Second time visit today... From what we ordered, the worst one was Mie Goreng. It didn’t taste like mie goreng at all. The dish came out look like Pad Thai, it tasted like egg noodle with peanut butter spread all over. I will not recommend this dish at all. Chicken wings were okay only, nothing special.
Bingo tea, PLEASE CHANGE your music selections in your restaurant!!!!
It’s not kids/family friendly at all, with the F-bomb, B-word and all the cursing words you can imagine. We went to your restaurant to enjoy our family time together. I can’t recommend your restaurant to my friends with children... Too bad!!! The food is good, but the songs are not appropriate at all!!
===============================
We usually go to the Bingo Tea in Chinatown Chicago. This time we tried the one in Argyle solely because they serve Malaysian food. We grew up in South East Asia and there are not many authentic South East Asian restaurants in Chicago area. The famous one is probably Penang.
Anyway, we looked at the menu... there were so many things that we were tempted to order. Since our stomach space was limited, we decided to order 3 dishes only (dry wonton noodle, nasi lemak and char kwe tiao). All of the dishes that we ordered were very good and very tasty. I have to say it’s quite authentic... surprisingly.
My favorite one is the Char kwe tiao, it had the “wok hei” and a bit kick on it. Another good one is the dry wonton noodle. The egg noodle was crunchy and tasty, the dumplings were fried. They were so good.
Overall:
Food: 5stars
Menu: 5stars
Price: $-$$
Service: 5stars
I highly recommend this restaurant whether it’s for the drinks or for the Malaysian food.
