Bingsheng Taste

A great meal in beautiful cosy settings. We booked a room for a group of 11 and got to try out many dishes. Everything was superb, cooked with finesse and tasted so delicious. The soup iberico pork and chicken soup was hearty and loved the pcs of linzhi inside. The famed crispy char siew had a tender full layer of fat which melts in your mouth. Amongst others we also had a varied selection of must haves including the polo bun which was huge and had bits of pineapple inside. Their yu sang was really different from what they had in Malaysia, a different experience, more like sashimi mixed with various sauces and condiments. I think perhaps should skip this as it cannot beat what Malaysia and Singapore’s version. Oh and the clay pot rice with burnt rice and brinjal is a must have too. Ambiance is great and so is the service.

What we ate:- · 黑松露脆皮文昌鸡 (Black Truffle Crispy-skin Wenchang Chicken): A luxurious twist on a classic. The chicken skin is expertly roasted to a perfect, glass-like crispness, while the meat remains tender and juicy. It's generously topped with fragrant black truffle shavings, adding a deep, earthy aroma. · 沙茶肉糟啫云南扁豆 (Satay Minced Pork with Yunnan Flat Beans in a Hot Pot): A hearty and savory dish. The minced pork is stir-fried in a rich, slightly spicy satay sauce. It's served sizzling in a hot pot with crunchy Yunnan flat beans, creating a wonderful contrast in textures and a mouthwatering aroma. · 砂锅豉香秋葵啫鱿鱼筒 (Claypot Squid Tubes with Okra in Fermented Bean Sauce): This claypot dish is full of wok hei (the "breath of the wok"). The squid tubes are springy, the okra is slightly sticky, and both are coated in a pungent, savory sauce made from fermented black beans, garlic, and chili. · 招积茄子 (Zhaoji Fried Eggplant): A signature Bingsheng dish known for its clever technique. The eggplant is double-fried to achieve an incredibly crispy, golden shell that almost shatters, while the inside becomes meltingly soft and sweet. The name "Zhaoji" is said to be old Cantonese slang for "proud" or "show-off," perfectly describing its standout texture. AND to go with · 白米饭 (Steamed Rice) was the essential staple, a simple yet perfect counterpoint that balanced the meal's rich sauces and bold flavors.

Bingsheng Taste or Bingsheng Mansion I believe that Bingsheng Mansion has the best crispy pork I’ve ever had in my life. The crispiness exceeds expectations and practically melts in your mouth. Bingsheng Mansion is the most premium branch among all the Bingsheng locations, both in terms of quality and price. I recommend trying their claypot dishes—the crispy rice at the bottom adds a wonderful texture, and the aroma is irresistible. If i have a chance i would like to try dim sum as well. This is worth a visit, i'm so happy that i have found this restaurant.

This review is for the more expensive Bingsheng Mansion. It came Michelin recommended. The location, top of the tower, and the ambience are top notch. You are taken to one of their many small rooms with four or five tables and staff of their own. The service as you can expect is exceptional. The food is mostly great, some dishes are only OK. The pork chaishu was yummy, better than beef. The vegetarian soy noodles were soft and good. The vegetables with mushroom was OK. Tea looks great with yellow flowers, but taste was only OK. Their menu was massive.

A luxury restaurant with one Michelin star. Located on the 4th floor, there are waiters on standby on the 1st floor.

Service was excellent. We didn't speak any Mandarin, but they brought someone that spoke great English and was really attentive, recommending some great options. We loved the bbq meat platter and the pineapple buns were a unique experience (in a good way).

There are TWO Bingshengs in this same building. One called Bingsheng Taste and the other Bingsheng Mansion. They each have their own entrance. Both have equally grand receptions, as well as similar decors and furnishings. As far as we can make it, Bingsheng Mansion has more dimsums and a slightly smaller a la carte menu. This review is for Bingsheng Mansion. We ordered a mixture of six dimsums and small dishes, plus two desserts. The quality was average at best, and two were downright poor. The bill came to that of Hong Kong Michelin restaurants, which was way, way above similar restaurants in the area in Guangzhou. The roast pigeon, for example, was ¥68, but it was for a half pigeon (!) and must be ordered in pairs. Our roast pigeon came to ¥136, more than twice than the one we had nearby the following day, just as good. We would NOT recommend this restaurant at all. The area is surrounded by equally grand-looking restaurants offering comfortable seating, good service, and good food for less than half the price.

Great place for lunch or dinner , expected very high end food quality taste , but it was just good. But service is really a top level, staffs really nice looking and very professional. A must try . Tea excellent.
