Bindaas Indian Restaurant Sports Bar & Dukaan - Review - Renton - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Downtown Renton has plenty of sports bars, but an Indian sports bar is something new. Bindaas is part bar, part restaurant, serving everything from the usual wings and fries to saag mutton. And of course, there’s no shortage of TVs, cocktails, and beer, because: sports bar." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Absolutely loved my experience here! I was dining alone, and the staff made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. The food was amazing, especially the new Chatinad Chicken Curry, which I was told I was the first person to try since it’s part of their upcoming menu. It was packed with rich, authentic flavors. The Lassi was refreshing, and the Garlic Naan was perfectly soft and flavorful. The restaurant itself was spotless, very clean, with a vibrant and classy interior design that felt top notch. The atmosphere added so much to the dining experience. The service was excellent. The server was humble, kind, and attentive. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in the area. Highly recommend!

Amazing food, loved the vibe we also got a pineapple mojito as a complimentary drink! Loved it. The only issue i had was with the seating, the concerned person said there is huge group coming so didn’t seat us in the main area of the restaurant and we can only be seated near bar, but the main area had almost all 5/6 approx seats available for two people empty and then a huge table from 12+ people which i thought was for the group. So we didn’t get any seats there and got a seat facing washrooms, didn’t appreciate that at all!!!! And as we left after 1 hr no big group came soooo very disappointed with seating, also how server kept coming 4 times asking is everything okay, i mean thats too much! Pls let us enjoy our food!!!! the food was amazing, loved the chai and chicken tikka! Avocado bhel was my favourite.

We tried Bindaas restaurant today. It has such a vibrant and inviting vibe and absolutely delicious food! We ordered a bunch of small plates and a couple of entrees! Everything was delicious. The cardamom lemonade was so refreshing after all the flavorful bites. We are looking forward to spending time in the sports lounge in our next visit.

The atmosphere was vibrant & lively with good decor and quirky quotes. The service was quick. We had daal- baati, samosa mutter chaat, Malpua and Rabri & The million Dollar Sharbat. Daal Baati & Malpua and Rabri were delicious. The million Dollar Sharbat was refreshing. Samosa mutter was below average. Their menu has unique options. I like how they have beautified even the little things like the bill, a few tables have been modified to rickshaw & the spoon stands at each table. The place was lighted to perfection.

We have been waiting for Bindaas to open and were so excited to see the doors open and people inside. We stopped in and sat at the bar for drinks and to sample the bar/lounge side menu. We had a couple cocktails, both of which were delicious, beautiful, served with flair, and uniquely suited to the menu. The Tamarind Date Margarita was like a kiss and dessert, with a bubble of smoke for ambience. We also had a Blackberry Smash Margarita, but opted to have it made with tequila in lieu of the menu-described vodka—it was still wonderful, rich, and like a farewell to berry season. I also had an oat milk chai, which was an absolute treat on a grey chilly day. Everything we ordered was both thoughtfully plated and as delicious as it was beautiful: Vegetarian Sushi (mango on coconut rice), Chips & Dips, Chicken Wings with curly fries, and the “Mom’s Love” #Sabudana Vada. We will definitely return for the full menu on the restaurant side another day. We loved the chill vibe of the separate bar and lounge area—which would be perfect for a group, a date, or anyone who doesn’t care about the tvs or is more focused on conversation and drinks. The music was honestly popping, the decor is a vibe, and between the sofas in the lounge and the rich navy blue contrasted with the tan cane, it feels more like being in the lounge of a top floor hotel than the ground floor off 3rd in Renton. If it sounds like I’m gushing, it’s because I am. Food: 10/10, Presentation: 12/10, Service and Staff: 10/10, Atmosphere, Decor & Vibe: 15/10.

Google
Tried their Dal Baati and absolutely loved it, such a delicious modern twist on a classic. The Dal Baati Salad on the side was a great touch and really helped cleanse the palate between bites. Also tried the Paneer Tikka, flavorful and well-cooked, though the portion size felt a bit small. Overall the food quality is excellent and definitely worth trying if you enjoy creative takes on traditional dishes.

