned in a review when I mentioned that to the young lady. Again, I mentioned I don't like coffee, but what was suggested and what I was served, was coffee. I did enjoy the strawberry sweet foam, but I couldn't get past that and threw it away. The star of the visit, that dang Croffle! It was so buttery, flaky, warm, and drizzled with syrup. This was so good, if they were closer, I'd love to stop by and take a dozen to work for a Friday treat. Seriously, you MUST add one to your list when visiting, next. Overall, I enjoyed this visit and when on that side of town, I'll stop by for a Croffle! I will agree with my fellow reviewer, that it may be beneficial to hire a second person to help the young lady at the counter. She's so sweet, but I'm sure when busy, things can get a bit uncomfortable for her. That will also free up Billie, he's so proud of his venture and and has a story to tell. Being able to do that without having to go back and forth, would be a great thing for him. Check them out, and don't forget your CROFFLE!!!

This locally-owned cafe is right across IKEA on Ikea Pl dr., next to Voodoo brewing, very easy access from Hwy 161. It's a cozy place with simple classy design. The owner was super friendly. I got the iced caramel Flan coffee (signature coffee not on regular menu), which was so good & I am typically more of a hot coffee drinker. It was the perfect balance of strong espresso taste & creamy milk, topped with whipped cream & crunchy caramel granules, about medium sweetness. There are some unique flavors on menu that I want to try next time.

I got a Horchata X with oatmilk, it's got the perfect amount of sweetness, spice and bitterness. The owner seems very friendly, while I was there I could hear him crafting new drinks and experimenting to expand his menu. Ambiance and music is perfect, not too loud, ample amount of outlets with a section for lounging and talking and a good amount of tables to study or get work done. Wifi was strong enough for the cafe! My only complaints is cleanliness, table was stained a bit but it didn't bother me enough to find another table, this may be due to a smaller staff in the afternoon. My other complaint is I wish the place was open a little longer! However, I would definitely come back again!

I was in town for work, and my friend suggested we stop by Billie Joe Coffee Co. Actually she insisted, because she lives nearby and she's a raving fan. Now I see why! I loved how cozy and inviting the space felt and immediately wanted to dine-in instead of have my food for take out. (Which is what I typically do) I love tea, and I was excited to see that they have a dedicated menu with a variety of hot and iced teas available. After my friend explained how much time and care the owner puts into sourcing his beans in a sustainable way, I knew I had to try the coffee. My friend opted for a pour over and I chose one of their signature lattes called the "Bella Dolce". It so pso good! I also loved the curated glasses they served all of the hot and iced drinks in for dine-in service. Now their selection of pastries is the thing that took this experience to the next level. I don't know who they have baking here, but I almost cried when I bit into the cream cheese danish that I ordered. It tasted like pure bliss, and it's a true laminated dough (which takes TIME y'all). I was upset that I didn't order another one just to take with me on the plane, because I was leaving that same day. All in all I had a wonderful experience at Billie Joe Coffee Co. The owner is doing a bang up job, and I can't wait until the next time I visit the DFW ares so that I can stop by again. I highly recommend this local business!

I love this place! The service was speedy and they answered all my questions since it was my first time. I tried the Campfire latte and MY GOODNESS it was tasty. I also got the avocado toast on an everything bagel half, and that was solid too. WiFi connection is great and I was able to get a lot of work done while coworking with a friend. Will definitely be adding this to my study/work rotation for the new year!

It is hard for a coffee shop to get 5 stars from me, so this place must be great! The location, the vibe, the staff, AND THE COFFEE... 5 stars across the board. I stopped by for a quick espresso drink and had to pause and take a minute to review it immediately. Billy Joe, you are doing the dang thang! Keep it up!!!!!

Coffee made the right way! The location is near IKEA. The atmosphere is inviting and laid back which appeals to me. The service was not only professional, but helpful and friendly. I ordered the Bella Dulce and DH got Sands of Time. Both drinks were delicious!!! We will definitely be back.

This place was surprisingly busy for a weekday afternoon, which is how I knew it would be good. There are only a couple smaller tables in the seating area anyways, but they were full and there were people outside as well. The service was incredibly friendly and efficient. I got an iced Cracker Jack latte and I was so surprised to find that it actually tasted like a Cracker Jack. I'd stop by again if I were in the area!

This was my first time here and I must say it was pretty nice. The vibes is just right, not to big not to small. I almost lost track of time studying while here. It is a lot of traffic but it doesn't break your focus. The place is clean and different seating options ( couch, high or low tables ). I would recommend and I will be back to try out the rest of the menu.

