Where to Feast on Fried Chicken in Denver | Eater Denver

"When the flagship of this fast-casual chicken shack opened in Five Points a few years ago, rather more media attention was paid to the high-tech operating system than to the food — but Denver’s diners quickly flocked around the sandwiches, making way for the launch of this LoDo kiosk and a University outpost. Half the fun is in the selection, with options like the Teriyaki with pepperjack and pineapple and the Southern with pimento cheese and slaw, plus an array of side sauces like buttermilk-herb mayo and sweet mustard." - Eater Staff

Birdcall Flops Into the Future of Fast Food - Eater Denver

"Birdcall reimagines fast-casual dining with a kiosk-dominated approach, but it sacrifices personality for efficiency. Despite being full, it feels impersonal and dominated by smartphone use. The fried chicken, which should be the highlight, is disappointing, and the inconsistency in execution across locations points to broader issues." - Camila Navarrette

Google
I ordered a CHICKEN DELUXE SANDWICH. Wrong but still super helpful. Ordered online. Just got off working 10 hours. Took a train home and ordered ahead so I can eat while I wait for the next train. I waiting patiently for my order that was done earlier than my recieved pick up time. 6:24 instead of 6:30 awesome ! I'm not sure if they mixed up the bottom buns but this was truly disappointing.(honest mistake tho) Cant blame em. Its a Hump day for sure <3 They honestly were awesome about helping me get what I payed for Surly if they make a mistake they fix it. THANK YOU JACK. WILL BE BACK BECAUSE OF HIM ALONE

Hello, I'm a weekly customer and the service I've received has been excellent. The food is always freshly prepared and delicious. I love eating at the restaurant.

I have been eating breakfast burritos here for almost 3 years and used to love them. However, recently, the quality has declined. The burritos have shrunk in size and are probably premade now, whereas they used to be made to order. Today, I received a burned burrito that tasted horrible. I probably won't be eating here again.

Every time I come into Birdcall, manager Jack is consistently hospitable, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. I once saw him handle a tough situation, and he did it with absolute class and tact. He treats his team with genuine respect, which really shows in the vibe of the whole place. Now, let’s talk about the food—Birdcall is good AF. Mix that with the solid leadership and positive atmosphere, and you’ve got a winning combo. The Slider Box? That’s my go-to—you can’t miss with that one. And if you’re feeling adventurous, grab the loaded tots and add Nashville Hot Chicken. Trust me. Since I’ve been back in Denver (September), Birdcall has stayed in my top 5—and that’s because of their consistency. Jack is a major part of that. Birdcall, don’t let that go over y’all’s heads.

Google
I was recommended to eat here and it’s not bad. They have unique drink flavors (I mixed my drink) and I got an original chicken sandwich.

I love coming here. I come often to enjoy the food. It's always delicious and of good quality. Highly recommended! 🫶🏻

Google
Average for sure. Pricy too. It's a fun experience, but Popeyes breasts out in flavor and price unfortunately, so I don't feel okay giving many starts. The food feels like it's of good quality, but it's kind of like the cooking techniques actually hold it back. Chicken was dry for the most part - on both the sandwich and the tendies. Fantastic tator tots tho

We must ensure chefs have fans on hot days because they deserve relief from the heat. It's essential to prioritize their comfort!

Yelp
We got two sandwiches right before a Rockies game - the location was perfect. We got off the train at Union Station and walked right over to Whole Foods and had our pickup order ready. I got the Rancher sandwich (All-natural crispy chicken, bacon onion jam, white cheddar, and Bird-B-Q Sauce) which is always such a pleaser. My husband got the K-Pop, which was delicious!! The fried chicken was perfectly glazed and the kimchi coleslaw was delicious. Always love going to Birdcall for a fast casual lunch or dinner.

