"The menu is spare and the beer flows freely, before, during, and after the Yankee Games at Billy’s Sports Bar, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There’s a bit of glitz, and TV screens so big it’s a good place to watch the World Series. The classic burger ($14.95) is one of only three, with a quarter-pound Angus patty char-grilled and topped with fresh lettuce, red tomatoes, and sauteed onions. A nest of good fries is included." - Robert Sietsema

Being in Billy's pre-Yankees game felt like I had time traveled back into the Lambda Chi Atrium on a USC gameday. Just straight trench work. The mid EDM mixes are so loud the only way you can have a conversation is to yell in someone's ear, the youthful crowd all dressed in sports memorabilia starting to get loose after their 2nd white claw, the air tangible with mango flavored vape smoke, etc. You can actually get a drink pretty quick which is not the norm at these kinds of places. They got the kinks worked out. Couple $18 tequila sodas high and tight never hurt nobody. It's fun to move through life and get little memories of what your life used to be like. Stare at your past and you'll end up staying there, but it's fun to reminisce every now and then and see how far you've come. It's like inspiring yourself. We stopped in here before the Yankee game on Labor Day. Bar downstairs and up on the rooftop. We actually came for breakfast. Our waitress was very nice and on top of everything. Very clean inside and played lots of great music mixes. Reasonably priced for being so close to Yankee Stadium. The food was good. I got the western omelette on a roll. It barely filled me. Luckily my kids never finish their food. I got to have some crispy delicious fries. Also had sone bites of the sausage egg and cheese. They make it with links not Pattie’s. The best was the breakfast wrap. Eggs, ham, cheese, peppers, onions, tomatoes. Lots of flavor tasted mixed together nicely. Nice spot to eat. Later on is a fun environment for drinks.

Solid place to visit before or after a game. Very big sports bar with a roof option. There isn’t much to set up there but at least you can get great air. The music inside is loud but if you are into that type of bar, it fits the mold and does its job. It has multiple bars and bathrooms to host large parties. Definitely worth a stop.

It was my first time there. The staff was very friendly. The food was good. So was the drinks. I was amazed how big the place was. It seems like it has a great night life there. There is a outdoor bar facing Yankees stadium on the second floor.

I wish I had a chair to watch the game but that’s the price of not paying to go to the game. Thank the lord I didn’t stand on the first floor to get splashed with beers. I love a dj to sound out the game. fun fun fun!

Google
Look, I get it… it’s a sports bar AND I went there during Game 1 of the World Series… but WHAT IS WRONG WITH YANKEE FANS?!?! You have a great location, a HUGE environment to celebrate and watch games with fellow fans - and what do you do? Celebrate good moments equally to bad ones - by throwing beer and ice and bottles onto your fellow fans?! I mean it’s one thing if you are losing, and you’re sharing the venue with an opposing team - BUT YOUR OWN PEERS?! Just trash behavior by everyone with no exceptions. I recommend any of the other local sports bars over Billy’s… cause the fans ruin this place.

Google
This is a great place to go with friends and watch The Yankees and listen to good music. And hang out with the greatest fans in all of Baseball. This is my 2nd night coming back to back and i will be coming back in the future.

Google
The place is huge ! Spacious. My friends and I went for a celebrity performance “R.L” . The drinks were ridiculously priced. For a 4oz cup of margarita full of ice it was $20. Buffalo wings were $27. It was a bit much. Minus the buying experience. The place was nice and the space was perfect for the amount of people that showed up. I would go on a full stomach next time. The wings were nothing special.

Yelp
The one and only an all time classic bar to watch my New York Yankees with my fellow Yankee fans . I love this place it's always a good time coming in here and watching a game , good drinks and a safe atmosphere as there is a whole of security in here . You gotta come in here and experience this atmosphere, it's worth it .

Yelp
Came here before a Yankees game and also a NYCFC opening game day! Had a ton of fun festivities set up to really enjoy and get in the spirit of the sport! Besides that it's a normal sports bar that is huge and loud, not saying that is a negative thing. If you are looking to get pumped up for the game try this place out!

Yelp
They good there the burgers was good and the Buffalo wings was good they had a watch party there too it was nice I enjoyed myself going there great food and good vibe there

Yelp
Imagine coming here after a great Yankees game, buying your 8 friends a round of high noons. Now imagine you put 2 empty cans on an empty table ON AN EMPTY WEDNESDAY NIGHT. Now imagine 6 security guards pulling up to your group and yelling at you for putting 2 empty cans on a table when there is a MINIATURE GARBAGE CAN IN THE VINCITY. That's how my night went, my friends and I left right after. Shout out to the ONE security guard who dapped me up and said it's cool. It's really not that serious, train your staff better.