Very relaxed, comfortable little coffee shop right across from Ikea in Grand Prairie. The Salty Goat is delicious! and the service was warm and welcoming. My number one coffee spot anytime I'm in the area.

Great customer service and beautiful establishment. I'm an everyday coffee/tea drinker so I was really disappointed after ordering the hot Paris TX latte. I tasted no expresso or lavender at all. If someone else orders it, hopefully you have a better experience. Maybe it was an off day. A few yelpers told me the croffle was delicious. I wish I would've tried a pastry, but after tasting the latte I wasn't sure if I would enjoy one.

Grand Prairie is still wide open spaces for the most part, but you can find so many amazing little spots. Billie Joe is one of them. I followed maps to get there and was like, "is this coffee shop inside of IKEA?!" -- but it's just right across from it over by Jason's Deli. The outside aesthetic around here is very suburban and cookie-cutter, but Billie Joe is a personable, refreshing, and thoughtful little coffee shop that you shouldn't miss out on. Owned by husband and wife team, the stated mission is: "passionate about making good coffee, we source only the highest quality green coffee and work with those who seek to do the same. We roast a small, intentional selection with care to bring forth the unique qualities of each one, highlighting what makes them special." Love a spot that roasts its own beans A friend and I visited recently and we took so long to decide what we wanted. Their "specialities" menu has items like the "Cracker Jack Latte" with espresso, toffee crunch, and buttered popcorn; the "Campfire Latte" with espresso, dark chocolate, gingerbread, and flamed marshmallow; the "Salty Goat" with espresso, goats milk caramel, hazelnut, and sea salt; and the "Mocha Azteca" with espresso, Abuelita, cinnamon, and chipotle. That's just a few, but already, how do you choose? I ended up choosing an iced "Bella Dolce." French vanilla and dulce de leche! The atmosphere is super casual and comfortable, and there's lots of natural light. Don't forget to try a "croffle" (waffle pressed croissant)!

Great business with a really friendly owner. What a nice place, clean, well kept, black owned. Billie the owner is super friendly and has created his own brand and his own drinks. He even roasts his own coffee. In business for 3 years in a somewhat hidden spot, but soon the grow with some large anchor business coming next to the IKEA that's already there. They aren't open late, looks like most days closes around 5 pm. The drinks are nice, well created. Coffee and espresso taste good. Access is a bit limited right now. There is only one way in and that's at the IKEA entrance. Tho this isn't his fault, the city just hasn't placed the rest of the roads yet that are coming. Definitely worth a try, come visit and say hi to Billie.

Great little coffee shop with good people and great coffee choices. They have a few eats also that are pretty good. When you go, you have to try the Mocha Azteca. It was really good. And after or before, you can go across the street and visit Ikea. lol

The ambiance was great for studying or just chatting with a friend. The service was also great, they bring your coffee or Danish to you after you order. The cheese Danish tastes really fresh and brought to the table warm. I was able to get work done. WiFi is available

I am a huge iced caramel coffee lover! I refuse to drink anything else. My husband and I love trying new coffee places when we travel through Dallas. I ordered the Salty Goat and my husband ordered the Cafe Flan Latte. The Salty Goat was great but then when I tried my husband's Cafe Flan Latte and it was the best coffee drink I ever had! The perfect balance of sweetness and the creaminess. I love the sugar crystals with the foam. We had to come back the next day to get another. I can't stop thinking about it. I am 360 miles away and if we come back, just know I found my favorite coffee shop in Dallas, probably in Texas as well. Btw I did try their coffee cake. It's so perfectly moist that it's a great combo to pair with any of their coffee. I love the ambience of their shop! The plants and the employees are so nice! Very helpful!!

Billie is doing coffee right! Hands down one of the best cups of joe I've had in this area. The espresso is prepared perfectly and the milk heated just so. Add to that a cool ambience and amazing owner. I'll absolutely be back!

Everything a local coffee shop should be! Personable staff who remember your drinks and recommend new options to try (I have never been disappointed with the results), ample seating options to get work done or chat with friends. Throw in recently updated wifi and house plants. Convenient parking is the cherry on top. With prices comparable to Starbucks, it is definitely worth grabbing your next cup of Joe at this gem!

I came in just looking for a pick me up drink, this spot gave me so much more! The barista that helped me was so friendly! She asked me a few questions, then made suggestions and baby she hit the nail on the head! The coconut matcha made with ceremonial grade was EVERYTHING! So different, but so refreshing. It wasn't too much, but just enough. I need to go back and try some of their lattes as well.

Coffee with a smile! Great little coffee shop! We got a latte and a vanilla late. Both were perfect! The staff there were super friendly! We also got 2 bacon egg cheese sandwiches that were really good! We will def b back!

