Where to dine near Five Points in Denver | Eater Denver

"Solving the problem of staffing in the restaurant industry, as well as diners who needn’t be bothered by humans, is the tech-driven restaurant Birdcall. Trading out wait staff for kiosks, hungry patrons who hate socializing only need to tap and swipe through a number of fried chicken sandwiches — including crispy chicken with pimento cheese and Nashville-hot birds — along with salads, and a few side dishes. After checking out, diners sit tight and watch the order countdown on the big screen." - Morgan Carter

Google
I can’t say enough good things about Birdcall! From the moment we walked in, the experience was top-notch. I ordered the Dirty Bird from their secret menu, and it was hands down one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve had—crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sauce had just the right amount of heat, complementing the perfectly cooked chicken. Paired with a side of crispy fries and a refreshing drink, it was absolute perfection. My daughter went with the Deluxe Chicken Sandwich, which comes with bacon, pepper jack cheese, tomato, and lettuce. She loved every bite, and the flavors worked so well together. The real showstopper? Her side of loaded tots—golden, crispy, and piled high with delicious toppings. Birdcall knows how to do chicken right, and their attention to quality and flavor is clear in every bite. We’ll definitely be back soon!

Google
I recently visited Birdcall in Five Points to try their limited-time Spicy SzechYuan fried chicken sandwich, a collaboration with Chef Penelope Wong of Yuan Wonton. The sandwich features all-natural crispy chicken topped with spicy Szechuan chili oil, honey ginger coleslaw, and charred scallion kewpie mayo, all nestled in a soft brioche bun. The combination of flavors was exceptional—the heat from the chili oil balanced perfectly with the sweetness of the honey ginger coleslaw, and the charred scallion kewpie mayo added a rich, umami depth. Kudos to Birdcall and Chef Wong for crafting such a memorable sandwich. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Google
Solid spot for fried chicken! The Nashville and Southern Sandwiches were our favorites. Be ware of the extra hot tenders, they are VERY HOT. too spicy for me. Thanks Stephanie for your warm hospitality!! I’ll definitely return to try something else.

Google
Really solid chicken sandwich! I appreciate the variety of beverage options. It did feel weird that there was little to no human interaction, so it is hard to offer a high rating of service because we were served our food through a wooden box.

Google
We loved Birdcall when we lived in town, so we had to visit while we were back for a conference. The vegetarian option has changed - it was tofu, now it’s a “Meati” chick’n patty. Not as good as the tofu, but still delicious. Get the southern sandwich- can’t go wrong with pimento cheese and slaw! You order at kiosks, which lets you customize your entire meal. They even have cocktails and beer they can be added to combo meals. There’s a small indoor area with seating and outdoor seating wrapped around two sides of the building. Service was quick - the screen with the estimated time for your order is a nice touch.

Google
Very good overall! I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. I wish it had a little more kick to it so I recommend getting the extra hit if you like spicy food.

Google
KILLER chicken sandwich!! So fresh and the chicken is juicy. A must if you are around. Very organized space too — contactless ways to grade your order. I loved their custom drink variety and beer options too. The only minor minus was the seating — I didn’t like the chairs inside it seems like they are made not for big butts and there are only 3 tables with the couch available.

Google
Mighty tasty food at this Birdcall location! Decided to go here for dinner. Was really good and wasn’t that busy. Staff were great, food came out in a good amount of time, and delicious food and drinks! My Oreo shake was good, the original (without pickles) sandwich was tasty, so was my mom’s Grilled Chicken Caesar Sandwich. The place looked clean too inside and outside and the bathrooms are clean. Overall, great Birdcall. We will return soon!

Yelp
It's rare to find an establishment that's so knowledgeable and professional when handling Celiac Disease. Staff knew exactly what was safe and communicated with confidence. Thank you!