Yelp
Asked the bartender for a coke and got club soda and when I asked to change she ignored me

Yelp
My group of friends and I visited Billy's before and after a Yankees game after hearing about its popularity. Although there was a line when we first entered, it moves very fast as there is a ton of room inside the bar. To say that I was impressed once entering is an understatement. There were multiple floors with an outside patio area and the place itself had a fun atmosphere with great music and everyone in their Yankees attire. The prices of drinks were pretty typical of the city, with a vodka red bull at $20, but I would definitely recommend Billy's if you are heading to a Yankees game!

Suzanne F.

Yelp
Very over priced. Go here if you want to be in a large, very loud, very crowded room and pay waaaay to much for drinks!!

Macarena H.

Yelp
Cool atmosphere and great music. Definitely recommend to go for pregames. The food was good but nothing amazing, chicken wings were good but they don't come with celery or carrots and the blue cheese sauce was very watery. The mozzarella sticks were good for the price. Very nice staff and quick service.

Vinnie R.

Yelp
Very good for a burger and a few beers before a Yankee game. Great staff and as busy as they can be, they are very efficient.

Yelp
My family and I ate here right before our event started, because honestly it was the only place around that looked good enough to eat in. When we walked in the hostesses we're not friendly and looked as if they didn't want to be bothered. My sister tried to order tacos but wanted one of each kind they had ex. 1 fish, 1 steak, 1 shrimp... But our waitress who seemed as if it was a weird request and denied her order saying "that's not how the order can be done." My sister was willing to pay for each one individually but still was met with push back. We asked to speak to a manager and guess what no manger came to the table. We were already sitting there no orders in, and waiting for a manger for about 20 min. If there was an Applebees closer we would have just walked out and gone there. A new waitress comes over friendlier but still didn't give in to my sisters order. We asked "what happened to the manager?" The waitress replied "he doesn't speak English well and so he didn't come over." Very confused by all of this we place our orders and when the food came we actually thought it was good. This post is simply for the poor customer service in this place. They think because Yankee games go on and people come in all day they can just lack on service to collect their tip. Later while eating we spotted a gentleman with a red shirt... looked like a manager and asked him "could you get us a manger?" He said "yes" then he walks away and still no manager. By the way his English was just fine. We call over our waitress and she informs us that man with the red shirt was the manager... so why did he lie to his customers? He didn't want to deal with the paying customer on the request of having one of each taco available to order. Again the food wasn't bad, your a basic bar food but not disgusting. Long story short the moral of this story is don't make your menus difficult where you can't satisfy a paying customers request. Plus as management don't blatantly lie and pretend your not the manager and never come over to address the issue your customers are having. P.s your taco option should allow for the option of mixing the tacos.

Yelp
Another favorite I've had some good times here before. It was always a favorite on game day. Billy's Sports Bar of course is fun when there's a game. Even if there's not it's still not bad. There's beer and plenty of TVs. Best when there's a game. It would normally get crowded here. There's not much of a crowd now even for the playoffs. Of course it's the time we live in. This would normally be a cool place. Kind of overpriced. Of course it is because of the famous location. It's about $7 for a beer. This is normal for around here. Other bars overcharge like this one so it doesn't get better. This is taking advantage but you should expect it. It has a good atmosphere. It's best when there's a game. This doesn't get much of a crowd now of course but you can still watch sports on TV.

Yelp
We celebrated my daughter's graduation from NYU here yesterday. The bartenders were fantastic! The alcoholic pour per drink was generous. The outside area was very spacious and super fun! I even knew the music. I can't wait to return.

Darren M.

Yelp
Food is pretty good, along with service a tad pricey but worth it.. I would definitely come back. Jamie was our waitress she was awesome

Jennifer D.

Yelp
This is the perfect spot for a pre game or post game drink. They have tons of tvs and the dj is good. The drinks are pricy ($17.50 for a vodka soda) but that's pretty NY standard.

Edward S.