Yelp
I don't love that it's located in a whole foods but my boyfriend and I really enjoyed this place, both chicken sandwiches we got were delicious, the fries were so good too. The only thing I didn't love that I got was the milkshake, it wasn't bad but just not a great milkshake for me (my boyfriend liked it though)

Yelp
This place was so much be on my expectation, an awesome! To begin with, it is conveniently located inside the Whole Foods by the union station. It offers a combination of fried chicken and tenders as well as delicious salads, not to mention beer on tap. There are plenty of sitting next to it so you can choose to enjoy your meal there or take away. The other system was efficient . You use a kiosk to order and you can show the progress on the big screen. I love the chicken, tender that came with different options of sauces . It is not overly greasy or dried out. My kale salad was amazing, too packed with fresh ingredients in a balance of crunchy and soft veggies. The price was fair as well. For the portion, I even had a little left over for the second day. Overall, this is a must try not to mention convenience of being inside a Whole Foods store, and you can easily go grab dinner after a grocery run.

Yelp
By far my favorite chicken sandwich I think I've ever had. I love the ability to quick order from the kiosks, and then pick up the food from the hexagon cubbies. Quick and easy whether you're eating there or taking to go. I recently learned they have breakfast too and I'm a little addicted - just too convenient right by union station. Couldn't recommend enough.

Yelp
Thank you Birdcall for my $50 gift card! I only spent $25 of it so far so I'll be back soon to use the rest. I had enough to feed my husband and I and even some leftovers to give to someone in need on my way out chicken tenders spicy chicken sandwich fries and a cider ! It all tasted amazing and I love all the sauce options! Birdcall has always been one of our favorite places. When the Rockies games are going on it's our tradition to bring Birdcall with us for the games! Everyone should go check this place out. They also have their ordering service down to a science. It's all a win win along with their amazing service ! @eat.birdcall #birdcall #eatbirdcall #chickenlover #datenight #winnerwinnerchickendinner

Yelp
I was in Whole Foods, starving, and decided I better get some food first so I didn't go overboard with my shopping. Birdcall is right inside the Whole Foods and had nuts-positive yelp reviews, so I excitedly ordered a Nashville Extra-Hot chicken burger along with chicken tenders (I repeat, I was starving!) Honestly, this wasn't bad, but a little underwhelming. Chicken was a little dry across the board, but the breading had a nice flavor and seasoning. I disliked the pickles on the burger: too many of them, and a little too sweet for me. Nashville Extra-Hot was surprisingly mild. Overall, not bad if you're already in Whole Foods, but I wouldn't travel to come here. I would put this a tier below both Dave's on Platte street and any Chick-Fil-A.

Yelp
Upon entering Whole Foods, this location of Birdcall is conveniently located inside of Whole Foods just outside of Union Station in Denver. It is usually fairly busy but never overcrowded. They've got a menu of a variety of food, desserts, beverages including alcoholic beverages as well. I ordered me a simple chicken sandwich which came with fries and beverage, you can make it a meal. My meal was tasty and delicious, one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had so far. Birdcall does offer free refills which is awesome. There're many places to sit if you do plan on dining in, it's also very clean and pretty spacious. It's a good place if you have kids as well just watch them closely because it can get crowded. Overall, great place to dine in for a meal or drinks, and also a great place if you rather do take-out... I highly recommend.

Yelp
Good food. Good service. Very casual, but the chicken sandwiches are delicious as are the tots.

