so happy that there is finally a filipino restaurant in chinatown. the menu had many classic dishes that i would find at woodside. the meal started with a complimentary soup, which was tasty and paired well with the peanuts and dried fish that were provided for the table. our menu highlights included: chicken adobo, crispy string beans, pork sisig, and ginataang kalabasa. we were also celebrating a birthday and we brought our own cake but they provided one of those fun sparkler candles! definitely a good place to celebrate an occasion.

Everything was delicious omg. Every vegetable was cooked perfectly (amazing)!!! And each dish tasted unique and was seasoned well (at other restaurants, all dishes can kinda taste the same.) My family loved the sisig (not pictured) and the huge halo halo of course (all the toppings were perfect.) The char on the vegetables in the kare kare was chefs kiss. Thank you Kabisera for your food at BINONDO !!! <3 I can't wait to go back and bring more people.

Had a wonderful time here right after our quick marriage ceremony nearby. The food was incredible, beautifully presented, and lovely service. The homemade bagoong was unforgettable; I still cannot believe how delicious it was. The pork humbanado was melt in your mouth tender with just the right level of sweetness, and the pinakbet vegetables were cooked perfectly with a delicate flavor. The star of the meal was the Krispy Kare Kare. The sauce had an ideal consistency, the peanuts arranged around it almost like a little beach, and the plating was a true showstopper. I love seeing how Filipino cuisine continues to evolve and reach new heights, and Binondo is definitely part of that exciting growth. It is a bit on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it, especially for a special occasion.

We recently had dinner at Binondo in NYC Chinatown, and it turned into one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday, but I didn’t expect anything special — I just wanted a good meal. Instead, we were treated to an evening that felt genuinely heartfelt from start to finish. We arrived around 5:45pm, and the restaurant was still quiet, with only a few guests seated. The uncle who greeted us was incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive, setting the tone for the entire evening. As dinner service went on, the restaurant quickly filled up — by 7pm it was bustling and nearly at capacity, which speaks volumes about how beloved this place is. For drinks, we ordered the sago’t gulaman and the kalamansi juice, both refreshing and delicious. Before our entrees even arrived, we were served complimentary roasted peanuts and anchovies, along with a comforting soup that immediately took us back to classic Filipino home cooking. For dinner, we ordered the Chicken Tinola, Pork Sisig, and Pancit Negra (plus added lechon kawali on top). Every dish was fantastic, each in its own way: ⭐ Chicken Tinola — 10/10 This was easily one of the best versions of tinola we’ve ever had. Instead of the usual bone-in chicken, theirs is deboned, rolled, and deep-fried — a technique known as roulade, which gives it a beautiful texture and presentation. At the table, uncle poured the hot, aromatic broth over the roulade, and the result was absolutely divine. Light, flavorful, comforting — a perfect dish. ⭐ Pork Sisig — 9/10 The sisig was served sizzling, and uncle finished it table-side, pouring the sauce and mixing everything together right in front of us. It had great flavor and richness, though we wished it had a touch more citrus — a squeeze of calamansi would have brightened it up to a full 10/10. Still very delicious, and a must-try. ⭐ Pancit Negra — 10/10 Outstanding. The noodles had that unmistakable wok hei flavor, perfectly cooked with just the right amount of chew, and seasoned beautifully. We added lechon kawali on top, which was good, but honestly the pancit negra stands strong on its own. One of our favorites of the night. For dessert, we tried the Turon Special and the Ube Tikoy with ice cream (from their seasonal menu). Both were fantastic, but the tikoy in particular stole the show — crispy, chewy, warm, cold — all the good contrasts in one plate. We also ordered a hot Barako coffee with dessert — dark, rich, and bold. It was the perfect way to cut through the sweetness of the turon and tikoy, and such a comforting finish to the meal. And then… the surprise. Remember how I mentioned it was a birthday dinner? The staff went all out and rolled out a full celebration — complete with an EDM version of “Happy Birthday” blasting through the speakers, a sparkler, and the entire restaurant singing along. The joy, the energy, the laughter… it was impossible not to smile. My wife was beaming, and honestly, so was everyone else. It wasn’t just dinner — it was an experience, and one we’ll never forget. If you’re in NYC and want heartfelt service, amazing food, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like family, Binondo is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a fantastic dinner for our group of 7. Thank you so much to Chef Augee and team for the delicious food, drinks, and hospitality. A truly a wonderful addition to Chinatown. You expertly balanced the traditional flavors we love as a Filipino American family and you brought a newness to dishes that delighted even my Mom and my very discerning Tita’s. Our favorites were the Pancit Negra, Crispy Pork Kare Kare and the Special Halo Halo. There was not one complaint from our group. The joy and laughter from our table was only matched by our deafening silence when we were all stuffing our faces with your incredible food - sarap! We left with happy bellies and can’t wait to come back to try more of the menu.