Yelp
The Bird Call location in Cherrywood just opened and it was spectacular. Stephanie was so helpful helping us to choose what to order and they provided great service. You definitely need to get a spicy margarita! Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
this place was good!! Coming all the way from Nevada, looking for a chicken sando.... I gotta say, I am surprisingly, not disappointed. Parking here can be a bit of a challenge, so make sure that you're taking advantage of the parking lot on the side and behind the building. The food was excellent. The tots were perfectly crispy and seasoned to perfection. And the chicken was nice and juicy. The bun was nice and soft and hot. The overall space is pretty small so you're probably not gonna wanna come here with a large group unless you're gonna sit outside. The menu is pretty self-explanatory. So you can order online or you can go inside and do a self order... Or if you're like me and you need to have some questions answered because it's your first time there's a gal that absolutely can help you. Super nice folks overall I would absolutely make this a regular spot for me if I lived here. Nice job Team!

Yelp
Solid place for some fast food! Restaurant was clean although we came and ordered to go so we didn't spend much time inside. You can order from a kiosk and pick up the order from a cubby on the counter. They have a TV that shows ETA for your food as well! Would go back

Yelp
Absolutely killer place!!! Stopped in last night for dinner and was blown away. You come in, order on the iPad, and they bring the food out. We ordered a southern chicken sandwich, Nashville hot sandwich (mild version), 2 fries, a banana pudding shake and a cookies and cream shake. Shakes came out first and fast- both were amazing. Banana was authentic taking and so so good. Cookies and cream was wonderful and portions were great. The sandwiches then quickly came out and were super fresh. My southern chicken sandwich had just the right amount of pimento cheese. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich had the perfect amount of spice and incredible pickles- they tasted homemade. The fries were crispy and fresh. Love their ranch and birdcall sauce. We will absolutely be back!!

Yelp
Ordered catering site unseen from Birdcall. They arrived on time, followed directions entered for driver (this must be a lot harder than I imagine because most don't)! I received many compliments on the food!

Yelp
Great sandwiches and milkshakes! We had the one that had BBQ and onions I think? But we ate it so fast lol fun outdoor space and fast service!

Yelp
Clean, easy, fast, good food! We were at the DU location and the Hampden locations looks larger. My son and I really enjoy it

Yelp
We were super confused about the restaurant being INSIDE the Whole Foods so just be mindful of that. You order via self service kiosk & leave your tray by the trash bins so there's really no team interaction since they place your food into a bin to pick up. The restaurant was very aesthetic & clean, but the booths aren't comfy at all. We ordered the original chicken sandwich without pickles meal & a kids nuggets meal with fries. The chicken sandwich was decent, but sorta bland so seasoning would've definitely helped. The nuggets on the other hand were burnt & so tough to chew. The saving grace was their fries! They're slightly crispy, fluffy, & perfectly salted so I was very pleased with those! Overall, run of the mill fast service chicken place but slightly below average in my opinion. Luckily, it's fairly cheap compared to most spots downtown so not a major loss.

Yelp
The Birdcall that I know and love!! We live in Colorado Springs but were in Denver, so decided to try Birdcall up there. The Brussel sprouts salad has not been good at the one in the Springs and I decided that I wasn't going to get it anymore. I tried it at this Denver location and it was more like it used to be at our location. The chicken caesar sandwich grilled chicken was similar to how it used to be in the Springs too. I highly recommend this location. It does have limited indoor seating.

Yelp
Birdcall was great! I love the automated system and swift delivery. We went in for the collaboration with Yuan Wanton, which is off the hook! If you're in the mood for a good chicken sandwich, definitely visit Birdcall. We ordered a side of tots - the portion size was perfect to share. Beverages include lemonade, tea, and sodas.

Yelp
The Birdcall off 26th was a great location- inside and out was clean and the patio area was amazing to sit out and enjoy the weather over a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich and some tots. Food was hot and crispy so I was very happy with my lunch choice today. Im giving it 4 stars for 2 reasons- 1) I ordered a side of Birdcall sauce which they didn't include but still charged me 25 cents for (which is no big deal). And 2) they sent me a text stating my food was ready for pickup in bay 8. When I arrived it was not there but behind the counter..as well as two other people's orders. One by one we talked to the cashier and he handed our items to us but it kinda defeats the purpose of having "bays" for you to pick your food up quickly in and avoid waiting in line for your order like I did. They even have a screen showing your order status but it wasn't too efficient, maybe it works better when it's busier? Food was still great though so I'm not super upset about the couple things mentioned.