Google
We came to “Bindaas” Indian restaurant in Renton for lunch and it was an amazing experience from the moment we entered! Delicious food, eclectic menu, innovative decor, nice ambience, indulgent desserts, fun cocktails and drinks. Recommend everyone to try it 😊 especially since it’s so close to home and if you want to try a “not run of the mill” Indian restaurant!

Google
Bindaas is truly a feast for the senses! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by beautifully curated interiors — every detail feels like an art piece. From the handcrafted wooden entrance door to the vibrant rickshaw centerpiece, the upholstered chairs with custom Indian fabrics, and the striking back cushions — the décor alone tells a story of India’s artistic soul. The food is just as exceptional — serving dishes you rarely find elsewhere. The Avocado Mango Bhel was outstanding — the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and fresh flavors. The Kashmiri Kehwa and Phiti Hui Coffee were ideal companions on a cool, rainy evening. Every dish we tried impressed — from the flavorful Indo-Chinese sizzlers and perfectly spiced shammi kebabs to the kid-approved Korean burger. Service was impressively quick, and the staff were warm, attentive, and friendly — adding to the overall charm of the place. At Bindaas, art truly meets food. It’s an experience that delights both the eyes and the palate. We all had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning soon!

Yelp
The vibes are immaculate in here! we came on a Thursday around 3 pm and it was not busy at all but I'm sure it picks up through out the day. When we first came in we didn't see anyone and had to hunt down someone that worked there which took about 2-3 mins lol. Other than that it was smooth sailing. We had the mango / avocado Behl + saag paneer + butter chicken + garlic naan.

Yelp
Visited Bindaas Indian Restaurant recently. The vibe is fun and colorful, with cool wall art and the rickshaw seating that's great for photos. Food was hit or miss: Chicken Chettinad was genuinely tasty and the sabudana vada was good too. Aloo poori and ragda pattice were average and didn't really stand out. One thing to note: the rickshaw seating looks fancy but it's not comfortable if you're tall. I struggled to sit and eat properly. Overall, not great, but fine for a one time visit

Yelp
Phenomenal ambience - takes me back to India with ethnic patterned chairs, cushions and tables. Walls adorned with traditional paintings. Great food. Had aloo paratha with raita . Also packed sabudana vada to go. Great service.

Yelp
From the moment you step inside, it transports you to a world of elegance and warmth. The decor is simply stunning, intricate wall art, and soft ambient lighting. It's the kind of place where you want to linger, soaking in the atmosphere as much as the aromas.to the left is the bar and right side seating had auto rickshaw seating which is new and cool. The Food The variety on the menu looked a little less. Pani puri was good but i did not understand why dahi(yogurt) was a part of it.Shabudana vada was mostly potato flavored than shabudana.but worth trying. The veggie burger was refreshing. Portions are generous, and presentation is thoughtful without being fussy. Service is gracious and attentive, with staff who are happy to guide you through the menu or suggest pairings. Whether you're a seasoned lover of Indian cuisine or trying it for the first time, you'll feel welcomed and well-fed.

Yelp
Cute and quirky decor and interior, a very refreshing and welcoming vibe overall. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was not busy at all. We ordered Eggplant Bruschetta, Daal Baati, Railway Mutton Curry and Naan and Ghee rice. Everything tasted delicious and had a great presentation, we did however had some issues with the Baati from Daal Baati where it felt a bit tough - our Server Shan was kind enough to replace those with fresh ones - note that their Daal Baati is not Rajasthani style, it actually is how its made in MP and is quite different. For drinks we ordered Million Dollar Sharbat - and boy was it exploding with flavours, very refreshing and delicious! Their sizzlers looked very promising however we didn't get to try it this time. Will be back for sure!! PS - we did sit on the Tuk Tuk table but soon realised it was not comfortable, it was a fun experience though!