Google
This is not your typical Filipino food — they definitely put some twists into their dishes. We tried four items from the menu: Beef Kare-Kare, Lumpiang Shanghai, Pork Sisig, and Beef Ampalaya. The highlights for us were the Lumpiang Shanghai and the Beef Ampalaya, both of which we enjoyed. On the other hand, the Kare-Kare didn’t quite hit the spot; it was on the dry side, not the usual soupy style we expected, and it was lacking vegetables. While the presentation was nice, the overall quality wasn’t there. As for the Sisig, it had more onions than meat, which threw off the balance. That said, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the dining experience more enjoyable. I can’t speak for the rest of the menu since these were the only dishes we tried, but based on our experience, it was a bit of a mixed bag.

Google
I was very excited to try this place. Unfortunately, the food temp was only "warm". The soup came out "warm". It was a cold night--I wanted a HOT soup! The rest of the food also just came out warm. We ate everything anyway because the food tasted good. The temp was just sad. I am willing to give them another chance because I want to support them and I genuinely enjoyed the taste of the pancit. Also, the drinks were 😋

My first time trying Filipino food turned out to be a wonderful experience! The place was spacious, clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! The portions were generous, and everything We had today was so tasty. I’d love to come back and try the whole menu—next time, I’m definitely bringing more friends!

Yelp
Finding reservations for groups of 10+ can sometimes be difficult in NYC, but not at Binondo! We were looking for a place to host a large friend reunion, and preferablly not be tied to putting a credit card down to reserve. We found Binondo and took the risk. I'm so glad that we did, because this could not have been a more perfect spot! Located in the heart of Chinatown, they serve delicious Filipino food. While I'm not too familiar with Filipino cusine, I can thorougly say I enjoyed every bite! Our group decided to do family style so we opted for multipe orders of the Chicken Adobo, Bok Choy, Pork Sisig, Canton Guisado, and Vegetarian Fried Rice. Egg Drop Soup (complimentary)- unique and different from your typical egg drop soup, but very soothing and comforting. The Chicken Adobo- soft, tender, and included quail eggs! Bok Choy- tasted fresh with small garlic bits and umami from the oyster sauce. Pork Sisig- fun interactive appetizer cooked tableside. Canton Guisado- bouncy noodle dish packed with flavor. We got this with the pork belly which was melting in our mouths! Vegetarian Fried Rice- standard fried rice, but perfect compliment to any meal. Binondo also has a full bar, so I got the Ongpin- which tasted like an ube pina colado. Honestly, while the food was incredible, I was just blown away with this drink. I would come back again and again just to have this one drink. Overall, 5/5 experienice, especially for large group dinners at an affordable price!

Yelp
This is my favorite Filipino spot in the city that serves dishes I grew up with; literally the dishes my family would make on daily basis or for parties. My favorites here are the chicken tinola, beef kare kare, pancit negra, and turon. However, everything is amazing. Let's not forget the house apps that you get -- fried anchovies and small pandesal. Those are timeless snacks that you can find in any Filipino household, especially when there are guests coming over. I love the chicken tinola because its nostalgic for me, taking me back to days of being sick and being taken care of by my Lola or dad. Besides arroz caldo, this was in the kitchen. The beef kare kare is just a dish that makes me smile all the time. The subtle taste of peanut, the thick stew, the hint of bagoong (shrimp paste)... just perfection. Pancit is just our stir fried noodle that is light and hearty at the same time. It never gets old!!!! I never had it with pusit (squid) before trying it here... and now I'm hooked. Of course, I had to get my favorite dessert here which is TURON. Turon is my favorite Filipino dessert (caramelized plantains in a fried egg roll wrapper). Chef Augee and her team do such a great job with presentation, elevating Filipino cuisine to a fancier level, and yet still maintaining the tradition of our food and culture.

Yelp
Great place for Chinese Filipino food! Got the pancit and chicken inasal to share with a friend. The pancit is definitely one of the best pancits I've had. Great noodle texture and very flavorful. The chicken inasal was juicy, charred, and so so so flavorful. The lemongrass really came through. They also serve the table with peanuts and dried anchovies. Delicious! Place itself is very pretty, great for friends or a more casual date but in a nice restaurant.