Yelp
I'm not sure why it has taken me so long to write a review for birdcall considering I eat it basically once a week. To say I'm obsessed is an understatement. I usually get their kale salad but they recently removed it (please bring it back)! Now I've been getting their curry chicken salad which is so good. Unlike most "fast food" places there is NEVER a weird piece of chicken that will gross you out. All the ingredients are so fresh. I've had many of their chicken sandwiches that all are amazing. You truly cannot order wrong here. The tots and fries are to die for. So many good sauces to choose between as well. I literally haven't stepped foot in a chick fil a in five years bc I would never pick that over birdcall. This place is an absolute staple in my book.

Yelp
Food was amazing. A Stoner's Dream. Added the Parmesan Crisp, Bacon Jelly, Coleslaw, and Bird Sauce to the plain chicken sandwich. A*Ma*ZING!!!

Yelp
Ordered off of the website and loved being able to customize my order. I wanted the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with dill pickles instead of the sweet ones and I got that. Opted for lettuce wrapped instead of a bun, got that. It was a fat, perfectly cooked piece of chicken. I chose tater tots as my side, yum. To drunk, an Arnold Palmer, yum. My daughter ordered the original chicken sandwich and ate half. She had the seasonal fruit for her side. She got the cookies and cream milkshake and I was lucky to get to try one sip. The other half of her sandwich was enjoyed on our plane flight home and it was still delicious. If you like chicken, go here.

Yelp
Such a cool spot! inside or outside dining? Whatever your choice is you'll feel good about this spot. It feels light. It just feels relaxed and happy. Tried their Chicken Tenders 7 pieces and their Nashville Hot Sandwich and fries. They were so good and moist! They carry beers, cocktails, salads, organic soda, Rocky Mountain soda, Teatulia Tea, cookies ,shakes and margaritas! So many things to try! Their mission:* make natural foods accessible. * natural and local sourcing. * 1% is given back to the community. They have five other locations in Denver. They're inside Whole Food too. And these all started here! So they're local!

Yelp
This location is one of my favorites, maybe because of its proximity to my place. A nice stroll up Glenarm or Welton streets from my place to the restaurant builds an appetite. I love the patio and the variety of seat options, from sidewalk facing bar seats to high tables and benches. The interior is quite nice as well with plenty of windows and natural light. I used the kiosks to order my meal and it was relatively easy, just wish they accepted Apple Pay. It took a few attempts to read my credit card (card stripe to the right). The service was on par with most places and they bring your order to you if requested to dine in. The chicken is delicious. I ordered the Nashville Hot Sandwich and the Chicken Tenders. If you love your food super spicy go with the extra hot version of the Nashville Sandwich, the regular was hot enough for me, but I prefer things balanced. The French fries are excellent here, crispy and salty. Come here and enjoy the patio, best way to dine at this location. Did I mention they have beer, a perfect companion for spicy chicken.

Yelp
Ordered the 7 pc tenders to go. Got home, they gave us 6. Boooooo! Way to short change your customers. Being able to count is essential. Also, overcooked! Update- Let me add that I did get a hold of the manager via email, as per the request in the follow up below, which states they wanted to "make it right", but I never heard back from them, so apparently they don't care to much to make it right but only for public image.

Yelp
Well I'm DEFINITELY coming back here for the milkshakes if nothing else. I'm usualy craving them more often than most food or drinks. Anyways, I did some coworking with a friend nearby and stopped into Birdcall for lunch. It's been awhile since I've seen one of those "order at the kiosk, pick up at an individual window" situations, not since I lived in San Francisco. The experience was confusing because I could have ordered at the kiosk OR with humans at the counter. It would have been WAY faster not using the kiosk. Use that only if there's a long line. There also seems to be slightly different menu options listed between the kiosk and readerboard. Ultimately I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Tater Tots with an Oreo Milkshake. Should have gotten a shot of alcohol in that shake. It was pretty busy for lunch, but the screen tells you when your meal is next in queue. Love the seating areas here, especially the outdoor benches. Met up with a few friends, and we all sat outside together. The sandwich was good but not particularly memorable. I'm a huge fan of tater tots and milkshake, so I'm planning on both of those for a future midday snack.

Yelp
This location is so lovely! I came in on a day when the weather was perfection. They had the doors open letting fresh air in and the patio is great to enjoy your meal on. The meati sandwich is insanely delish! I did add tomato and avocado to give it a lil extra sumsum. Pro tip: get your French fries well done to give them that extra crisp!