This past weekend, my four daughters who were visiting from Colorado and I went to Billy Joe Coffee because of the great reviews. It did not disappoint. The drinks were delicious , the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and Billy Joe was friendly and provided excellent customer service. I will definitely plan to visit regularly!

EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE WAS WONDERFUL!!! Experience of a lifetime! My first visit and now I'm a lifetime member! This coffee and dessert is hands down the best I've ever tasted!

Hands down THE BEST coffee I drink! I don't know what he does, but Billie DEFINITELY has the CHEAT CODE when it comes to making great tasting coffee and pastries!!! If I didn't live over 15 miles away, it would be a real problem!

First time trying Billie Joe while visiting relatives in Texas. It was excellent! Specialty coffees were superb, the croffles were delicious, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again and recommend!

I was excited to try this place out, but it was sooooo underwhelming. Syrup used in Bella Dulce tastes extremely artificial, the espresso has a weird taste and the pastries are straight from Costco.

Came in for another meal on the road. Super friendly baristas making coffee. Had a hot Whiskey and Cream...really good, and one of thier (what looks like pre-made) breakfast sandwichs...tasted better than it looked. But I wish y'all had a toaster! Will definitely try them again.

While looking for a nice place to calm my nerves after a long family trip, I needed a place to get a nice cup of coffee not too far from the Epic Center. The croffle was great as well as the pleasant atmosphere. The barista offered great recommendations based upon my likes for coffee. The trip was well worth the Lift ride.

So I wanted to try a new Coffee place that was not Starbucks or Dutch. Found this place and it looked great and had really great reviews. It was about 7:30am and the owner was running it at the time and Billie could not be any more amazing. Very down to earth and immediately asked me how I like my coffee and made it like that but better. Eggs sandwich was just incredible the sauce that is in it slaps! It is just amazing. If you want to try a new coffee place with a really nice swag and modern touch to it.. this is your place!

I'm always looking for family owned coffee spots to support. We were in the neighborhood and my Google search recommended Billie Joe Coffee. We had the pleasure to meet the owners. Choose the Mocha Aztec and Icon. They did not disappoint! The Icon was everything I needed in that moment and took everything not to inhale it. Icon is horchata coffee and the Mocha has the right amount of spice. Spot on! Will definitely return. Thank you for the great service! Great location across from IKEA and clean interior.

I love the ambiance of this coffee shop. I had there croffle and the flan. The croffle was literally perfect! Highly recommend. The young men who helped me at counter were amazing as well. I will be returning!

I was satisfied with my Iced Tiramisu Latte with oat milk, and I would definitely return here to study/get work done in the future. My drink was solid - strong enough for the caffeine-dependent and sweet enough to be palatable. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with how clean, bright, and modern the space looked. I don't know how to better describe it, but it had the polished feel of a leasing office or lobby of a luxury apartment complex but with a more homey feel. The music playing was mostly classical/jazz and was a good volume for studying. The bathroom was spotless. The most notable part of my experience was how friendly and sociable Billie and the baristas were during my stay. They really made me feel welcome in their space.

The Cinnamon Roll Iced Latte was delicious! I stopped by one morning since i had some extra time and they were suppose to open at 7am, but i got there at 6:45. I thought, "hmmmm, maybe i should go to starbucks....nah lets try it!" I was happily surprised that he, Billie, made me a drink anyway. I am glad i didnt have to resort to another coffee shop. There are so many options at times, but Billie Joe Coffee is conveniently located right off the service road of President George Bush Turnpike so...yes!! Cant wait to go back. Clean inside and plenty of parking. no drive thru. quick and friendly service!

First walking in I was immediately greeted by the owners and was helped to order some of the most amazing coffee that I have experienced in the metroplex. From the phenomenal hospitality, some of the most amazing coffee, to the delicious looking pastries, comfortable seating, and last but definitely not least the pleasant music turned to the perfect volume to where it's not distracting but also doesn't make the coffee shop silent. This coffee shop is a must try, and an amazing place to work or study. Thank y'all for the amazing experience!

Went to visit this coffee shop for the first time today and was amazed by every aspect! I ordered the avocado toast and it was delicious!!! It was flavorful, fresh, and so delicious. The coffee was also good. The owner was so personable and friendly. He talked to every person as they entered and cleaned up after everyone once they left. They play music while you are in there which makes it's a wonderful place to study. I will definitely be returning!

Billie Joe is the most friendly, welcoming guy! His coffee shop is super clean and modern. The best part-his coffee! Definitely homemade and so much better than you get from commercial companies! Must stop here!