Yelp
HOT DAMN! I've gotta say I was skeptical of the Birdcall hype. How can a chicken sandwich be THAT good. Well, after my inaugural dinning experience here on Wednesday - I get it. In fact I have already gone back... In the same week. That's right, twice in the first week. Let's talk about why: Star #1: The ordering system! Whoa! It's so smooth. You order at a kiosk where you can enter in exactly what you want and customize it to the way you want. Love it! Star #2: The pickup process! Once you place your order, it will update on a screen showing the order queue and an approximation of how long left before your food is ready. After it's ready it will update with a bay number, and you proceed to the cute hexagon shaped pickup bays. Star #3: The staff! So friendly and helpful. During both of my visits, they have always been so awesome. From offering help at the ordering kiosks, to ensuring I have all the condiments I could possibly need with my meal - they really go the extra mile. Star #4: The bevvies! Want a delicious iced tea? You got it. Want a soda? Sure, go for it. Craving a craft brew? Yeah, buddy they got that. What about a milkshake. Oh yeah their milkshake brings you to the bar. Haha! They def got all the beverages you need to wash down that delicious meal. Star #5: The food! YUM! I've noshed on the Deluxe (all-natural crispy chicken, bacon, pepper jack cheese, tomato, lettuce, and buttermilk herb mayo). The first time, I removed the buttermilk herb mayo and added the spicy mayo. Oh yeah, that's the jam. The second time, I spaced out my drool-worthy substitution, so I grabbed a side of spicy mayo when I picked up my order. Well, that made a delicious way to eat my fries. Highly recommend. Given that I find myself hungry in downtown Denver several days a week now, I know I will be back more often than not. So excited to be a Birdcall convert! Cluck Yeah!

Yelp
When I crave a Chicken sandwich, Birdcall at Union Station is my go-to spot. They have many great options, but I just stick to my favorite, Nashville hot Chicken Sandwich. The ordering is easy and convenient. You can use the kiosks or online. Though, they can get very busy during the weekday lunch rush, keep that in mind. Staff members are always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Nashville hot - extra hot! Pretty legit chicken sandwich for under $8 dollars. I also decided to be healthy and get their "fresh start" breakfast sandwich one morning which definitely had quality ingredients. Best part of this place is drinking in a Whole Foods. Next best part is when they have their happy hour and beers are $2 off. Beers are already super cheap here to begin with.

Yelp
I had high hopes after reading the reviews. This Birdcall is inside a whole food market. They have a few bar stool seatings around the shop, and there are more benches available in the whole food general area where you can sit down and eat. The servers are friendly and helpful, but seriously I don't see what all the fuzz is about. I tried the chicken strip and chicken nugget. Both are coated with a similar batter, and deep fried to order. I saw the workers apply the batter before dunking their chicken into the fryer. But anyway, both the chicken strips and the chicken nuggets are kind of dry inside. No juice no matter how hard you squeezed on the chicken. Of course that is not the way you should be eating that, but just say. Maybe it is just me. It seems that a lot of people enjoyed the chicken here.

Yelp
Maybe because I had high expectations coming to this place because of all the Yelp reviews hyping this place up calling it "best chicken sandwich" in Denver. Needless to say, I was not impressed by this place. Their message seems to be "all natural ingredients" but I do hope my lettuce and tomatoes are all nature - isn't that a given? "All natural" is not highly regulated by the FDA it basically is a marketing term to make food sound healthy. Maybe if they had said "100% organic" I'd be impressed. Their chicken sandwich tasted greasy and the "all natural" ketchup tasted gross. It was far from being the best chicken sandwich I've tasted. Their tater tots were good but just tasted like good old tots, nothing special.

Taylor W.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the staff were so kind to me, especially when I was having a bad day! My mood instantly got better after sitting down to enjoy my sandwich and fries!
google avatar

Yelp
Eat more chicken!! This Birdcall is located in a Whole Foods and has self service order kiosks. Super easy to use and switches over menus from breakfast to lunch. We got there a bit early and wanted lunch. We waited for the switchover! Check the lunch times! Haha I ordered the vegetarian option which was made with Meati Chicken. The meat shred just like real chicken and was very tasty! I loved it! The Asian slaw complimented the sandwich perfectly! This location is super close to the Confluence Park so we took our food to go and enjoyed it at the park. What a great date idea if you wanted to spend some time outdoors!