Yelp
First Great space, atmosphere and very very loud music. HOWEVER bring along a bundle of cash. We were there this past Friday. One Heineken bottle beer, one High noon, one Kettle One and Soda (6oz glass and filled with ice) - $43. After the fact the next day and went to Billy's web site - https://www.billysbar.net/menus I saw Beer and hard seltzer's at $8.25 and the Coco Loso - Cîroc Coconut Vodka, Splash of Pineapple Juice for $13 (similar to the Kettle One and soda) Add it up $29.50 + tax ($2.47) ~ $32. When I called Billy's to question this - well the prices go UP when the Yankee are playing. WHAT A RIP OFF. The vodka & soda was $17.50 + tax = $19 in a 6 OUNCE Glass filled with ice. There are NO PRICES POSTED. I really wonder what they are doing is legal. However ALL beware and bring cash. Again great open place, music etc. with high end night club pricing (on Yankee Game Days).

Lexi M.

Yelp
We were looking up bars to visit before the Yankees game and this popped up as a local favorite. I will say the age group is a tad younger, but it was still a great spot to grab a drink. The music is fairly loud and the pricing was high but they had couches, and upstairs, outdoor area and some big screens to watch the game on.

Sam M.

Yelp
Huge bar with a rooftop and loud music . The bartender Shannon was friendly and quick to serve me and my buddies. Good Yankees post game spot before catching the train home.

Vicky M.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this bar on the way to the stadium. I was surprised to see that it was "club" vibes. Huge open area and lots of bartenders along the "L" shaped bar area. They had tables to sit at if you're dining in. Only bad thing is that the drinks were overpriced. One of the bouncers was trying to be "funny", but he just came off as rude and then asked if I didn't have a "sense of humor" when he accused me of not being me bc I was smiling in my DL but not irl. As a person trying to go in the bar, we do not wanna get accused of not being us, so of course I wasn't going to be happy about it. So not a good joke. Other than that, the music was good!

Cat F.

Yelp
The bouncer is rude, Vida, the name of the bartender that served my friend finally after she ignored us for 10 minutes because she was too busy downing tequila shots a the bar, RUDE! They never give an itemized receipt, so you don't see what you're paying for exactly...SCAM AND GARBAGE OF AN ESTABLISHMENT. NO THANKS

Dennis M.

Yelp
Great place to grab a bite to eat for a 1 o'clock game. Breakfast was really good. Not a huge menu but the basics. Staff were friendly and not NYC angry...lol. Just a few minutes walk from gate 6 at Yankee Stadium. Clean and very big inside.

Genevieve V.

Yelp
Solid stop before or after any Yankee game. Their wings are top-notch. And their turkey burger with fries is really good. There are two sides to Billy's, the dive bar side and the club side. Go to the dive bar side if you want a low-key wind up to a game or a low-key wind down before heading home. That's what I find super fun. The younger crowd heads to the club side where dance music plays super loud and there's tons of dancing to be found.

Paul T.

Yelp
I went a few years ago, Bus trip from work with mostly younger kids, met daughter and her friends at Billy's we had a great time. Didn't get to game till second inning. It was a great day and looking forward to doing it again this year.

Caijhmon L.

Yelp
Love this spot before, during and after a Yankees game. Such a great vibe. Definitely recommend checking it out. Food is always great.

Thomas O.

Yelp
The spot u absolutely need to be after Yankee games. Too bad the yanks suck... cashman figure it out

Tom M.

Yelp
We were looking for a place to eat near our hotel and spotted this place. It didn't look like it was open but it was and we were very happy. We started off with some wings and they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I got the Chicken Sandwich which was very good. My friend got the Ton of Fun burger. It looked incredible and judging by how fast he ate it, it was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. If you are near Yankee Stadium, this is a spot to check out.

Philip R.

Yelp
A friend & I stopped in for a couple of pre-game beers before Sunday's Aaron Judge Watch. I was surprised there was room at the bar but that's why we stopped in. Service was fine. $9 Stella drafts are to be expected so I can't say the price was too high. And they were good & cold. Best part of the experience was schooling a pair of 20-somethings on Yankee history. Good conversation.

Jess L.

Yelp
After an awesome win by the Yankees a few weeks ago, I realize I had never actually stayed through to the end of a Yankees game. A friend suggested we check out the sports bars nearby and noted, "It is an experience." We had to go! About a block from the stadium was Billy's. Seven of us were able to stay near the front. The beer selection actually isn't too bad, and I got a pretty decent IPA. The scene at this bar/club is super bro-y and trendy. It is incredibly loud. For some in-bar entertainment, stand by the door and watch the two bouncers let people in - or turn people away and confiscate fake IDs by already drunk people. There are also B&T folks just aiming to get drunker, propping themselves up against the walls on a weekend afternoon. The back is a humongous space where the music is even louder. There's tons of sloppy dancing, mingling, and drinking happening back there. It's a truly amusing sight. So, if you've never been before, perhaps check it out for the entertainment factor, but I would not recommend coming here if you want to hear yourself think.