Yelp
Great food; wonderful service by staff; very cute ambience. There are two parts to this place-- sports bar on one side and cafe (where we went). Decor was super cute. Bright and colorful. There were desi quips printed on colorful posters. There's two tuktuk/ auto rickshaw type tables. Which is insanely and adorably cool. They brought it all the way from India so kudos for the effort and creativity. But beware if you are a petite person. One side of the tuktuk seating has very low seating so you feel like a toddler trying to eat at a high table. Other side is higher and better. But the legroom is limited and can get uncomfortable. I suggest you pose and take pictures, but ask for a regular table. That being said, we didn't mind the discomfort and stuck to the tuktuk table because that was one of the main reasons we went there. Okay coming to food. For starters, we got pani puri, mango and avocado Bhel, and chicken tikka for our group. My favorite was the Bhel-- it was tangy, spicy and had a creaminess from the chopped avocado. Just.. too... good. Pani puri came with a buttermilk as one of the drinks. That was.......unusual. I tried that combo once but wouldn't try again. My drink, the Kashmiri Kahwa was AMAZING. It's a hot tea drink with saffron and almonds. My friends loved their drinks as well; the mango lassi and whipped coffee. Main course we ordered the peas paratha. It was excellent. The salad that came with it had a nice gingery dressing on top which was so fresh and awoke your senses. The owner was there. Very sweet person! Service was wonderful. My only problem is the parking. Because the restaurant in old-town Renton and on a main road, you have to look for street parking.

Yelp
Stopped by for a late lunch on a Saturday was pleasantly surprised I liked everything I tried . To warn you though the quantity is more on the fine dining side so better quality but limited proportion. if you come hungry you will need to bunch of things to feel full . The service was quick and friendly. I like the ambience and music choice was nice too. I will definitely return for trying the dinner menu.

Yelp
Wow... amazing food! Tastes more like ghar ka khana (home-cooked food) than typical restaurant fare. The decor is vibrant, funky, and full of personality--definitely adds to the vibe. First Indian sports bar, huh? Pretty cool concept! Service was quick, and our waiter Jonathan was super friendly. The owner even stopped by a few times to check in--really appreciated that personal touch. We ordered the Sabudhana Vada, Bedmi Puri, Samosa Mutter Chaat, and Daal Bhati--everything was beyond perfect. So fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. We ended with the Rose Kulfi Falooda. Taste-wise? Fantastic. But visually, it didn't quite look like a traditional falooda--usually served in a tall glass, and this was more of a smaller portion. Maybe it could be renamed? Still, it was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Yelp
First time here and had some excellent Indian food. Samosa chaat was very tasty, and the wild salmon curry rice bowl was fantastic. Curry was a bit spicy, which I loved. Huge portions, included a very good salad and the garlic naan was some of the best I've had. Mango lassi was pretty good as well. Menu seemed to have some fusion dishes and other options I may need to try. There was a nice sports bar section but they don't offer the full dinner menu there so we sat in the main dining area. Service was also very attentive.

Yelp
Hidden Gem With a Door to Another World I truly think this spot is a hidden gem! The entrance looks simple with just a tall wooden door, but don't let that fool you. There's a menu posted on the wall outside, which is perfect if you're like me and need time to decide what to order before walking in. We came in for an early lunch and decided to keep it light with two appetizers and coffee. The coffee was listed as "Indian Coffee" : super creamy and smooth, with no bitterness at all. It's not very strong caffeine-wise, so if you like your coffee with a little extra kick, definitely ask them to make it strong. Since it was my first time trying an Indian restaurant and I didn't know much about the different dishes, we asked the server for recommendations. They were patient and helpful in explaining everything, which I really appreciated. (It would be even better if the menu had photos : it'd help newcomers like me visualize what to expect!) What We Tried: Pani Puri Trio - Recommended by our server and such a fun experience! You fill each crispy shell with the paste and your choice of flavored water, so every bite tastes different depending on your combo. It's interactive, light, and definitely photo-worthy. Chicken Tikka - Grilled perfectly with a little char, and the green sauce balanced it beautifully. Tender chicken, smoky flavor, and a pop of freshness from the veggies -- a great starter dish. Even though we only ordered two appetizers and coffee, it totally hit the spot for a small craving. The only thing I'd tweak is the timing : it took a bit to get our order in and to receive the check, probably because we came right after a large party group. But overall, the staff was super kind and took the time to explain the dishes and make sure we enjoyed our visit. Before leaving, we noticed there's a bar area on the other side of the restaurant : colorful, cute, and surprisingly fancy! We're already planning to come back for that next time. Walking out through that tall door honestly felt like stepping back from another world. one full of color, flavor, and warmth.