Mariami

Yelp
I used to love their Chopped Salad. It used to be pretty large with fresh ingredients and used to cost about $13 - $14 with chicken added. Today, I got one, and it was nearly half the size of what it used to be, the wrong type of chicken on it, old lettuce, and they charged me more than $16!!!!! Never going back...

Yelp
Ordered bird all for a work lunch and it was decent. I was missing some sauces so had to go and ask for more. The tater tots were well seasoned. I also got chicken fingers which we super greasy. I know they're not supposed to be super healthy but these were way too greasy. The box was stained and my napkin was soaked by the time I finished eating. I also got the berry tea. It was slightly bitter which I wasn't expecting but good! I probably won't be returning but good to try.

Yelp
Stopped in to a new (I think?) location of Birdcall in Boulder a couple weeks ago at the suggestion of my partner. I was craving a sandwich after we swung by the Home Depot right around the block and this seemed like the perfect place to try. I love trying new places so I was all in. As I always mention, parking situations are important to note - I always feel the need to pay attention just in case it's a make or break point for people. Birdcall is smack dab in the middle of a pretty huge strip mall right off of 28th, so while it gets pretty dang busy during lunchtime, I've always managed to find parking somewhere relatively close, but do keep that in mind... it can be a challenge sometimes. The restaurant itself is decently sized - not too big and not too cramped - and a nice young guy said hello right when we walked in. He offered to give us the school on how ordering worked, which we appreciated considering it was our first time in. He noted that ordering was done via tablet, after which your name and a timer would pop up on a screen to let you know when your meal was ready to be picked up. Once the timer ran out, a number associated with a little cubby hole in the wall would appear next to your name to let you know which cubby to grab your food from. Sweet! So painless, so easy, and nothing is lost in translation. I don't remember the exact name of what my BF ordered, but it was a classic chicken sandwich with a bunch of toppings and plenty of sauce. He got fries and and a coconut soda to go with his meal. I, on the other hand, despite really craving chicken, ended up ordering a tofu sandwich that had some Asian slaw and peanuts/peanut sauce on it... I got some tater tots and an Arnold Palmer with mine. So here was the good: - Super easy process of ordering/paying/picking up food - Clean dining area - Friendly staff - My BF loved his meal - Price point is pretty reasonable, 'spesh for Boulder The not so good: - Seems like people crowded around the little cubbies a lot, which got a little annoying at times... my preferences (personally) is waiting at a table until you see your name on the screens around the dining area rather than standing right in the middle of the action the whole time. - I did NOT enjoy my sandwich... but I feel that was totally on me LOL. Definitely should have gone with my gut and ordered chicken. Too much tofu and the flavors were not my favorite. - The tater tots were on the verge of being cold when we picked them up, but they also seemed a little too overdone. Not going to deter me from trying again, but might choose a different side next time. Overall I thought it was a pretty decent experience, but will need to try again to see if it warrants a 5-star rating for me. Super cool concept, though, and would recommend it if you haven't been.

James M.

Yelp
I usually only leave positive reviews. Tonight is the rare exception. When ordering online for pickup from a short walk away, I experienced a significantly longer wait than the order ready text I received would have suggested. I left a nearby music venue to pick up dinner. Waited a long time, tried to order a beer but they were out, and finally left to return to my friends. I also noticed my order being re-queued and falling farther and farther behind in the queue. That was unnerving. I came back a half hour later, more than 45 minutes after my order, and my dinner was ready. When I was back with my friends, we realized the bag included only our food. There were no utensils, napkins, or dressing for my friend's salad, which made it inedible. The only reason this review is not for one star is because my sandwich, while warm and not hot, was okay tasting. The tots were almost cold. They clearly were having a bad night, but that doesn't alleviate the reality of my terrible customer experience. I hope they figure it out as they've been a staple in Five Points for a while now and I hope they can remediate their situation and improve.
google avatar

Cesar H.