Kristy R.

Yelp
I hate clubs. I hate club atmospheres. I hate tons of people crowding around. I hate having to elbow my way to the bar. While Billy's looks like a club from the outside (and pretty much the main reason I had never gone inside before) it's really more of a pre-game and/or post-game place to grab a drink, dance a little, and just hang out. My friend and I left the game and wandered inside, since she had been here plenty of times before. Two levels, each with their own bars. A small restaurant area if you're just there to eat. Two restrooms. A small balcony area that overlooks River. It's a SPACIOUS spot with a boatload of potential, I just think they need to work on getting themselves out there. A mixed drink came out to $13, which is steep considering you're in the South Bronx, not Manhattan. Most of the people coming here want to drink prior to the game or after the Yanks win. Charging THAT much makes me want to just wait and drink inside the stadium. I will say this, the drinks are strong and the bartenders are nice. They also have a cell phone charging station at the downstairs bar so the amenities are definitely there. The music was a good mix of 80s, 90s, and today. It was a dreary day outside so not too many people were visiting so those of us who were there kind of had the dancefloor to ourselves. It was also Fleet Week so it was fun to watch the single ladies throw themselves all over these guys. They ended up closing at 7PM because it was so dead - which meant a long wait for the restroom. Luckily they had just cleaned the mens room so I went in there since it was empty. Maybe if they lowered the drink prices and marketed themselves a bit they wouldn't close at 7PM on a holiday weekend?

Arielle P.

Yelp
Bartenders a total cocksucker AND the service sucks but LFG YANKS ~beers and bitches~ ~yankin and batin~

Kimberly G.

Yelp
They didn't have Hennessy or D'usse which is unacceptable. I finally got a tequila and Sprite. It was a tequila and seltzer water. It can't be that hard to make 1 decent drink. I'm going to give them a second chance one day but as of now I'm highly disappointed.

Kait D.

Yelp
Doesn't even deserve one star honestly. Chicken tenders and french fries is always a safe option to order when u haven't been to a place.... But not when it comes to Billy's. If I knew the food was going to be that bad I would have just eat food out the trash...food in a garbage can would have been better than this.

Chris A.

Yelp
Billy's was awesome, I've always wanted to go here before a Yankees game but never had the chance. It's part restaurant with also it being a huge bar and club and also a rooftop bar. Yankees memorabilia everywhere and TVs and music playing. It's a fun place, prices for drinks are up there. Service was good as well. Great pregame spot

Carla M.

Yelp
Came into this bar with a few people we met at the Yankees stadium. The entrance brought you into a typical looking bar area with booths BUT THEN, you walk to the back and there's a high ceiling, open area with a huge dance floor, downstairs bar and upstairs bar. It looked so neat considering I wasn't expecting it. I didn't eat there but I drank . My husband said prices were average. The DJ was not my favorite; he kept mixing up styles and throwing off my vibe-- however this is the first bar I ever been to where the people actually got together and did a Congo line, lots of fun. Lol.

Mike G.

Yelp
Solid bar food and multiple screens to watch games. As a tourist, this is a gem. I would make this bar a game day stop.

Paulette H.

Yelp
I stopped by today for a quick bite and a cocktail. The place had an incredibly strong fragrance in the restaurant that it was overwhelming. I sat at the bar and requested a spicy Bloody Mary- it was perhaps to worst drink ever!!! Watery, extremely spicey and just bad tasting. The fragrance in the restaurant was so strong that I just had to leave. I could not spend another moment and just paid $14 plus for the crappy drink and left. Walked across the street to McDonalds and enjoyed my fries and burger immensely.

Paul D.

Yelp
The best place to go before and after the Yankee game, or anytime you want great music, great cocktails and great people Huge club with lots of big bars, comfy seating and outdoor patio. Great music and DJs. And the drinks are less expensive than across the street at the stadium. Got your buzz on here and then go enjoy the game

Elle B.