Yelp
Found this place in the middle of China town. The waiter was very nice. The food was good. The sisig bites weren't quite what we were expecting, but they were OK. The chicken insasal was very big and plentiful.

Yelp
I can't tell you the names of each dish as we asked the chef to surprise us and what a tasty surprise it was! This was my first time at a Filipino restaurant. The biggest thing for me was the seasoning was perfect on every dish! We arrived for an early dinner, definitely before the dinner rush. We were there for a good many hours but they never rushed us. We did finally leave when we saw a line hovering by the door. Place and plating feel upscale but taste is homey! Definitely give it a try!

Yelp
Fantastic filipino spot for a family style meal. We ordered almost everything and my favorites were definitely the squid ink rice and the adobo. The desserts were also so so good and I loved the atmosphere and warm environment.

Yelp
Hard to believe that after growing up in New York, this was my first time dining in a Filipino cuisine restaurant. Conveniently located on East Broadway in Chinatown, this place is fairly new. Our server was patient and very efficient. He brought us the soup and appetizers that were to be included at no extra charge as we were still looking at the menu to yet to order. I liked the seasoned anchovies, crispy. The soup was pumpkin based with a subtle taste and the petite bowl was gratis. I like that we were treated to cold lime infused water as we were seated. The sausage on rice had a hint of sweetness, not a bad thing. It was very good on sticky garlic rice. My favorite was the crispy pig on vermacelli. Really tender, unlike any I have had before. Crispy is the word. All in all we were glad to have something different from the usual Chinese and Vietnamese fare. The interior was sleek and "Smooth Operator" playing over the loudspeaker.

Yelp
If you're a fan of Filipino food this one is worth the visit. The prices are not bad considering it is in Manhattan. Friendly service, great ambiance, and the food was good. I'm still thinking about the ube dessert. But the sisig was good and the soup. They really thought about presentation which I appreciate.
google avatar

Shana C.

Yelp
The service and most of the food was great, but we were very disappointed by the crispy pork kare kare. I'd go again to give them another chance, but it fell far below my expectations.

Yelp
Masarap (delicious!!). Filipino-Chinese inspired food in a modern ambiance. Lots of tables and takes reservations. Ordered the lumpia Shanghai, sisig bites, pancit Negra (black - squid ink), fish and chicken adobo. They gave a complimentary soup too. Everything felt like an elevated home experience w exceptional service / presentation and Filipino hospitality . Great for groups and special occasions. Can't wait to come back with the fam and try desserts - we were way too full.

Yelp
Binondo, which is Manila's own Chinatown, is a Filipino-Chinese eatery that had recently opened. We've come here for lunch, and was recently brought here by friends while visiting - reservations were made in advance, and we were seated promptly once we arrived. We started off with: +the Lumpiang Shanghai - deep-fried spring rolls filled with ground pork, carrots, scallions, seasoning, and egg +Shumai - steamed chicken dumplings, served with housemade sauce; you can also opt for the pork version; comes with 4 pieces +Sisig Bites - reverse seared pork belly, onions, and chilies, seasoned with mayo, soy sauce, and lime; comes with 2 pieces +Mayon Volcano - fried shrimp dressed in a spicy mayo dressing +Spicy Green Beans - stir-fried with garlic and chili paste Note that everyone receives a complimentary 'panimula' - this consists of egg drop soup, an in-house baked bread, toasted peanuts, and sweet chili dilis. For our mains, we ordered: +the Beef Salpicao - cubed beef flank with garlic, oyster sauce, butter, and mushrooms +Chili Butter Shrimp - fried seasoned marinated shrimp sauteed in butter +Kare-Kare Beef - stew with a thick peanut sauce, eggplants, string beans, and bok choy +Lechon Kawali - fried pork belly, served with a housemade liver sauce +and, the Paksiw Sa Gata - steamed hamour fish with vinegar and coconut Overall, the food was just okay - the concept seemed interesting, but the flavors were missed. Portions were generous and easily shareable within our larger party. Service was friendly, and the space is modern-like, with an open kitchen. +reservations accepted +friendly service

Yelp
Love the sisig so much! They even gave us free soup... which super flavorful and comforting. The ambiance and service are amazing too. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Fantastic place for Filipino food, which was tasty. We ordered all of the classics like pancit bihon, lechon, kaldareta, and garlic fried rice. The drinks were amazing visually and taste-wise. Our favorite was the Ongpin. Service was friendly and atmosphere relaxed. I'll definitely be back for more!