Yelp
I live less than a five minute walk from their Five Points location and I hate it because I love Birdcall and I go way too often. Their classic chicken sandwich is so good, juicy and tender; it is very well seasoned as well. Their shakes are some of the best I've tried, specially their chocolate peanut butter one. Their fries are okay but the chicken definitely steals the show! Try their rancher sandwich, the Nashville hot or their nuggets. 10/10
google avatar

Yelp
This location has spacious seating particularly in the patio. They also offer Meati, a local meat-alternative from Boulder sourced from mycelium (what a fun-guy). You can sub it in for any chicken sandwich. The breading is great and the texture is less chewy compared to chicken and closer to a fish filet. The flavor is great and there's a variety od sandwich options. I loved the nashville hot with Meati and a side of tater tots-- the tots are all perfectly crispy and salted just right. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Savanna B.

Yelp
Birdcall is pretty innovative- you can order and pay using touchscreens on the wall and they take your name do you can watch the countdown until you food is ready on a screen on the wall. I love the way their restaurant looks too- very sleek and modern. Almost all of their packaging is compostable too which is super awesome. I got the Rancher sandwich and it was tasty. The chicken is really really good. The fries are also delicious, as are the tater tots, which I normally do not like. I couldn't get enough of theirs though! Next time I'm going to try one of their milkshakes and chicken tenders because the chicken is so good there's no need to waste space filling up on buns!

Yelp
I decided to celebrate a day off recently with some Birdcall for lunch. Admittedly, my lazy self has been pondering doing an order from here for a 'work lunch' for weeks, but it was the day off that got me to celebrate. I highly recommend using their website if you're going to do a pickup, or you're doing a larger order for delivery (they'll deliver for free for larger orders); Their website interface is a thing of beauty, and there are a lot of extra beverage options (read: growlers & draaaanks) if you go that way. I went with Yelp/Grubhub fulfillment for this experience and I had my order delivered quickly (~35 minutes). I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, ordering extra Nashville hot sauce on the side given other reviewers said it wasn't sufficiently hot. That proved entirely unnecessarily; it was nicely seasoned and definitely kicking! I also got the Blue cheese coleslaw and tater tots (...I mean this was an insane amount of food for one person, but I had to). The coleslaw was delicious, but the Frank's hot sauce in it definitely gives it heat (I won't order it with the Nashville Hot sandwich in the future). The tater tots were crispy even with the transit, and they were well-seasoned with a special spice blend that reminds me of bbq potato chips. I had gotten a couple of extra sauces for dipping, but in truth there was a flavor abundance going on that made it all pretty unnecessary. I would probably plan a little more balanced in the future. Aside from this lovely experience, I would be remiss not to mention that Birdcall has some amazing salads that I've tried as well, and if you're looking for a way to justify a massive, crispy, fried chicken piece of heaven, know that you can also get yourself a salad for later. Two birds...one order... Finally, a special shoutout not only for the excellent love they've been giving to hospital workers, but also for the eco-conscious choices in packing materials and compostable silverware! So much love... Way to remove 90% of my guilt about ordering delivery.

Yelp
I went to the location just north of 38th and the chicken had good flavor though a bit over cooked and barely enough for the bun. The tots were fine but in true Birdcall fashion they gave me the wrong drink and my order disappeared the first time (no confirmation) so I had to re order. If you have a taste. Prices for a chicken sandwich have gone crazy so not sure its worth the price. Because I am a self professed plain Jane (no sauces) many might enjoy the other sloppy chicken sandwiches they offer. I get the basic.

Yelp
Ordered takeout from Birdcall the other day! We've had some delicious fried chicken here in the past so we were excited to return. I'm trying to be healthy so I got a salad - the Southwest. It was pretty pricy @ ~$10 especially without any meat, but it was tasty nonetheless! My boyfriend got the chicken tenders and sadly they appeared more like chicken nuggets. He still enjoyed them but was disappointed by the size. The sauce at Birdcall is also delicious - but we'd probably just get sandwiches next time for the best bang for our buck (plus some tasty fried chicken!)

Yelp
What friendly and fast service! Love the chicken sandwiches, great outdoor area and open space (enclosed in winter), flavored sodas, incredible milkshakes, and drink option!

