A rather odd experience. It is very cosy and charming inside and some of the dishes were delicious, the squash soup in particular. They also catered for gluten free very well. However, there is no menu so you have no idea what is coming, there is only one choice of red or white wine and everybody gets the same. There was plenty of courses and we came away feeling full but for the price I felt none of the ingredients were particularly special or exciting. I would have happily paid the same, had two fewer courses but had something a bit more special. Also its cash only and a 13-min walk to the nearest ATM, it would be hospitable to invest in a card machine and/or mention it on the phone when you book.

This hotel is spectacular. I stayed in the self-contained apartment with stunning views of the mountains. The apartment is very spacious and I was well looked after by Chef Gabi and her mum with delicious vegetarian food. A peaceful place to stay which is only 20 minutes from Salzburg, a few monitored walk to the town and some amazing walks to undertake.||Great value at this property that sits amongst stunning scenery!

I stayed here for three nights and this is a home and not a hotel in the traditional sense, and it is just perfect. It is designed as B&B, and the house is over 500 years old and has been built and belongs to the family who lived there. There are multiple rooms, but we had own big bedroom, with a massive bathroom and our very own living room and balcony looking out into the alps. The house is extremely lived in and personalised with knick knacks and personal decor. which is what gives it character and history. The best part is the family cat, who practically owns the house. She has her designated area and food bowls and is family to the owners; who are the most lovely and delightful people i have met. The food is all vegetarian, but absolutely incredible and creative. the breakfast is a large affair consisting of home made jams, and organic eggs, butter, cheese, muesli, and more. This is so scrumptious and filling that it takes you right through the day till dinner. Dinner is a set menu, but every day is different. there is no menu to order from, so all the food is made fresh and served on the spot. It usually is a 6 course meal, consisting of home made breads, salads, soups, and then the main course which too divine to describe, filly finishing up with organic coffee and home made biscuits. Overall the stay was extremely pleasant, cosy and very home stay, and gives you the true Bavarian experience and a taste of their genuine hospitality.

We found the restaurant in Michelin gourmet guide. This is a unique place. A small 2 room hotel by an acclaimed vegetarian chef with award winning books. Even more amazing than the food was the atmosphere and interior design. A world of its own. My husband and I happened upon this gem of a restaurant on a walk through town. We knew nothing about it and popped in to see what we could find. Two lovely ladies were cooking and invited us to dine there the following evening. What a treasure! The food was extraordinary and the service even better. Several courses were lovingly presented for such a reasonable price in a cozy cottage. We felt so special and cared for. This is a MUST if you are in the area. A great break from all of the sausages and cheese! We will be sure to return in the future. Wow! Such a treat. Thank you!

We (my girlfriend and me) have been there in April 2013 and all we can say is that the hotel/restaurant is perfect! We had such a great food; both - dinner and breakfast. We had the luck that the famous daughter of the owner Christel was also there. Normally she's cooking in the United Arab Emirates for a sheik and his princess! ||We got so delicious food and beverages! Christel and her daughter Gabi are so friendly and lovely people, we really enjoyed our stay there! ||On the whole i can say the we had probably the healthiest meals in our live until then!||||The hotel rooms need just a few improvements; shutters in front of the windwos for example. So that you can sleep a little bit longer in the morning.||||In other respects, like i already mentioned, everything perfect! You will enjoy your stay!

This place is absolutely stunning! The quality of the food is excellent, freshly cooked, very good service, the decoration beautiful! It is always my first choice in Berchtesgaden! Try the 7 course menu with fresh herbs and flowers from their garden and spices from Dubai/Jemen. ||Outstanding!! Try yourself!

Wir waren heute zum Brunch hier und hatten eine tolle Erfahrung. Essen und Service waren sehr gut, alles creativ und liebevoll angerichtet. Unser Hund bekam ungefragt Wasser angeboten. Ein kleines und feines Lokal mit nur wenigen Tischen. Reservierung erforderlich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