Yelp
Fun addition to Renron. Came here for dinner and had a couple of small plates. We ordered the Fatt Pundit (naan with trio of butters), ahi sushi stack, shammi kabobs (spiced lamb on mini naan, and drink were the Aashiq & Espressso Creme Brulee. We did grab some lassi shooters from the cafe window afterwards. Tasty bites and service was very nice and attentive. Gorgeous interior for the restaurant and big space on the bar side for groups.

Yelp
This restaurant has it all- ambiance, food, and great service! The space is decorated with a hip vibe that reminded me of the fun restaurants I visited when in India. They have multiple hand painted murals, two tuktuk tables, and so many other fun and beautiful elements. They also have a more swanky bar, for an elevated cocktail! We started off with the Milion Dollar Sharbat. My husband said "oh, this brings so many memories of home (in India). It's one of those drinks with layered flavors that hit at during and after. So refreshing! The Methi Dana Aloo Sabzi had a rich flavor and was very homey. We were excited to see Dal Batti on the menu, as we haven't seen this anywhere in the US. It was so tasty my husband finished most of the daal before I could get enough for my last Batti. My favorite from dinner was the Sabudana Vada! Crispy outside texture with the warm chewy center- PERFECTION! We finished off our meal with the Rose Kulfi Falooda. My husband said he was only going to take a bite, but it was so good he took more than half! Creamy with perfect amount of pistachio, and the vermicelli was the best complimentary addition. The staff were also very friendly and made sure our time was great from start to finish. We're so excited to have this gem in Renton and can't wait to get back!

Yelp
Absolutely loved my experience at Bindaas! Happened to find out about this location after the farmers market with some friends and we were incredibly impressed in all aspects! The atmosphere is both exciting and modern yet able to pay homage to India in some beautifully done ways. Tables converted from tuk-tuks, the embroidery being manufactured in India, the owner even told us the woven baskets used for light shades were procured from her neighbor when she lived in India, and the golden cutlery containers on each table were family heirlooms from her great grandmother! It is clearly evident how much thought and energy and love was put into this location! THEN THE FOOD! We got a ton of shareables for the table: the chip and dip plate was delightful, with 4 different sauces that sparked a passionate debate about which was best. The butter naan plate was delicious with 3 different butters that started another debate, and the kebabs we split left us wanting to order another round. For drinks we ended up getting two N/A beverages: a mango lassi, a cocolatta, and one 21+ drink called "Aashid" that was floral and so tasty, I cannot rave about enough it! We honestly forgot to take pictures we were so excited to dive into our food and drinks, so you just gotta trust me, it looked just as good as it tasted! The overall service was incredible with great energy and were very attentive any time we needed assistance, they were on it! We definitely will be coming back soon! I even heard they recently opened up an attached bar and I can't wait to check it out! I hope this place has all the success in the world, at minimum they at least earned a loyal customer today!