Yelp
INCREDIBLE food, LOVELY ambience, AMAZING service. the complimentary egg drop soup and fresh bread were incredible, and both of the main dishes I tried knocked my socks off. I tried the Crispy Kare-Kare and the pork was succulent and perfectly cooked, a generous portion, with delicious roasted vegetables and a creamy peanut sauce. I also tried the Pork Sisig and it was not only delectable, flavorful and exciting, the presentation of it was cool! brought out on a sizzling hot plate with an egg mixed in and cooked before your eyes!!! finally I finished the meal with the Turon Fried Banana Spring Rolls, accompanied by a perfectly textured flan, ube ice cream and some fresh fruit. incredible all around!

Yelp
Went to find this place to eat at 9pm and we went in and they told us they were close and dismissed us when the website should have said they will close at 11pm.

Allison W.

Yelp
We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and were seated near the cash register and kitchen, which made the seating feel awkward. When we were ready to order, we were informed that the restaurant had run out of pork, which makes up about one-third of the menu. After finding alternatives, it took around 15 minutes to get a server's attention, as there were only two waitresses and the restaurant was busy. We ordered beef kare-kare, pancit bihon with cubed beef, and chicken inasal. Our food did not arrive until 7:40 p.m., and during that time, we were mistakenly served another table's dishes twice. About 30 minutes after placing our order, a server came by to confirm it, which suggested that our original order had been forgotten. Several tables seated after us received their meals before we did, while the table next to us, which arrived earlier, had received their food, finished eating, and paid before ours even came out. The pancit bihon arrived first without the beef cubes, and the waitress informed us they had run out. The dish was acceptable in taste but overly oily. While waiting for the remaining dishes, we considered canceling since we had already been there for over an hour and a half, but the waitress assured us the kitchen was working on them. The beef kare-kare and chicken inasal were both mediocre in flavor and also too oily. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant at this time. If you still plan to visit, I suggest going earlier in the day when they are less busy and better stocked with ingredients.

Yelp
We were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations. The portion sizes were generous, and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The soup and biscuits are on the house, and both taste. I order wrong thing by mistake they give it to us for free

Yelp
This restaurant gives good reason to visit the area. Every plate demonstrates kitchen standards. The people serving us knew the menu well. This place creates a setting worth extra time. This eatery shows attention to detail.

Evelyn T.

Yelp
Modern Filipino food, good-size portion and presented really well. Had the crispy pork kare-kare and squid-ink pancit noodles; both dishes are delicious! Also had their halo-halo, shareable, did NOT disappoint. Staff is super friendly, will be back to try other menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
They've turned me into a loyal customer. The staff exceeds expectations with tasty, moderately priced dishes. The team ensures everyone feels welcome. The food here tastes wonderful and the service impresses. This venue demonstrates notable expertise.

S I.

Yelp
Really good traditional Filipino food. Tables are not so close to each other as is typical in NYC but they may try to cram more when they get more popular. Prices were a bit high for Filipino food and a place located in Chinatown.
google avatar

Melody S.

Yelp
Amazing dining experience here! Super delicious food AND drinks, great service, every dish was crafted with care. We especially loved the potato soup, pork adobo, spicy green beans and strawberry mocktail drink. Great value as well. Calm ambiance with nice lighting.

Marivic W.

Yelp
We went today because we were hoping that they will serve delicious Filipino food. I was dismayed. It did not live up to our expectations. The food was blah. Nothing special. The Kare Kare does not even taste like what we are used to. Kare kare is made of thick and savory peanut sauce and there's none of it. The sisig - no. Mama Fina is still the reigning queen for sisig. We also tried the lettuce wrap with chicken appetizer - the ground chicken is so salty! The only thing okay with the food we got is the Negra rice and the fish. I will give them props for the food presentation though. Another thing, someone should constantly check the restroom because it's dirty. There's no trash can inside but outside. Strange. The waitress also told us - if possible the tip should be cash. Also strange for a fine dining restaurant.

Gigi R.

Yelp
Service needs to be improved. We experienced a delay with the food being brought out. Each dish came out 15 to 20 minutes apart. We ended up taking the rest of the order home. No would never go back again. We wanted to eat together not to eat one at a time.

Theresa M.

Yelp
The food is absolutely delicious--fresh, creative, and full of flavor. I enjoyed every single bite! Don't forget to order dessert--highly recommend the sizzling chocolate cake with the best date sauce you'll ever taste. The service and hospitality were excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. Bon appétit!

Yelp
I approached with doubt but left planning when I could return next. Staff members perform their duties without fault. I found myself truly impressed here. The dishes demonstrate creative taste thinking. I'm thinking about bringing family next time.