Yelp
Fantastic & flavorful chicken sandwiches! The menu of chicken sandwiches and salads has something for any craving. They even offer a tofu sandwich. I decided on the Southern Chicken which was delicious- I only wish it had more pimento cheese. My husband enjoyed the Rancher. The chicken sandwiches are quite large so you definitely won't leave hungry! We both shared an order of fries which was a good choice - no way we could have each finished a side. Looking forward to trying different dipping sauces on our next visit. Their online ordering and curbside delivery make this an easy in and out meal pickup! While I appreciate the napkin was neatly packaged - my only criticism was they only gave us 1 napkin for our order. We had to picnic in the car & 1 napkin didn't go very far for their saucy sandwiches!

Yelp
We got takeout sandwiches from Birdcall and they were very good. The online ordering was easy, I love that you can get anything extra hot (at least the sandwiches). My wife got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich, I got the Triple Threat, and we shared the power salad and an order of tots. I'll start from the end. I don't get tots often and these were good. They had a little bit of seasoning on them, so don't expect plain tots. The Power Salad was great. It was pretty filling and probably could have been my whole lunch, but what fun is getting a salad at a hot chicken place? If I recall correctly, the dressing was a little tart for me, but I'm not a big fan of salad dressing anyway, so take that with a grain of salt. My sandwich was great. I also got the habanero aioli so it may have been a quadruple threat? I was sweating by end time I finished dipping my sandwich in the aioli. Awesome. I'd get it again and this time probably slather the additional aioli inside my sandwich. My wife's Nashville Hit Chicken sandwich was excellent as well, but I only got a bite. I'll have to try one whole one before I can talk more about that. I look forward to eating from Birdcall again. The Social distancing and curbside pickup looked great and the staff was wearing masks, hand sani was available and all in all it looked pretty safe.

Yelp
Bird call rocks. Every establishment I have went to have awesome food and nice service. I defiantly recommend everything on the menu. For atmosphere I would go to the ones not in the Whole Foods. But the food tastes the same.

Yelp
Delicious food and great beer. Nashville Hot Sandwich is a favorite and the tater tots are always crisp. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Birdcall is the cat's meow . . . so to speak. They've converted themselves into an efficient drive-in diner. Best pick-up app I've found. You order and pay on-line. When you get their text that your meal's about ready you drive into their parking lot and park in a numbered space. You text your space number to them and out they come to drop off your order. From the time I decided that what I really wanted for lunch was simply a chocolate milkshake to the time I'd ordered it and drove the 1/2 mile to pick it up meant that I was gone from my office and done with the whole process in under 10 minutes. Birdcall, you rock!

Yelp
Just 'meh'. Not a terrible spot, but definitely wouldn't suit everybody. The modern decor is a nice touch, especially the bathroom - but one was entirely out of order with the toilet clogged up, and they weren't very clean. The customer service counter wasn't very friendly and didn't make it clear that we could choose to order there or on the tablets to the left. The whole vibe was a little off. The chicken strips are flavorful, but ours varied in size so much that some were way overcooked, and some were fine. Their tater tots are my favorite item we tried. Their slaw is creamy, but has this crazy kick to it that I know a lot of people wouldn't expect or like. Folks who like spice wouldn't even call it a 'kick'. It's like you got punched in the face by pepper, mustard seed, and vinegar. It's a little too intense for my taste, but some may love it because it isn't boring and traditional. The sauces didn't deliver what I expected, either. We ordered the Birdcall sauce, which was essentially a Big Mac sauce or fry sauce. It was good, but I really was in the mood for a nice honey mustard. Their sweet mustard is dijon based, with lots of vinegar and sugar. No layered flavor with it, so it was a pass for me. The star of the meal was their sweet tea. I'd come to Birdcall just to grab some. It's extremely lovely and locally made with 'black tea essence' (whatever that means?) but it tastes fresh for a food chain. They have several varieties of teas you can choose from. If I remember correctly, there was a Raspberry one that other people seemed to love. All of their colas are local made in Colorado, as well. They don't have any traditional name brand sodas, which some people really love. I found it lovely to try something new for once. I also noticed their main ketchup is locally made. 'Elevated' is the brand, and they make a very rich, tomato-y ketchup that I liked a lot. Overall, I wouldn't choose Birdcall again, but that is solely on my personal preference and I'm sure others would love it if it's the right fit for them.