Yelp
Went out of my way to come to this spot to grab some dinner, and I was confused when my maps app took me to a Whole Foods. The food here was really good, ordering was easy, and it was all prepped quickly. For a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, it sure did pack a lot of heat. Great flavor though. 4-Stars because it's housed inside a house of Jeff Bezos. Not sure if this restaurant actually is owned by Amazon, but hopefully not; and if not I hope they can setup their own shop elsewhere. It's too good of a place to be owned by Amazon trash.

Yelp
OMG all 3 of us got so sick I am not sure if it was food or something else and this was not first time , we were out and about and decided to try again , within an hour all 3 of us had to use restrooms multiple times , very shady , I don't know if they added something or it was something regarding food itself . Same happened 2 months ago , so it is not normal that same scenario played 2nd time , I am assured either it was intentional or food itself . Never again . I do not suggest this place to dine or eat , horrible just horrible .

Yelp
Located in the heart of lower downtown- Birdcall is the go to place for a fast casual chicken sandwich. Don't sleep on their happy hour. For $2.50 (yes inflation included) my girl and I had an IPA each on draft. That's a steal in my book. Considering it's in downtown, you're hard pressed to find a better deal. What I remember most from my experience there is the acting manager: Patrick. Me bring me.. I was drinking a noticeably flat beer. It wasn't until my girl pointed it out to Patrick that he unashamedly brought us another round on the house. He quickly changed the tap and we were rolling again. If you're into sauces, their bbq ranch is a favorite that works on most all their burgers elegantly. It's a fun happy hour and a great place to take a break near Union station

Briz G.

Yelp
Went here and sat at the bar the other day. The food was amazing. We got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and fries and the chicken so so good and flavorful. The young woman (stefany) who helped us was also extremely friendly and helpful. Stefany lets us have a few samples of sauces to make sure we made the right decision for our sandwiches. Probably the best fired chicken Sammie's I've had in Denver. Will be back this week

Sean P.

Yelp
Delicious and crispy fried chicken. I have not had the sandwiches yet but they look exceptional. The bird sauce is amazing too
google avatar

Christy P.

Yelp
Giving me shake shack vibes though way more efficient. You can order on a screen but you can also order via someone (what happened to me since you can get the Nashville sauce on the side but not through the app). I loooved the display with the wait time for your order and text saying what shelf it would be on. Chipotle could never. I keep mentioning chains bc I can see this one blowing up. It also tasted good and they included stickers and candy in my order whaaat.

Jenuine S.

Yelp
BirdCall ain't bad. Yesterday, I had the $1 meaty sandwich, and Tierra's recommendation for the cookies and cream milkshake was epic. The food's pretty good

Chloe H.

Yelp
Consistently gets delivery orders incorrect. I'm not sure why it is so difficult for them to follow very simple instructions, i.e., add diced avocado & southern coleslaw.
google avatar

Noah M.

Yelp
Very easy to use digital display to order your food with pricing listed. We went during a busy lunch hour but the staff still checked in on us to ensure we are doing good. The food was excellent, one of the most flavor packed chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Fast service as well. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Delicious. I don't eat meat so I tried their veggie tofu sandwich- it was awesome. Tasted nothing like tofu! Lol Great crunch on the tofu, with peanuts on the sandwich. Just delicious. Fries were hot and really good, as well. They lost a star because their side salad was about 5 bites and way too sweet. As is their bird call sauce- very sweet. And I asked for no cilantro but still ended up picking it off of my sandwich. Definitely worth a try. Their chicken looks so good!
google avatar

Kevin Y.

Yelp
It seems like a great concept, but you can't call yourself a beer garden and then take 10 minutes to pour a beer. Food looked tasty, for what it's worth, but their ordering system is effed up. And the beer came in a metal milkshake cup, WTF. (Addendum) The metal cup isn't awful to drink out of, and I like the recycling angle. Would have preferred a pint glass, but better than plastic. Beer cold and tasty. Still need to fix the order queue issue.

Karen C.

Yelp
I was a returning customer today ani am very disappointed I got the strips with two sauces I had to go back because they didn't give me my sauces then when I opened my said strips mind you I paid for the 7 strips and I got six strips and a nugget picture attached no joke not sure the cost is worth it
google avatar

Misty M.