Yelp
My friend and I went to Bindaas for lunch on a weekday. Not many customers at the time for such a large place. There are a couple tuktuk little motorcycle taxis common in India that were converted to tables. Cute idea. Both were occupied. My friend got there before me. He ordered a beer from India and an appetizer. I don't know the name but it was very good. Unusual chips and 4 kinds of sauces to dip in. I had a great lager, also from India. It was my friend's first time eating Indian food. He ordered butter chicken which he liked. The waiter, probably a co-owner, wanted me to try the paneer tikka. Both dishes were "rice bowls" and came with delicious naan and a very good salad. Paneer is a cheese like protein. Similar to tofu because it doesn't have a lot of flavor of its own. The sauce was similar to the butter chicken sauce. A little spicy. Very tasty. I wouldn't mind returning to Bindaas. Indian cuisine isn't my favorite and I wouldn't eat it on a regular basis. However it is a great change of pace. I recommend you try this place.

Yelp
Great vibe, fun art and cute areas. We sat at in the bar area and had a few light bites (tempura and tacos). I'll definitely be back. I love all the fun new restaurants opening in DTR (downtown Renton).

Kamran R.

Yelp
Tasty food (chicken tikka especially), very cool and interesting decor and art, and service was good. Staff was caring. I don't know if I would go back, though, but that might be more of a "me" thing as opposed to the restaurant. The reason being is, I am to a degree, a value diner - in the sense that if I am paying a certain amount of $, I do expect to not leave hungry. For some reason, the railway mutton and the saag mutton were super bony - like it felt like more bone than meat. What would have made it a 5 star experience is if the mutton had more meat than bone. I would even be happy to pay a premium for more meat than bone. Also, the fountain soda seemed a little pricier than usual. Maybe I'm unaware as for the reason for that, but $7 seemed kind of steep. The chicken sizzler platter could be improved...it was like $24, and had fried rice, a few egg rolls, French fries, and like 3 chicken wings. It would be nice if it had more chicken/meat. Take my review with a grain of salt. It's a good restaurant, but perhaps just not for me because I don't like leaving hungry.

Yelp
Wanted to give a shout out to *Bindaas*- it's a fun, positive vibe, unique decor restaurant with a wonderful curated menu which is a mix of authentic Indian and Indian inspired choices in food and beverages My friends and I had dinner there yesterday and the customer service was amazing I'm also very happy to say that the owner is a Bellevue based Indian woman who makes exceptional Daal! We ordered Daal Bati, sabudana wada, avocado mango bhel, paneer tikka and some fun beverages and all dishes were tasty. Yet the daal that came with Daal Bati was truly amazing!

Yelp
What a cute new spot in downtown Renton! I love the 2 in one with one side of the restaurant colorful and bright with retro seating, while the other is a classy sports bar. Everything I tried on the menu was delicious! I didn't even know there were other Lassis besides a mango lassi! The pineapple ginger did not disappoint! we also had the tandoor chicken and eggplant bruschetta. I definitely want to go back and try more items. The staff were all friendly and energetic.

Monkey B.

Yelp
I haven't had food this good in years. It's what I knew Indian food could be vs what I typically am served at other places. Bindaas' food was flavorful, it was awake, it was beautifully presented. I'll return.

Gwen D.

Yelp
I ordered butter chicken. The portions were generous. The staff was helpful. The price was good. The ambiance was clean and bright. I love the rickshaw tables In the dining room. The food was beautifully presented. Everything was perfectly seasoned. It was spicy without being too hot. Try the hummus appetizer. Those sun dried tomato pita bread things were amazing. I can't wait to go back and try something else. The menu was a little confusing but the staff patiently answered all our questions. When the food came out it looked so good that I took a picture..that is something I NEVER do. It tasted as good, or better than it looks.

S F.

Yelp
Someone told me this place had butter chicken so I thought I'd give it a try. It wasn't very busy. I ordered the butter chicken. It was $22 at lunch. I thought that was pricey. It did come was salad, rice and naan which made the price more reasonable. The chicken was chewey and there was a tartness to the sauce I didn't like. I will probably go back someday but I would get something else.

Yelp
Craving Indian street food with a cool vibe. This is the place. The Murals and the decor is very unique, the menu has many vegetarian and vegan items. The drink options are very creative. Food and service were both awesome. The owners were there to greet and answer any queries, shows their pride in the place. Love Love Love the decor.