Yelp
Pre-quarantine, I'd pop into Whole Foods near Union Station and grab a chicken sandwich and fries from Birdcall. On several occasions mind you! What drew me in last night? Well, they have a super cool promotion right now. If you purchase one meal on DoorDash, they will donate one meal to local healthcare workers. How effing cool is that?! They've already donated thousands in Denver! The food, as always, is great. It's simple, yet done the right way. Chicken strips and fries with their famous Birdcall sauce. Omg, so damn tasty! And so damn satisfying! There's some great chicken spots in Denver. Birdcall is the best when it comes to the fast casual genre. I love seeing businesses come together for the community. Especially during the times we're facing right now. Consider placing an order at Birdcall while this promotion is still active to take care our healthcare heroes who deserve it!

Yelp
This place was goood! I got the Nashville chicken sandwich and a beer during happy hour! I never had birds all before and it was really neat being inside a whole food. The only thing is it could have been a bit hotter temperature wise. The ketup was really good and tasted like tomato without the sugar!

Yelp
Ohh man if you like chicken sammiches you have to come here and try out their variety. I think they're a chain? However their different selections are tasty. Variety is the spice of life. I enjoy their drinks too. They sell alcohol to go so be aware when ordering cause I thought it was kombucha this watermelon cooler drink. However, it ended up being an alcoholic drink! Lol I can't drink that mid day while I'm at work! Or can I? Jk jk jk. I do like the structure as well with their pickups. Its in these little cubbies that have your order. Less contact and less having to wait.

Yelp
My BF and I always get the same quick eats when we want something and I was determined to try something new. We drove over here and there was a small parking lot so that was nice since many places close to downtown Denver have street parking. This place is order at kiosk and pick up at counter which was nice not to feel rushed since I've never been here. We took our time perusing the menu and you can customize your sandwich choices. There were about 4 iPad kiosk things so plenty to use. We submitted our order, paid, and sat down. I saw they have Birdcall sauce but no description and since you don't have human interaction - I couldn't ask. I didn't want to risk it on my first experience. The place was clean but the tables were sticky. There was a guy sweeping while we waited so good to see cleanliness is important to them. When our order was up, we were called by name and heading to the counter to grab it. So, their fries taste like McDonald's. YUMM! They somehow cracked the recipe. I LOVE McDonald's French fries so that's cool that they were able to get that taste without a ton of greasiness. The chicken sandwich was good. Good flavor but kind of small. Not like a thick chik-fil-a patty but I guess portioned well. I'd say with this chicken sandwich war nowadays - this one was good too. So, pretty good. Kind of pricy but not greasy at all. And the human interaction we did have with the employees was VERY friendly and genuine. We had someone come check on us half way through our meal. Maybe that's the trick to keeping servers in a happy mood - limited interactions lol.

Yelp
Being smack in the trajectory for my commute, I've been to birdcall a number of times. It has an interesting system set up with tablets to order from that makes the interior seem unique. I've gotten the Nashville hot and it's pretty good but not quiteee there flavor wise compared to others that I have had 4/5. I have also had the southern and it ended up being ok, 3/5. The fries and dipping sauce is quite good 5/5. The kids meal is actually quite substantial and ended up taking home half the tatter tots and a chicken tender. I'll probably be back frequently.

Yelp
I was disappointed this location did not have AC working properly. I felt really bad for the workers because it was super hot inside while waiting for the food. I was impressed with the flavor of the chicken and the sauces. I wasn't to impressed with the fries.

Yelp
Not a fan. Menu online lists more sauces than they actually have. I'll stick to Cane's.

Yelp
Ordered an Asian Salad, which is supposed to be free of meat & cheese, but found multiple pieces of chopped up chicken in it. If you enjoy cross contamination, eat at Birdcall. For me, never again.

Yelp
This is a belly up to the bar or table kind of joint that offers quick sandwiches and salads that largely feature chicken in all its glory. Their salads are very easy to personalize with a wide range of fix'ns and proteins. Their burgers are deep fried or grilled and they have a veggie alternative to chicken for the vegan palettes. The hot chicken burger is hot, the very hot is fire! The whole menu is all pretty salt forward. To their credit, they must change their grease often because it never tastes greasy. For those more COVID cautious folks, their curbside pu is unreliable so you might either have to go at off hours, wait a long time, or Don a mask and just pickup inside or go to the drive through. Overall, good for Denver, okay for everywhere else.