Yelp
Overall somewhat underwhelming. I had higher expectations when ordering my food. The pros: easy online ordering, food was ready quickly, and curbside service was quick and friendly. The cons: I ordered the Nashville hot sandwich. I know it only came with pickles but even the pickles were underwhelming and chicken was kind of dry and lacked enough sauce. Popeyes has a juicier sandwich. I also ordered fries, the Asian slaw, and a kids meal. The size of the chicken you get is small, on the sandwich and the tenders. My daughter wanted more chicken, fortunately they gave a generous portion of tater tots. The fries are a shareable size and the slaw was just okay. It's not priced bad but also didn't live up to the pictures on the website or other Yelp pictures.

Yelp
Good golly miss Molly, Birdcall won me over after one fantastic chicken sandwich! I've walked by this Birdcall location (inside Whole Foods) a number of times. After a meeting at Union Station, I was hungrier than usual after skipping breakfast. I originally planned on hitting the hot bar at WF, but for whatever reason I changed my mind. And boy, did I go down the path of juicy chicken sandwich enlightenment. After figuring out the ordering process, which is relatively painless at the self-serve kiosks, your name and order number appears on a screen where you can monitor in real time how long your meal will be ready. I know what you're thinking. This is no different than fast food. Au contraire, my friend. Your food will come out quickly, but you'll be sold by the bold and savory flavors! Everyone makes a chicken sandwich nowadays, and I have to give the folks at Birdcall credit for rocking a phenomenal bird. Tender, juicy, spicy yet subtle buffalo sauce. And most importantly, the perfect bun to meat ratio. It has that all-American feel, though elevated to 11. Let's keep the lovefest going, because these shoestring fries are straight up addictive as hell. They taste like the superior version of a very very very very famous fast food chain's fries. The meal should've ended, but I couldn't stop myself from savoring every last fry. Fast, affordable, delicious. Need I say more?

Yelp
Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich at Birdcall is the perfect ensemble chicken sandwich offering in Denver! Located inside the Whole Food's near Union Station, this small fried chicken sandwich shop serves up one of my favorite Nashville Hot Sandwiches in Denver. Birdcall has a convenient and unique ordering platform. Instead of ordering from a server, you swipe your card into one of three iPads and place your order electronically. When your order is ready, you will get a notification via text or on their flat screen TVs so you can conveniently do your grocery shopping as your meal is being prepared. My go to order is the NASHVILLE HOT SANDWICH, extra hot. There are two reasons why I consider this sandwich as the perfect ensemble: the simplicity and the attention to detail. Its a very simple sandwich: bun, chicken, pickle. Birdcall does a great job at each of these three ingredients. The chewiness of the aspen bun complements the crispness of the juicy spicy chicken breast; I actually think they have the best bun in the chicken sandwich business as most others are too dry and flakey. And the pickles! The pickles have the perfect combination of sweet and tangy, to give you just the right amount of relief with each bite of spicy spicy hot chicken.

Yelp
My hotel was right next to the whole foods and as I was yelping a food nearby, Birdcall popped up. Since it was part of whole foods I didn't have too high expectations for it and I wanted to try it so my boyfriend and I shared a nashville hot chicken. After taking one bite each, we both regretted not getting our own. We ending up stopping by a second time later that day and each got our own sandwich this time around. Thats how much we enjoyed it. With research later, I found that they actually have an additional 2 locations that are stand alone stores. I would've ate here a third time but figured I should try other spots out too. Can we bring birdcall to all the whole foods in California please.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow~! Birdcall's just as good at their Five Points location as they are down in their LoDo location inside of Whole Foods. Many of you will remember this place as Tom's and when he sold out I was despondent because Birdcall was taking over what had become to many of us an institution. And while I miss the comfort food Tom used to serve, Birdcall's Nashville Hot sammie scratches that same itch with its fried chicken, hot sauce and pickle twang. Sign me, David "Y'all Come Back Now" M.