Yelp
This place can be a concert hall! It is HUGE! Wasn't expecting this place to be as it was! I kinda thought it was gonna be a dive but boy was I mistaken! Idek where to begin to review this place. It was so crowded pre Yankees game, gets you all hyped up and ready! Didn't eat here altho they have booths where you can sit and eat. I'm just impressed with the size of this place! I didn't get to go all over but they have an upstairs section with a patio and outdoor seating. The music was nice and hyped-gettin wild on the dance floor! Nice bar sections with gorgeous bartenders.... I would definitely recommend ppl come here for the pre and post game festivities and check out all the beautiful peoples!

John V.

Yelp
Great food and drinks. Service is great as well. Highly recommend before and after a Yankees game.

Randall L.

Yelp
Took my id when I am 22 years old and I have a flight back to Tennessee in two days! Worst bouncers I have ever experienced, very disappointed in this bar. Do not recommend to anyone. Drinks are also very watered down and over priced.

Amanda G.

Yelp
We came here to pregame before catching a Yankees game with our friends. There was a large group of us and our friend secured a decent sized lounge space for us upstairs, near the bar and the outdoor patio. It was pretty packed so having a space set up to hang was convenient because I could not see myself pushing my way onto that patio. It was packed and looked claustrophobic which is crazy since it is outdoors. Getting drinks was pretty easy despite how many people were in the place. The bartenders were nice and made strong drinks. Some of the patrons were already hammered before we even walked to the stadium. It is a perfect place if you're pregaming, though. After we finished there, we walked five minutes to get into the stadium and it was easy to navigate. I could see not having that great a time here if you don't have a table so I would suggest reserving a spot ahead of time, especially if there is going to be a large number of people.

Chiara B.

Yelp
Does anyone know how Billy's is with fake ids? I wanna take my sister who is 20 when we see the Yankees this summer but idk if she'll get in. Love Billy's tho

Mabelle L.

Yelp
Came here right before a Yankees/Mets Game. It was super busy but I wouldn't say it was packed to the point where you couldn't walk. The music was loud and it felt like a "club like" environment on a Saturday night 7pm but I'm not complaining. Plenty of bartenders so you're not left waiting forever to place your order, which I like. DJ spinning great music, people of all ages dancing, great vibes overall. The music was SLIGHTLY too loud and I felt like I came out semi-deaf but other than that, it was a fun pre-game spot.

Colette G.

Yelp
AIR CONDITIONED!!!! This is key for those crazy hot Yankees games. Stopped in for some drinks before the game. You have no idea what you are walking into, but hey! It's an adventure! It's huge. Lots of couches and cozy chairs and bistro tables. Huge open area which fills up as it gets closer to game time and then gets super club-ish. Very loud, lots of drunk dancing. But when we got there about 2 hours before the game, was nice. Has upstairs outdoor tiki bar. Even can smoke out there in the corner and nobody says anything! Bonus! Cold beers on ice everywhere. Several bars to service you. We sat upstairs on a cozy couch and people watched. Wildly entertaining. Drinks are crazy expensive, but that's what you get across from Yankee Stadium. Still cheaper than drinks INSIDE the stadium, where they go for your lungs.

Mark D.

Yelp
Had pregame beers before Ithaca v Cortland State football game. Huge bar. Large crowd. Fun time

Natty C.

Yelp
Seriously so over priced and not even worth going to. The outside is so packed where you cannot even move. One drink was $24.

Peter D.

Yelp
After a Yankee game, Billy's is good for the following: -Earsplittingly loud music. -Celebrating a win with other drunken messes. -Dance parties with 30 of your closest co-workers. -A DJ who cuts off every good song a minute in. -A DJ who leaves shitty bands on for the duration. -Wondering where the fuck you are. -Playing that game where you smash your beer bottle on top of someone else's so it overflows. And by playing, I mean avoiding other people until someone literally smashes your bottle, and cuts up your hand on the broken glass. -Bleeding profusely.

Mike G.

Yelp
Surprised there hasn't been an EyeWitness 7 investigation with Billy's. Numerous times I have been charged various prices for the same beer. Ranging from 6-8 especially if not paying by cash. Also have had additional money be left on tips I left when paying with card. When I went to settle it directly was assured everything would be handled and if any issue I would be contacted. (Seems like I'm not the first one to complain that tips were being adjusted without consent) Checked a week later and I was charged EVEN MORE! Awful. Great space yes but awful pricing and practices by the bartenders. Can't imagine management being completely unaware of this. I'm sure many others have had similar experiences