Josephine P.

Yelp
Walked in at around 3:30 pm and lunch was still being served. They started us off with the complimentary soup- it was a creamy potato soup with homemade rolls- tasted like a buttery pan de sal to me. There was also complimentary adobo peanuts and sweet spicy dried dilis. We ordered the Pork Humbanado and the Lechon Kawali. I enjoyed the strong flavors of the Humba paired with steamed white rice. The lechon kawali was served with a vinegar dipping sauce. I don't know why I didn't ask for the typical lechon sauce. Both were cooked well. The servers were excellent-checking in on us and packed our leftovers with 2 extra cups of steamed white rice. I liked the ambience- bright and clean! Will be back to try their other offerings!

Yelp
My meal here was worth every penny and minute spent. Each food item was noticeably tasty. The team members provide outstanding care. What they cook tastes right and how they serve feels right. I can't imagine not returning here.

Joe C.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of eating here a few weeks ago. As someone who has spent some time in the Philippines, I'm very familiar with Filipino food. Each dish was really meticulously made, presentation was excellent, and the taste was just wonderful! What got me was the kare-kare. Traditional kare-kare is basically an ox-tail in peanut stew with some vegetables. Here, they substituted crispy pork belly and deconstructed it with the vegetables on the side and the crispy pork belly sitting on top of peanut sauce. It's a really pretty sight. Taste was spot on. The waitstaff was very attentive and the owner himself came by to ask how we were going and liking the food. Just a really wonderful experience and would definitely come again.

Margaret Y.

Yelp
My friends and I did a food crawl. Our last stop was BINONDO by Kabisera. The chef and the management are very open to comments of their customers. The waitresses are very attentive and very pleasant. The chef even came out to meet his customers. Pancit Negra, Fish cooked in coconut, and sisig are a must try.

Joyce Y.

Yelp
Food was spectacular! A large group so we ordered nearly all of the mains plates plus 3 apps. Each dish was beautifully presented in lovely pottery. Complimented simple dinner rolls with garlic chives, scape, scallion butter, freshly baked . Utterly heavenly. Chicken thighs steeped in herbs with its own broth. Delicious beef dishes, dipped bread in leftover sauce. White rice was so good we took leftovers home!! Pancit negra was squid ink pasta! Soft opening this week! Will return often!!

Emily Z.

Yelp
Nice new Filipino Chinese place. They offered a few complimentary snacks/amuse bouche: peanuts/dilis (dried fish snack), pumpkin soup (delicious! So umami), and bread (warm and buttery). The drinks were reasonably priced (12-14 for most of the cocktails), though we weren't drinking. Food: Mayon volcano: shrimp was tender and a little spicy, easy to share Chicken adobo: yummy, I always like quail egg paksiw sa gata: really delicate white fish in a delicious sauce that was a nice blend of creamy and acidic (a standout and ordered on our waiter's recommendation!) Squid ink fried rice with shrimp: yummy but a little on the salty side Pork sisig: really flavorful and delicious with rice I really appreciated that the mains came with rice. For four people, our table got a bit crowded with the plates. We didn't have room for dessert (the halo halo looked so good though!) but we would definitely come back to try more. Service: super nice staff; they let us sit even when two of our party were 10m late. Could've refilled our water a bit more often but no big deal.

Gigi T.

Yelp
Food was delicious and tasty. Not salty. The service was beyond excellent. They always come by you and ask.

Amelia J.

Yelp
My friends and I had dessert in Binondo, a new Filipino food restaurant in East Broadway. We had Halo- Halo, a mixture of Philippine sweet banana, ube, sweetened beans, and other sweet ingredients over shaved ice. Since one order is too much for one person, we asked for three small bowls so we can share it. It is so deliscious and refreshing in these hor Summer days. We also had another dessert of turon which is fried banana wrapped in spring roll wrapper. Also very good. It is a tasty accompaniment for the Halo- halo. The service was very good and staff were friendly. Although the place is small, we thought it was just right and very clean. I would definitely go back to taste their full meal dishes. We are glad that there is now a Filipino restaurant in Chinatown.

B K.

Yelp
They were decent. I would probably order from them once a month, but they don't do take-out. Kind of annoying. I guess they feel their noodles are too fancy to be eaten in front of my TV. They're good but I'll have to order from elsewhere because I don't always feel like going out,

Charlie L.

Yelp
the food and service is excellent. the dishes have the right taste . I liked the Kare kare , pancit, pinakbet and kawali . There is easy parking on The street .