Yelp
First off, I am a HUGE Birdcall fan. I frequent the other two locations often but this was my first time at the Union station location - it was a huge disappointment. My veggie sandwich (which is usually my favorite) was literally just a GIANT block of tofu, with hardly any breading and tasted completely soggy. I wouldn't mind a lot of tofu so long as it has any kind of flavor and is balanced with other ingredients, but my sandwich basically had none of the other toppings, and the sparse toppings that were there had a weird fishy taste- definitely not fresh at all. Really unpleasant to eat, just tasted like a flavorless, nasty, wet slab of uncooked tofu. Birdcall is absolutely worth the try but do yourself a favor and avoid this location at all costs!!

Yelp
Love this birdcall. I had a great experience with Joe who helped me make sure me and my party of 5 had everything we needed. Outstanding food, service and experience. Can't wait to come back

Yelp
Nashville hot chicken and tots are amazing! I ordered for delivery for lunch from my hotel. The downside, by the time I got my order the tater tots cooled down, but still tasty. Go in person and enjoy this place. It's worth the trip!

Yelp
I love Birdcall, the chicken is great. My favorite thing on their menu is that brussels sprouts salad. It's delicious!

Yelp
The food is okay, but the "service" was horrible. We sat at the bar for a few minutes. No one paid attention to us and that's when we found out that you order at a machine. Technology is cool, but they don't work in every situation. We had a passport to get buy one get one free, but there's no button on the kiosk. We called for help and no one came. We even pushed for help on every machine and no one still came. Extremely frustrating. We ended up just grabbing the cook. The food was okay. Nothing over the top amazing. I recommend NOT getting the extreme hot. I never understood when people say that they don't like spicy food because it ruins the meal, but this made me completely understand. I love spicy food, but it's uncomfortably hot. Maybe if they had someone helping with my order I could have avoided this mistake... Definitely not an enjoyable experience by any means.

Jeremy M.

Yelp
Amazing food and the staff is even better!!! Thank you guys for being so awesome!!! Your shakes are so addicting!!!
google avatar

Rohan L.

Yelp
Awesome spot for a burger and drink inside of Whole Foods. Ordering is very cool - it's all touch free and comes up on a screen. Service was quick and the food was delicious. The Nashville hot was fairly spicy but very savory! Definitely recommend coming by here if you want to grab a quick bite

Yelp
I discovered Birdcall several months ago while ago while searching for a place to order breakfast for delivery. It was one of the best discoveries I've made during the pandemic. Their food is so fresh and delicious and the prices are reasonable. It arrives still hot and delicious. Their tater tots are the best I've ever had anywhere. The delivery orders are packaged very securely, which is so important right now. I open the bag and feel like my food has been protected. I am a huge fan!
google avatar

Yelp
Want to follow-up on my review for several months ago. I amazed by the management and ownership of Birdcall. They reached out several time to make sure my experience was up to their standard. A growing company has challenges to meet the hungry demands of customer I appreciate anyone who wants to satisfy the customer. After taking a break I went back and am pleased to say the chicken sandwich was outstanding. They've perfected their batter single my last visit and it delivers a powerful mouthful of flavor and crunch. The shoestring fries perfect salted and yummy. I know there is a A national chicken sandwich chain that should be fearful of this Denver start-up.

Yelp
Excellent and quick service! They delivered to the hotel we were staying at and provided a really delicious and healthy breakfast sandwich. I'm taking care of myself because of a diabetes diagnosis that hit me unexpectedly and they had a great option for me. Delicious whole wheat English muffin with egg white, tomato and avocado. Very moderate portion too! (My husband ordered two ;) Coffee was still nice and hot when breakfast was delivered! I would order from them again.

Jordan H.