Yelp
We ate here last night and it was delicious! We ordered the dinner for two with butter chicken and it was perfect. Plenty to fill both of us up, plus some to bring home to enjoy later. Service was great and I loved the decor inside - the teal chandeliers the door and the plants hanging from the ceiling. Plus there were two car tables you could sit in! We will definitely be back!

Samakshi K.

Yelp
Had a good experience dining here friendly service and ambience, interesting Indian food menu items bit pricey though, great presentation and liked what we had ordered. Recommended

Shubhi D.

Yelp
Today we thought to try bindaas and ordered daal baati, vegetarian sizzler platter and 2 drinks (lemonade & The million dollar sharbat) & everything came out so so well. I highly recommend Bindaas. The only thing I find tricky is parking.
google avatar

Ciera C.

Yelp
This place is so tasty! Loved the drinks (extensive drink menu), wide range of appetizers, and really good entrees.

Lan H.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff was very attentive. We came with 3 toddlers but there was only 1 high chair, we made it work but definitely not ideal for dining with a toddler on your lap. We ordered: Pani puri trio-delicious but the water for the dish vs filling vs puffs was off Chip n dips- the chutneys were flavorful but hard to pick up any sauce with the hard chips Shammi kabobs-tasty and very mini as stated 2 orders of Saag mutton-flavor was on point! The lamb however was extremely tough and lots of bone compared to meat for the prices we were paying. The meat was so tough that it was almost impossible to chew through and the sauce has a bunch of bone fragments in it so we were constantly spitting bone out while eating our rice. Not sure if I'd order it again in the future. Total cost $170 for 4 adults + 3 drinks They're fairly new so hopefully they'll improve some of their dishes in the future.

Steven B.

Yelp
Food, service, everything was great. Love this place, the service was top notch. I appreciate the everything about this place tonight.

S S.

Yelp
This is such a wonderful addition to the Renton/South Seattle area. Food is high quality, flavors are complex and genuine. The decor is above and beyond relative to anything nearby. The walk up dessert & chai window is such a treat, I hope it gets constant action. When we visited the bar /lounge had not yet opened. It looks like the fanciest bar around by leaps and bounds. Come one come all, support this ambitious small business and all the richness it has to contribute to lovely downtown Renton!

Navjot S.

Yelp
Food was decent. Ambience is good. Service is pretty fast. But the price doesn't justify the food taste.

Nandakumar M.

Yelp
A unique designer dining experience. The place is a bright addition to DTR which is already a vibrant community and place to hang out. Bindaas boasts of an Indian restaurant, sports bar and a cute little shop or "dukaan". The food is extremely delicious and well presented. A very unique and delicious spread that is priced well with generous portions. The service is personal, the hosts great you and go to great extent to make sure that you are comfortable with the food choices.

Carter F.

Yelp
The decor is creative and fun , the drinks also creative and fun , and every thing was delicious.

Niki F.

Yelp
Atmosphere was 10/10 Food was awesome Really fun to have a spot like this downtown. Will definitely be going back!

Art T.

Yelp
Love the food and service. The tandoori tacos, naan and wings were delicious. I'd come back for the food. But the drink prices were ridiculously expensive. $12.50 for a well vodka soda is Bellevue prices. 3 bars within 1 block charged $5.00 to $7.00 for the same well drink. This is supposed to be a sports bar. But they don't have Mariners channel.

curtis m.

Yelp
The food is excellent, drinks are good and the space is beautiful. This is not your cliche Indian restaurant. There are of course some regular curry dishes, but you also have food that is out of the ordinary. It is so good to have this place in downtown Renton.

Kimberley D.

Yelp
This gem just opened last week. We ordered the Pani Puri, butter chicken, shammi kebab, and Aloo Paratha. Everything was superb. Service was excellent and the ambiance was beautiful with everything made in India. Nice to have another excellent Indian restaurant in the area. We will definitely go back!

Dhruv M.

Yelp
great ambience, great staff, great hosts and really awesome food. if you are looking for authentic Indian food, this is the place to go.