Yelp
Not great and for sure didn't live up to the hype. Entered the Birdcall portion of Whole Foods at 730pm and it was completely dead. Should have been the first warning sign. Ordered at the kiosk and the lady behind the counter continued to stare at me the whole time. I showered and was dressed in normal clothes in case you were wondering (not that it matters if you don't). I had to look down at my phone because it was so awkward. Got my food, but didn't check the bag. Should have, as they forgot my coleslaw. The chicken needed salt on the outside and the fries were all the burnt ends. The dipping sauces also lack flavor. It seemed like a healthier version of chic-fil-a, zero frills. Won't be back unfortunately and my Saturday night dinner, that I look forward to all day, was a dud. Bummer!
google avatar

Sophia N.

Yelp
The Nashville extra hot is mega spicy and delicious. Their buns are toasted and really good. Kids had the chicken nugget meals with chocolate milk shakes - easy hit. Ordered their habanero mango margarita and it was really tasty, not too hot but maybe my mouth was burning from the Nashville chicken so couldn't taste the heat
google avatar

Quinn W.

Yelp
The original Birdcall chicken sandwich is so delicious and doesn't feel as greasy as other restaurants that sell chicken sandwiches. The Birdcall sauce pairs great with the original sandwich and is also great for dipping the French fries in. The tater tots are nice and crispy and have a special seasoning on them that I would love if they offered it to be added on the French fries as well. The most refreshing thing I ordered was the Caesar salad. The salad has many non traditional toppings for a Caesar salad but they all pair together well and taste delicious!

Yelp
Was staying at a nearby hotel and in the mood for a chicken sandwich so I stopped by here after looking at Yelp. Once I figured out it was inside Whole Food's, I then was directed to a kiosk where I ordered. Ordering was easy, but making this choice of which sandwich to try was hard. From kiosk to order ready was like 2 minutes. I went with their Buffalo chicken sandwich which had blue cheese slaw. I am not a fan of slaw on my sandwiches but I tried it anyways. It was really good. The chicken was quality and the buffalo sauce was tasty. I definitely wished that I had found this place earlier so I could have tried another sandwich before leaving town. I honestly don't know what "the best chicken sandwich" even means but this was top 5 and much much better than any fast food sandwich I have had. Good news I found out they are coming to Phoenix, so I got added to their mailing list and look forward to trying a different sandwich next time! Please invite me to your opening!!!!!

Yelp
It's been over a year since I first went to Birdcall. This particular location is very close to my boyfriends apartment. I was craving a chicken sandwich and didn't want to particularly drive anywhere. Plus it's Sunday, Chick-fil-a is closed. Haha. First we both got the Nashville hot sandwiches. I love the bread that's used and the chicken is juicy and not dry. Then we got a side of fries and tots. The tots are soooo good. Whatever the seasoning is, it's really good. My boyfriend even agreed that the tots were really good. The fries were fries. Nothing special but it hit the spot. I was craving a chicken sandwich and fries. So I was one happy girl. I didn't get a shake this time but they do have some pretty tasty shakes. I would definitely recommend. We just did take out and it was perfect. We will definitely be back when we went another chicken sandwich. And the location is literally perfect for us. It's a short little walk. Highly recommend. :)

Yelp
This sandwich was awesome. I came here for an event prior to opening day and got to try their food for free and really loved it. I got the Nashville Hot which truthfully is not hot at all, but still had pretty good flavor. If you like Chick-fila then you will Love BirdCall because in my opinion it's 10x better. The only downfall in my mind is that they don't have normal flavors of soda. For some this might be a positive, but for me I don't really need fancy vanilla cola when all I want is a Coke. Aside from this small fact, BirdCall was great and I highly recommend it to any chicken sandwich lover.

Yelp
not sure if it was just all the build up of anticipation that i had but this place was not what everyone cracks it up to be. the bread was dry and cracked and the chicken also so so dry.

Yelp
We got the chicken deluxe sandwich, and my son loved it! It was a bit messy, but what good burger isn't. Plus my son loved licking the sauce off his fingers.
